Hey I work at a Scholastic warehouse and while I was working I spotted a graphic novel about the CGI He man series and while I haven’t had time to read it (and probably won’t until it gets to the employee bookstore) I was able to flip through the pages to see it was about the champions from before the start of the series

Do you happen to know the title? Is it the one that's going to be released next month (February), or is it the one that's already available in some stores about finding Moss Man?

Also, I do have some very strong opinions about the only woman Preternian hero not having a real voice while all the other male heroes do.

Like, yeah, her character can speak. But when the audience can't understand her, its the same as not giving her a voice at all, and that rubbed me the wrong way.

In-universe the heroes should have made an effort to learn her language, and out of universe the creators should have just let her be understood by the audience, either with subtitles or having a character know her language and translate, or just have her speak freaking English like everybody else!

I do like the idea that not all the heroes come from the same culture or speak the same language. That's good world building.

I do not like the fact that the only character no one can understand is also the only woman.

Like, Revelation was doing so well with Teela, Adora, and Evil-Lyn being our dream team. Having the narrative be pushed by the women. It's the women that are the heroes and save the world. It's great!

Then they show us another woman hero and she's an incomprehensible joke. Bleh!

  Netflix has released the official trailer for Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1 and it looks like Kevin Smith and Co. pulled this one the fuck off. It features He-Man and Skeletor going ham and what appears to be a straight-up continuation of the original series from the 1980s. Hamill sounds awesome as Skeletor, and all of a sudden, we could have a best series of the year…

Third Row: Flying Fists He-Man, Battle Armor He-Man, Thunderpunch He-Man. Front Row: Filmation He-Man, King He-Man, Original He-Man, Prince Adam. (Some of the swords are custom Alkala power swords) I included Oo-Larr and Wundar as Oo-Larr is based on He-Mans early mini comic design and Wundar is based on a promo brown haired He-Man from the 80's. (I didn't include Vykron or Vikor cos I feel they were a few steps away from He-Man)

The sudden arrival of the unknown Mech, was quickly reported aboard the Wundar. With no guesses as to the origin or design of something which wasn’t any NERV mech they were aware of Misato ordered that someone should go and investigate the area. Shinji figured he should volunteer for this one. Within minutes an Eva was launched which held in it’s hand a ‘box’ for carrying personnel on and off the airship. 

The Eva Unit 1-V2, resembled Unit 1 in it’s design except for several minor changes in the armor’s color and thickness, Shinji set down the ‘box’.which opened to reveal truck in it’s middle driven by WILLE medic Sakura Suzuhara and containing several security men. 

“Wow… Sakura can you hear me? This thing doesn’t look anything like an Eva, I mean it doesn’t look like anything i’ve ever seen anywhere. I’m gonna try see if anyone’s inside, does it look like anyone’s out there?” Shinji asks over the intercom as he stares dumbfounded at Tiebreaker. 

“It looks like someone besides us attacking at the base, remember our orders you need to keep and eye on that thing and look after us down here if you’re in an Eva you need to keep to them.” Sakura replied with a word of caution.  

“Ah I am Pilot Ikari from the AAA Wunder, to the pilot of the… the unknown unit are you… I mean who on earth are you!?” Shinji shouts over the Eva’s speakers.   

Breaker continued to stay in his crouched position. It was indifferent to Shinji’s sudden intrusion but the nearby Unit 01 puts the mech on guard

“.....”

“....!?” Otto’s ears rings as he hears the unknown transmission, “I gotta have this number changed. Who is this? How did you get this frequency?” He asks out loud only to duck when Jeanne kicks a guard at him.

“What are you doing spacing out for?” Jeanne says blocking some bullets with her gun, “Keep your head in the game, man!”

“Someone’s calling me.” Otto says putting a hand to his ear, “I gotta go back to Breaker. What if he’s under attack?”

“I think your robot can handle himself.” Jeanne replies cutting down a nearby guard, “We still need to find whoever sent us here. You can’t just leave now!”
