I got to *that* part in Alternative and... holy shit, I felt something lile that was coming but the sheer horror of it shook me. I'm so glad I never saw *them* before (I remember when you compared them to the Laamu and it's spot on). Marimo-chan is absolutely the MVP. I love her even more now than before. I feel like... rather than looking to shock you, MuvLuv tears down walls one by one and keeps asking you if you'd move forward. It's a constant struggle of conviction. I'm captivated.

the intro arc of MLA is fantastic but once the rest of the story starts up, it comes in swinging.

heya! I did finish Trails in the Sky 1 and 2, and currently playing Zero and The 3rd (in Cold Steel I got to Legram before I decided to go back to the first one) DAMN was the end of 1 incredible and painful, and the end of 2 left me giddy and super super satisfied tbh I left SnK on hold for a long time but seeing you and others gush over it made me pick it up again, so thank you!!

Sora’s a bit overlooked since Cold Steel is flashier and well, better looking, the jump to full 3d did wonders but BY GOD are they good, imo playing them before cold steel makes the experience, references and events more enjoyable, though cold steel is still beginner friendly, glad you enjoyed it! And let me know how you do about Zero and Ao cuz they’re my favorite at the moment and having no one to talk about them is eating me

Hey! So I think I'm now halfway through Muv Luv Alternative (I'm at the incident with Sagiri) and WOW you weren't kidding. It's incredible how much these games make you question your purpose in the world. It's so engrossing I'm using every free minute I have to play it. The plot is so dense both politically and emotionally it leaves me super on-edge. I've yet to see a single BETA and they already terrify me. Thanks for a fantastic read! (btw, got any favorote characters besides Meiya & Yuuhi?)

i’m so glad you like it, the political intro arc of MLA is so good. marimo is a big fave, she’s team mama. i also like kei a lot too. there’s a scene you’ll get to eventually i wanna hear your thoughts on it. you’ll know it when you get to it but its a little off from where you are right now

well... I had to undig save files from 2016 but I finally finished one route of Muv Luv! Thanks for heaping praise on it, will definitely clear the rest now. Now I see why you say to play it all before the -event- (the emotional shift towards the end... oof)

the jump from muv luv to alternative is an even bigger shift so if you’re prone to deep depression i suggest taking multiple breaks while reading.

it’s not said outright but i believe its within his character to pull something like that. he’d rather strengthen ties with a dying family than give his rival family the potential in sakura.

shes a free servant like chacha but the event she’s in is kinda difficult and you dont get her til like 3/4 the way through iirc

i actually use most of them for either farming so solo fun stuff. arash,paul bunyan and spartacus for farming, shakespeare and mozart for pocket buff setups, kojiro and cursed arm for low star bossing fun as well. i wanna use mata hari more cause her 3rd skill is pretty insane. my fav is prob kojiro though
