Une nouvelle journée débute dans l'abbaye. L'ensemble du bâtiment est plutôt calme, seuls les bruits de pas des soeurs se font entendre avec quelques bavardages ici et là.

Seulement, ce calme habituel est coupé par un bruit de vase qui se brise. Ce bruit résonne dans les couloirs et surprend toutes les personnes passant à proximité de la pièce d'où vient la source sonore.

A l'intérieur de cette salle se trouvent les Ghouls. Habituellement, le groupe s'amuse ou s'entraîne pour les diverses Tournées de la bande Ghost. Mais aujourd'hui, une toute autre ambiance prend place.

DewDrop se retrouve accroupi sur la table en chêne de la salle, exposant ses dents acérées vers toi de façon menaçante, prêt à te sauter dessus à tout moment.

De ton côté, tu te tournes à nouveau vers lui, quittant le vase, qu'il a tenter de lancer sur toi plus tôt, des yeux. Ton regard illustre la colère amère qui s'est éveillée en toi. Cette colère que tu as toujours ressenti envers Sodo.

Pourquoi étais-tu en colère envers la Ghoul? Et bien... Le mâle t'a en fait toujours détesté. Et ce, depuis ton arrivée dans l'abbaye. Tu n'as jamais su pourquoi il ne pouvait pas te supporter, et tu ne le sais toujours pas aujourd'hui...

DewDrop et toi ne vous quittez pas des yeux. Les autres Ghouls remarquent alors l'élan que Sodo commence à prendre, prêt à frapper.

Instantanément, alors que la Ghoul s'apprête à t'attaquer, Mountain et Aether se jettent sur lui, le retenant de faire plus de dégâts que précédemment.

"- Assez, Sodo! Vous en avez trop fait!

- Ne vous plaignez pas d'avoir des problèmes avec la Soeur Impératrice ou Papa..."

Tu te moques des paroles de Aether et Mountain, les fixant d'un air ennuyé :

"- Papa ne dira pas grand chose... Il n'est pas Primo, Secundo ou encore Terzo. Ni même Papa Nihil! Je vous rappelle que c'est Copia."

Les Ghouls femelles, qui depuis le début restent dans le fond de la pièce, se regardent et acquiescent quand elles se tournent ensuite vers toi alors que Cirrus valide tes propos :

"- Y/N n'a pas tort... On va dire que... Copia est un peu plus ouvert que les précédents Papas.

- Ca n'empêche pas qu'il peut s'énerver quand il le veut. Là Dew', tu as brisé son vase stupide préféré qu'il a installé il y a trois jours."

Tout le monde se tourne vers Swiss qui hausse les épaules avant de lever ses mains en l'air de façon innocente :

"- Tout ce que je veux dire, c'est que t'es dans la merde Sodo. Et toi aussi Y/N.

- Moi!?

- Dewdrop ne se battait pas tout seul."

Tu soupires de défaite et tourne le dos à Swiss. Tu sais qu'il a raison, mais tu ne veux pas l'assumer. Après tout, c'était Sodo qui l'avait cherché!

Aether et Mountain font descendre Sodo de la table et alors que le calme commence doucement à revenir, la porte d'entrée s'ouvre avec un fracas, prenant par surprise un peu toutes les Ghouls, sauf Swiss, qui lève le doigt et se met à compter :

"- Cinq, quatre...

- Qu'est-ce qui s'est passé ici?

- Trois, deux.... Un..

- Mon vase!!"

Tout le monde cesse de faire quoi que ce soit dans la pièce, ne sachant jamais comment va réagir Copia. Sachant qu'il est beaucoup attaché à ses affaires étranges que seul lui aime sous ce toit.

Le précédemment Cardinal fonce vers l'objet en pièces avant de se tourner vers ses Ghouls, les plus gros morceaux du vase entre ses mains gantées.

"- Qui est responsable de ce gâchis, enfin?"

Swiss sort, les mains dans les poches et rapidement, les filles le suivent. Ensuite, les autres Ghouls sortent. Il ne reste que toi et Sodo avec Copia. Vous restez figés là, regardant le vase de Papa IV.

Tu t'avance avec hésitation vers lui. Ne sachant pas quoi dire, tu choisi l'option : faire tes excuses. Tu t'agenouille face à Papa et ramasse les quelques morceaux restant au sol :

"- Je suis désolé Papa... Ce n'était pas volontaire. Si il faut, on t'en offrira un autre.

- Aaaah, Amico! Tu sais que je tenais à ce vase! Il était unique en plus... Je l'avais fait faire!

- Je sais.. Et encore une fois, je suis désolé. Le prochain ne le remplacera sûrement pas, mais on en reprendra un."

Voyant que Copia reste plutôt calme face à la situation malgré sa déception, Sodo commence à reculer, se disant que l'ancien Cardinal pense qu'il s'agit seulement de ta faute.

Malheureusement pour lui, le dernier Papa se tourne dans sa direction sans pour autant vraiment le regarder :

"- DewDrop?"

La voix de Copia fait stopper la Ghoul instantanément. Il regarde à nouveau l'homme accroupi face aux débris avant de s'avancer de quelques pas lents vers celui-ci.

"- Papa..?

- Je suppose que si Y/N a brisé mon vase, ce n'est pas seul?

- Vous m'accusez?

- Oh je t'en prie... Ne me prends pas pour un uomo stupido. Vous vous battez régulièrement et ce n'est pas la première fois qu'un bazar comme tel est commis."

Sodo soupire, laissant tomber ses bras le long de son corps alors qu'il regarde à l'opposé de toi et de Copia, ennuyé par la situation.

Papa IV se relève, toujours avec les débris du vase entre les mains. Il se saisit d'une corbeille à fruit vide qui est posée sur la table de la pièce pour y déposer les morceaux brisés.

Ayant ramassé les restes de ton côté, tu fais la même chose que Copia alors que l'homme prend à nouveau la parole :

"- Sachez que même si je tiens à vous, même si je suis moins sévère que vos précédents Papas, vous n'en sortirez pas indemnes de cette bêtise."

Toi et Sodo échangez un contact visuel, les yeux écarquillés, alors que vous vous demandez ce qui vous attend. Vous vous tournez tout les deux vers Papa qui lui, lève un doigt en l'air, comme un parent gronderait ses enfants.

"- Je veux que vous me nettoyiez toute cette pièce. Et quand je dis tout, ce n'est pas à prendre à la légère! Sol, meubles, fenêtres, tout au complet! Et vous avez de la chance que je ne vous demande pas toute l'Abbaye!"

Alors que vous soupirez comme des enfants boudeurs, Copia s'éloigne de vous avant de se stopper au seuil de la porte. Il regarde à nouveau dans votre direction pendant qu'il fait des signes étranges et exagérés avec ses mains.

"- Maintenant, je retourne travailler. Et je veux que cette salle soit propre à mon retour! Hop hop hop!"

Sur ces derniers mot, l'ancien Cardinal quitte la pièce, refermant la porte derrière lui.

Sodo se tourne vers toi, un regard noir posé sur ta silhouette.

"- Ne me regarde pas comme ça. On a de quoi nettoyer à aller chercher, Dewy."

La Ghoul grogne alors que tu le devances, sortant de la pièce pour aller chercher de quoi nettoyer dans le sellier de la cuisine.

Dewdrop te suit tout de même, marmonnant dans sa barbe des mots incompréhensibles.

Une fois de retour dans la grande pièce, tu t'approches des fenêtres, un seau d'eau avec du nettoyant pour vitres en mains et un torchon tenant sur ton avant-bras.

Sodo te regarde juste faire, tenant une balayette et un balais classique dans ses mains en plus d'un paquet de lingettes.

Tu t'assois sur le bord d'une des fenêtres après l'avoir ouverte avant de te tourner vers Sodo :

"- Bien... comme convenu, je me charge des fenêtre et toi tu sol et des meubles.

- "Comme convenu"? Tu as convenu ça seul! Tu ne m'as même pas demandé mon avis!

- Tu veux nettoyer les fenêtres qui sont délicates à faire? Tu veux nettoyer les fenêtres pour que quand il y aura une prochaine pluie elles seront affreusement salies et ça te frustrera? Je pense que tu préfères passer à côté, non? Dis toi que je te rends service.

Dewdrop te tourne le dos, partant de l'autre côté de la pièce pour commencer à se débarrasser des poussières. Quant à toi, tu lèves les yeux au ciel avant de débuter ton nettoyage de fenêtres.

Quelques heures sont passées.

Après que Dewdrop ait fini de retirer la poussière et de nettoyer les meubles et que toi tu ais fini de laver les fenêtres, vous avez rendu le sol d'avantage propre avec de l'eau et du savon.

Maintenant, vous êtes assis sur les bancs autour de la table, attendant patiemment le retour de Copia.

Enfin... "patiemment". C'est un bien grand mot car voilà un bon moment que vous avez fini votre nettoyage. Le sol a eu le temps de sécher, et Papa Emeritus IV n'est toujours pas là. Vous commencez à perdre patience.

Refusant de t'énerver facilement, tu décides de tenter une conversation simple avec Sodo, essayant de détendre l'atmosphère et de vous occuper le temps que Papa arrive.

"- Uhm... Ce n'était pas si mal de faire le ménage avec toi.

- Quoi?

- Je veux dire... T'as vu? On ne s'est pas engueulés, on ne s'est pas battus. C'est pas si mal?"

Sodo hausse simplement les épaules. Au moins, il n'a pas tiré une tête désagréable, il ne t'a pas non plus insulté ou crié dessus. Tu prends ça comme un bon point.

"- Les meubles sont propres... Tu as fait du bon boulot là bas.

- Bien évidemment... J'avais pas envie de rester là très longtemps alors bon- il fallait bien que je fasse ça correctement."

Tu acquiesces. Tu poses ta tête sur la paume de ta main, cherchant après un nouveau sujet de discussion mais sans succès.

Un petit sursaut te prend quand la Ghoul reprend la parole :

"- Ce n'était pas mal de ton côté non plus...

Vous vous pointez du doigt mutuellement comme des gamins. Réalisant que vous commenciez une dispute et en plus de ça pour encore quelque chose de stupide, vous vous détournez de l'un et de l'autre, décidant de ne plus rien dire et de ne même plus vous regarder.

Plusieurs minutes sont passées et Copia n'est toujours pas là.

Tu te tournes vers la porte, te demandant si celle-ci va s'ouvrir avec un Copia passant son seuil ou non.

"- Papa en met vraiment du temps."

Cette fois, tu n'obtiens pas de réponse de la part de Sodo.

Tu te tournes vers lui une nouvelle fois et le regarde curieusement. La Ghoul a croisé ses bras sur la table et posé sa tête sur eux. On pourrait presque dire qu'il peut s'endormir à tout moments.

"- Sodo?

- Hm...

- J'ai une question..

- Si c'est trop ennuyeux, ne cherche pas, alors réfléchis bien à ce que tu vas me demander, Y/N."

Tu prends une longue mais discrète inspiration avant d'expirer et de demander :

"- Pourquoi me détestes-tu?"

A ces mots, Sodo se fige.

Ses mains se saisisse avec force de ses bras. Tu es presque sûr qu'il pourrait y planter ses griffes, même à travers sa chemise noire.

"- Je t'avais dis de bien réfléchir à ta question.

- Excuse moi si ça t'énerve. Mais j'ai vraiment besoin de savoir..

Dewdrop ne te regarde pas.

A vrai dire, il regarde le mur à sa gauche, préférant observer les tableaux qui y sont accrochés plutôt que ta personne assise en face de lui.

Avec un soupire, tu te lèves. Sodo se tourne vers toi, te regardant avec les sourcils froncés et également avec une pointe de curiosité.

"- Qu'est-ce que tu fou?

- Je sors. Tu vois bien que Papa ne revient pas. Il nous a sûrement oublié. Et moi je peux pas rester avec quelqu'un comme toi qui n'est même pas capable de sympathiser ou même de m'expliquer ce qui ne va pas!"

Les poings serrés, tu perds patience et commence à te diriger vers la sortie.

Alors que tu tends la main vers la porte, tes poignets sont saisis par deux mains fortes. Tu n'as pas le temps de réaliser ce qui se passe que ton corps et plaqué contre le mur.

En réalisant, tu croises le regard de la Ghoul présente dans la même pièce que toi. Tu déglutis difficilement alors que tu essayes de te débattre.

Dewdrop épingle tes poignets au dessus de ta tête d'une main alors qu'il attrape ton menton entre deux doigts d'une autre. En faisant tout cela, ses yeux perçants ne quittent jamais les tiens.

Tu respires lourdement alors que tu ne quitte pas son regard également.

"- Tu es un homme, voilà tout."

Tes sourcils se froncent dans la confusion.

Ta respiration se calme alors que tu tentes de comprendre ce qu'est le problème dans le fait que tu sois un homme.

"- Parce que je suis humain, tu ne m'apprécie pas?

- Tu ne comprends pas..."

Son emprise sur tes poignets se desserre, mais il ne te laisse pas pour autant partir. Sa main qui tenait il y a quelques instants ton menton se pose sur ta hanche.
