S/O and Kaeya had a very healthy relationship but someone (don't ask who idk either maybe that girl who called us a whore in that fighting thing post) that made Kaeya think S/O cheated

Okay so Kaeya didn't show up to the tavern for a few days after their breakup but s/o got (concerningly) drunk every night he was gone in dilucs tavern

sososososo diluc had enough of this and attempted to kick them out but then remembered the break up and decided to stay with them and let them cry it out

hehe kaeya walks in later to see him comforting you <\\3

here’s a quickie cause this idea seems interesting, i might make it into a full fic another time:

the wine is sickeningly saccharine as it glides down your throat, leaving an invigorating burn at the back of it.

addicted to the dull pain, you chug down the remnants of your glass before you slam it down onto the counter in front of you.

“hit me again, ragnvindr.”

diluc watches you from behind the counter with concern subtly etched onto his features.

you’re too drunk to notice, though. it slips past you as sand slips past your fingertips.

“i think you’ve had enough, y/n,” diluc replies as he reaches out for your glass.

you whine at this, and proceed to slump into the bend of your elbow, far too exhausted to argue with the male.

a sigh escapes the bartender. the fact that he had easily swayed you over was concerning enough, for you had always possessed such a fiery personality unafraid of fighting for whatever you wanted.

it was at this revelation that diluc unfurled his crossed arms and made his way to your side. sturdy arms are careful when they lift you into his hold as he seated you in a much more comfortable position.

once confident that you wouldn’t slump out of the chair, diluc made his way to the sink to dampen a clean rag to clean up your face. after wringing out the cloth he silently made his way back to you, much more aware of the pitiful state you were in.

diluc had to shake his head in order to dissipate the rising anger within him.

how little trust did kaeya have in you for him to go out believing all those nonsensical rumours? for archons sake, cheating? was he serious?

“…unbelievable,” he uttered under his breath as he held your face in his hands, wiping you down with gentle touches.

his touch lingered as he brushed your hair from your face. the urge to place a chaste kiss to your forehead hit him, then, and he had to pull away before he could commit to such an idea.

unbeknownst to him, kaeya had watched the interaction play out from the nearby window, having trekked to angel’s share in the hopes of apologising for his unjust actions.

had he come too late…?

so Diluc breaks up with Y/N (which leaves them crying and like haha depression) and since the winery was usually where'd you'd stay you had nowhere to go, and your mind was stressed enough so GUESS WHAT YOU JOINED THE FUCKING FATUI LETS GO

After like a year you've not gotten over him but when you're stationed in Mondstadt KAEYA FINDS YOU (but doesn't recognise you) AND TAKES YOU IN FOR QUESTIONING HAHAHHAHHFHD

Ok then then uh Diluc finds out that a Fatui mage had been captured and he was there when the k.o.f took off your mask holy shit where do I get these ideas from

but the final look that diluc sends you is enough to have you stunned. stock-still.

it’s funny how those carmine orbs were once warm when they looked at you. looked at you with such tenderness. they’re nothing but charcoal now. lumps of used-up fuel.

it’s all you can do to fall to your knees and wail. your hand grips the area above your lamenting heart, trying to soothe what cannot be soothed.

diluc stifles one of his own sobs the moment he hears your cries- the cries he caused.

the dawn winery feels lonely that night.

icy fingers tilt your head from side to side, assessing you. how pitiful.

the same fingers trail lower and lower until they rest faintly above your chest. they splay out over the area, and a faint glow emits from the tsaritsa’s hand.

she breathes out a long sigh. a broken heart is not so easily mended.

“the poor dear,” she mumbles, and the medical examiner does his best to latch onto her words. he fails to perceive her.

“see to it that they remain a priority- no other patient comes before them,” her voice raises. a command. “and fetch me once they awaken.”

the examiner nods once, bows, and returns to your bedside.

“if you will it, your majesty.”

Imagine Diluc like going out on a mission and fatui reader (ehehehe) ambushes him and then reader who has injured their legs before (sus) suddenly breaks down and passes out mid fight

Diluc would probablyyy be like "oh well." *STAB* but what if i told you that Diluc knows this person o.o

reader took care of him when he was injured once and he promised he'd repay and to stay true to his word he took reader in like they did for him so HAHAHHAHHH

anyways reader wakes up and Barbara is bom-barabara-rding her with questions and then diluc comes in and is like "anyways since you're injured and can't do shit let me interrogate you" and reader gives false information but diluc knows that it's false information so he says to himself "tmr maybe"

but guess what reader sneaks out at night (in extreme pain) and a month later it still hurts but does the fatui care? No!

so reader goes ahead like "it's fine i can manage the pain"

*gets kidnapped by the kof*

*diluc gets called in*

this is oddly fitting seeing as the day after you sent this in hoyo decided to drop some harbinger drip 😭 in a situation like this i feel like diluc would be caught between being angry with reader but also not?

id imagine the interrogation process would be painful for both parties seeing as reader saved diluc in the past, causing him to want to return the favour. a lot of back and forths, and a lot of “why did you (___)”

i feel like this idea could go in many directions :>

*Diluc x reader prompt but it's based off my experience*

Diluc, Kaeya, and Y/N were bffs since they were young and have been through Crepus' death, Kaeyas pranks, everything you can name.

But as they say, Trios Never Last.

Y/N developed feelings for Diluc over time and Diluc liked them too, and (thankfully) they weren't obvious about it. But with this, Diluc and Y/N, despite how busy Diluc was, always hung out together and forgot to invite Kaeya.

Kaeya eventually broke off ties with them too, the only time he saw them after ending their friendship was at the tavern, and boy did he drink his ass off that night.

(no kaeya didn't have feelings for Y/N, he was just jealous <3)

His anger was already tempered from Kaeya teasing him, and when he saw you talking to a Fatui soldier with a Fatui suit on, he went mad.

"How the HELL do you explain being part of the freaking Fatui?!" Diluc raised his voice, something he never thought he'd have to do to you.

"I recognise you now." He muttered out. "...what?" You asked.

"You killed my father. I recognise you now.

No wonder you were so familiar when you were at the bar. You were there when my father was murdered."

Realisation hit you. It was you.

You're the reason he's like this, all those years ago. Could you blame yourself?! You needed the money. It was crucial at the time. Then you built your way up the ranks, you're so close to becoming a Fatui harbinger as well. "Look, I'm sorry--" you tried to explain, but you were cut off.

"dont even try." Diluc's hands formed into fists, whilst numerous knights, ready with cuffs and swords for you to be apprehended.

You were dangerous.

You had befriended Master Jean, found out her plan, found out Dilucs plan. Everyone's secrets, you know everything.

But you didnt plan to spill Diluc's, you truly loved him. And that was what he didn't believe, not anymore.

"I'm sorry, I can resign-" You said, shaking on the spot.

"No. I might hate the K.O.F and deal with you myself, but I can't bear to look at you." Diluc turned around and crossed his arms, as your eyes widened.

The soldiers took this as a sign, and started to cuff your hands, locking you in silver. "Diluc!" You tried to muffle out, but one of the knights kicked your leg, and you shut up.

You entered the tavern, the scent of alcohol entered the atmosphere, as you looked at Charles with tired eyes. You scanned the lower floor, and concluded it safe.

You made your way to the bar, as the loud conversations deafened out with every sip of your dandelion wine that you took. Charles looked at you with concern, but before he could say a word, you already started.

"(Boss) is being so unfair. The most sexist person I've ever met--"

Charles tried to speak again. "What happen-"

"This dumbass made me kill multiple hilichurl camps, but didn't provide me anything but a goddamn sword. No armour, no food- just a wooden. Sword. Then he told me I was so WEAK for a (Gender)!"

"My body hurts like hell..." You sunk your head onto the table, one hand supporting your head and the other grasping the drink.

You looked up at the empty glass, and shifted it to Charles. "More please."

You finished glass after glass, until your hands cramped. "More pl-" You got cut off, "We're out."

"Of what?"

"Dandelion wine-- you finished the last 4 bottles." You looked at Charles. "Oh." You sat in silence for a second. "Death after noon then, please." You hiccuped.

The scars were visible throughout your body, and as the crowd started to leave, more complaints about your boss arose. "And then (they)-" *hic* "called my gender 'dumb'!"

Charles looked at you concerningly. "I think I need to go to the restroom, one- *hic* second." You rose up, and stumbled to the (your gender)s bathroom.

Charles scanned the place, most of the crowd had left. But one thing caught his eye--

His boss.

Diluc's eyes were following your drunk figure with every step you took, and when you were finally gone, he turned to a man sitting on the same table as him. "Please excuse me.".

He stood up, making his way to the bar. "How many bottles of dandelion wine and death after noons did they take?" He asked Charles, who every now and then glanced at the restroom door.

"4 Dandelion Wines and... 2 Death After Noons." (Yes ik it is physically impossible to digest so much alcohol, especially strong ones, BUT LET IT BE ITS 1:30AM HERE IM TIRED.)

"2...?-" He stood in a bit of disbelief, before continuing. "How long has this been going on?"

"Every night when you're busy or not working sir they get even worse than this, and ever since they started the job...-" Charles stopped, waiting for a reply, when he didn't get one, he continued. "They've never told you because they thought you'd have even more stress on your shoulders, and didn't want to trouble you with their problems."

Diluc sighed as the restroom door creaked open, and you saw him. You guys locked eyes as you tried to do your most stable walk towards him. "Hel-" *hic* "-lo Diluc, i thought you weren't working today?--"

"Drop the act, I've been here since you entered, (Name.)" He said, (ik it's a bit cold but pls-) "Anything you need to tell me?"

More customers had left the tavern, and the man was still sitting on the table, counting money.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before- I didn't want to trouble you, and I'm sorry for not confronting you or my boss about- *hic* it."

"You're surprisingly quite sober for someone who's had 2 bottles of Death After Noons..-" Diluc said.

The man sitting on the table as he saw you and Dilucs hands intertwined together, and quickly understood. He stood up to get out, but you whispered in Dilucs ear and he was already off.

"Dont 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 come near me, my lover, or my tavern ever again."

Let's just say, he didn't have the limbs to.

ok I'm sorry but i thought of this a few days ago and it came back to me at 11pm let's go

Childe always thought you were just a regular citizen in Inazuma, but NO. you're actually the right-hand wo/man of the one and only, Tsaritsa. Who has never been officially revealed.

Ok so this is how the story goes: you two meet at the main part of ritou and you guys hang out together. You know who he is but have to act completely oblivious due to keeping your hidden reputation of your fatui position safe, and played along with him.

Until one day all the harbingers are mysteriously called to a meeting with the Tsaritsa, who reveals that she does indeed have a right hand wo/man. Childe obviously wasn't surprised tho -

Ok but this isn't without the angst is it???

Childe became super protective (not obsessive, protective lol) over you and every little scratch you'd come home with he'd absolutely blow up.

So if- no, when, he knows you're in such a dangerous job, he's obviously going to rage, isn't he?

So a few days later the meeting was called once again and the Tsaritsa introduced you as you walked into the room in a proper manner, and bowed respectfully to the harbingers. When Childe saw you, you could see in his eyes that they were even more dead than they were before, a shocked face replacing his usual chilled back and casual expression.

Once the meeting is over, he immediately pulls you over and practically begs you to step down from your position. You simply refuse, because you worked hard, but he got mad <33

He ignored you and never followed orders from the Tsaritsa or any other of his comrades, acting as a stubborn child(e) everywhere he went.

You understood what he meant, and decided to take action against it, threatening to strip him of his title if he continued to act like this. And? He started a fight.

Now, you were about decently skilled in the area of combat, which led you to absolutely no chance against him. He shot you down like you were some bird against a professional hunter, not breaking a sweat.

He was about to finish off the fight, until a fellow harbinger walked in and stopped him.

He was taken away and you were treated to your injuries, and every now and then visit him at Liyue, as he worked at the funeral parlour with an old friend, Zhongli.

He'd see you walking around with some other fatui member, discussing plans, you shot him a glare every time he stared, though.

You hated him with your guts, but he loved you with his heart, how will he ever mend your relationship with him?

Also, congrats on exams!

aoaoaoaaooaaa thanks for the congrats! it honestly feels so freeing now that i have 10 weeks off from any sort of educational priorities 😭

and this feels like an interesting concept. i can respect and understand childe’s opinions cause it must be hard watching someone you care about being in such a dangerous field. but at the same time, it’s hypocritical coming from a harbinger such as himself.

but i also get reader’s feelings cause they’ve worked hard to be where they are as the tsaritsa’s right hand. although surely that means we have to be at least on the same strength level as childe? unless being the tsaritsa’s right hand doesn’t involve fighting, but who knows!
