PAIRING: Jane x Male Reader (Romantic) (Suggestive)

SUMMARY: (Y/N) meets Jane Doe, and a simple friendship becomes something more.

You’re an officer working at New Eridu Public Security, having been a member for some years now. The top of your class in the training academy, and past roommates with Seth, it’s safe to say you had connections in the industry.

Those connections led to you being entrusted as a “thug” for an undercover operation. Naturally, you were entrusted to work with your new temporary boss, Jane Doe. And boy, she wasn’t anything you were expecting.

For starters, she was a flirt; “Hey there handsome, nice to meet you. Think you can carry my luggage to the car? Your big strong arms can handle it~”. It was never ending with this woman. And the worst part is that after a while it started to work; being complimented just felt good, especially when it came from her.

You’re pretty good at undercover work, so you were effortlessly able to keep up with Jane’s choices and adapt accordingly. It built a nice camaraderie between you two. Fortunately, this didn’t stop after the mission was done.

Letting out a grunt, (Y/N) stretched in his chair, ready for his shift to finally end. Someone knocked on his desk beside him, though he already knew who it was. Jane Doe, who was now leaning over his chair to face him upside down. Her rat tail swaying back and forth.

“I have another mission next week. I was hoping you’d be my underling again.” She said. (Y/N) smirked, seeing an opportunity to get back at Jane for all that teasing last time.

“As much as I enjoy being under you, I don’t like mixing work and pleasure, Jane. You should pick someone who’s more qualified rather than someone you just miss.” He teased. Jane hummed before sitting on his lap and taking a bite out of the apple he was saving for later.

“I can’t help it. A guy with such charisma like you is all the pleasure I need. Work with me, and make me happy~” Jane countered his attempt without even trying. A blush appeared on both of their faces; one anxious, and the other excited.

“I’m starting to think you’re talking about more than work, Jane.” (Y/N) said cautiously. Jane smiled, getting up while her tail wrapped around his waist.

“Nonsense. I simply mix work and pleasure.” She walked off, giggling. (Y/N) chased after her, only to be met with a crumbled piece of paper smacking him on the face.

Jason Dean really was having a shity day. For starters, you had been late waking up, throwing off his whole schedule and making you both late to school. And now Veronica was ignoring him. Again. Some bullshit he couldn’t even remember had made her mad, so now he had to think of a way to apologize without really apologizing.

He was staring off into space during 4th period when the school intercom called him to the office. While Jason was always happy to miss his language arts class, he worried slightly about what they wanted. As far as he knew, he hadn’t done anything recently that would warnt being called to the office.

“Jason Dean?” The main secretary questioned when he walked in. Jason had to restrain himself from rolling his eyes and nodded. “Phone call for you.” She held out the phone for him to take.

“Hello?”

“Is This Jason Dean?” A shrill voice asked.

“Yes, who is this?”

“I’m Mss. Daniels, I’m the nurse at Sherwood elementary. I have y/n here in the office, she threw up in class. I wasn’t able to get a hold of your father-“

“Does she needs picked up?” Jd was leaning against the wall in the office, glancing at the few people coming in and out of the office.

“She does. We were hoping you could get a hold of-“

“I’ll be there soon.” And he hung up the phone before passing it to the secretary. He quickly went to his locker before leaving the building to get to your school. Mentally, he wondered if you were actually sick, it wouldn’t be the first time you faked to get out of class. If you had he may tell you off for a bit, but ultimately he didn’t care much. School was a waist of time at your age anyways now that you could do math, read, and write.

All thoughts of you faking, however, were quickly gone when he got to the school and saw you. You were curled up on one of the chairs in the office, shivering slightly. You looked pale, and had a good layer of sweat covering you. He immediately felt like shit for yelling at you this morning. You must of felt like shit, and him yelling couldn’t have helped.

“I’m head to pick y/n up.”

“Are you her father?”

“Yep.” Jd easily lied to the women, knowing it would be easier if she thought that. He just prayed she thought he’d had you when he was really young. He had to sign a few papers before getting the ok to take you, in which he took your backpack and led you outside. Jd froze however when he realized he only had his bike.

“Do- do you think you can handle riding?” You were already leaning your body on his, eyes half closed, but you nodded.

“Ya…”

Your brother sighed loudly, he probably shouldn’t let you ride with him but your house was to far away to walk and he sure as hell didn’t want to leave his bike here. Maybe, if he’d thought ahead he could have asked Veronica…

“Can we Go?” You whined slightly, pulling Jd back to the present.

“Ya, Just keep a tight hold, ok?” When you nodded he climbed on, helping you on as well before taking off. Luckily, the ride seemed to go quickly and before you knew it he was pulling up to the large house you called home.

“Ok, why don’t-“ Jd was cut off when you practically jumped off of the bike and threw up in the flower bed. He cringed slightly at the idea of what the flowers would look- and smell, like after words, but didn’t say anything about it. Instead, he rubbed up and down your back, trying to comfort you until you were done.

“Finished?” He asked, earning him a nod. “Ok, let’s get you inside then. Go change and then come back down to the living room.”

“Ok.” And you disappeared upstairs while jd went on a hunt for everything he’d need. Some cough syrup, which would hopefully help since it was the only medication they had in the house, some extra blankets, a cool compression, and he even started some tea to bring out to you.

This wasn’t the first time Jd had to take care of you while you were sick. Hell, he’d practically been raising you since your mom died. He wasn’t even surprised that your dad hadn’t answered when the school called, he probably wouldn’t even notice you were sick. Asshole.

“Ok, I know it’s going to taste like shit but you’ve got it take it-“ Jd stoped when he didn’t see you laying on the couch like he’d expected. It had been a good 20 minutes, you should already be down here, maybe playing a tape you liked or listening to the radio.

“Y/n?” He called out, carrying the stuff up the stairs and checking your room. Nothing. Bathroom? Nope. Guest room? No. Finally he checked his own bedroom, which is where he found you.

You were curled up in his bed, eyes shut as you slept. His blanket was pulled tightly to your body, and when he got closer he recognized one of his shirts on you. He sighed slightly before shaking you gently. He didn’t want to wake you up, but he needed to see if this medicine would help or if he’s have to go to the story later.

“Come on, wake up.” He tried to be gentle, watching your eyes flutter open.

“What…?”

“Sorry kid, but you need to take this.” He held up the small cup of cough syrup. You reached for it, sleep making your brain foggy as you swallowed it. It wasn’t until after that you reacted to the taste.

“Gross.” You mumbled, handing the cup to him and hearing him chuckle.

“I know. But you can go back to sleep now-“ you grabbed his arm when he tried to stand up.

“Stay, please,” you whined.

“You’re going to make me lay in bed with you?” Jd tried to joke, but your eyes quickly filled with tears. “Hey! No, I was just joking. If you want me to lay with you I will.”

He quickly pulled back the covers to slid into bed with you. “See?” You seemed to calm down, cuddling into your brothers body with your arms wrapped around him as you drifted back to sleep.

                                 Despite that death happened on the fucking daily, more so in the shadows where people turned a blind eye, you’d have to be fucking stupid to not think Ariel’s death was connected to everything else that been hitting the shitter lately; everything that involved Cassian fucking Corvere. JD couldn’t help but let out a low sigh as head hung backwards, weary eyes looking to the clear night sky that while peaceful, felt as though it carried on its changing of night and day, a bloody war that none of them were prepared for. “So much for working security.” the shifter began defeatedly, moving his head forward as shoulders slumped slightly under the weight of, well, all of it.

                          The after party was in full fucking swing by the time those from the event at Lilac finally started to show up, Jensen now adorning a top hat which he had won in a game of poker when JD walked by the very loud table in which he was sat at, immediately getting his attention. “Oi, oi, been fuckin’ waiting on you t’hurry up and get here.” Was said loudly enough for JD to hear, or for anyone remotely near him considering how bloody arrogantly loud he truly was, Jensen eagerly picking up an unopened bottle of Whiskey he clearly intended to drink with his friend and showing it to him while ignoring everyone else around him. “Felt like one of your little girlfriend’s asking everyone when you’re gonna show up.”

{Xamassed Liked for a starter:} 

      Half a mile north of Stoneshall Garden, kitty-corner off of Wilburn St. sat the Tremont Tavern. Now, Tremont wasn’t by any means the worst tavern in town, but it also weren’t the best one neither. It seemed to of danced between the lines of good and bad--being a place that most locals knew of and quite possibly went to, although it probably was never one to be brought home about. The place itself had a rather rustic feel to it. Plain and old fashioned; and by old fashion I mean, clearly hasn’t been updated since it’s been in business for. The place had relics of its time hung up, things that looked like they’d been stuck up there since 1988! Orange and yellowish tinges tainted the used to be white colored tabletops simply due to age. How it was still around? Well... the price really. It wasn’t going to rob you dry, lets put it that way, unless you had a heavy drinking hand, course.

      The time was a’ quarter past four, typically, a time of which not too many folk were making way into the bars. But hey, it’s five O’clock somewhere. A little under a handful of people sat occupying the joint, each one being a fair bit away from one another seeing how there was plenty of space to do so. 

     Throughout the tavern echoed a familiar sound, least, to those who’d frequented the place, that being the noise of a heavy wooden door being pushed open with a chalk scratching screech coming from the now rusted out hinges. What followed this was heavy footsteps that mocked a heel to toe slow stride movement. Jingle jangles could be heard from the belt buckles strapped onto the fellow’s waist, this being caused from the side to side weight the person had been distributing apart from each step. These steps led straight up to the counter area where they’d stopped near a girl who sported long messy brown hair. 

      Despite there being all these other free seats, the man whom these click clacks belonged to decided to sit RIGHT next to her. From where he sat to her, the girl got to see the ugly side of him...literally. You see, one side of the man’s face looked completely normal, as while the other side looked like something out of a horror film. A horrendous scar scorched the left side of his entire face, one that looked to be caused by some sort of severe injury caused by some sort of... acid, perhaps? There was pieces of flesh missing with scar tissue covering over the indented spots with odd drip like skin patterns cascaded it. The cheek and eye was the most notable part as there was little of, if not any of the man’s eyelids left and same with the skin that used to be covered over his teeth which lead to them being completely exposed. Who exactly was this feller though? Well...with a look and entrance like that, it’d been none other than JD himself.

      With such casual movements, JD reached for his inner coat pocket before pulling out a rather old disheveled looking book. It seemed just as ancient as this place for pete sakes! Scrapes on the outside of the cover, to the top corner still having left over, no longer sticky, residue left behind from a quite determined sale’s sticker. Once out, he dug into his other pocket with his free hand then whipped out a fine thin cigar. Before he could get into the zone and begin his read, the bartender gave him a quick gesture before asking ‘what kind of drink would you like?’ Without even really looking at the guy, being more focused on getting settled in, JD spoke up with a--

                    “ Ah’ll take some cactus wine.”                   JD said in a very thick drawled out accent.                   “-- or’ if yuh don’t got thet then Ah’ll just                   settle for a glass of fire water.”

These are all various asks about the likelihood of a remake, a rewritten season, or a spinoff.

With the shitstorm that vld became, would dreamworks ever take pity on us and remake some seasons of voltron that turned out like crap, or not even air, just release them as alternate versions on dvd? Im questioning the possibilities, not the probabilities, bc Im really not optimistic about that, I just wanna know if a show can do that and what would it take for the company to snap their fingers and be like "lets do it" (besides having money)

It’s not like frequent reboots don’t have precedent in other franchises; hell, comics do it on the regular. It’s also much cheaper to do a series of graphic novels or full novelizations geared towards an older audience. The problem there is that Dreamworks isn’t a comic book company or a publishing house; that part of the franchise would have to be farmed out to someone else. 

My guess --- if another remake is ever a possible option --- it’d be several years down the road. The first version would be set aside as, say, the Y-7 version for kids and family, and then you’d find a new angle for the next version. 

If DW got the impression there was a massive older crowd (say, 25-45) who would’ve eaten up a more mature, somewhat darker, version? Sure, why not try to grab that audience? I mean, look at the Castlevania series: it’s not pulling any punches on making clear it’s for adults. That would also require a different business model, since what adults like to buy for themselves is very different than what kids want. Skip the cake toppers, for starters. 

do you think given the reaction to VLD S7, is a rewrite for S8 a viable option? I feel the fandom is divided about the general reaction to S7. If JDS and M can just [focus on the fanbase segment] that liked it, why [bother trying to fix it for those] that didn't?

Given what I’ve been seeing in terms of data from the season... I think they aimed to please everyone and ended up pleasing no one. 

Pretty sure I’ve said something to this extent before: when you can’t please everyone, the answer isn’t to split the difference and piss everyone off. The answer is to pick your audience and give them the best damn story you can. The rest will sort itself out.

Let me put it this way: there are enough people who didn’t like S7 for the crummy animation, the OOC dialogue and actions, and the nonsensical storyline overloaded with a host of new characters that stole time from the actual protagonists. And there are also enough people who didn’t like S7 for queerbaiting the audience, killing off three out of four queer characters, and sidelining the one remaining queer character. There may be some overlap between those two sets, but taken together, those two sets are pretty much the dominant majority of the fan base. 

I don’t know if that makes a rewrite a viable option, but it should be making a few execs think twice about letting the EPs/staff carry on in the same direction. I mean, you want a series to end on a high note, not an ‘omg that had such potential but boy did it self-destruct in the last two seasons’ note.  

So if DW wants to do a Voltron spin-off, would they consider changing the ending to VLD to give Shiro the things he earned so this spin-off wouldn't be dead out of the water?

That would depend entirely on whether they’ve gotten the message that Shiro’s current status isn’t good enough for a significant part of the fanbase. If all they’re hearing (or all they choose to hear) is that it’s great to sideline one of their protagonists with no in-story explanation whatsoever, what’s to tell them there’s anything that needs addressing?  

Additionally, if the entirety of the issue is Shiro --- and everyone else is just fine, thanks --- I’m not sure that’d rate as enough to warrant changing so much. More likely any spin-off would start some X length of time between, and we’d get an implied intermediary backstory (or even a mild retcon), and go from there. 

Truth is, whomever gets the spin-off will (I really hope) be a better writer and not have to deal with intrusive newbie EPs. Even then, they’d be kinda limited on what they could do, given the spin-off does need to make sense placed against the first series. Then again, VLD hasn’t respected its own premise or continuity for the past few seasons, anyway. 

So I guess there’s always the option to start with an episode that retells VLD’s ending... Kinda awkward, but not unheard of, to basically retcon a previous series out of existence.  

I have no doubt DW is looking into what went wrong with this season. I know it might be a little to late to fix all of Season 8, but do you think they would have at least maybe the last few episodes changed to give a better ending to the show - or at least more respect to Shiro as a character?

Normally I’d say no. I mean, episode 1 should have characters making choices that in turn impact episode 2, and those choices prompt the events in episode 3... but that’s a logic VLD threw out the window somewhere between S3 and S4, and it’s only gotten worse since then. 

In which case, oh sure, why not? It wouldn’t make any less sense than what they’ve already got planned, if S7 is any indication. 

Could the reaction to season 7 cause any change the execs minds going into season 8? 

One problem: this is a Dreamworks production, but it’s not a DW-owned story. It’s a franchise: there are other players involved. There are the two guys who first butchered GoLion into Voltron, Toei whose story got that embutcherment, Netflix as the distributor, along with Playmates and Lion Forge and other contracted partners. There’s a lot more people at the table than just DW. 

It’s one thing for the EPs to say they messed up, and apologize. It’s quite another for Dreamworks to admit publicly their lousy (or nonexistent) oversight allowed the situation to happen. 

Legal would have apoplexy, for starters. What wins you a franchise is often showing you have the confidence (if not sheer chutzpah) that you can do this job justice like no other. And then you hit S7 and must admit you hired people who made a complete hash of it? 

If there’s anything that will cost the EPs any future roles of a similar position, it’s that they’ve put DW in a very uncomfortable position. Caught between a furious fanbase and overly-interested co-owners, someone --- or several someones --- are treading very lightly right now. They’re not going to forget the EPs are the ones who precipitated the whole mess. 

I think we are in a unique situation where the fact that the EPs were vocal about [changing] VLD ... could be a blessing for us & DW. [But we know it] was changed, & DW's part seems to be more negligence than direct fault like the EPs. So DW can drop it or fix it, and a rewrite would be worth us sticking around, while restoring DW's name.

Again, that depends on whether DW is in a position that they can do so. I assure you they’d throw the EPs under the bus at the first opportunity, because that’s how the corporate world works. So their failure to do so is either because they don’t see the EPs’ actions as untenable (as far as we know), or because doing so would expose DW corporate to greater retaliation from elsewhere. (It could also be part of the agreement that these particular EPs are in place for the duration of the series’ production, too. Sometimes that happens.) 

I still can’t get over the fact that the EPs were so blunt about having already had a script fully written when they asked to revise. From the Studio Mir leaks, we can guess at least some of the animation was already in production at least a year ago, or earlier. That’s a lot to redo. 

Here’s something that only just occurred to me, when I listed the co-partners in this franchise: the Koplar brothers. These are the geniuses who figured they didn’t need to know Japanese to make GoLion into an american production; turns out they were geniuses on some level ‘cause it was a hit, anyway. They went on to produce Voltron: Fleet of Doom (1986), Voltron: the Third Dimension (1998), and Voltron Force (2011). If there is anyone at the table who’d be likely to have nostalgia goggles, it’d be the Koplars. This has been their ongoing story in one way or another for over 30 years. 

Originally, the EPs said they weren’t tied to nostalgia; they weren’t going to redo the story as it was, but the story as they remembered. (I’d argue this actually indicates a stronger set of nostalgia goggles, but eh.) Their determination to get rid of Shiro has always felt like nostalgia goggles to me. Perhaps the Koplars were the greatest supporters of Keith as BP --- since that would respect the pattern they’ve followed, over and over, in all the iterations. 

Considering the Koplar’s somewhat litigious background over Voltron ownership, they may’ve had the ability to overrule. So... if you want to bench Shiro, you pitch your work with the execs who are most likely to agree with you. And if you can do that in the window between the previous VP of TV retiring and a brand-new external hire coming on as VP... welp, you got permission, and the new VP may’ve signed off, not realizing the impact. 

Which would put DW over a barrel, in some ways. If DW could’ve overruled their partners, the EPs never would’ve been able to make that end-run in the first place. 

How do u think DW will try to get us to watch s8? They & the EPs have shattered our trust and the show is so messy its almost unsalvageable. 

Stay to see X point's resolution? Yeah, we stayed many seasons for nothing, next. 

We have more rep? Ex. blonde girl is autistic... So we should be scared for her too??? 

There's more queer rep? Yeah, we heard that one already. 

Unless everyone responsible is fired and a new crew runs the next seasons?

I don’t know. I would hope the answer is ‘by giving us a story that makes sense, and creates closure for all the protagonists, and not just by making two of them emotional rewards for two other characters.’ 

At this point, there is only one thing that’s going to make Dreamworks change course: if the fallout from VLD impacts its other projects. If the majority of the VLD fanbase up and announced it would be boycotting She-Ra or Fast & Furious or Trollhunters on the grounds that DW screwed up so badly with VLD that it cannot be trusted... Then you’d see movement. If the PR got so bad from so many upset and angry VLD fans that major news outlets paid attention and started writing articles about the situation, that would also put a black mark beside Dreamworks’ name -- and then you’d see movement. 

With the VLD toys a failure (for whatever mismanaged reasons) and a financial model set entirely on toys, fixing VLD now would be throwing good money after bad. Unless, of course, there’s an impact beyond just this single series. 

Until Dreamworks can see the impact in some concrete sense, they have far more to lose from their partners than they have to gain from their fanbase. It’s just how it is, with corporations in late capitalism. 

You want to make an impact? You tell Dreamworks ahead of time, and then you follow through: pick a week and go silent. Nothing about VLD, here or on twitter or anywhere else. No reblogs on She-Ra updates. Ignore the podcasts. Don’t click on the articles. That stuff’ll be there when the week is over, after all. Voltron Theory: Why Shiro x Romelle might be endgame for Voltron Legendary Defender

Before I start I should note that when I say endgame I do not mean wedding bells and kids. What I mean is they will probably be at the start of some sort of relationship. Whether that is holding hands or an actual kiss is up in the air, but regardless, I do believe that these two will end up as a couple, or at least proto couple and here’s why.

One of the things I’ve seen mentioned is the idea that the staff intend to have slow burning relationships. Meaning that it would develop over time, ala Lance and Allura. Yet we do have time for something to develop given that Shiro probably will not be back in the Black Lion. His role is now becoming more like Sven’s from the original. There to help the team but not the leader of the group. That is falling on Keith as the new Black Paladin.

So how does one do a slow burn relationship with a character that was just introduced? Well given the way that LM and JDS are talking in interviews, it seems like there will be a continuation of the story, since they have a lot more to tell. So the use of the last seasons (season if you count it as a full 26 episodes) as a spring board for such a romance would be useful.

You already also have a great set up with these two in regard to several elements of common ground that could build up a friendship and a possible romance. Both Shiro and Romelle have suffered at the hand of the Galra through Haggar and her son. Both have seen what blind loyalty can do and how others have suffered for it. And both are the older sibling figure in their own relationships.

With Shiro you have a large case of PTSD brought on by not only Haggar’s actions, but also the actions of her husband. Then there’s the fact that he died and was in the lion for a long while, dealing with his own trauma from that is going to be hard. We know also that his hair is now white, which may mean that he has ties now to the Altean magic which will not be easy. Given the situation with Sendak still out there, I have a feeling that Shiro’s going to have to confront this fear, and that won’t be an easy task for him, as Sendek basically said they were the same.

With Romelle you have someone who grew up in a prison, another similarity to Shiro via the gladiator events he was in. It was a nice prison, but still a gilded cage is still a cage. Naturally she would be worried and nervous about the outside world and what could happen to her out there. On top of that she suffered from the fact that she knew the truth but no one would believe her. You also have to consider she lost her whole family and her brother died in her arms. This was not something that she could easily get over and would need someone to help her, just as Shiro needs someone to help him.

The reason, I personally think, that they’re going to go this route with them is because it makes the most sense for both characters. Shiro is the big brother type and Romelle is about his age, it seems, given her physical look  and her height compared to Bandor when he was leaving. Both understand the role of being strong and mentoring their younger sibling (Keith for Shiro, Bandor for Romelle) and I think that if anyone can understand the feelings Shiro’s going to go through as he deals with Keith now spending more time bonding with his mother, it would be Romelle. There will be a sense of loss there because, while Shiro will be happy for Keith, prior to him finding Krolia, he was the only adult figure in his life that seemed to understand Keith and his actions. He looked out for him and Romelle will understand this.

On the flip side I think Shiro would be the only one to understand the idea of failing to save someone that they care about. When his friend and ally died Shrio had to deal with that, and none of the others could get that loss. But he can understand that feeling for Romelle, and probably get it just as well as Keith could or better. Keith was a child when his father died, so naturally there was nothing he could do about the death. Romelle was an adult and could have stopped the situation with Bandor, but she didn’t and couldn’t at the time. Shiro had the same situation with his friend and possibly felt the same way about Matt and Dr. Holt. He was there and awake in the moment when Zarkon first brought them in, he had some idea of where they were going, and he could do nothing to stop the Doctor from being taken where he was, but he was able to save Matt. This I think he’d show her in regard to doing something to help her people back on the colony. She may not have been able to save her family but she can save the other Alteans.

There’s also the fact that, both Romelle and Shiro have several things that Already bond them and could give them more of a bond. First there’s Keith. They both share being saved by him. For Shiro it was with Lance, for Romelle it was with Krolia. The fact that both can have a conversation about Keith for a starter is a good thing. Another thing is their shared understanding of how dangerous the Galra can really be. Shiro was experimented on, Romelle’s family was lost to it. Then there’s the aspect we see of bother of them as being both determined even in the face of fear and having their own PTSD. Romelle’s is a hell of a lot smaller but that doesn’t negate the fact of what she felt, and the fact that she had to carry that feeling on her own for a unknown period of time. Shiro’s is far more in your face, but he had to carry that too for a long while when he was the leader of the team to keep everyone from getting mad at one another.

Another aspect is that both felt they wouldn’t be able to tell the truth and be believed. Shiro when he came back to earth was going to be tested and possibly hurt by the garrison to see what was going on with that arm. They didn’t want to listen to him about the Galra. In the colony Romelle knew that she wasn’t going to be believed about Lotor and couldn’t explain to anyone until Keith and Krolia arrived.

The fact that they have that much to talk about and share in regard to their own emotional states with one another I would think would give a hint about them working together to find a way to become more peaceful regarding their status as they are right now. This is not to mention their connection to Allura. The white hair on Shiro, I don’t doubt, is a hint that he’s going to have some level of magic in him from the Alteans, and Allura would have to teach him in some way. Romelle may or may not know magic, but clearly she’s going to want to learn what she can from Allura so the two also have Allura as a way to bond as she teaches them things about what she knows about Altea and it’s magic.

You can throw Krolia now in there as a parental figure and helper. And possibly the others who would want to know things about her.

Romantically, it also makes sense seeing as both are in a very vunrable place at the moment. The others have people to connect to. Allura with Coran, Keith and Krolia, Pidge and Matt, Lance and probably his family back on earth, Hunk and his family there too, etc. Each character now has someone, and, where as before, Shiro and Keith had only one another since neither brought up their family, now the only one that doesn’t seem to have a family mentioned is Shiro. Given the fact that he seemed to take in Keith so easily as a mentee it makes sense that he may not have family either and can understand how Keith felt. Romelle lost all her family, she is alone in this world and has no one to trust right now.

You could say, “well what about Allura? She and Coran are Altean”. True but they’re ancient alteans by her standards. Romelle is coming from a world where there was no ruling family, no King Alfor, and only Lotor was the main worship there. So she may not be as connective to Allura on the same level as she may with Shiro. Allura lost her family, as far as we know, but she has Coran and now she’ll have the people of the colony. She also has the Voltron team, so while yes she’s going to understand Romelle’s losses, she’s also going to have a bit of a disconnect because the circumstances were different. Shiro, on the other hand was more recent with his issues with the Galra, and if he, like Keith, lost his family, unlike with Allura, it’s a more fresh wound not 10,000 years ago.

There’s also the fact that they seemed to have set it up pretty well for Shiro to have a connection with Romelle because of the fact that Shiro probably won’t be doing a lot of work with the Castle. What I mean is that given Pidge’s dad will probably be with Coran and Allura figuring things out for it. You’ll have Keith and Lance helping out with making sure there’s room for the lions and working with pidge, hunk  and allura to do their things as a team. Not to mention that when Alllura is not working with Romelle or talking to her about Altea, she’s going to be doing other things. So that places both of them with a lot of free time and time to get to know one another.

Romelle also seemed to want to know how to fly the plane, and clearly will want to know about earth culture. Shiro is the most likely person to do that for her as we’ve seen him be a teacher before.

It’s not a huge leap in logic to assume that Shiro and Romelle will both be working for the release of the Altean colony, so I’m sure that that will lead to them learning more about one another and having fun. Given that Romelle is one of Lauren’s favorite characters I don’t see her passing up the chance to have these two interact. And, given that Sven and Romelle’s romance played a key role in helping Sven get better, as well as the two working as a team as part of the ground resistant fighters, it’s no small guess to assume something of a similar nature for this show could show up and allow their friendship that I’m sure we’ll see cultivated, growing closer.

Now we don’t know the ending of this. But given Shiro’s age, and I’m guessing Romelle’s a lot older than Allura because, like Lotor, she wasn’t put to freezing sleep, it’s not so hard to see them using that as part of the reason that Shiro may hang around with Romelle and could, potentially, stay with her to help train the other alteans in flying or other things.

Honestly it makes the most sense for that set up with him because, he can’t go back as the black pilot, it would advance her as a character as well, it fits within the aspect of the story, and is an easier romance to develop over a short period of time or at least start it, then say figuring out all the complexities of a Lance, Allura, Keith or Lotor, triangle that they may create with the characters.

That’s why I honestly think that it makes sense for them to be endgame in regard to being close at the end of the show and possibly starting off on a new sort of relationship.

If you spend a lot of your time at home in your garage or if you want a clean and organized garage you need a few gadgets. Garage gadgets come in many forms and for different purposes.

For example a stop light for parking may come in handy for someone who has a problem with depth perception or for someone who comes home late from work and is very tired. If you have such problems, you need this tool. It is easy to install and use and it helps you to park the car in the same spot every time when the motion sensors are triggered.

In addition to the doors, the floor of a garage gives style and can integrate to the overall aesthetics of your house. You could try interlocking garage floor tiles that come in multiple colors and patterns. They are made of polypropylene and are easy to install and clean. Another interesting and practical flooring is the coin shaped G-flooring.

Why do you need a heater for your remodeled garage? The answer for this question is pretty obvious: one of the major disadvantages of using your garage as a workshop or a home office is that it wasn’t meant for that. The garage is the special place reserved for your car, the garage is the room where you keep your lawn and garden accessories.

If you start using this space for other projects that you have, you need to deal with one of the major inconveniences, that is warmth. During the summer you don’t have to worry too much about this but during cold seasons you might find some difficulties in continuing your project because of the very low temperature.

You can find many ways to warm up your workshop- garage. You can try one of the porcelain heaters; they work great and can warm up a good area but they are not meant to warm a large space for a long time.

Another solution for you would be to use a kerosene heater. These heaters are easy to turn on, most of them have an electric starter. It should have a thermostat to be able to regulate the temperature also they have a specific scent, they do function on kerosene! So if you think you cannot handle this smell, a kerosene heater wouldn’t be a good choice for you. They are quite dangerous for your children, if they have access to the garage and you would definitely want to ventilate very well the garage!

A very good and popular choice nowadays is a gas heater. Of course you have to hire a professional to install it. You can find a gas heater suited to your budget for remodeling the garage. There are many models and almost all of them are fairly inexpensive. The main advantage of a gas heater is that it gives you a consistently warm environment. They are available in both manual and thermostatic control types. You would probably prefer a model that has a thermostat, even though its price is a little higher than the price of a manual temperature control model. The only thing that you have to do is to set it on a desired temperature and leave it to do its job.

There are two types of gas heaters: vented and vent less. The vent less unit uses air from the room and the vented model has a system that vents directly out of the garage. The disadvantage of the vent less model is that you have to keep the room vented at all times because the unit uses the air from the room where it has been installed. The main advantage for the both types of gas heaters is that they have a pretty low running cost compared to the kerosene and electric heaters.

Remember that if you choose to install a more advanced heating system like a gas heater, you must ask for a professional’s help.

it had been over a week since her initial arrival to the winter palace, and after a grand ball that introduced her to most if not all of the dignitaries beckoned to the small country for the festivities, it was now turn for jodha to meet with the workers and service people of the castle she would be staying at for the time being. it was a courtesy as it was a move to show just how people-minded she could be, having done this at every estate that has hosted her so far. afterall, these people are to make her and her entourage feel welcome during her stay, the least she could do is offer an introduction and a smile of gratitude to them.  

sometimes it looked silly, for her to be making rounds to each department with her ladies maids and guards, but it was a point she wanted to make clear to them that she was approachable and appreciative. which brought her to the last stop of their palace tour --- the security department. jodha was vaguely familiar with some of them, as a few of them came to get her own head of security to a meeting to coordinate protocols within the castle, but the majority of them she couldn’t get a good look at until today. 

as she stands in the doorway, she scans the room to make eye contact with every one of them. when she gets to the back corner of the room, her heart nearly stops, eyes locking with his.  ‘ i hope i didn’t frighten you, ’  she says with a chuckle to mask her discomfort,  ‘ i just dropped by to say how grateful i am that you are working so hard to keep us safe as your guests. ’  she hates how dry her throat suddenly feels.  ‘ i hope that we can keep a good rapport between us while i am here, and if you have any concerns or questions to please direct them to commander khan. ’  she steals a glance over at him again before taking a small bow,  ‘ thank you all so kindly. ’  jodha straightens up and parts from the room, slightly embarrassed and with blood rushing to her cheeks.
