the way i originally started ofmd is interesting, too -- i started watching s1 as a pick me up during a very bad bout of depression, actually on the night that 1x09 and 1x10 dropped for the first time. i think i'd expected it to be similar in tone to wwdits, and was surprised that the show actually did take itself seriously; i actually quit that night in the middle of 1x04 because the scenes of stede being sad in his marriage were so depressing to me. but then!! that weekend, i got up and binged the rest of 1x04 -- significantly, finally getting to the part where ed and stede meet -- all the way through the finale. and then proceeded to lose my mind while listening to miles from nowhere for the rest of the summer

the vampire trio not loving & appreciating guillermo :((((((((

both nadja & laszlo calling guillermo ‘gizmo’ instead like p lease you’ve known him for ten yrs, that’s gotta be like at least a week in vampire time

nandor just sitting on top of guillermo’s legs--love that it’s canon that vampires in this universe have zero understanding of personal space

laszlo’s prolific... ‘acting’ career sure is something™ the wwdits universe continues to blur the line between actors playing vampires, vampires playing actors, & vampires playing vampires

not saying that this ep cemented how relatable guillermo is... but damn it really did akdjsdjs

nadja’s costume was A+++ like the horns & red glitter?? stunning, iconic, beautiful (as per usual) 

also props to her being like the only one of the trio who knows how to use a computer. tho given that she’s wearing glasses, does that mean vampirism doesn’t fix ur eyesight?? if not, i don’t want it

repurposing a chocolate fountain to make a blood fountain is a bold choice.....

nandor really went & licked blood off the floor of that store, didn’t he :/ that entire scene was so uncomfortable like pls either drink blood straight from a vein or get a cup,,, like sir ur practically ancient
