silly question. but why do you like oberstein from logh? and not hubert, his black eagles counterpart?

did i ever say i dislike hubert? so so sorry 😭😭😭😭 he is legit the single reason i enjoy crimson flower 😭😭😭😭 the evilest wife-guy rubbing his greasy hands together.... he is on my top five houses characters because he is outright vile and doesn't even try to hide it...

the only reason i'm not a "hubert apologist" is bc he doesn't have to manipulate edelgard and is actually loved by her and she appreciates his sliminess and understands that it is needed for her to rise as emperor and keep the power as the war she started demolishes the continent.

meanwhile, oberstein has to lie and cheat and literally manipulate reinhard into letting a nuke kill an entire plantet and everyone he works with hopes he dies... bc literally no one likes him.

the ideological different between edelgard and reinhard also makes their dynamic with huberet and oberstein so different; and it is that extremely fucked up relationship that reinhard and oberstein have bc of kircheiss & his more uhhh pacifist (lol) approach to usurping power and doing a coup that makes me be obsessed with oberstein 🤷‍♀️

so it isn't that i don't care, or worse, dislike hubert, bc i do adore him... sadly it all comes down to "how can i torture this man further" and hubert enjoys his life too much for the fucked up yaoi synapses to happen in my brain (oberstein/bittenfeld means so much to me... hubert/ferdinand is just not fucked up enough to give me what i need 😔)

Protogenoi 6: Children of Cronos

       The Titan and King of heaven, Cronos, with his wife Rhea, give birth to six divine children; Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. But Cronos receives a prophecy that he will be overthrown by his own son, and in his fear, swallows the first five children. But Rhea, in her grief, tricks Cronos. Instead of handing over her sixth child Zeus, she delivers a stone wrapped in cloth disguised as a baby, which Cronos ingests. On earth below, Zeus is raised by nymphs in a secret cave on Mount Ida of Crete. Here a group of spirits called the Kouretes dance and bang their spears and shields together to drown out the cries of Zeus so that Cronos won’t discover the child.

         Growing older, Rhea helps Zeus to strategize a plan by poisoning Cronos, forcing the Titan to vomit up the siblings. Now free, the Children plot to overthrow their tyrannical father, the Titanomachy war owhich we’ll explore in the next chapter. The stone which Cronos vomited up, known as the Omphalos, Zeus places at Pytho in Parnassus, which later becomes the site for the Oracle at Delphi. The stone, believed to mark the center of the world, and thus the place where heaven and earth met, is later used as a tool for divination by the oracle.

So you never spoke to him unless in the ring for a promo.

But the Judgement Day, they kinda knew you. Because one time, you left your favorite hoodie backstage.

And it got destroyed by someone for a promo.

You were bawling your eyes out because for you. It was the only light purple one you could find in your size.

So after a few days, and trying to find another. You gave up.

Until Finn Balor approached you. He handed you a medium-sized gift box.

Noe Bodi Gameplay: Day 29

WE CHECKING IN ON ALL THE SIMS WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Jeremiah (@seulvgi) was up early in the morning, trying to call Kash (@saruin) to talk things out. But she didn't pick up. Of course she was still asleep. He spent the rest of that morning power sculpting through his feelings, determined to meet up with the girl of his dreams and fix whatever was broken.

Kash was actually NOT asleep; she was just unsure of what to say to him right now. She knew she'd never felt anything like this before, but she also knew things were harder with him than they'd been with anyone else. So she made herself a lil microwavable chocolate cake to distract herself from her uncertainties.

Between you and me, I checked their relationship bits. As you can see, these are soulmates with awful compatibility. Which means they're going to have to work twice as hard to have the happily ever after they're looking for. Do you believe they can make it?

Noemy(@beebeesiims) was having a much better morning. After reading an inspirational book of poems, she hurtled into the kitchen with energy on 100 and made TWO excellent dishes: Pasta Primavera and Red Velvet Cupcakes. You are doing AMAZING sweetie.

Pandora(@gloomiegalaxie-sims), exploring the Magnolia Promenade, celebrated her first snow in the SimWorld by skating around the local ice rink with Simeon Silversweater and Ukupanipo Hekekia, funnily enough (cause I know these mermaids aren't feeling the winter weather).

Donna(@elysiantrait) went to the Art Center bar and had a grand time drinking with Kleo(@lotusplum) and Riaan(@wibblywobblytumblywumbly). She wasn't even interested in the art! Maybe she was just looking to mingle with new sims? Well, they all got that wish granted!

You know who was actually there for the art? Pax(@theosconfessions) and Khalil(@fl0pera). Two buds with fine taste. Look at their lil' smiles!

Maike(@fl0pera) was sparring outside in the brick cold because a true slayer never quits training. She's gotten quicker since the last time I saw her.

Rhea(@fl0pera) was changing into her uniform (which isn't cute enough for her) and heading out to work like the hardworking badass she is.

Martin(@starjira) was investigating a possible missing persons case around Willow Creek and ended up sitting in the park to observe who comes and goes in the area.

The only sim around at the time was Hiro(@sofft-neko-sims), who was playing chess with himself.

That night, Luco's(@tr-angyo) house was filled with cheer as he spoiled his guests Felix(@madfeary), Rain(@riverofjazzsims), and Stephanie(@kazuaru) to their hearts' desire.

And look, even Mothman(@occultradio) was there!

Rivers(@gloomiegalaxie-sims) and Lou Howell were watching TV at his place with no problems at first...

Until they remembered it was a Full Moon.

Aaaand last but certainly not least, my simself Noe Bodi was sipping on that late night Bubble at ThirfTea and looking fly while doing it. AS. USUAL.

She also ran into Noemy there, so that was nice. They finally met!

I'm so grateful to everyone who has given a sim to use in this series. I've been having so much fun making myself PLAY the game instead of just taking pictures (as much as i love to do that) because now I can enjoy the gameplay mods I've used up so much computer space to download! 🤣 There will be more coming soon, with more sims and more chaotic interactions, but for now, the representative song for this gameplay is: "People Make The World Go Round."

Does Daemon actually hate Maetilda? He was awful to her in this latest chapter and I can’t understand why he’d be awful to her but perfectly fine with rhaenyra a children. If anything wouldn’t he want to hold her close given she’s the only child he can claim any lands and titles from? I don’t know… I know the relationship is complicated I just want to understand his reasons and motivation a bit better

Thank you so much for your question!!! I am literally SO EXCITED to talk about this. This is something I have ruminated over extensively. I didn't want Daemon to be the stereotypical ~girl dad~ because he does some dark things within the Dance of Dragons that I [personally] don't think he would be considered a true grey character (as George often refers to him as) if he were a woman. I think his gender benefits him in that sense. Maybe I'm wrong, George did create the character after all, but that is the sort of lens I am approaching this all from. That being said, I don’t know if I would go as far as hate, but I do think their relationship is really complicated for a multitude of reasons!

The first reason being her mother. Daemon hated Rhea; therefore, Maetilda is guilty by association. He’s jealous that she (who he sees as a dumb female extension of himself) has claim to something he probably never will. He’s a man that doesn’t really know how to deal with his jealousy/emotions toward women (ie: when he chokes Rhaenyra, when he kills Rhea, when he tries to use Mysaria and her "unborn child" as his own pawn, etc), and thinks violence and manipulation is the way to control people. Not only is Daemon reminded of what he did to Maetilda’s mother every time he looks at her, he is reminded of what his brother gave his daughter but not him (recognition).

Daemon loves the twins differently from Maetilda mainly because a) he actually liked their mother, b) he never had to raise them as teenagers, c) they don't have more claims to land/titles than he does, and d) the Velaryon family has better standing (more money & power) to call him out if he does something wrong. There’s also something to be said about how toxic/narcissistic parents will treat their kids differently as a way of sewing seeds of division. He doesn't want the girls behaving like the Greens, but he also doesn't want them ganging up on him.

He treats Maetilda differently because he knows he can get away with it, and she soon becomes the person he takes anger out on. In toxic family systems, the children play different roles in the hierarchy. I see the twins as golden children. Baela fills a more mascot-y role while Rhaena fills a more responsible role. They are not as deeply set in their roles as Rhaenys had a hand in raising them in a more healthier setting. Jace is the hero child, and Luke is a mascot through-and-through. Maetilda is the scapegoat and the lost child. The younger children are a bit too young to know what their roles would be, but I suspect Joffrey to be a little enabler in training. Maetilda is confused by this system herself, as any child naturally is. Daemon is her father after all, and she wants to believe that he has her best interests at heart. But Daemon has a past that she does not fully know about or understand.

Hopefully this answered your question, without giving the whole farm away with the cow. Daemon and Maetilda's relationship is just as central to the story as Maetilda's relationship with Aemond is building to be. Again, thank you so much for reaching out. I loved answering this question.
