Pairing: Hao Ting/Xi Gu

Summary: Hao Ting made three promises to Xi Gu. The first was that he wouldn’t stop living when Xi Gu did. The second was that they would have a normal wedding that was free from trouble. The third and final one would that he would always love Xi Gu. Hao Ting was sure that he would be able to keep only one of those promises.

It was enough for Xi Gu to continue after taking a deep breath and swiping away at Hao Ting’s wet cheeks. “Promise me that if anything happens to me—“ Hao Ting had to bite his lip so that a sob wouldn’t slip out. “—that you won't do anything like this again. That you won’t stop living too. You worked far too hard to throw everything away, Hao Ting. Promise me that you won’t stop being who you are when I’m no longer here. Promise me that…”
