Ok so the running gag of Eddie losing his shoes was hilarious but why is none talking about how in the final act, when they are running from the xenophage in the lab, Venom grabs a pair of sneakers for Eddie. This. Everyone who thought it was okay - morally justified, even - to harass him constantly, dox him, SHOW HIS FACE - you are no better than fucking Orion. You make me sick. You all need to get off the internet for as long as it takes for you to learn not to blindly leap to accusations. You could have gotten an innocent man killed.

This is coming from a fucking survivor - for YEARS I kept my assault to myself because my assailant was known and respected. But I finally came out with it and you know what? Of course my assailant defended himself. But I had people who believed me and quickly saw through his pathetic attempts to paint me as a liar, as a slut, everything under the sun. But that’s the difference: HE TOLD HIS SIDE OF IT. And when it became clear it was bullshit victim-blaming? People dropped him.

People like Orion, who lie about sexual assault just to get back at someone because they were uncomfortable with how aggressive he was being? That’s a slap in the face to every actual sexual assault victim out there. Everyone openly encouraging this hate campaign when we only had ONE SIDE of the equation is sick. I was so prepared to drop Kwite if it was true. Instead, all I got was a sincere, hurt guy just trying to get the harassment to stop.

From the bottom of my heart, Fuck. You. All of you. Stop making up bullshit to deflect from the fact that you are not on our side. All you wanted was someone else to cancel, and you took fucking glee in it. All of you need to take a seat and relearn what it means to WAIT.

To add onto my last post, if you defended Orion loudly before, whether you had shittalked kwite or not, and now are only either defending/excusing yourself for doing so or insisting we should always support victims even if they have no substantial proof and not once ever apologizing to kwite or offering support to him, then you are just a cloutchaser. Fullstop.

I don’t mean the people who immediately apologized and removed their hateful/supportive tweets right after, I’m referring to people who used to get into literal debates to support Orion or made multiple tweets in support of him before and yet after learning the truth, are now only trying to defend themselves instead of offering kwite support.

You only cared about the situation before because there was a person with a small following accusing a big content creator and saw that as a chance to win brownie points and internet clout. Because if you truly cared about victims, you would be feeling horrible that what happened to kwite happened to him and that you had a hand in pushing that belief.

If you truly cared about victims, you would feel terrible because Kwite was the real victim here and you inevitably supported his abuser. You should be wanting to express as much support as you had Orion so why aren’t you if you are? Kwite is a victim, if you truly believe in supporting all victims, WHY AREN’T YOU?

Because that’s just it isn’t it. You don’t want to “support all victims”, you want to support “your victim”. Orion used to be the victim but now that they’re exposed as the abuser that they are, you can’t get your brownie points anymore and so why should you bother writing tweets in support of kwite?

In addition, I’m sorry this is harsh but yes while we should support all victims, ultimately we do need some kind of substantial proof. I know it’s impossible to have a recording to video of the SA happening, I know it’s difficult to garner evidence, I hate that it’s so hard for the criminal in these crimes to be apprehended so many of the time and god I feel for all the victims out there but if we were to let SA accusations result in arrest without proper evidence simply because the accused is *potentially* a r@pist, can you imagine the repercussions that decision would result in?

Abusers would be able to falsely pin their victims as a criminal. Jealous exes could get their ex partners arrested. An employee might make accusations another to lower the competition for a promotion.

If Orion had gone to the police and they reacted in the same way many of the internet did and wholeheartedly believed him based off random selfies and a twitlonger, Kwite would be arrested. Think about that for a second. If the police did what these people did and blindly took Orion’s accusation as truth without him giving any substantial evidence, Kwite would be arrested.

Support all victims yes, but only hold the accused accountable if the victim is confirmed to be a victim. Otherwise you may very well be harassing the real victim yourself.
