I would like to write a book on the intersection between fandom and literature, so topics like: are fanfiction a literary genre? Or are there ‘canonized’ literary works that can be considered ‘fanfiction’? How do things like commercial enterprises, or increased creator-audience interaction, change the literary creative process? Should we consider writer and actor interviews as part of the text?

Gotta admit Jealous!Whoever is not my jam, but I tried my best, darling!

Jealousy was not something that came naturally to Magnus. It was probably because he had lived for so long, the emotion seemed pointless. There was no use in being possessive, be it over something or someone. Being jealous never lead to anything good.

It didn’t mean Magnus didn’t feel jealousy from time to time.

Especially when it regarded Alexander and his stupid, annoying, adorable obliviousness.

Magnus never felt jealous of Alec’s meaningful bonds. He admired the closeness between Alec and his sister. Isabelle was wonderful in her own right, so what was there not to like? Magnus surprisingly didn’t care that Alec had stayed close to Lydia either. Weird as it was, he respected the Shadowhunter deeply and wished only the best for her. Certainly, being best friends with his boyfriend was a top priority everyone should have, so Magnus was happy for her.

He also wasn’t bothered by Jace. Not that Magnus was particularly fond of that whole parabatai mess and he would not pass on an opportunity to drag that little blond ass, but he understood very well that Jace and him meant different and equally important things to Alec. Nothing to be worried or hurt about that.

But what Magnus could not abide was how oblivious Alec was regarding people he was not close to.

For example, that audacious Seelie who was currently flirting with Alec in Magnus’ own Pandemonium. What the hell?

Worse part was that Alec actually seemed to believe the guy only wanted to discuss different kinds of swords with him. Right. There was only one sword that guy was interested and that sword belonged to Magnus, thank you very much.

“Darling,” Magnus purred as he joined his stupid, amazing boyfriend and his new Seelie friend. “Here, your beer,” he said, shoving a huge cup into Alec’s hands as he stared at the intruder without bothering to hide his cat eyes. “I don’t think we’ve been formally introduced.”

The Seelie was brazen enough to smile at him. “No, I believe we haven’t. My name is Cirrus. I’ve spent too much time in the Court, so I’m afraid I’m not familiar with this century’s figures.”

“Clearly. I’m Magnus Bane, High Warlock of Brooklyn.” Magnus leaned a hand over Alec’s shoulder, who just stared between them with a puzzled expression as he sipped on his beer. “And Alec’s boyfriend.”

Cirrus blinked, completely taken aback. “Oh, a Warlock and a Shadowhunter? I wouldn’t have thought… How interesting.”

“Very.” Magnus smiled at him, though he was sure the smile never touched his eyes. “I also happen to be the owner of this establishment.”

“I see. In that case.” Cirrus laid his glass on the counter and made a reverence to Alec. “It was a delight knowing you, Alec Lightwood. I hope we meet again, in somewhat different circumstances. Mr. Bane,” he nodded in Magnus’ direction and walked away.

Alec frowned. “What the fuck just happened?”

Magnus watched as the Seelie got lost in the dancing crowd. “Nothing, my darling. I’m just making sure nobody tries to steal what is mine is all.”

“What?” Alec was immediately thrown into soldier mode. “He tried to steal from you?”

But Magnus just smiled and kissed him on the lips without any rush. “He did. But I’ve taken care of it. Now,” Magnus smirked and whispered into Alec’s ear, delighting himself in feeling the shiver run down his boyfriend’s body. “Do you want to get out of here or what?”

it's been a great journey in football this year despite everything else going to shit, living through two trebles is more than a fan could dream of. to my Bayern mutuals, let's hope we keep up the pace. to my mutuals with other teams... i hope football keeps bringing you joy, though not any joy that would interfere with bayern's💀

and to apos readers, it's been a slow as fuck year for updates but I love you all for continuing to provide the love and making it feel worth it to continue writing. you all write the most amazing comments, but I want to throw out a particular thank you to @onefabulousplatypus and @geiputti for starting to comment and boost my serotonin levels this year. hopefully 2021 will bring more content for you guys!
