 It was a normal day in the year 2040, I wanted to go to my office to finish some pendant tasks, so I hurried to take a bath, but I realized that the water failed to flow, so I freaked out and called the water utility company. Unfortunately, they informed me that water scarcity had reached a critical level, and they couldn't guarantee a quick fix.  Frustration invaded me as I hung up the phone.

In my office, while looking through archives I discovered an anonymous document that brought up a groundbreaking technology – a time machine capable of traveling to the past. In fact, after arduous research, I managed to unearth the machine's blueprints, including the key ingredient that powered it – a crystal known as "Agateluxium."

My determination to save the future led me to form an unlikely team composed by Dr. Ericka Kincaid, a scientist who could decipher the complex blueprints, and Antonio Rodriguez, a daring adventurer with a knack for acquiring rare resources and an entrepreneurial spirit. 

Antonio: I am willing to put all my effort in this mission.

Ericka: Me too, I can’t believe that our planet is running out of water.

We embarked on a risky journey to the year 2022, a time when water was still abundant. In addition, our time-traveling device transported us to an oasis where nature thrived. But we weren't here for tourism since we had to find a way to bring water-saving technologies back to our time.

 As we mingled with the locals, we introduced them to futuristic water-efficient devices and irrigation systems. The people were amazed by these innovations and eagerly adopted them, knowing that they could prevent the water crisis upcoming. However, we faced resistance from those who feared from embracing new ways of water management. so, we encountered heated debates and had to overcome bureaucratic obstacles.  Besides difficulties, we finally succeeded, and the timeline shifted as we returned to 2040.

Ericka: I am happy we achieved our goal, once-dying water sources were now teeming with life, and water scarcity wasn’t a problem anymore.

Antonio: It is incredible how we found a solution, not just for ourselves, but for the millions suffering from this crisis.

In conclusion, our journey through time has not only solved the water crisis but has also demonstrated the power of technology, and the human spirit to change the course of history. As we stood by a flowing tap, the gratitude of millions washed over us, so we realized that the struggle was worth it.

This isn’t a poem and this isn’t the place I’d usually post something so transparently glum but this is me. All softness and sweetness and sadness, smoked and hung out to dry in a web.
