Whenever Jay falls asleep, he has strange dreams.

There’s a woman, with long, wavy black hair. Her face is always obscured by shadows, but Jay knows that she’s smiling at him; smiling at him with the biggest smile that no one has ever given him before. She wears a long dress, he doesn’t know if it’s a qipao or a kimono, but it matches her perfectly, a bright rose red.

Or maybe it was a soft pale pink.

Or maybe it was a cool ocean blue.

The woman grabs his hand, and he jolts at the sensation of her cool skin against his warmth. She says something. It’s muffled, and Jay tries to listen, but he can’t, her words are getting fuzzy, his ears are ringing, the hand in his isn’t real, his hand isn’t real, his body isn’t real, this isn’t real-

It’s dark. Stars decorate the night sky like freckles. There’s another woman, one with blonde hair, and she holds him as if her arms were molded to do so, molded to love him. She’s soft and warm and Jay leans into her touch, eyes gazing up at her obscured face.

The woman speaks but there’s no words. Her voice trembles, Jay knows it does as she stumbles over her words and chokes back sobs. A few tears fall onto his soft face and she quickly wipes them away.

The woman hands him to an older one, and she holds him with the same warmth, but he doesn’t like it. He sobs and cries and reaches out to the woman with blonde hair, and she hesitates. Her hands tremble before she pulls back, words barely audible througher her sobs.

“I love you.”

Oh.

The woman with black hair had said the same thing.

Jay wonders if it’s real, their warmth, their softness, their love; he doesn’t know who they are but they’re so familiar. Like he knew them in a past life.

Jay wakes up with a jolt, eyes wide and chest heaving. He’s sitting under a tree, leaves shielding him from the pouring rain and arms wrapped around himself to keep himself warm.

Jay gathers his supplies quickly and stretches before he begins to walk. He has a job to do; reminiscing on forgotten memories won’t help him. It never does.

One of my headcanons is that Libber (Jay’s mom) is a nickname and her full name is Libitina Noe.

Libitina is an ancient Roman goddess of funerals and burials, and Libber might as well be a woman of the dead since we have no idea what happened to her. Not only that, Libitina was associated with Venus, the goddess of love, beauty, desire, sex, prosperity, and victory. Doesn’t Venus sound like Cliff Gordon?

In Korea, the surname Noe can be written in two different ways, one meaning thunder and the other meaning “to request”. Libber was the former elemental master of lightning and she requested Ed and Edna to take care of Jay.

If Fíli, and possibly Thorin, had survived, they definitely would’ve been disabled.

He was thrown off like 50 foot tall cliff, that definitely fucked up his body in some way, so here’s what I’m thinking: permanent back and joint pain.

Fíli landed on his back on snow and while that may cushion his landing, it was such a thin layer (maybe an inch or so) that it only helped a bit, so he definitely broke his spine and/or ribs from it.

As for Thorin, there are two nerves in the foot, the lateral plantar nerve and the medial plantar nerve. Azog stabbed Thorin in the middle of the foot, meaning there was a high possibility he damaged the medial plantar nerve, maybe even the lateral plantar depending on the angle.

These nerves supply sensations to the sole of the foot and the muscles that move the toes and damage can cause heal paralysis, pain, sensory loss, and ankle instability.

Anyways that’s my yapfest on why I think Fíli needs a wheelchair and Thorin a foot brace and cane

Headcanon that Bilbo needs glasses and at the beginning of the journey he kept calling the dwarves by the wrong name. It was understandable, the families had similar sounding names so it was easy for non-dwarves to get them mixed up. But as time went on, Bilbo kept mixing them up, less so than before but enough times to raise an eyebrow.

They didn’t realize Bilbo was blind until Óin experimented and told Bilbo to read the title of a book from across the room. Bilbo’s eyesight is so shit that the words literally blended into the background so he said that the book didn’t have a title on the cover.

Dwalin, Bifur, and Oin are transfem trust

Fíli and Kíli are both genderfluid

Balin, Bofur, and Bombur have unlabeled genders bc they got a job so they don’t care about that rn /ref

Fíli is a yumeshipper/selfshipper

Ori writes fanfics and makes ocs… Fíli yumes one of Ori’s ocs

The Ri siblings have a hoarding problem cuz they grew up poor so they save things just in case (this is me projecting)

Fíli and Kíli thought Thorin’s top scars were from a battle because he and Dis forgot to tell them that he’s trans until they were in like third grade 😭😭 they were like “i hope i get cool battle scars on my chest like uncle!” And Dis went “what��

Kíli is a himejoshi and Fíli is a fujodanshi

Óin gave everyone their top and bottom surgeries, trust

Bifur hallucinates and her most common hallucination is water reaching up to his knees. After the axe in his head got taken out, her hallucinations became less frequent but she still has them

Thorin also hallucinates, it just doesn’t happen often. He tends to hallucinate people who aren’t there so he’ll bump the others to make them confirm that the person he’s seeing is real before talking to them

Nori used to feed crows and would make Dori and Ori feed them too. The crows have saved them multiple times from getting robbed at night when they were younger (and has also helped Nori steal from people)

Balin cries very easily. People don’t realize because he usually very calm and collected but if someone showed a bit of anger towards him, he’s crying in the bathtub

Bilbo and Dori like to talk about fashion with each other and they judge the others for their fashion choices

Ori and Balin are secretly gossip buddies… the others don’t know about their late night tea parties…

“Stop projecting on characters when u get a new brainrot” IDGAF 😭😭😭😭 anyways here’s some Company headcanons that I (mostly) projected

Dwalin

- Allergic to beef.

- Ate dirt as a kid.

- Loves mint ice cream but hates chocolate. Constantly wants to die because he can’t find JUST mint ice cream, it always has choco chips in it.

Balin

- Buys books just to not read them, says he’ll read them soon but he’s been saying that for five years now.

- Designated driver.

- Has the craziest alcohol tolerance, like he can go toe-to-toe with Thranduil’s tolerance.

Bifur

- Picks at his skin and cuticles, gets upset when he starts bleeding and goes “who did this.”

- Has minor memory issues.

- Forgets that she’s trans and then goes “what the fuck, I’m a woman, why do I have a dick.” Also buys pads but then remembers she’s trans so he gives the pads to Thorin. Thorin had a hysterectomy years ago (thanks Óin!).

Bofur

- Used to chew on his hair when he was younger.

- Bites people to show affection.

- Found out that the others were queer before some even realized. (Proof: Dinner scene in Rivendell in the extended version)

Bombur

- Unmedicated ADHD, part of the reason why he’s fat.

- Lowkey makes a mean lasagna.

- Allergic to dust but he swears he isn’t. Can literally be laying in bed with snot dripping down his nose going “ahaha no im not allergic to dust it’s just the pollen, ignore how its winter !!”

Fíli

- His main vocal tic is saying “Kíli” in a really high pitched voice.

- Autism in autism vs adhd.

- Jumped out of a two story window when he was 4 because Kíli brought over a friend that he didn’t like.

Kíli

- His main vocal tic is saying “Fíli” in a really high pitched voice.

- ADHD in autism vs adhd.

- Can’t taste flavors, will eat warheads for fun.

Glóin

- BPD.

- Has dyscalculia but would rather die than admit it 😭😭

- Road rage.

Óin

- Struggles with falling asleep and struggles with waking up (double whammy)

- If the opportunity arises, he would in fact eat someone purely out of curiosity (ex: someone dies and says that ppl can do whatever they want to their body, so why not cook a piece?)

Dori

- OCD.

- Massive germaphobe. Constantly has the urge to wash/sanitize his hands after doing something “gross” (running his fingers through his hair, scratching his arm, touching his face, etc) and gets anxious if he doesn’t.

- Can’t fall asleep unless he has Nori and Ori beside him/laying on him. Great for winter since Dori’s muscles are hidden under thick fat, horrible during summer because Dori is a furnace.

Nori

- OCD.

- Hoarder. Swears that he’ll need them later, usually won’t. If he loses something from his collection, he’ll be sad for like five minutes, unless it’s something he fought tooth and nail for.

- High weed tolerance. Out smokes Gandalf ngl.

Ori

- OCD.

- Arranges things in a specific way but it looks like a mess to others so he gets really upset if someone “cleans” it for him, forgets to drink and eat when he’s hyper-focused on something.

- Def of “i love it when ppl pick up my speaking styles!… nvm my grandpa just said skill issue.” That’s him and Dori.

Thorin

- Lactose intolerant lmao.

- Also lowkey has DpDr but denies it (Óin literally diagnosed him).

- Sleep talks. It’s how Bilbo knew what kind of ring Thorin wanted.

Bilbo

- Allergic to strawberries, apples, and bananas. Like a loser.

- Also has OCD.

- Has a personal vendetta against ants.
