hm. tierlist on how good of a hugger i think the pjsk cast is. vocaloids are thrown in at random. personal headcannons GALORE

tenma tsukasa. canonically an amazing big brother. this comes with the territory. he's also a human radiator so it feels very soft and warm. also has good strength so you feel very safe. 10/10 would hug again.

wxs luka. she is chubby and soft and sleepy. this is the ideal person TO hug. only thing keeping her from that number one spot is the fact she will fall asleep in your arms which is cute for about ten seconds.

mochizuki honami. she is canonically BUFF AS HELL and also SOFT. a hug from honami will instantly make you forget every single one of your worries. also she smells like apple pie.

otori emu. she may not have luka, hona, or kasa's height, but she has more than enough wonderhoy to make up for it. getting hugged by emu is like getting hugged by the worlds nicest weighted blanket.

hanasato minori. if i could go to a mmj fan meetup the first thing i would do is ask minori for a hug. she will hug you like she means it. and she does very much mean it. i just think it would be nice.

tenma saki. she will give you hugs CONSTANTLY in that super friendly "we're gonna jump in a circle while i hug you because im so happy to see you" way. will it be a long hug? no. will it make you feel instantly happy and welcome? yes. and that my friend is valid.

vbs meiko. it's a hug from your mother (or what you imagine a hug from a good mother like figure to be). safe and secure. familiar.

hinomori shizuku. if you are nice to her she will find a way to give you a hug. she smells like dewdrops in the morning. it's a very refreshing hug.

shiraishi an. everyone needs a big bear hug from a strong lesbian every now and again. also she will pick you up halfway through the hug so be ready.

shinonome akito. i dont think there is a single card where he is next to toya and not either actively giving him a hug or very much thinking about it. also hes warm and that's nice. he will not try and hug you first unless your name is aoyagi toya.

momoi airi. actually a very good hug. she will hold you tight for a few seconds. big fan of the shoulder side hug.

l/n luka. its like a hug from that cool upperclassman you had a tiny crush on in high school. objectively a very neutral hug but she's cool and it makes you feel safe.

kiritani haruka. she has perfected her idol hug throughout the years. it is a blend of hopeful, reassuring, and slightly impersonal. she tries though and you have to love her for it. if you're a haruka stan it's an instant 1 though.

azusawa kohane. honestly fantastic hugger it's a very friendly and kind sort of feeling. she's just not confident enough to give you a good one unless you're close.

yoisaki kanade. she kind of smells like bo and ramen but it's ok because a hug from kanade makes you feel instantly safer. kanade hugs are full of reassurance and safety. a reminder that you are not alone and you will be saved.

hoshino ichika. she has a very basic hug but there is love and hatsune miku inside of it so that's pretty cool

n25 miku. she learned what a hug is last week and has been practicing non-stop since. len likes this. meiko and kaito do not.

akiyama mizuki. in theory? incredible hugger. will hold you nice and tight. in practice? too scared of emotional intimacy to ever put it to practice.

shinonome ena. also someone who in theory would give great hugs but in practice unless you're having an emotional crisis she will try and scratch you to get out when she's done with it.

kusanagi nene. she's too anxious to try giving you a hug unless your name is otori emu, and even then it's really only reciprocation. she smells a bit like grapefruit and ocean waves somehow.

hinomori shiho. unless your name is tenma saki she will not hug you back. refuses to jump with her though.

vbs len. have you ever met a middle school boy who can give a decent hug.

kamishiro rui. im sorry he's bony as hell and will think he's not worthy of such kindness for a solid ten minutes. it's not the worst hug in the world but it's certainly the worst of wxs.

aoyagi toya. this poor child has not initiated a hug once in his life. he does not know what to do. hes trying though.

asahina mafuyu. hugging maf is like trying to hug an ice cube (physically and emotionally). not recommended unless you are desperate.

Tsukasa Tenma is now a genius type actor (Theory)

What if Tsukasa is actually a genius type actor and we're all being fooled to see Tsukasa as a common type actor?

Or other than thay what if he got an upgrade as the story progress?

In the "On The Stage Of Dazzling Light" event,  aka Tsukasa's 2nd wxs event, Rui explained about types of actor.

From what we know he explains three of them:

Type of actor that gradually brings themselves closer to the role. The actor type that Rui thinks Tsukasa is in.

Theoretical type that analyses the role and imitates it in detail. This is the actor type that Sakurako has.

The genius type actor that possesses the role. It's stated in the curtain fall event that Asahi is a genius type actor.

Rui said that Tsukasa is the type of actor that gradually brings themselves closer to the role. The most popular type of actor. Which means it's a common type of actor.

But is he really?

Rui said that the genius type actor has the ability to possess the role.

You know which character's acting that feels possess? Tsukasa's Rio.

Tsukasa's inner monologue here during the audition day doesn't seem to be Tsukasa's own inner thoughts at all. But it sounds more like the Rio character instead. Which means he even act in his thoughts too. That's how deep Tsukasa acting as Rio here went.

It's honestly very different from his Torpe role by a longshot. Even when Tsukasa was acting as Torpe on the stage during the performance, his inner monologue still sounds like Tsukasa himself.

After completing his Rio audition, he was in daze. As if the character role he was playing isn't even himself but instead he was possess by the character. (No. Idk how to explain it in the right words.)

Unlike the first and the second acting type, they have yet to fully explain what genius acting type can do. All we now is they can "possess" the role. As in like letting the role taking over them I think?

There's also a small hints of Tsukasa "possess" a role before the event. The one where Tsukasa plays as an android.

Even though he has already finish playing his role as an android. The movements for his acting is still there. This does show how deep Tsukasa is in when acting a role. As if Tsukasa now has the ability to possess the role itself

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

Why I like Tsukasa is a question that would require a whole ESSAY. He was the first character I got introduced to snd really got to know - i started the game with wxs main story and right before his torpe event started so it was the first event i really played - and I have a tendency to get attached easily. As in, the first character I get attached to is most likely going to stay my fav throughout everything. Not always but often

There's also just something about him being this. Really well done mix of funny, stupid, impulsive and mature, caring, with a heavy sense of responsibility. You can laugh at him or with him but you can also empathise with him or feel his love and care for others, almost like he's comforting you too. It's the onii-chan vibe. I'm not gonna start dissecting his entire character right now, but I also really appreciate his growth - even within the main story itself but throughout all the events mainly. The way he's growing more open with his feelings - both his own and those for his close ones - and becoming more confident, while also acknowledging his mistakes and LETTING himself make them and grow with them, correcting them and moving on. He's both a fascinating character from story and development point of view but also just has the kind of development I like

And don't get me started on his dynamics with other charscters - that are both fun and fascinating and just. So full of love and passion and care and also silliness. What can I say. You just can't be bored with him

There's also the fact he and I also share some similarities or traits, so it's easy to identify with, and consequently grow closer to him often. He's not my biggest kin or anything, and there's plenty that makes us different, but some key values we agree on. If that makes sense. And there's also some things I just admire in his character that i wish I had, could do. And so. I just. Admire him isn't the right word but I can't find a better one rn? Something of the kind

Anyway yeah just. He's awesome. Stupid loser. I hate him

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

I REALLY like the idea of kasaverse. It's so fun! There's so many different like, versions of Tsukasa from various of his plays/events/sets and all and they all have certain characteristics attached to them and can somehow feel like a separate and the same character simultaneously

I like that there's certain traits of tsukasa that those various "versions" of him represent, some widely accepted by the fandom or some just unique to each fan. It just feels like they're pieces of his personality separated from him and shaped into a smaller piece of himself that you can study in this form, and if you piece all those various tsukasas and their personalities together, that's when you get the full tsukass tenma. It makes him feel so.. developed? Idk how to say it. Its just awesome

I do like to imagine that each different tsukasa from the kasaverse is representative of some trait/part/dream/etc of his in a more exaggerated(?) way. Like you probably noticed I love making hinakasa have the Big Bro Tsukasa vibes ×100. I do feel like hina is just this. Representative of Tsukasa's older sibling caring side more than the others, especially seeing what event he came from. In a similar way Torpe highlights his calmer yet dedicated side - I also like to imagine torpe as the part that gets embarrassed by too many compliments (like that scene with shizuku in pandemonium). Knight can be loyalty, can be determination. Fighting tooth and nail for that happy ending. King is that charisma, ability to bringing people together, the leadership. And others. It's just fun to imagine

Also it just fits the method actor vibe SOO well

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

You know, its stupid. You know that moment when you're asked something and. Immediately forget everything you know on the topic? Yeah.... I know i have many I just never have them on hand when needed... Ironic

He's a mama's boy. He's also very close to her right after Saki and loves to spend time together and buy her gifts and help her out at home. Also his canon bedroom is a lie because he obviously has shining in the dark stars on his ceiling like saki and drawings/sketches and many many photos over his desk and plushies on his bed. Colopale is just a coward

Has freckles and thick fluffy hair but you can see that from my drawings. Always has some kind of bruise from practice on him that he never remembers how he got. He's an early bird that also falls asleep very easily and usually early too, on a schedule. Often dreams but quickly forgets, so he always writes those down as quick as he can in the morning for future reference or exchanges their dreams with Saki over breakfast

Always has to do something with his hands, especially when frustrated or nervous. Especially enjoys playing with others' hair. Had a tendency to bite his nails, so saki taught him to paint his nails to prevent that. Currently has wxs colours painted nails as ordered by emu just as the rest of the troupe. Also knows how to braid hair and do makeup thanks to Saki. Enjoys baking a lot and sometimes stress bakes things. He can't swim very well

Also a silly thing but we know hes bad at games overall but he's actually a master at playing word games. Especially Scrabble, with that dumb vast and complicated vocabulary of his. You cannot tell me Tsukasa "I am valiantly trying to confront this unscrupulous spider preventing me from enjoying my luncheon" Tenma would not win at Scrabble (I have an old comic on that)

I'm gonna be honest recently it's been harder to choose between all polysho tsks dynamics, but I'm gonna say ruikasa because it's the first ship I got introduced and attached to, by the friends who introduced me to the game. And just. the TRUST man. The TRUST

They've got both a funny and deep dynamic and big influence on each other ever since the beginning that can't be denied. I won't really talk much about then right now but I just simply appreciate the way they push each other to be better, to keep trying, to give their all and not hold back, while making sure the other doesn't stop taking care of himself and is aware he's believed in and trusted. Also they are just two insane weirdos who do stupid shit together and it's funny

Ichika:

There is an incredibly high chance that Ichika heard about you before the two of you even met!

She's probably one of the biggest vocaloid fans out of the entire cast, so the majority of her music taste is vocaloid music

Because of this, she's learned all about different styles and different producers...None of them had ever drawn her in like your music did though!

She would always be checking in to see whenever you would post a new song, and would immediately learn it on her guitar-

When she meets you in person, she thinks you're really awesome! When you reveal that you're one of her favorite producers? She freaks out-

Minori:

While idol music had always appealed to Minori, she found herself drawn to vocaloid songs after the forming of the Sekai!

It's more likely than not that she'll be drawn to your music if it's similar to idol music, but either way, she really enjoys your style!

She's very curious about the whole process when it comes to making vocaloid songs, she's astonished by the skill you have!

Any time you upload a new song, she'll literally cheer in her room, and probably try to learn the choreography if your songs come with music videos-

Kohane never really knew too much about music in general, but vocaloid music was always cool to listen to!

Whenever they're taking a break at WxS practices, he'll be blasting your music in his own corner and sing along! He definitely drags the others to sing with him-

He thinks you're so so so amazing, and any time the two of you hang out alone, he'll sing your songs with you. Even if you don't sing, he'll sing for you!

Kanade:

Vocaloid songs were always an interesting way of composing to her, so when she discovered your music, she was astonished

Your sound was just so unique, and she found herself listening to every single song you made, engrossing herself in your sound

She comments on a lot of your videos, giving you compliments and asking you about your process for composing

Whether you find out who she is before the two of you meet, the moment you reveal your identity, she reveals hers to you

You become an honorary member of Niigo, and she usually adds you into calls to talk to you while she works on her own composing!

To be fair I don't follow with many LeoNeed accounts on Twitter or here but I wish L/N fans were as crazy as WxS fans are with their card AUs cause I think LeoNeed have some of the prettiest cards after MMJ and Nigo & most AU potential after WxS (and no those things aren't the same)

• Corrupt Orchestra (?) Corrupt Music Business (?) Elite Band (?) From the Flyaway Set. Idk they look rich and smug in that one. The Girl boss AU I guess. (HC is in the same universe as WxS Potato bc Matching Clothes Tenmas so true they are both evil (:< )

• Magical Police force from that Ichika Set.

This are all I can think of off the top of my head.

Btw AU v/s Just Pretty is like the We Are Shizuku set v/s Drop Shizuku Set. Both are pretty, but the Drop Shizuku Set is more just them in a photo shoot while the We are Set they are small little humans living in a pond. It's also We I can't think of an AU for the NEO LeoNeed set (not the anniversary song, the LeoNeed gacha I don't remember what the song it was but it was Ichikana learning to tune Miku cameo)

I wish people were more crazy about the characters they love so I could feel a little crazy about them too instead of just thinking they are alright. Bc, I confess, I had to get sold on Tsukasa bc I hated him at first. When I started I went for Rui and Mizuki bc they looked like Freaks, but ended up just being Sad Wet Cats. I don't think anyone can outsell Tsukasa for me now bc every other OC in pjsk is more like a normal person, but I want the bait y'know?

20. Akito Shinonome

I'm just not a fan of his vocals tbh. Like they're not bad they're ok. However he sounds fine in cinema and hitsuji ga ippiki. He was also fine in ame to petra

19. Toya Aoyagi

I like his voice slightly more than Akito. He sounded really good in AnToya children record and ToyaHane junky night town with Kohane. His ame to Petra cover was fine, probably my favourite solo of his, and he sounds fine in cinema and hitsuji ga ippiki.

18. Nene Kusanagi

I'd rather listen to Nene then these two however I'm not the biggest fan of her voice. Random note, when her VA was singing live my immediate reaction was "wow that is Nene's voice coming out of her mouth." but anyway Nene is too nasally for me. She sounds fine in her alts I guess, but again her voice is very nasally. However she sounds amazing in glory steady go and Goodbbye sengen with wxs. She's higher than Akito and Toya because I think she adds to the song when she's singing with everyone and when she's singing with Emu

17. Tsukasa Tenma

I like his Literary nonsense cover more than Rui's. However that's the only cover I'd buy. Not bad but not the best. Like Nene he adds to the vocals with the group and him and Rui make a pretty good duo when they sing together ex: fixer, Literary nonsense. Listening to Mr showtime reminded me why I put him here. He doesn't always sound great by himself. (However all his commissioned songs are bangers for no reason) also you should all listen to his cover of the world hasn't started yet with Emu it's really good

16. Rui Kamishiro

I like Rui's voice. His as you like it cover was one of the first ones I got (the wxs group as you like it wasn't that good) and it's good. Unlike Nene and Tsukasa and the others he sounds pretty good on his own and with the others. However he doesn't like, I don't want to say have the range, but Tsukasa's nonsense bungaku cover was better because he was able to sound clear and bring energy to it. Rui doesn't have the same energy Kasa does and sometimes he doesn't have the clarity which is why his voice is more suited for songs like fixer

15. Minori Hanasato

I almost put her higher than Emu. I like Minori's voice. It's bright and cheerful and idol like. I like her ai no material she sounds absolutely adorable. And her vampire is very nice too. I don't think she deserves 20-18th place on ranking charts however there are better vocals which is why she rounds out our bottom five. I love you Minori so I'm sorry

14. Emu Otori

Emu my baby! Honestly I want to put her higher but I can't. I actually love Emu's vocals a lot. They're always so fun and high energy. Her singing is amazing because HOLY FUCK THAT IS HIGH PITCHED. I understand the grievances about how her voice can get grating but that's only if you listen to it for like, an hour non stop. Also we all talk about her telecaster B-boy cover but never her the world hasn't started yet cover with Tsukasa. She goes lower than in telecaster and it sounds so nice like?! It's SO good. And her positive dance time cover is amazing as well and we gotta talk about her alien alien cover. Best one I've heard. Her voice doesn't go crazy high but she still has all that Emu energy. I think I've bought more covers of her than any other character tbh

13. Kohane Azusawa

Listening to Akina's covers honestly helped put Kohane this high and made me enjoy her voice more. Her voice is similar to Minori's but she goes higher because her voice has this soft like quality (her into the night cover) and it's evolved a lot since the beginning. She sounds great in hitsuji ga ippiki (I may have a slight obsession with this song) and in most songs. I love Akina's overdose cover and I'd describe her voice as lovely. Also her rapping in wa-wa-world is very fun

12. Airi Momoi

I like Airi's voice. Her Romeo to Cinderella cover is great and one of the first I bought in the game but her real MVP alt is marshmary. She goes so high and it sounds so amazing I don't think a lot of people could pull that off. Her voice is kind of a mix of Minori's and Haruka's in the sense of it's high but has this grounding feel to it. But this is as high as she goes because there are other voices I enjoy more

11. Honami Mochizuki

I love all of Honami's covers. Yes, even her Stella cover. I actually re-listened to it today (along with other characters) and I enjoyed it. Her voice is amazing (all of l/n is actually) and like, it's so warm and soft. It's like Kanade's in that sense. Speaking of Kanade

10. Kanade Yoisaki

Kanade you'll always be famous. Her covers are so good. Most emotional voice in project sekai. There's so much pain in her reborn alt and her MKDR cover OMFG- it sounds like she's going to cry it's amazing. Her hated by life itself cover was so good the Devs gave her the full song to sing by herself. People complain she doesn't have enough power in her voice but her voice isn't supposed to be powerful the may Mizuki or An's is. It's soft but delivers emotion. Also her composing the future is the closest thing you'll get to power from her

9. Mafuyu Asahina

I LOVE Mafuyu's voice. Like Kanade's voice it tends to be soft, and carries emotion at times. (Also Mafuyu has the best event songs) also her voice is so haunting. Like her cutlery cover just sounds very haunting. I'm sorry but that's the best way to describe her voice. It's soft and haunting. However that doesn't mean it doesn't have power. Ussewa and bug are two prime examples of this. It starts off soft but changes to powerful and it's so good

8. Saki Tenma

Saki's voice is so unique to everyone else's! Or at least I find that to be the case. (also has the best event songs) and her from Tokyo has so much energy it's like sunshine and rainbows and makes me want to cry in a good way. Her voice is sunshine and she does this thing with her voice making everything sound so clear and lovely. I just love her voice, she doesn't have a bad cover. Also I find her teratera cover interesting because I think (?) It's not supposed to be a happy song but the way she sings it is like, the way you'd sing a happy song but doesn't have the emotion behind it. Lmao sorry that's weird

7. Shiho Hinomori

I love Shiho's voice. No bad covers. She has a very strong voice that's low most of the time but can go high. And yes I like her Stella cover. But her kagerou daze cover is amazing and her cover of lost ones weeping as well. I like her voice and I know why people want her to be the main vocalist of Leo/need.

6. Ichika Hoshino

Listening to six trillion years and overnight story as I type this. Ichika slayed actually. She sang fast and clearly and her voice is very pleasant to the ears. She it's "nothing special" but I like it a lot. Sure her voice was high in lost one's weeping and bokura mada underground but I still think it's good. Also her night sky patrol of tomorrow cover was absolutely amazing

5. An Shiraishi

I've loved her voice since forever. Her beat eater cover was fire (and made me extra gay) her Odo cover is everything and i love how she sounds in machi, beat eater, awake now, hitsuji ga ippiki just I love her singing voice it's so An. It's unique, it's good, it's power just <3 and how she sounds in pheles is everything. So much so any time the bad dogs cover anything, my immediate reaction is "It would be better if An sang." I hate to not put her higher however this is top five and I can't have that much character bias. I do have VA bias tho lol. Jiena's cover of ifuudoudou also made me gayer lol.

4. Ena Shinonome

I love her voice and Va. I love her belting in infinitely grey, I love the way she sounds in MKDR and her lower alt is amazing. Ena is an singer and that's way she's so high (and bonus points because I like Minori Suzuki's junky night town cover) also Ena sounds good with everyone

3. Shizuku Hinomori

Shizuku's voice is soft and elegant. The best way I can describe it is her wedding card. I was debating on whether or not Shizuku should be here or Haruka, but I decided Haruka because her voice is stronger, she's clearer. I also find she has greater range and her voice is grounded. Like Shizuku she can sound cute, powerful, emotional, beautiful. Also her If alt vocal is everything to me. But yeah, I think Haruka only sounds slightly better than Shizuku

Mizuki Akiyama

Mizuki is every positive thing I've said about Haruka but like, 10x better. Mizuki is easy to hear, understand and they sound fucking amazing. They can do soft like Kanadetomosusora and give me your night. They can sing fast like in venom and they sound both masculine and feminine like in lower. Also their ussewa alt went SO hard. they sang so well in venom with and without Ena. Also their high notes. Example? Otome dissection. Bocca Della verita. No matter what they sing they sound amazing. Their voice is also very distinct. Tbh just listen to their venom alt it's so amazing

If you're ever upset, Tsukasa cheers you up in the best way he knows how - putting on a mini-play for you!

As a kid, Tsukasa always knew that he liked making you smile, but he also knew it was in a different way than the way he liked making Saki smile

The feelings were confusing to him as a child, and even as he grows up, they're still strange to him

Growing up beside him is certainly interesting, too

You get to watch him blossom into the loud, outgoing and confident person he is today!

You're always cheering him on and encouraging him as he seeks out a place to begin his journey of becoming a star!

Which he appreciates a lot! He's incredibly thankful for you and proudly declares you as his "#1 fan!"

There's something really special to Tsukasa about seeing your joyful face at the end of his shows, and knowing that he's the reason that you're smiling, fills him with a sort of happiness he can't describe

The rest of WxS are very quick to figure out that you two are totally head over heels for each other

The way you two would talk after shows - Tsukasa constantly trying to impress you while you laugh at his attempts, gazing at him with a pink-hued sparkle in your eye

They confront him about it, only to learn Tsukasa didn't even realise he was in love with you in the first place

He knows now, though! And he is incredibly determined to tell you his feelings!

Tsukasa would be lying if he said he wasn't at least a little nervous about your reaction to his confession, but he's already mentally planned out a very dramatic confession in his head and he doesn't want it to go to waste

And then Tsukasa tells Saki what he's planning, and she frantically tries to get him to tone it down

Eventually, instead of him performing a whole show for you with dramatic lights and everything, Saki manages to get him to simply confess to you in a nice park nearby instead

She figured that you'd much prefer something less... flashy

And so Tsukasa takes you to that park, with his heart pounding in his chest

He'd never been one to worry too much, but here he is, thoughts racing through his head. What if you don't feel the same? Will it impact your friendship? Will you begin to like him less?

And then Tsukasa can't worry anymore, as you're asking him why he looks so worried, and if everything's okay

Tsukasa takes a deep breath and simply decides to tell you his feelings.

"We've known each other for such a long time, and you are one of the closest friends I have. I am incredibly grateful to have you in my life. I really appreciate your company and... I have begun to fall for you, too. You're such a wonderful person, and the way you've been so supportive of me, I simply can't help but feel this way. I... I love you a lot."

Why This Fucking Rules Actually:

- echoing tsukasa’s first character arc (focused on himself & what he stands to gain from wxs and emu/nene/rui -> growing to care about them as his friends & being willing to give up the commercial chance/lose the show contest for the WMS show). It’s the selfish & selfless aspects of his character we see over and over again. Tsukasa *is* egotistical and selfish. Sorry! I’m right. A lot of what he does is self serving & he tends to focus on himself. He’s just also capable of being very selfless. Which in turn benefits him. & This isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

He loves & desires attention and fame. He wants to use that attention and fame to make other people happy. He wants it to be *him* (& wxs) making other people happy because it comes with attention and fame. He wants to put on good shows because it gives him what he wants and he enjoys it. He’s responsible and helpful and kind to others because that is what his idea of a star is, and because he likes being viewed that way and the gratification that comes from it. He compromises and gives up what he wants and does things for others because that’s what a star would do, so that is what he will do. He is selfless because he is selfish. He is selfish so that he can be selfless. He is a fascinating critter & a paradox of a man.

That being said, the one person he consistently values over all else, above shows & fame, has always been Saki. Tsukasa “the grind never stops” “tried to go to an acting gig with food poisoning when he couldn’t make it out the door without collapsing” Tenma skips practice when she’s sick. Rui (+ nene iirc) is shocked that he’s actually a really good older brother (twilight musical parade). He wants her to be happy more than anything. Saki is the most important person in his life. She’s his number one fan & centric to his first step towards improving at acting (torpe event) for a reason. He would not be who he is, where he is, or have his current goal & motivations without her.

Before he wanted to be a star he wanted to be a good big brother, & being a good big brother is so important to him that it has essentially been baked into what his idea of a star *is*. It has quite literally shaped his entire personality. It’s natural enough to him that even as someone who loves to be praised he will go “? That’s just normal though I’m not doing much” when Saki or Toya comment on it (his SOAD 2*, Akito’s initial 3*, Toya’s doll festival 4*, etc).

Tsukasa’s fragment sekai is based on a book he read with Saki when they were kids. It’s about a brother doing The Most to make his sister happy. He goes into the situation thinking about acting by trying to figure out the weird expression on Hiro’s face, & finds out it’s an expression near tears that is only weird because Hiro never shows it to his little sister. Tsukasa spends his time in the fragment sekai helping Hiro be a good older brother. His last words to Hiro are praising Hiro for all he’s done and encouraging him. & tsukasa does figure out what he was trying to figure out! But that’s less important to both the viewer and Tsukasa than helping Hiro.

Nene, Rui, and Emu’s fragment sekai were about their dreams & what they value most - Nene wants to be on Broadway and grow with her friends by her side, Rui wants to put on incredible shows and continue to be with the people who accepted him, Emu wants to carry on her grandpa’s legacy and make him proud (and I think it was deliberate to release emu+tsukasa’s fragment sekai cards together given that saki is to tsukasa what emu’s grandpa is to her).

Just as you can’t separate Tsukasa’s character from Saki, you can’t separate his goal of becoming a better actor and future star from his goal of being a good big brother. His relationship to Saki was the catalyst for his dream, & that’s pretty clearly why they chose to make his fragment sekai reflect this. They’re emphasizing one of the most crucial and often overlooked parts of his character. And it was a fantastic decision.

Mafumom is still as bad as she is in the main story, Mafuyu lied to hell and back in order to be in WxS, it's a constant struggle for them. Mafuyu in the swap AU is a lot more assertive though.

Ichika practices singing with An, because I don't think swap!Nene would have the confidence to teach another person. Maybe way later? I can imagine Ichika being a Deep Sea Diva fan too.

Rin and Miku act like funky siblings in the AU. Miku absolutely adores Rin and follows her around, while Rin is always like "Ugh, Miku leave me alone, stop giving me snacks >:T, if you push on my swing it's over for you!!", but deep down they care a lot about Miku. They tease Miku a lot though, like a mischievous older sibling.

Mizuki joined WxS for Rui's sake because he wouldn't budge at Mafuyu's invitation so they got frustrated. Essentially Rui was in an awful state mentally during his first year of high school (and Mizuki's third year of middle school). They passed by each other a few months after Rui's graduation and Mizuki went "my god you live like this??". They stuck around as Rui's "assistant" just to make sure he doesn't pass away at the tender age of 16, while still figuring out their own turmoil. Yes yes, Mizurui the lonely besties with trust issues learning about companionship via becoming clowns love that for them.

More assorted Headcanons, mainly because I'm in a Foul mood, due to circumstances.

Honami Mochizuki-

She used to make tons of Dragon characters, tons upon tons, She ended up making one for each Leo/Need Member, Tsukasa and Shizuku, It's a memory that she holds dear, but also haunts her.

She wants to bake something with Ena and Mizuki for Kanade, She heard somewhere (from Kohane) that a certain lad had a Sibling who was great with ingredients.

She can play more than just the drums, but she is self conscious of these, like the Xylophone, or the cymbal.

She met the entirety of VBS when Kohane took them to Phoenix Wonderland, she was going with Saki and Emu when they crossed paths.

She actually gets on quite well with Akito, her mellow nature somehow cancelling him out in an odd turn of events, he can't really get that mad at her, because she doesn't really do anything wrong to his knowledge.

As a result of drumming, sometimes, she taps on her desk, loudly, only at home, but it's a hard habit to break.

She can't stand dirty air. It makes her feel all clogged up and like she's burning up, she also gets this odd dry and weak sensation whenever situations become chaotic.

As much as she tries to keep up eye contact with Mafuyu, something about the latter makes that somewhat hard.

She like she same British TV station Mizuki watches, sometimes Mizuki hears her in the back of Nightcord calls and makes jokes from the station.

She actually adores dark fantasy novels nowadays, and she has a treasure trove of them in her room, she lends them to Saki or Ichika, but even Shiho asks to take a look sometimes.

She doesn't know why, but Tsukasa taught her how to show fight with a sword prop, and she kinda grew to love messing around with him when the others are busy.

Very occasionally, if Tsukasa or Rui is Sick, she's called in to take their place, her line delivery tends to have a more gentle side to it, but... she never seems to falter and is actually really capable at it.

Sometimes she gets nightmares about evil cheese. She can't explain it, but she is literally unable to sleep after those nights.

Tsukasa Tenma-

While he does want to become a star, if something happens, he's got a backup, he wants to sell little Handicraft toys, whenever he's asked to, or is really stressed, he makes these adorable little things, and gives them to his friends, Saki at least owns 30 now.

He likes to teach people how to show fight with the prop swords, it helps him clear his mind and just have some good, active fun with friends.

He doesn't weigh too much, he's not underweight or anything, he just happens to be a little small in that aspect, and it's no health complication.

His height doesn't bother him as much as it did before, infact, he takes advantage of it a little, often using it to reach the dreaded low draw, the one no tall person can reach well.

He isn't too spacially aware, he trips over things easily, and it has been tested (and proven) that he can actually have the cartoon banana trick used on him.

If you ask him, he'll say he doesn't remember, and that's only partially the truth, but he knows every little bit of internet slang there has been, the good the bad, the okay.

Nene made a WxS minecraft server once, as expected, he was the first to die. It was to a pit.

He's died 274 times in that server, his first to a pit, but his most frequent, to panicking when seeing or hearing spiders and running into danger.

His favourite colour changes basically every few hours, but he always answers a warmer colour.

He owns a Garfield phone, he uses it with ultimate pride, he loves it, and his sister bought it for him for his bday once, and he cried when he got it. It's his magnum opus of items.

On his phone, Leo/Need (other than Saki), Nene, Emu, Toya and Kohane are all called 'Extended family' and also numbered 1 through 7, Toya being Extended Family 1, and Kohane Being Extended Family 7.

Also Kohane is literally a massive fan of Phoenix Wonderland and Wonderlands x Showtime, she should be friends with them all! She is as far as I'm concerned and she's like another another little sister to him.

He also knows Ena a bit, from Akito, they met once when they both went mother's day shopping at the same store, they talked, and both happened to really be into the same manga at the time, so they have eachothers numbers and talk about it sometimes... he also follows her on Instagram, or whatever the equivalent is.

Assigning the Kagerou Project Songs to each group from Project Sekai

(VBS gets 1 less from everyone else because they have Yobanashi Deceive already)

Lost Time Memory: The style of songs I’ve been seeing in Leo is this kind of indie rock, songs with a lot of instrumentals and guitar, along with being on a more darker side. I feel like Lost Time Memory perfectly fits this description and wouldn’t be surprised if it gets assigned to them in the future.

Headphone Actor: Like LTM, this song fits the aesthetic of indie rock to a T, but I feel like the lyrics fit as well. With the song being about running towards a goal, discovering feelings, and: well honestly I don’t have anything else I just feel like the style fits and I like the song leave me alone

Toumei Answer: Another one I can’t really explain, it’s just a gut feeling. There’s not much I can put here, I just... I don’t know man I just feel like this song goes here

Summertime Record: I love summertime record, way to much, and I love the voices of Leo/Need sooo.... (Jkjk this isn’t biasy I swear. Plus my favorite is wXs but no one asked), yet again, I feel like it’s the vibes here that makes me put this song here. Just the idea that the ending being with the beginning, if that makes since, I just... I goes here.

(There was going to be only 4 for each but I feel like I should give Fireworks at the Summers End an honorable mention here)

Kiseragi Attention:wow look at that the idol characters song goes in the idol group, who would have guessed. Well you know what, it fits. A group of girls who quit being idols, a song about a girl who’s an idol and hates the attention, It just feels perfect. Not to mention the vibes are fantastic

Yuukei Yesterday: listen, out of context, this song is nothing more than a cute song about a Tsundere wanting to tell her crush she likes him. And I feel like the up-beat vibes fit in with MORE MORE JUMP perfectly :) Also I mean- Airi-

Imagination Forest: I was debating putting in this song, with it being so plot heavy and since project Sekai shortens the songs, it may feel weird, especially since the song itself has very different vibes than the other MORE MORE JUMP songs, but I feel like if cut right, then it could be seen as a simple cute story song. Now I don’t think this would be a song to get a PV or be an Event Song, but more one of those songs that just appear in the shop that you vibe to occasionally.

Lost Day Hour: or as I call it, “summertime record but I don’t want to cry as hard.” I feel like this song is one of those where it sounds so chirpy and the music doesn’t fit the lyrics, and I feel like that works so well with MORE MORE JUMP, so uh yeah it’s here now. Shut up I never said this was going to be a good list.

Outer Science: I know, shocking. Okay okay sorry, I know a lot of people have said this before, but I mean come on. Outer Science in VBS, please. Let them scream the womb. Though my one thing is I don’t know who would sing it. I can’t imagine any VS other than IA singing this song, but I don’t want it to feel to similar to Yobanashi Deceive. Maybe a girls solo? Maybe a group song? I don’t know but I know it needs in.

Kagerou Days: Yes VBS gets both iconic songs I’m sorry but where else could a song about death go??/j I feel like VBS has the right vocal range to do this song justice, maybe make it into a duet for both Hibiya and Hiyori, though I don’t know if this is the type of song to get a MV or not, because while it technically has an official one, the fan made one is more well known and the official one could distract the player with the fast text.

Children Record: I have 3 main reasons. 1) VBS is a mixed gender group and so the lyrics “boys and girls.” Don’t feel as weird. 2) A rock-ish song about a group of people with powers with an aesthetic of street art and graffiti??? 3) Daze isn’t an option so this is my second best choice. (I would totally make them do Daze, they could do Daze so well and I would kill for it, hOwEvEr I don’t know how much it counts because it was originally sung by MARiA and the IA version is only a cover.

There’s no 4. They have Yobanashi Deceive

Otsukimi Recital: I was struggling with wXs, with both the group and Kagerou Project having such different vibes that it was hard to figure out what would go here, but I feel like this song is one that definitely belongs. While yes, it’s an idol song, it has the right about of cheerful vibes, those of wanting to make people happy, that I feel like it fits right in with the bright wonderland group.

Konoha’s State of the World: Okay listen, I know this song is really hecking dark, but you know what? wXs has some dark songs, so they can have some Konoha No Sekaijijou thank you very much. I feel like this could be a a Tenma, Rui and KAITO song, simply because I can’t see any of the girls singing this song.

Shonen Brave: Listen, a song about a scared boy who finds courage in helping a scared girl, thats what this song is (leaving out the whole eye powers and dying and medusa bits), and I feel like this could be a Rui and Nene song, since Rui had made the Nenerobo since she couldn’t talk to people, and the song is about finding courage, but then again I’m not all to familiar with the story so I could be wrong.

Imaginary Reload, Shissou World, or My Funny Weekend: I feel like either one of these songs has potential to be a wXs song, but I don’t really have any reasoning behind it, hense why there are 2 songs here but nothing else. Oops 

Jinzou Enemy: This song just screams 25-ji to me. The dark yet somehow hopeful lyrics, the dark aesthetic, I feel like this is the second most fitting song for this group (we’ll get to the first in a bit), and I also feel like this song is criminally underrated, so having it be reborn and covered would just be amazing in its own right. 

Additional Memory: Now the most fitting song for 25-ji is Additional Memory and I will not be taking criticism. The lyrics of Additional Memory talk about being trapped in some unknown world, being lost angry confused, and living with regrets. I am sorry but if that doesn’t just scream 25-ji then uh well I don’t know the story so don’t tell me and ruin my fun. I feel like the Daze and their Sekai have a lit of similarities in just vibes alone, so having a song that takes place in the daze feels just given. Please let them sing Additional Memory.

Ayano’s Theory of Happiness: Okay okay, I know this sounds weird. A song about sisterhood where only one character is a sibling and their relationship doesn’t mirror Ayano’s and her siblings at all, but here me out. I feel like them singing about these kinds of connections, songs about self sacrifice, regret and dreams, I just feel like it fits. I really have nothing else to say here.

I know I already used Lost Time Memory but you know what screw it I’m using it twice because I absolutely can. I feel like if Shintaro were to go in any group, he would be put right into 25-ji despite being a male and I think his song deserves to be mentioned here. I really don’t have much to say, other than Kanade is also a Hikikomori so she should get center.

Not really a 5, just briefly mentioning Marry’s fictional world here because I feel like I absolutely should.

Afterwords: This is 100 percent not a “songs that should be in project sekai” post. As you could see, a lot of the songs I had mentioned were based on vibes alone and don’t really fit. This post was simply me sorting Kagepro songs into Project Sekai because I thought it would be fun, and needed somewhere to put these thoughts I’ve been having. In conclusion, let 25-ji Night Chord de sing Additional Memory.
