Its Christmas!! My zine bundle from @rogue-gambit-fan-zine came in today!! Everything looks amazing and has such a nice feel and look to it. Was such a joy to see my stickers, postcards and artwork in physical form! Thankful to have been involved, it was a highlight of 2023/2024! Hope everyone who got their hands on a physical (or digital which is coming out soon) loves it too!

As we're wrapping up the first Rogue & Gambit fanzine, Home & Harbor, it's finally the time to share our works!

My short prose fic contribution was called "Beach Blanket BA-KOOM!" You can check it out on Ao3 (registered users).

@emyryld created some amazing illustrations to accompany the story. I love them so much! I hope you check them out. ❤

This week’s #zine #review is of “Void Presents… The Uncanny X-Men” by @void_makes!

This zine is a playlist for the mutant superheroes! The songs are given with black-and-white comic images in the background. It was fun to see songs that vibe with the X-Men as a team.

By the way: that pair of legs on the cover is Rusty, aka Firefist. The girl in the belts is Sally, aka Skids. They’re from the X-Factor series. I love that generation of mutants, so it was nice to see them here!

Here's the drawing I did for the Rogue and Gambit Zine! (@rogue-gambit-fan-zine) I'm so proud to have been apart of the project and I had an absolute blast working with such a fun group of people. :] Honestly such a highlight of 2023/2024! Special thanks to @awarriorqueen who wrote a super sweet short story that takes place after the "Nightcrawler" episode. We had the best of times working in tandem on the story and art. Please go check out her page, she has so many amazing stories! 🥰 Also, if you are interested in picking up some of the merch or digital zine head over to @rogue-gambit-fan-zine ASAP and get your order in! My writing piece for the zine was inspired by the infamous basketball game in X-Men #4 (1991), but finds our couple in more recent times from the comics.

I always adore when the X-Men are hanging out together as a family. And I've loved Rogue and Gambit since X-Men the Animated series, so I am beyond excited for X-Men'97! Let's go Romy fans! This is our year!

Here's a little snippet from my story:

I really hope you all will check it out and support the zine. I had the distinct honor of working with @emyryld who drew some mindblowingly amazing sketches for this story! They're just SO good. I can't wait for everyone to see them!

Calling all heroes!!! APPLICATIONS HAVE BEGUN!!

Applications are now officially OPEN from now until July 7th, so if you’re a writer or artist please fill out one of the apps below to participate in our truly electric zine!!!

A quick reminder of some base points here:

We’re looking for a maximum of 15 writers and 35 artists to fill out our zine!

This is a Marvel zine, you can portray ANY Marvel charector from any Marvel franchise! That includes comics, the MCU, animated shows, anything at all! :)

This is a SFW zine; we’re rated PG-13. Please check out our guidelines for what exactly that means!

As a reminder, we DO accept a variety of different ships! But please make sure that your ship is of proper age! (IE: if you're going to do Spideypool, needless to say, Tom Holland's Spiderman is NOT allowed)

Once contributors have been selected:

Artists will be asked to submit one completed illustration—full color optional. Art must be CYMK. Comics ARE allowed, but if you plan on doing a comic, please keep in mind it’s first-come-first-serve. To keep our page count down, we’ll be accepting only a small number of comics.

Writers will be asked to submit one story with a maximum of 3,500 words (plus a 100-word leeway if needed).

This will hopefully be a split-profit zine, meaning that 50% of post-cost profits will go to charity, and the other 50% will be divided equally among staff and contributors, provided we have enough to do so!

Because the zine is split-profit, we ask that contributors be 18+ to apply, so as not to conflict with Paypal’s guidelines.

Writers will need to submit three fics, one must be Marvel, with a minimum word count of 500 and a maximum word count of 3,000 (with a small leeway of about a hundred words).

Artists will need to submit three pieces of fanart, one must be full color, and one must be Marvel

Cosplayers will need to submit three photos of their cosplay, one must be Marvel

We eagerly welcome zine pros, first-time ziners, and anything in-between, so please don’t hesitate to apply!
