Here is the sketch for the first page of my sg xayah and rakan mini comic im doing! I streamed it on Tuesday so thanks for coming if you did ♡

The main reason I’m upset about Xayah (and Rakan of course) remaining corrupted (in the skins, because there’s still more lore to be updated soon I believe) is because her whole identity is she’s the guardian of her people.

A guardian is who she is;

she fights and dedicates herself and her life to the protection of her culture, and the vastayan people. Who’ve for so long been oppressed and enslaved. It’s part of the reason I so desperately wanted a Star Guardian skin for her, although the pastel cutesy concept doesn’t define her very well, I think the actual purpose the guardians serve is what is so perfect for her.

She’s not a villain. She’s a hero.

Her goal is to save, to protect. To lead vastayans to a brighter future. To the ones hoping to extract magic from all life for their own gain, and to the ones who enslave and slaughter the ones she’s sworn to protect, she’s a war criminal.

But to her people, she is their voice, their savior, and

their guardian.
