Hiii! As promised, I'm gonna slowly post all the snippets for the FMA AU that I'm working on with @caelanglang here on Tumblr! :) So here is your first (second) glimpse of them... cw extreme gayness and deep soulmatism. Also, you'll probably lose your mind (I never found mine again since I started this with Cae).

It's not done yet, but we will eventually hopefully finish it and then share the entire finished project with you, so please look forward to it! :3 Although we are taking it slow, it's the most fun I've ever had with a fic project and a collab and I can't wait to share all of it with you!!

I don’t keep my WIP in a single folder so I had to go scrounging through all my fanfics. There are still plenty I have ideas for that I haven’t written anything more than a basic outline for so I’m not counting those and then there are fics I started eons ago that I have no intention of touching again, so I won’t include those either. Which leaves 4 hopeful contenders:

5+1 cigarettes wip?

the concept is kinda skk sharing a cigarette/smoking together as an outer structure, but really its just them (not) talking about their feelings and that throughout the years! i really like the wip i should get back to it tbh, but here's a snippet!

“C’mon, don’t be such a slug, amuse me! Imagine what life outside of all this”—Dazai spread his arms—“would look like!” And it wasn’t like he suddenly had Chuuya hooked, mismatching eyes were still staring at him skeptically, but Chuuya took a drag out of his cigarette before sighing the sigh that always meant that he would play along with Dazai’s weird antics. “I don’t know, maybe I’d help out in an animal shelter,” he eventually concluded after giving it a moment of thought. “Pff, of course the slug would go rescue his fellow dogs,” Dazai couldn’t resist to taunt and mock him, snickering to himself with a little grin. “Fuck you, bandaged asshole,” Chuuya sneered and he shoved the other with his shoulder, but his lips were twitching upwards and there was an amused spark lighting up his eyes. “And what do you wanna be, hah!?” “I think I could be a great writer.” The answer came so easily and fast as if there was no other way for him and as if he had been prepared for this his whole life. Chuuya didn’t believe it for a second, knowing how easily the bastard could come up with bullshit on the spot, but that also meant… “Yeah, with all the lies and made up stories you tell every time you open your fucking mouth I can see that, too.”

Twins AU? Do tell!

Ohh!! I am still a bit torn about this AU, but I think I will write it as a non abilities/modern AU (it could be canonverse, but I think I don't wanna deal with the complex implications of it). Rimlaine will be Chuuya and his twin brother's (name to be chosen still though I had some loose thoughts on how to choose it) parents, it has skk childhood friends, and the inspiration for all this/the twin brother is from the clone in the lab in canon (Stormbringer broke me and I'm making it everyone's problem).

It's a fun AU though! The twin brother is rougher around the edges than Chuuya, but they're both bffs with Dazai who has no problems telling them apart. The plot is, uh, lacking, it's my newest WIP haha I just wanted to write Chuuya with a twin brother and Rimlaine parents xD

ALKSDJAL i had a feeling someone would ask about this one ngl

I haven't written anything for it yet, but it's directly inspired by ena's tweet and I got permission to write it one day! Essentially, the idea is that Chuuya makes fun of Dazai's rizz and mocks him by being like "idk what your exes even ever saw in you" so Dazai challenges him to go with him on one date. Which become two dates. Which become three dates. Which somehow end up in 50 dates. (They end up married.)

My idea for the structure of the fic is to jump from date 1 to date 2 to date 10, to a random number before 50, to 50, then to the wedding day!

Ooooo! What are you exploring in the Chuuya character study?

I started the WIP pretty much once the bsd hyperfixation settled in hard, it's my oldest bsd wip lmao. I guess I kinda just weave in all my analysis thoughts and canon fitting hcs? It has the structure of the paragraphs starting with "Chuuya is [age]" and then just kinda elaborating what is happening and what it means/how he feels/thinks. So I think when I'm done it's just kinda a collection of "this is what I think about Chuuya as character and how he works" plus some personal fav hcs like the heterochromia due to Corruption hc!
