hate to say this bc i sound like a whiny little bitch but holy fuck almost all western media about greek ppl is blatantly fucking racist lol. sorry but if mama mia was set in the caribbean or whatever it would be seen as extremely offensive! the native population of the island r nothing but props and comedic relief while having no actual place in the story!!

like i know its not that deep but fuck almost every single piece of media that features greek & cypriot ppl in aus/us/uk portrays us as stupid backwards villagers for "comedy" purposes (eg. big fat greek wedding, wog boy, nadjia in wwdits, stath lets flats etc.) the worst thing is that its greek people who r creating this shit like im sorry but getting the anglo saxons to laugh at u and ur culture is not the win u think it is guys.
