“Is it...?” Psyche tilted his head, looking at the other with a questioning look. He didn’t realize it was so early since he never went to sleep he still assumed it was late evening or night. Time sure passes by so much faster when you got something to do. But he wondered if he was really so annoying or at least the sounds of the games he was playing. And there he even had the sound quieter than usual. 

Though, the early hours couldn’t stop him, neither could her request. And so Psyche showed her a pout. No, he didn’t like that at all! He didn’t want to stop playing his games! “Don’t wanna. It’s not early if you didn’t go to bed.”

Logically, he knows that. There isn’t anything wrong with wanting help, asked for or otherwise. But for so long, so persistently he had told himself the opposite...it was hard to deprogram. Even now, he second guessed that assertion. Was it not wrong? But everyone could stand to lose so much because of you...if they involve themselves with you...

He shudders softly, raises his knees to hug them. His eyes don’t meet the other’s gaze, not yet. He can’t do it.

TO     gaze upon such a monstrous sight that many would fear without a blink ... was oddly pleasant. the deity smiles at her gently as he positions himself on his knees and his back straight vertically. within his hand he takes the cup of tea and reaches it forward a little - a display of politeness. “ do i look that bad? ” he asks jokingly. no malice was felt within the room at all.

“ rude to say to a guest, but alas ... i did come here like this. ” he laughs; open and wide and deep. it doesn’t matter to him; he’s aware the truth could be ugly in some eyes. “ let us enjoy our company for a while. the sun won’t set for a while and loneliness is a terrible thing. ”

OK well you know Adachi is just like not about having any friends LOL but he likes Hikari’s company because she insulted Dojima and I’m CRYING. So I could see him considering Hikari someone he tolerates ( which is a weird way of saying Adachi considers her a friend) but you know bouncing off your ask if he ever found out Hikari had a crush on him I’m sure that he would try to use that to his advantage lol. It might be interesting to write like an accomplice thing for them too!

But now he’s curious. One does not necessarily throw around the word “sin” for small, inconsequential things, no matter how colorful and extravagant their vocabulary --- not unless they’re being dramatic, of course, and she doesn’t strike him as the dramatic sort. Sin, after all, is saved for the sinners, and those classified as such are usually placed in another category from oneself, othered. Nobody ever wants to call themselves a sinner, even if they are --- which everyone is, by the logic of those who like to peddle the idea of sin around.
