Spring Festitales Fashion Show - Wula Feiyun

It's showtime! Feiyun is dressed in an older historical outfit for a healing dance that she had been planning to show off at the Festival. European Draconid regalia from the 1400s & 1500s: a white shirt parted in the middle with long sleeves like a kimono. This is coupled with a long, flowing skirt in blues, yellows and blacks with flowers representing healing embroidered on it. The peach-colored flowers embroidering the edges of the skirt are from a plant whose poison-healing berries represent cleansing the body of impurities. They are interwoven with cherry-like berries and their flowers which resemble cherry blossoms, which have a similar effect. Large blue almost triangle-shaped berries travel up the middle of the outfit; since they cure supernaturally-induced sleep, they represent a spiritual awakening. They are surrounded by fuschia and yellow flowers, which stand for overcoming adversity as well as healing injuries. She’s also wearing a Peng bird feather crest headdress, a tiara carved from antler bone and inlaid with sapphires, sporting peng-feather “wings” on each side of the head. It's not exactly what Draconids of the modern day would wear, but hey, she and her friends came here to Ren Faire this shit!

Legend states that if a human mates with a phoenix, they will burn while giving birth to their children. As a result, humans and other magical beings are prohibited from marrying to prevent such deaths. However, King Vu has married multiple humans, and they have all passed away during childbirth while bearing children for the king.

Note: The following woman passed away while giving birth to children for King Vu as part of her effort to protect their people. The women of the kingdom were attacked by a powerful enemy, prompting the queens and their subjects to seek refuge in the Phoenix Dragone. It is important to note that this is my own revision of the story, influenced by the Brothers Grimm and my own fantasy elements, so it may not align with the Disney version.

When I say the "remake" edition of Costa del Sol is offensive I do not mean that in a memey way--it is legitimately upsetting.

It's all the most obnoxious "wiki-waki hula-wula" stereotypes about Hawaii thrown into a pot, with hula consisting exclusively of the wave motion and how people there relentlessly say "hang loose". One might say "oh, it's just faaaantasy~" but you can't just ape the ~aesthetic~ of a place like this without treating it with respect.

I mean, the mayor's name is Kapono and looks like any uncle you'd see going about your day. You cannot just do this.

They could have had it remain a sleepy recreation of a Spanish costal village, but they just had to... make the whole thing loud. Try and make it some sort of grotesque version of Waikiki? I guess so it's more impressive and wacky...?

Everyone I know who has played Infinite Wealth or at least has seen a playthrough of it says that it's bang-on. So FFVII Re-whatever it is this time leaves an incredibly bad taste in my mouth. It's embarrassing.
