Happy 20th anniversary to Halo 2

Back in the early 00's I was a massive Halo fan, the anticipation for this sequel was insane and I can't remember being more hyped for any game as much as I was for this.

To think that 20 years have passed since hosting LAN parties, looking for the Scarab gun Easter egg and cruising around the Zanzibar map.

It's scary how quickly time passes.

I miss being as passionate about my hobbies as I was back then.

It's incredible how Steam barely even has to do anything to maintain their monopoly, they just wait 6 months and their competitors randomly have a greed explosion and hurl themselves off a cliff because they saw a shiny penny at the bottom.

Paralleled by Nintendo in the console sphere to a lesser degree.

It seems that all you have to do to actually get to the top is to stop being super cutthroat and competitive because you're obsessed with getting to the top.

It's almost kind of Zen or Tao.
