I feel like I have to talk about me saying I'm world's biggest Xisuma fan, because I've seen so much hate lately for his second channel

I talked to him for a few months because he did all the hermit correspondences for the HC TCG dev team when I was active. And he was very kind and encouraging! He seems very invested in community projects and does what's best for hermits and hermit fans. Xisuma was an absolute joy to work with and get to be around for a moment, and it's still one of the coolest things I've done in my life.

However that does NOT mean that the mic should not be taken away from him. I think his music channel is great and his main is great we just need to hypnotize him somehow into losing the password to xisumasays.

This is me actively saying that I love that guy, I think that he's a genuinely good person and is more than willing to put in the time and effort. I just think that time and effort should be directed away from Xisumasays. We can break the curse. We can be free. Every time I see an upload there I take a loud, deep breath like when there's a kid you're babysitting and all of a sudden they start running with this intense agency but won't tell you where they're going.

American here, and eh? I’ve got friends who have dark sense of humor. Rather blunt personality. And can come across as a real jackass. But reality is they don’t do the American niceness.

Guess this is why I don’t mind Xisuma too much. It’s meh for me and his funny moments are humorous enough for me.

tbh i think cuz a lot of hermit fandom is american that's a big part of why so many ppl miss xisuma's vibes, like. as an english person he is an easily recognisable specific type of shitty white guy. i went to school with dozens of xisumas. but if ur not british i guess the accent cancels out the blatant Never Had To Meaningfully Consider The World Might Have Problems For Others For Real vibes

I wasn’t originally going to make my own post on the Iskall situation, since I like to keep my blog page discourse and drama free for my own comfort, but I thought that I should at least say something about the ongoing fanfic I have that originally had him as a supporting character.

I’m not going to talk about the discourse itself (the statements from the victims, Iskall’s video, etc.), one of the reasons being that I don’t have anything to add that others haven’t already said. I also don’t think it’s really my place to publicly analyze anything Iskall’s said or done, so instead I’ll direct you to this post.

That being said, I do not support any of Iskall’s actions.

I’ve had Iskall as more than just an existing presence in only one of my fics, which is my series The Knight Archives. After the truth about Iskall and the reason he resigned was revealed I decided to remove him from the series and replace him with another character, since the role he played was an important one. I will not be editing the already published fics in the series, but I did add an author’s note to the one Iskall spoke in.

I was originally just going to leave it at that and continue on with Xisuma in his former role, but after Iskall’s video and the comment left by Stressmonster, I wanted to talk about it a bit more. I haven’t talked about this fic on tumblr before, which is also true for many of my ao3 fics, but in all honesty I also just wanted to get this off my chest.

I’ve made the decision to keep Stress in my fic series. Maybe this is more of an act of denial on my part, but as long as it’s still a fact that Stress wasn’t involved with Iskall’s actions, I’d like to keep writing and drawing her. I do truly hope that she’s in the denial stage of grieving, and that she will be able to accept that Iskall’s a bad person and move on from him in her own time.

I have personally never lost a friend this way before, but I feel like grieving the person you thought they were is valid. I truly want to give Stress the benefit of the doubt, and I do still wish her well.

If it comes to light that she did something truly wrong or sides completely with Iskall in the end, I most likely will be removing her from the fic.

If you disagree with me, that’s perfectly alright, I just ask that you stay respectful of my opinion and anyone else’s.

Maybe once I process all of this I’ll change my mind and remove her from the story sooner, but I think I want to wait for any other statements on the matter before I make that decision.

If Stress says nothing else, and nothing is said against her, I’d like to believe that she’s a good person, if only for my own sanity.

it's been like three days and i'm already tired of going into the misadventures smp tag to see genai discourse (and i say this AS a huge genai hater) so i'm blocking people and let me tell you. extremely funny to go into a blog crying out about how morally horrible this smp is for allowing genai and then see it's like. a xisuma fan doing the talking. girl we already have big enough problems but the call is coming from inside the house. and the house is built by a cowardly centrist.

Do you want to know a secret? I have not been fact checking to make sure that each blog that you all send me is in fact a trafficblr blogger.

I’m fine with people submitting hermitblr or empiresblr bloggers, too, since those are fairly closely related to trafficblr. There is currently a small collection of asks sent by one anon who all mention the recipients’ Xisuma designs��I’m not picky enough to delete hermitblr or empiresblr asks. Any current or former trafficblr or trafficblr-adjacent blogger is perfectly fine with me.

If you submit bloggers from any other mcyt sphere—DSMP, QSMP, singleplayer servers, speedrunners, Lifesteal, whatever else—I am not likely to notice unless you specifically mention it in the ask or mistype their URL and I have to look for them. If I do notice, I am not likely to call you on it, since sending other MCYT bloggers is a harmless “mistake” in the grand scheme of things. (I will, however, draw the line if you all start sending me bloggers from entirely different non-MCYT fandoms and I notice this. See if your other fandoms have these blogs and submit to them! Or send them an ask directly!)

If I am honest, the main reason I did not open this blog up to MCYT in general (besides the fact that I am only one person running this) is specifically because I do not really look closely at the accounts of people I have not heard of (except in the case of typos in URLs to try and find the right person). I used to be into DSMP before I was into the Traffic Life Series, and I am fairly aware of the state of many of the CCs right now being outed for abuse. I was somewhat worried about accidentally posting positivity for extant wilbur soot bloggers or something, which I did not want to do. Additionally, the amount of arguing and being mean to each other in DSMP fandom when I joined had me a little worried I would post a nice message about one blogger and receive a follow-up ask by someone who did not think that person should be posted because they disagreed with their opinions. I did not fancy the idea of accidentally becoming a discourse blogger.

These concerns were probably a little silly, but they did leave me to keeping my scope narrower. That said, if anyone would like to make their own blogs which are for other parts of mcyt fandom which are not trafficblr or trafficblr adjacent, such as QSMP or DSMP, I would be happy to post the URL here.

Sorry to derail your positivity post, Anon, but I wanted to make my, we shall call it, “slightly broader than advertised” stance clear!

like the only thing that comes to mind about xisuma for me is from like 2018 when he was on stream arguing against legal name changes being made easier because criminals could exploit it to hide their identities and run from the law or something along those lines. but that alone says a lot because that really is just some random specific-ass scenario that he’s made up to argue about something that really isn’t that big of a deal. and many people do that kind of shit and their political opinions don’t tend to be the best

whenever i bring this up i always feel the need to clarify i dont want any of my xisuma posts to be treated as callouts or whatever because this was six years ago and people can change, i just wish more people were aware of his track record before touting him as some super-progressive ally who does no wrong, or assuming him using any pronouns means he's trans (it doesn't), or assuming evil x is 100% canonically non-binary because he used they/them for him once in passing; these things could all be true, but it's naive to assume they MUST be without context of his previous statements on trans people.
