To some extent, this is why Finch still sees himself as invincible, even though a big part of what he’s trying to do is get away from being ‘protected’ and treated as a breakable and delicate being. Always thinks Wynn will keep him safe, and has no real point of reference for genuine pain and harm. At the same time, he’s mad about Wynn keeping him from the realities of it all, not letting him do dangerous work, not letting him get involved.

As he got older, Finch started running off to do his own thing, and in a forest full of creatures who could kill him in seconds, it wasn’t exactly safe. This is a big part of what motivated Wynn to get them out of the fae realm, and back to earth, hoping that it would give Finch something new to focus on and do instead of constantly running off and acting like he was TRYING to get himself killed.

Until Finch bought a truck, it was a pretty good plan. Then the one tonne rolling metal death box entered the scene. Finch still doesn’t have a license.
