Maybe it was because he had practically grown up with the sight of the ocean right by his bedroom window. Maybe it was because he had grown immune to the way the waves slid across sand or sloshed across rocks. Or, maybe it was simply because DiZ had not provided a digital image of an ocean for the blond to gaze off into the distance to from where he lived in his little makeshift town. He had remembered hearing one of the boy's conversations with his friends while in the confines of the Old Mansion's damp basement. Something about taking a trip to the beach; maybe the guy had had the innate desire to go -- and now, he had the freedom to look off into the lazy afternoon horizon whenever he wanted. Well, perhaps within in reason: he still had to be somewhere from nine in the morning till five in the afternoon. But even then, he could always be early to class and take a window seat so he could stare off into the endless deep.

"Two cones? Geez, Riku, are ya tryin' t'gain weight or something?" He swung his head around to look at a familiar tanned blonde, whose hands were occupied with a pair of vanilla-flavored ice cream treats. The Island's renown beach bum was wearing his cheeky grin as Riku took the two cones from the boy's hands. And it only took a slight cant of the dirty blond's head to peek around the silveret and find out who the other cone was for. "Ohh, so you're tryin' to make friends with the new kid, huh?" he asked, his eyes swerving to look back at his customer. "Cute." And while everyone knew the boy as the 'new kid at school,' he had known the ex-Nobody for what seemed like ages. Dismissing Tidus's comment altogether, Riku turned around with cones in hand and trekked across hilly dunes of sand while avoiding the occasional pack of kids that darted across the sand with damp, bare feet.

"Got you one," he said curtly, holding out the cone with the bigger scoop of vanilla on it. Perhaps this was his way of apologizing for what he may (or may not) have done to hurt the kid in the past -- and it obviously was a cheap way of going about it. "I...kind of notice that you liked to come here a lot after school. Since, well. I always have to see this beach on my way home. So, I figured since you survived the first week of school you might as well get...recognized for it."

 The skies of Twilight Town were coated in dark, gloomy storm clouds. A soft drizzle was coming down, the rain pittering and pattering on the concrete ever so softly. The gentle sound of shoes tapping on the ground could be heard, as well as a soft sigh.  Melissa Richardson, a fourteen-year-old blonde with sapphire blue eyes, walked down the concrete roads of Twilight Town, a white umbrella in hand. When she got bored, she spun the handle around in her hands, which caused the entire umbrella to spin. She found that quite humorous.  Suddenly, a crack of lightning struck in the sky and scared Melissa half to death. The weather forecast only called for light showers, nothing of lightning. The blonde enjoyed slow walks in light drizzles, but definitely not through thunder and lightning, one of her biggest fears. The blonde then began running back home, her feet hitting the ground every few seconds with soft thumps.  Being slightly blinded by the near downpour of rain, Melissa ran straight into a hooded figure. Since the girl had been running so quickly, the collision caused both teens to fall back in surprise. Melissa hit the ground with a soft grunt and looked up, “Oh, I-” Before she could apologize, she realized whoever she had bumped into wore the same cloak as two other people she had met. Lately, the blonde had been bumping into hooded-figures constantly. First, a man with red hair that matched his “fiery” personality. Second, a quiet girl with dark black hair and sapphire blue eyes. Now, who was this stranger behind the hood?
