fuck all you bitches i’m gonna defend rory gilmore till the day i die!!! she is overhated!! yall just don’t understand her!!! i’m not saying she doesn’t have flaws & there aren’t valid reasons to dislike her, but half the time people be doing too much and literally misunderstand her character.

and yes i do hate logan!!! i like logan & rory as a couple, and he has cute moments, but as a PERSON logan is an arrogant, classist, asshole!!!! the fact is, rory made logan a better person, while he made her a worse one!!!! she brought out his best traits & he brought out her worst ones.

like who meets someone and starts trying to debate with them. like i can get down with rivals to lovers and bickering as flirting, but he did not KNOW her!! he was just starting a fight with a random girl because he thought it was fun, because it entertained him and that’s all other people are to him. entertainment. maybe that’s too far, but idc he didn’t even remember marty’s name! he probably treats service workers like shirt & doesn’t tip. and when he got mad at rory for criticizing his rich friends— valid criticism might i add— just because HE felt attacked. like yeah, you’re rich & an asshole & out of touch, sorry to tell you! and yeah, rory had no right to talk because she is also rich and privileged in the same ways, especially at that time, but that doesn’t negate the fact she was right!

they work because, yes, rory did get annoying in the later seasons, but high school rory would HATE logan. like y’all hate on yale rory as if logan isn’t the main version of her, except WORSE yet y’all love him 🙄

and i NEVER see anyone criticize logan for cheating on his fiancé, yet everyone’s up rory’s ass for cheating with dean. and yeah, that was horrible and lindsay deserved better, and while cheating can not be excused iit’s clear that dean manipulated rory while she was going through a tough time. she was transitioning into a new environment, where suddenly she wasn’t the smartest person and people didn’t dote on her and tell her how amazing she was 24/7, she missed the safety and familiarity of Stars Hollow and her childhood and dean gave a little bit of that back to her. was it horrible for her to do that? yes, but also he told her him and lindsay were getting a divorce— A LIE— and then slept with her!!! her first time was founded on a lie!!!!

i could & WILL defend her to the moon and back. and ya know what, idc about the tree thing. was it a crazy and entitled thing to do, hell yeah, but it was funny and real as fuck. like i wouldn’t say it out loud, but i would be annoyed if someone took my tree even though id know its not logical. it’s like how i hate when people are in the kitchen when im cooking as if they don’t also live in this house.

and i would ALSO say no to logan’s proposal, like godforbid i don’t want to get engaged right after i graduated!!! like damn bitch wait a fucking minute! and why must it be all or nothing?? you think you’re gonna go out & find the love of your life because she said no? well guess what, years later you’re still pinning after her— yall coulda been married by now but you decided to break up.

and unrelated but i’m the BIGGEST max medina hater. that man is my worst enemy. i don’t even wanna explain my hatred for him because it’s seems so obvious. i mean he proposed to her to stop a FIGHT, he is so immature and toxic but because he’s attractive and reads books and is charming somehow that means he’s not an asshole and overall shitty person. he is a male manipulator!!! you can’t tell me he didn’t think lorelai was below him, he definitely thought he was smarter than her. paris was right when she said he was probably dating someone dumb, not because lorelai is dumb, but because he thinks she is. like him correcting her in the middle of a fight????
