I just thought of something that is really cool, I think.

I have watched Wynonna Earp since the beginning, but I finally got round to watching Supernatural, I know I'm late since people used to say they wanted a Wynonna/Supernatural crossover.

And I think I just found out how they can do this, if they want to.

In Season 13, episode 8 of Supernatural: The Scorpion and The Frog, there is a young woman who has sold her soul to a demon for an unknown reason but is saved thanks to the Winchesters.

Her name is Alice.

And since Supernatural has all sorts of stuff, including going back in time, what Gus and baby Alice got involved with something demon-like, and so an Angel sent them back in time to save them.

But get this, because of the Ghost River Triangle thing and what with there being another Gus there, Gus could not take Alice back, so she hides from Alice about the whole Revenant thing but tells her how wonderful her parents are.

So, when Gus passes on, Alice tries to find her parents, sells her soul to a demon, gets saved by the Winchesters, travels for a while, and eventually feels when the Curse over the Ghost River Triangle breaks and feels a pull in that direction that will eventually lead her home.

It would be pretty cool right?

Especially if Wynonna ran into her own daughter and can't believe she is not that much younger than Wynonna herself, Wynonna would definitely need a strong drink!

It's just a random thought since I am watching The Scorpion and The Frog episode right now.

You know, what I really love about the show is that it never frames Galadriel as right!

She's impulsive, abrasive, manipulative, and selfish. She's so focus on her revenge that she doesn't realize what's really happening around her. She's chasing a ghost and she ends up creating her own enemy.

But that's what makes her character so compelling. She's far from perfect. She's human. And she's suffering. She's lost the people she loves and she doesn't know how to cope with that!

No, the show doesn't glorify war, doesn't think that Galadriel's revenge is rightful.

What the show does is to show a human being that went through hell and is learning how to survive that. This revenge is the only thing that keeps her going. She needs it... And that's the whole point. For a moment she even thinks to accept Sauron's proposals. To let the darkness in means to ease her pain, it means relief.

Galadriel is at the beginning of her journey to become what we see in the end of Lord of the Rings and I'm glad we get to see it...

Low key glad I wasn’t the only one who didn’t love the Wearp special. Some parts were good like the Wynhaught dynamic but Wayhaught wasn’t Wayhaught. The magic was gone, imo. Waverly was so ooc it hurt. It put me off so much, I haven’t listened to the audiobook. Like, why was Waverly so mean? Felt like they could’ve have gone about showing them unhappy and unsatisfied in much better storytelling ways.

hmm, yeah i think i've seen a few people say they didn't enjoy it (although i'll be real i haven't gone looking for what people are saying because i'm not on social media too much these days). and neither is right or wrong cause it's all subjective etc.

but yeah, i struggled with it for a lot of reasons. to me it felt like nearly everyone was ooc, like it was a caricature of sorts? almost like everyone had been just so excited to get back after so long, but that carried through into the characters a bit too much. and the transition from a full season to 90 minutes felt quite rough on the storyline.

for me, waverly being mean didn't feel too off because she was actually being mean (like this is still the same girl who was introduced to us as firing a shotgun in her own apartment because she thought her boyfriend was cheating on her), but i agree they could have picked a better subject to have that 'drama' with wayhaught and make it make sense. like, waverly has never left her hometown and that has nothing to do with nicole, but for some reason that's why she's now restless and seemingly blaming her wife? said wife having sacrificed her own personal freedom not too long ago just so the celestial side of waverly wouldn't take her away for good? idk, it didn't make all that much sense to me that she would suddenly have this issue now. and i wish the writers would understand they don't need to always have conflict in relationships to make them interesting.

aside from the ooc of most characters and a storyline that didn't hit for me, the one bit that really got me was making wynonna a cop. like, have we not gone through the same journey for the last four seasons? there isn't a universe she'd willingly agree to that. and that's partly why her relationship worked so well with nicole, because they're polar opposites. wynonna was done such a disservice and once again i was begging for them to let her have just one goddamn moment of happiness.

i also haven't listened to the audiobook, but that's moreso because i struggle to listen to audiobooks in general. so perhaps things are better fleshed out in that medium with having more space and time to tell a story. idk. like i don't want to be ungrateful or anything, i'm really glad they got to find their way back. and i'm truly glad if other people enjoyed it :)

Here’s me thinking that I’m just writing into the void because nobody cared to read my meta or thoughts on what I was engaging myself in but so many people have responded and commented to the recent shows I’ve been watching and games I’ve been playing. Perhaps all I needed to do was just explore and expand my horizons a bit. Take a chance on something not necessarily “new” but that was relatively still popular in the Tumblrsphere. Media with some hype around it. Media that is still beloved by many observes and fans alike.

I mean I really only ever talk and write about ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’, which I know still has a very heavily dedicated fanbase. Just not so much here on Tumblr.

I guess the key was finding media somewhat similar to it. You know. W-led and WLW stuff as well as sci-fi stuff.

At the end of the day I do write only for me because my level of passion just won’t let it be any other way (and I’m an automatic writer) but I do want it to have some traction. I don’t just want to be writing into the void.

I really appreciate the interactions I’ve received so far in my meta writings covering my first time watches and rewatches of ‘She-Ra’, ‘Arcane’ and ‘Wynonna Earp’.

Funny how like 90 percent of people wanting the wilds back hate to acknowledge the fact that it's partly their fault. I want the wilds to be renewed as well, however if I DARE say yall aren't ready for it and a small part of me thinks some viewers are undeserving I'm the bad guy. Right because the vast majority of you didn't openly admit to skipping over the boys parts in the show, smh. If you arent watching the whole episode why would they want to renew it? They want views, they want money. Do I want the wilds back? Of course. Do I think the gretchen clones deserve it? No. Be better.

If you would have told me that by the end of 2023 Ali and Ashlyn would be divorced, Ali would be retired, Station 19 would be cancelled and I would only get Maya and Carina for 10 more episodes I would have laughed in your face and said 'sick joke, that's my actual nightmare' and now all of those things are a reality...it's actually insane how badly this year has ended.

Ever had a moment when your brain roils with so many unanswered questions that it feels like you'll go insane because you can't talk about them with anyone?

That was me yesterday when my mind decided to torment me with questions about the garden in Wynonna Earp.

In the end, I decided that, while I would probably never get any answers, I needed to get it down and maybe post it here just to get it out of my head.

I sat down, cracked my knuckles, which ouch, bad idea with my hands, and got to writing. Only to get about two things down and then realise that the ideas in my mind that had been chasing each other for hours and seemed so big, took up only a couple of lines and were not so important after all.

If anyone is interested, it came down to...

Why was DA Waverly trying to get back to the garden? Was it a sense of obligation or on some level did she know there was more to guard there that we didn't get to see?

Where did Eve get yeeted to?

And...

We know that Nicole is now tied to the GRT but everyone has kind of assumed that Waverly can now leave but, is that even true? When Julian left/was thrown across the border, he lost his memories, would the same thing happen to Waverly if she tried to go? (that could make for a heartbreakingly angsty story that I never want to read)
