Soooooooo, Wubb had his 6 month appointment with Dr. Lindaman (#clubfoot specialist ). At His last appointment, 6 months ago lols, we got some good news that I was abit hesitant to share due to not wanting to jinx it. This time tho, I will share both pieces of great news!!!! 1 if things stay on course, Wubby will be out of all braces and such by 5 years old. 2 Today we were informed that Wubb no longer has to wear the #ponsettibrace or the AFO's (day braces)!!!!!!!!!! And his next appointment is a year from now :D We were oh so very relieved!!! ***it has been a nerve wracking & heartwrenching journey thus far. It is heartbreaking to hear Wubb cry his heart out almost every night when we put the braces on. Waiting & hopeing every 4-6 months that his feet will be progressing far enough for the next step. The ever-loomimg spectre of surgeries. Not to mention EVERY time we had to cast his feet, he would backslide on any progress he had made- speaking, colors, numbers, abcs, potty training, etc AND his behavior would deteriorate....and it just got worse as he got older and more mobile. And also the INTENSE meltdowns before, during and after the visits to Dr. Lindaman are not fun to put it mildly. He is normally mischeivious.....but he has always known (even as a baby) the week that he is going to his foot Dr. ,And that week sucks!!!! Todays meltdown was far more intense then I have ever seen(45 mins, which is UNHEARD OF for Wubb....a meltdown is 10 mins MAX. And then if I hold him it cuts the time in half....not today though) and he was borderline hysterical with fear in the x-ray room.*** Now on to : 1 Intensive potty training(it was really rough goin while he was in the braces)- we are almost there, 2 and getting him to quit being so resistent to REALLY talking(he understands most of what is said, and he talks- but his pronounciation is off..and he really prefers non verbal communication. So Iv gotten back into doing some creative digital work, and yep Wubbybear is gonna be the subject of quite a few lols I took a look back at my past work, and it hit me......I might pick a couple of subject models for aesthetic reasons....but honestly ALL of the people in my work are people that I absolutely treasure. Soooo, With all if this unsettled and chaotic energy flowing all around us right now (well for a few months now, but its really taken on an edgey quality that is particularly unpalatable) ,poor Wubbmeister has NOT been sleeping well AT ALL!! *subsequently Mama has not been sleeping well either* Sooooo #therapybath time , only this time instead of just the #peppermintessentialoil & #eucalyptus I added #ylangylang (for stress reduction) and #lemon (for abit of memlntal clarity). He seems to be doin better, and he is alot calmer. So, Nifty thing about Dennis's new schedule at DART (after hours CUT due to #covi̇d19 ) it allows him to be home early evening through midmorning which is awesome!!! Its nice having him home at night and its so much nicer that He is able to help out with Wubbster and spend quality time with him. And since embracing Wubbsters Nightowl tendencies(so Dada & Mama can do more Co-Teaching.......which seems to work much better then just one of us...not sure thats about but hey I will take it), he is a ton happier. Plus he is retaining info better. Wubbster is definitely the highlight of my day!! I ran him a #therapybath and dropped in a couple of glowsticks, which he loves!!!! So , The Wubbybear got his pic with #santa at the #jollyholidaylights , he was super squirmy and wanted to run everywhere...but he was alittle more aware of what was happening and was pretty perky about the idea.....annnnnnd he is as always ridiculously adorable (I might be a teensy bit biased)!!!!!!! Im SOOOOOO MUCH happier then I was at the start of this decade, due ENTIRELY to my Wubbybear and my Hubby. My Mom and I have reconciled, which is awesome as she is the most amazing #abuela that my baby Wubb could ever have! And I can WALK!!!! So ling as I am vigilant on my stretches and chiropractor visits *2011 saw me flat on my back in the back of my shop cause I couldnt move w/o excruciating pain- let aline get up my stairs. And the Shop......WOW!!!!!!! (We have also reconciled abit)Dad & I started this ride, he bailed in a HORRIBLE WAY when he found his new(at the time) lady love (starting some serious bad blood between us)and it almost tanked the shop- Dennis was my white knight in shining armour on that one. We buckled down, worked our asses off (multiple jobs and fairs and the shop) and pushed ourselves to where we are now. People thought we were loco(they were probably right lols) and some still do(definitely right lols), and now we also get alot of attitude that we are "RICH" & that it was so "EASY" for us- YEAH RIGHT!!!! We dont have alot of money *stares at bills and dies alittle inside*, in reality before I opened the brick & mortar I had waaaay more expendable cash! *facepalm* We DO make a ton of our own products, write/teach classes & articles, Vlog & Blog, hold Psychic fairs & open opportunites that we would have KILLED for at one time, we have helped alot of people. Through all of the Exhaustion, late nights, tears, wondering how we were gonna push through, crushing financial BS , health failures & misfires, and in general soul wrenching anxiety-stress-depression...........it hasnt been easy.....BUT MAN HAS IT BEEN FULFILLING!!!!! Ahhhhhh, A nice & relaxing way to spend a Sunday night before a shower and bedtime!!! Wubbster has been alittle congested (more then likely allergies), and so a peppermint & Eucalyptus bath with Mama is in order!!!!! Also Apple juice! So the antibiotics that I took to kill off the flu turned Bronchitis worked, but had a downside. Ahhhh , gotta love (insert extreme sarcasm here) when your toddler looks at you like your torturing him for no reason and cries pitieously(Im damnably impressed w his lung strength and persistence) -oh and fights like an alley cat while your strapping the braces on him- while your puting him in the brace to help fix his feet........siiiiiiigh!!!!!! Well at least he is not alone (I stay with him all night), I would hate to be stuck alone &unable to move my feet- so I make sure he doesnt have to go through it by himself. All I can do is hold him through it, and be happy the brace is working!!!!! P.s. So, Wubby update part 2 We had his 3 year check up, and Wubbster's ears are in great shape(a bit of wax ,but zero sign of ear infection or fluid!!!!!)and he is in the 99th percentile for both height(3' 3") & weight(51 lbs, almost all muscle) for boys his age. And completely healthy!!!! A friend suggested having Wubbster try some physical therapy for his feet, and reccomended Athletico. We met with miss Janelle(who was wonderful with Wubbs, and he loved all of the cool stuff there), and she gave us some practical pointers and good news. She is optimistic that she can help Wubbmeister avoid the foot surgery! *also, Wubb LOVES his rain boots!!!!! He seems to really like rain gear!
