Sparks Fly is officially 18 years old: history of a song that was almost lost & how fans saved it from being left in the vault
The night of Halloween 2006, a 16-year-old girl named Taylor Swift had just released her first album. To promote her music, she'd go wherever venues would call her to perform. On October 31st, it was Portland, Oregon's turn, where Taylor opened for Jake Owen in a bar called Duke's. Owen, a country singer who also debuted in 2006, was 25 at the time.
We can safely assume that Taylor was happy to meet Jake, as she wrote this on MySpace right after:
"Happy Halloween :-) Current mood: happy Happy Halloween! Iâm sitting at the airport in Portland, Oregon.. About to get on a red-eye flight (Oh yes, I just said red-eye. Meaning, all night. This should be interestingâŠ) to Toronto, Canada for another weekend of Rascal Flatts shows. Tonight was awesome. It was a show in Portland at a bar called Dukeâs, I opened up for Jake Owen. And a little back-story, Iâve had his album on repeat for the past couple of months.. Itâs an amazing album and I literally cannot stop listening to it. Iâve got every line memorized, and if you see me on a plane.. Chances are, Iâm listening to some song off that album, at a volume level thatâs probably going to cause long-term hearing damage someday. ANYWAY. I got to walk in on his sound check and meet him. Turns out heâs extremely cool, and had bought my album on iTunes. :-) And since I had to leave after one song of his set, he played my favorite song â8 Second Rideâ first. Which is another reason why heâs awesome. And just to let everyone know, YES, I did dress up for Halloween. Yes, I stood onstage in an angel costume with huge wings (that really conflicted with my guitar playing). And I convinced my two guitar players Todd and Kevin to put on those little headbands with the devil ears attached. Haha. Oh yeah, it was great. Itâs so awesome playing to a crowd and seeing some people who know the words to EVERY SONG! I love that the album is out, and I love that y'all are listening to it. You guys are so awesome, and I really appreciate all of your comments. I love you all so much. Thanks for everything."
The day Speak Now was announced, a known fan at the time revealed said that the song was written on November 2, 2006, so a couple of day after the Portland show.
The most incredible news is that "Sparks Fly" is going to be put on the album. That song is so incredible. Taylor wrote it on November 2, 2006, performed it live in Oroville on May 30, 2007, and now it is finally being released on October 25, 2010. Definitely a dream come true for Taylor fans worldwide! (X)
So on November 2, 2006 Taylor finished the first of the three known versions of a song called Sparks Fly. The first handwritten draft was showcased in a museum:
On April 6, 2007, Taylor premiered the song in her native Reading, Pennsylvania, and then sang it again on May 30th in Sacramento, CA. This version was recorded by the same fan that revelead the writing date and uploaded online, gaining traction among the fanbase.
youtube
This live features a very prominent banjo and different lyrics:
âYou stand there in front of meâ -> âyou stood there in front of meâ
âGet me with those brown eyes, babyâ -> âget me with those green eyes, babyâ
âTake your open hand and take me outâ -> âreach out open-handed and lead me outâ
âDim the paper lanternsâ -> âdonât need more paper lanternsâ
âThis night is the 31stâ -> âmy heart is beating fastâ
âSo letâs make it count now, babyâ -> âI could wait patientlyâ
âIâll run my fingersâ -> âI run my fingersâ
âAnd make no borderlinesâ -> âgonna strike this match tonightâ
âForgive me when I canât take in everything you areâ -> âand lead me up the staircaseâ
âYou kissed me like you meant it, I swear I saw sparksâ -> âIâd love to hate it, but you make it like a firework showâ
There was also an additional section: We stood at the gate (and you kiss me) / With the moon on your face / And youâll kiss me
In December 2007, People Magazine releases a special photoshoot for Taylor's 18th birthday, which features photos of her bedroom, including the infamous Mirror Tracklist, a very early tracklist for her then-unnamed sophomore album. The tracklist inlcudes Sparks Fly as the 6th track.
As we know, Sparks Fly ended up being dropped from Fearless and shelved. We actually don't know whether the song was recorded or not, although some sources say that it was, but ended up being excluded in favour of The Way I Loved You.
Throughout the Fearless era, the fans didn't forget about the live version of Sparks Fly. On June 13th, after Taylor premiered the song Mine, Taylor hosted a 13-hour meet & greet, where one of the most asked questions was what happened to Sparks Fly:
â'Sparks Fly' is a song I wrote a few years ago and played in concert. You guys have learned it and I think like it, which makes me really happy. When we did the 13-hour Meet and Greet at the CMA Fest, there was a comment I got over and over again. You guys were saying, 'So what about 'Sparks Fly?' Is it going to be on the next record? [...] I played that song at maybe one or two shows, and you guys just jumped on it and really made it something that I had to put on the album because you really showed interest in it.â
That week Taylor finished Speak Now, completing the last song (The Story Of Us) on the 16th, but taking into consideration what the fans had asked her, she went back to Sparks Fly, changing the lyrics one last time, especially the second verse:
First verse: You say my name for the first time, baby, and I fall in love in an empty bar -> Youâre the kind of reckless that should send me runninâ, but I kinda know that I wonât get far.
Second verse: So reach out open-handed and lead me out to that floor / I donât need more paper lanterns / Take me down, baby / Bring on the movie score / âCause my heart is beating fast and you are beautiful / And I could wait patiently, but I really wish you would... -> My mind forgets to remind me youâre a bad idea / You touch me once and itâs really somethinâ / You find Iâm even better than you imagined I would be / Iâm on my guard for the rest of the world / But with you, I know itâs no good / And I could wait patiently, but I really wish you wouldâŠ
Bridge: Just keep your beautiful eyes on me / Gonna strike this match tonight / And lead me up the staircase / Won't you whisper soft and slow / Iâd love to hate it, but you make it like a firework show -> Just keep on keepinâ your eyes on me, itâs just wrong enough to make it feel right / And lead me up the staircase / Won't you whisper soft and slow / I'm captivated by you, baby Iâm captivated by you baby, like a fireworks show.
I think that the line "I'm on my guard from the rest of the world" from Sparks Fly being written after "And you figure out why I'm guarded" from Mine is very telling of what Taylor was going through in her personal life.
Once the album was out, the secret code hidden in the song lyrics spelled: âPortland, ORâ. The secret message seemed to confirm the theories that had followed the song all summer.
In July 2023, Jake Owen commented on being the ispiration behind the song: âItâs a great song and the speculation has always been funny to me. Iâm sure Taylor probably laughs at it all too, but Iâm happy to even have my name in the discussion around it. Sheâs an amazing girl and an amazing artist. Itâs been incredible to see how sheâs grown as a musician and what a global phenomenon sheâs become.â
To me, Sparks Fly is a signature song of hers. Classic Swift story telling, sprinkled with teenage dreams in an euphoric rock production. It's really cool to see how fans played a fundamental role to save this song from oblivion. Can you imagine our reaction if we had got this song in the Fearless Vault or the Speak Now Vault?

Having spent the night together, Hyuk finds himself laying next to Joon, fingers tracing the surface of his chest whereas eyes shift from joon's face to his own fingers. He didn't quite imagine himself in such a setting, but then again, Hyuk has never taken the time to picture himself with anyone. A life of solitude has always been an open option to him, and yet here he was, nestled against someone who... saw him.
Shifting in his small bed, Hyuk soon straddles Joon, hands trailing the man's chest.
"What do you see in me?" Hyuk asks, genuinely wondering what had managed to catch his eye. "I used to have feelings for you during our younger days, but I never had the chance to get to know you like that..."
it was surprisingly easy for joonwoong to feel comfortable like that after so long of being alone, with having his arm wrapped around hyuk as their bodies were pressed close together, skin against skin. for a moment, he closed his eyes, as if he felt so at peace that he could simply fall asleep â but the motion of hyukâs fingers on his bare chest and the feeling of the otherâs warmth against him coaxed his eyelids open once more, fondness clear on them as he looked down at the man he was sharing the bed with.        the way he moved to straddle him came as a surprise, but joonwoong said nothing about it and simply positioned himself to look up at hyuk, a hand moving to rest gingerly on his waist, thumb drawing circles on it. this was a difficult question to answer, but he wanted to answer it nonetheless. â i donât think i can answer that very directly or objectively. â he warned in a lighthearted and gentle tone before continuing.  â but there was just something that drew me to you. i think youâre beautiful, in more ways than one. youâre funny and smart and just⊠beautiful. you really bloom when you get comfortable. â        with a hum, joonwoong reached out with his other hand to brush a strand of hair that had stuck to hyukâs forehead away from his features. â i was⊠in a different place in my life back then. â when they had met, back when joonwoong was still a trainee, he was very much in love with his ex-fiancee, unable to see anyone else the way he saw him. however, things changed over the years â but by the time they did, hyuk was no longer such a constant presence in his life. â i suppose it was a case of bad timing. â  he continued, letting his fingers brush gently against his cheek.  â more importantly, i just feel like iâm at home when iâm with you. youâre the person i go to rest and recharge away from the chaos that is the rest of my life, like an oasis⊠â cupping his jaw, joonwoong tugged him down to press their lips together in a brief kiss, but kept their faces close even as the kiss parted. â youâre exactly what i need, hyuk. â

Astrological timeline of your life: Your whole life through astrology
paid readings open
support me on ko-fi :)
This post maybe boring for most people, but this is likely to help you understand, why do we have such similar things going on for us around similar ages. Why we feel lost in our 20s, and why do we feel happier in our 30s. While I discuss the natal transits going through different ages, I would recommend personalizing by seeing the sign and placement of each of the ages. Below is a chart I made for a quick look into this timeline, while I would elaborate further :)
Please note I can go into a lot of depth and details for each of these natal transits, however, it would be utterly long and writing it in a single post would be overwhelming for my fingers and you, both :D
This was a pretty long typing, and I hope this is informative :)

Childhood Years
Ages 7-8: One of the first significant astrological events in your life occurs around the age of 7 or 8, when you experience what's known as the opening Saturn square. This event takes place when Saturn forms a 90° angle from its position at your birth, marking a crucial moment of growth and self-realization. Saturn, a planet associated with boundaries and reality, brings about a lesson or challenge that requires integration. Around this age, you begin to see yourself as an individual, distinct from your parents and guardians, which can be both daunting and necessary for personal development. You might find yourself facing fears like shyness or a longing for parental presence, but overcoming these feelings is key to maturing.
It's worth noting that this opening Saturn square is not a one-time event. It recurs around the ages of 36 or 37, 66 or 67, and 96 or 97, each time serving as a reminder to push past new limits and grow stronger in the process. These moments also offer insights into the unique qualities of your natal Saturn placement, helping you understand where you should focus your efforts and energy.
Age 9: At around 9 years old, you encounter another pivotal astrological moment called the nodal opposition. This event occurs when the Moonâs nodes move to the opposite positions from where they were at your birth, symbolizing a midpoint in your journey of pursuing and letting go of certain goals. During this time, your priorities begin to shift subtly. You might start forming more complex relationships outside of your immediate family, seeking new connections and experiences. Itâs also a period where you might become more conscious of your appearance and begin to care more about how others perceive you.
Nodal oppositions happen every nine years, so youâll encounter this process again around ages 27, 45, 63, 81, and 99. Each time, youâll reach a significant turning point in your life, reevaluating what you desire and what youâre ready to release, leading to deeper self-understanding.
Teen and Twenties
Age 12: Every 12 years, most girls experience puberty and everyone is about to enter teenage, here you experience your Jupiter return, a time when the planet of growth and wisdom returns to its original position in your birth chart. This is a period marked by a sense of protection and fearlessness. Itâs when you might take bold risks, feeling almost invincible. Jupiter returns often coincide with physical growth spurts and the onset of puberty, marking a transition into new phases of life. You are literally expanding and you believe anything is possible!
These Jupiter returns occur again around ages 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, and 96, each time bringing a renewed sense of confidence and an opportunity for expansion in various aspects of your life. Each return also deepens your understanding of your natal Jupiter placement, allowing you to recognize the joy, wisdom, and abundance you're meant to embrace and share.
Age 14: Around age 14, you go through a Saturn opposition, where Saturn is 180° from its natal position. This period is often associated with the full onset of puberty and the emotional and mental challenges that come with it. Saturn can stir up feelings of insecurity, making this a time when you might struggle with self-esteem, anxiety, or the pressures of school. However, itâs also a time when you start to think more deeply and understand the consequences of your actions, helping you prepare for adulthood.
Saturn oppositions happen again around ages 44 and 74, bringing new opportunities to reflect on and learn from the choices you've made. These periods challenge you to grow, ultimately building your resilience for the future.
Ages 18-19: As you approach adulthood, another significant astrological event occurs: the nodal return, when the lunar nodes return to their starting positions in your birth chart. This happens around ages 18 and 19 and symbolizes a moment of alignment with your lifeâs mission. Itâs a time when many people leave home, start college, or begin their careers, marking the transition into new chapters of independence. The North Node return brings new desires and goals, while the South Node return encourages letting go of what no longer serves you.
Nodal returns happen again around ages 36, 54, 72, and 90, each time encouraging you to reassess your values and focus on what truly matters in your life.
Ages 21-22: As you reach your early twenties, you experience a closing Saturn square, the final challenge before Saturn completes its 30-year journey around the zodiac. This period often coincides with significant life transitions, such as finishing college and entering the workforce, or reevaluating your career path if you didnât attend college. This is a time when you face new challenges that test your determination and resilience, but overcoming them helps you grow stronger and more capable.
Youâll encounter closing Saturn squares again around ages 49-50 and 79-80, each time presenting opportunities to refine your boundaries, commitments, and passions in preparation for your next Saturn return.
Around the same age, you also experience your opening Uranus square, a time of liberation and self-expression. Uranus is associated with breaking free from societal norms, and this period encourages you to embrace your unique interests and passions, even if they were previously hidden. This is a time to explore your individuality and enjoy the freedom that comes with it.
Age 24: At 24, you enter your second Jupiter return, a time of renewed confidence and exploration. This period is marked by a sense of independence and optimism about the future, even if you still have some insecurities. Itâs a time to embrace new opportunities and continue growing as an individual. This is why maybe I often see people wanting to a buy home by 24-25 or even get married by time, and this is often done without realizing, since Jupiter here is seeking abundance is every form.
Ages 28-30: The famous Saturn return occurs between ages 28 and 30, a period when Saturn returns to its natal position in your birth chart. This is often seen as a time of maturity and taking on new responsibilities. Whether it's starting a family, advancing in your career, or planning for the future, this period is about embracing adulthood and the challenges that come with it. The lessons learned during your Saturn return lay the foundation for the next stages of your life. This is why 30s are significantly easier for most people.
Your second Saturn return occurs around ages 58-60, and a third may happen around ages 88-90. Each Saturn return builds upon the last, helping you grow stronger and more confident in your path.
Thirties
Ages 36-37: After the significant milestone of your Saturn return, your next major astrological event is the nodal return, which happens around age 36. This period is similar to the nodal return you experienced at 18, but now youâre likely to be more focused on your career, family, and long-term goals. Relationships become important this time, especially public relationships. Itâs a time to clarify your ambitions and make adjustments to align with your true desires. Many people make significant life decisions during this period, such as starting a family or changing careers. As we reach our late 30s, the farthest planets in the solar system â Neptune and Pluto â start arriving at the key stations in their orbits, beginning the so-called âmidlifeâ transits. Thereâs a big range here because Plutoâs transit through the signs is so variable
At the same time, youâll experience your second opening Saturn square, which tests the lessons you learned during your first Saturn return. If you havenât made the necessary adjustments in your life, this square will push you to do so, helping you stay on the right path.
Ages 36-42: As you enter your late thirties and early forties, youâll encounter some of the most profound astrological transits of your life. The first is the Pluto square, which occurs between the ages of 36 and 42. This period is marked by transformation and regeneration, as Pluto brings deep psychological challenges and the opportunity for rebirth. Itâs a time to confront your fears and embrace your inner power, often through introspective practices like therapy or meditation.
The second major transit during this time is the Neptune square, which happens around age 39 or 40. Neptuneâs influence can make this a confusing and uncertain period, where you might question your life choices and feel drawn to explore new paths. This is a time to reconnect with your dreams and passions, even if it means letting go of old identities or roles. The key is to stay open to possibilities and not force clear answers.
Forties
Age 42: All the introspection and questioning that occurs during your Neptune square leads to the Uranus opposition around age 42, often associated with the classic "midlife crisis." Uranus is the planet of change and rebellion, and this opposition encourages you to break free from any constraints that have been holding you back. Whether itâs a career change, a move, or a new lifestyle, this is a time to embrace your authenticity and pursue what truly makes you happy.
Age 44: Shortly after the Uranus opposition, youâll experience your next Saturn opposition around age 44. This period is a test of the lessons you learned during your first Saturn return, particularly in terms of your professional and personal life. Itâs a time to take stock of your health, relationships, and responsibilities, making necessary adjustments to ensure youâre on the right path.
Ages 49-50: As you approach 50, youâll go through your Chiron return, a period of healing and wisdom. Chiron, known as the "wounded healer," represents the areas of life where youâve experienced pain but also where youâve gained the most insight. During this time, youâll reflect on the challenges youâve faced and the wisdom youâve gained, possibly stepping into a mentorship role to share your knowledge with others. Our natal Chiron placement can reveal the area of life where we feel tender, but also where we unlock the greatest healing and wisdom. All of these themes are emphasized during your Chiron return.Â
Fifties
Ages 50-51: In your early fifties, youâll encounter a Saturn square, the final test before your second Saturn return at the end of the decade. This period is often associated with major life transitions, such as menopause, which bring their own challenges and opportunities for growth. Itâs a time to reassess your responsibilities and make tough choices that will support your future.
Age 54: Around age 54, youâll experience another nodal return, similar to the ones you had at 18 and 36. This period is a chance to realign with your lifeâs purpose and make adjustments to ensure youâre pursuing what truly matters to you. Many people use this time to focus on legacy-building, whether through their career, family, or community involvement.
Ages 57-59: In the late fifties, youâll encounter another Pluto square, bringing transformation and regeneration similar to what you experienced in your late thirties. This is a time to confront any unresolved issues and make deep, lasting changes in your life. Itâs also a period where you might face physical challenges, prompting you to take better care of your health.
Sixties and Beyond
Ages 58-60: Your second Saturn return occurs between ages 58 and 60, marking another major transition period in your life. Just as your first Saturn return helped you step into adulthood, your second return encourages you to embrace the wisdom and experience youâve gained over the years. Itâs a time to focus on what truly matters, letting go of what no longer serves you. Many people use this period to retire or shift their focus to more personal and fulfilling pursuits.
Age 63: Shortly after your Saturn return, youâll experience another nodal opposition around age 63, prompting you to reassess your goals and priorities once again. This is often a time when people reflect on their legacy and what they want to leave behind, making adjustments to ensure theyâre living in alignment with their values.
Ages 66-67: Your late sixties bring another Saturn square, similar to the one you experienced in your early thirties. This period tests the lessons youâve learned during your second Saturn return and encourages you to make any final adjustments before entering the later stages of life. Itâs also a time to focus on your health and well-being, ensuring youâre taking care of yourself for the years to come.
Age 72: Your early seventies bring another nodal return, encouraging you to reflect on your lifeâs journey and make any final adjustments to ensure youâre living in alignment with your true purpose. This is often a time of spiritual growth and wisdom, where you might focus more on your inner world and less on external achievements.
Age 74: Shortly after the nodal return, youâll experience your third Saturn opposition, similar to the ones you had in your forties and twenties. This period is a final test of the lessons youâve learned throughout your life, encouraging you to focus on your health, relationships, and responsibilities.
Ages 79-80: As you approach 80, youâll encounter another Saturn square, the final one before your third Saturn return in your late eighties. This period is a time of reflection and preparation, as you make any necessary adjustments to ensure youâre living in alignment with your values and goals.
Ages 81-84: Your early eighties bring another nodal opposition and nodal return, similar to the ones you experienced earlier in life. These periods encourage you to reflect on your journey and make any final adjustments to ensure youâre living in alignment with your true purpose.
Ages 88-90: Your third Saturn return occurs between ages 88 and 90, marking the final major transition of your life. This period is often associated with a sense of completion and fulfillment, as you reflect on the wisdom and experience youâve gained over the years. Itâs a time to focus on your inner world and spiritual growth, embracing the lessons youâve learned and the legacy youâve created.
Ages 96-97: Finally, around age 96 or 97, youâll experience another opening Saturn square, bringing your lifeâs journey full circle. This period is a time of reflection and completion, as you prepare to transition into the next stage of existence. Itâs a time to let go of any remaining attachments and embrace the wisdom and peace that comes with a life well-lived.

I have an alternate universe Buggy that's been ratallng around in my head. A female Buggy that's like Taylor Swift, so she got into music and wants to be a singer. She spent most of her time on the Oro building up her guitar and piano skills. She stole the guitar from the musician(was aware but let it happen) and begged Roger to get a piano. She didn't inherently have the greatest vocals and got teased, specifically by Shanks. Dreams of being in front of a crowd cheering her on and singing her songs. Those dreams are what drive her. It goes hand in hand with canon Buggyâs inferiority complex and constantly seeking attention to be a star.
The reason I can imagine it is because Buggy would be the kind to right the most unhinged lyrics that TS is known for. Also a lot of her lyrics reflect Buggy.
Mirrorball - And they called off the circus Burned the disco down When they sent home the horses And the rodeo clowns I'm still on that tightrope I'm still trying everything to get you laughing at me I'm still a believer but I don't know why I've never been a natural All I do is try, try, try I'm still on that trapeze I'm still trying everything To keep you looking at me
Me! - I know that I'm a handful, baby, uh I know I never think before I jump And you're the kind of guy the ladies want (And there's a lot of cool chicks out there) I know that I went psycho on the phone I never leave well enough alone And trouble's gonna follow where I go (And there's a lot of cool chicks out there)
Karma - âCause karma is my boyfriend Karma is a god Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend Karma's a relaxing thought Aren't you envious that for you it's not? Sweet like honey, karma is a cat Purring in my lap 'cause it loves me Flexing like a goddamn acrobat Me and karma vibe like that Ask me what I learned from all those years Ask me what I earned from all those tears Ask me why so many fade, but I'm still here (I'm still, I'm still here)
peace - Our coming-of-age has come and gone Suddenly the summer, it's clear I never had the courage of my convictions As long as danger is near And it's just around the corner, darling âCause it lives in me No, I could never give you peace
long story short - Fatefully I tried to pick my battles 'til the battle picked me Misery Like the war of words I shouted in my sleep And you passed right by I was in the alley, surrounded on all sides The knife cuts both ways If the shoe fits, walk in it 'til your high heels break
Never Grow Up - And no one's ever burned you Nothing's ever left you scarred And even though you want to Just try to never grow up
So here I am in my new apartment In a big city, they just dropped me off It's so much colder than I thought it would be So I tuck myself in and turn my nightlight on Wish I'd never grown up I wish I'd never grown up
Endgame - I hit you like, "Bang" We tried to forget it, but we just couldn't And I bury hatchets but I keep maps of where I put 'em Reputation precedes me, they told you I'm crazy I swear I don't love the drama, it loves me
The whole of Dear Reader and most of Anti Hero. New Romantics just sounds like a pirate anthem. So definitely something Buggy would write.
Here are the albums that would be about different exes. The exes that had a lasting impact on her.
Red Hair Shanks - Debut, Fearless, and Red
Donquixate Doflamongo - Speak Now, a little of Fearless and Red.
Charlotte Katakuri - Speak Now
Sir Crocodile - 1989ïżŒ
Sakazuki/Akainu -folklore, evermore
Dracula Mihawk - reputation, Lover, folklore, evermore
Midnights is a mix of them. Also she falls back in love with Mihawk and Crocodile after they form the Cross Guild.
Her exes have a hard time forgetting her and its made even worse by their enemies using the songs about them to torment them. It also doesn't help that their subordinates and families listen to her songs too. I'm still figuring out the timeline. Akainu happens before Mihawk but she is so hurt by him that she wasn't able to write any songs about him until much later.
None of this is a commentary on Taylor Swift or her personal life. Just my interpretations and how they'd fit.

so like every writer I have a bunch of ideas that i seem to not be able to finish. maybe a little motivation might push me. so these are some of my writing that are almost finished. if there is a specific fic that you want to see lmk and it'll probably give me the motivation to actually finish and publish.
unwritten rule - joe burrow x head coach's lil sister (rookie joe burrow is told the most famous unwritten rule, do not date the head coach's little sister, but he is famous for not listening) *needs to be heavily edited*
spoiled - lando norris x reader (based on lando eating expired chicken on max's stream. reader got the ick and decided to do something about it) *just needs to be edited! I'll probably post it soon*
soft spot - max verstappen x reader (for days reader has been waking up with knots in their back, max has a solution to her problems) *i have the dialogue just need the bones*
rock me - aew!cody rhodes x fem!reader (reader and cody used to be very close. years have passed and now he has his own promotion. what happens when they are reunited at double or nothing) *iffy about this one, an old fic*
fearless - kelly severide x firefighter!reader (being fearless leads to reckless actions) *old fic that can be edited and be ready to go*
in love - jamie benn x fem!reader (jamie was never a relationship guy, fulyl focusing on his career. you enter as a new member of the stars team who makes him rethink about relationships) *needs to be edited*
Okay my biggest self indulgent one is a full fledge story. It's a f1driver!oc. This one I love to work on but it's a very detailed story. character is fully written out (name, age, ethnicity, backstory, family) I didn't give her a romantic lead yet, she has 4 drivers pinning for her. The way I would release this is not in timeline order, just little blurbs here and there to build the story and imagines to progress the story. if you are interested in seeing this lmk. I always add new things everyday.

In another world/timeline/dimension/universe:
Mikey comes out of Donatellos lab, "Hey Guys, I just found something weird!" Donatello is annoyed at this. Leo and Raph decided to just watch incase they need to dodge a tool, or something.
"Mikey, how many times do I have to tell you, to stay out of my lab!?" Donatello says in exasperation.
"Well your computer is better to watch videos on, but that's not the point. I found something weird with your Computer," Mikey replies, "Let me show you!" He drags Donatello back into the lab, Leo and Raph follow behind out of curiosity.
Mikey pulls up a video on Donatellos computer. It showes a 3D model of Rise Leo, in blue swim trunks, blue crocs, his mask with long trans tails, and an unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt, playing a Beat Saber type game. He's singing along to the song and looks just a second away from dancing instead of playing the game.
"You found someone using a turtle model to play games? Is that it?" Donatello asks.
Mikey shakes his head and pulls out his phone, "No, I was like, 'I'm gonna subscribe, and watch more on my phone later.'" He opens Youtube on his phone and searches for the channel. "Only I can't find this channel, or any of the videos when searching on my phone, Dude!"
Mikey hands his phone to Donatello, to show a search page that doesn't show the channel on the computer, despite having typed in the exact name of the channel/video title.
"Mikey, did you accidentally connect to a different reality, through YouTube, on my computer?" The purple coded turtle asked slowly, while trying to process this odd discovery.
"And the video you chose to show us is an alternate Fearless? Why not their Raph?" Raphael asks a little annoyed but amused. Leo elbows him in the side, "Hey, you haven't said anything about this either!"
"Red doesn't stream very often," Mikey shrugs, before going to the channel to the Rad Angel playlist, "and alot of them are work out streams, so not as fun to watch." Now the screen is showing a 3D Rise Raph model in workout gear doing guided basic stretches. Raphael goes wide eyed at the site of the large spikey turtle in red.
Donatello moves Mikey out of the way, "I'm going to look this over to see if you did anything." Mikey lets out an annoyed shout, "I'm not fully blaming you Mikey, maybe something happened when those other turtles visited us last. Now kindly leave my lab, all of you!" He shoves them out of the lab, and locks the door behind them, before returning to the computer.
Donatello spends a few minutes, not really finding any problems or anything that would be harmful to his equipment. So he decides to binge his way through some of the videos and VODs. He'll tell his brothers it's safe, and perfectly fine to continue watching this...later, after taking lots of notes on this alternate reality were they are VTubers.
--------------------
Masterpost
This might, or might not be canon. If it is, well it's a way to introduce crossovers later. If not, well it's just a bit of fun writing.
I could not figure how to write Leo in this short, I don't know why.

Kaylor Swiftgron: Which Muse Inspired Which Songs on Red & 1989
On the precipice of 1989 TV's release and amidst the Kaylorification of 1989 TV's rollout, I thought it'd be a good time to figure out which muses aligned to which songs. I did my research, which includes: lyrical analysis & music video analysis, the timing of when songs were written, which producers and co-writers were credited to each song, social media posts, and where the girls were in real time. Shout out to @sophietv for her incredible work on the Kaylor timelines and evidence, and to @swiftgronmasterpost and @swiftgronmasterpost for their work to outline everything from Achele to Rivergron to Swiftgron. Round of applause to you both!!
Let's get into it!! (and if you want to just see my conclusions for which songs are about which muse, scroooolllll to the bottom)
The Red Muses
2011
Red was written in two phases. First, she worked with her producer from Speak Now & Fearless, Nathan Chapman. They wrote 25 songs together between February and October 2011. She took these songs to Scott Borchetta and he congratulated her on a finished album, but she wanted to experiment with other producers and writers to play with new sounds. So, after October 2011 she started working with a handful of other producers to write more tracks for Red. Here's a breakdown of Red songs by producer.
Nathan Chapman:
State of Grace
Red
All Too Well
I Almost Do
Stay, Stay, Stay
Sad Beautiful Tragic
Starlight
Begin Again
The Moment I Knew
Girl At Home
Martin & Shellback:
I Knew You Were Trouble
22
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
Message in a Bottle
Bhasker: Holy Ground
Wilson: Treacherous, Come Back...Be Here
Walker: Everything Has Changed
Lind & Bjorkland: The Very First Night
McKenna: I Bet You Think About Me
The first time we know for sure Dianna and Taylor interacted was on September 4th, 2011 at the Fairfax Flea Market, which implied that the songs Taylor wrote with Chapman weren't about Dianna.
Karlie and Taylor dated (I think) starting in the summer or early fall of 2011. I think they weren't expecting anything super serious, but it was one of those flirtations that starts out strong and feels good with them and all of the sudden you're in love and you barely believe it and feel ridiculous for knowing but you have a feeling this person is for you, maybe forever... It sounds right for Taylor who has admitted how fast & hard she tends to fall for people when she's in love.
Taylor attended the Rodarte Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show during NYFW and sat front row next to Anna Wintour on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Karlie walked in the show (slay). This was also the day that Taylor spent with a Vogue interviewer for her iconic January 2012 Vogue Cover and Article where she is quoted as saying "I love Karlie Kloss! I want to bake cookies with her!" She said this straight after leaving the Rodarte Fashion Show.
Interestingly, Karlie was quoted in a magazine as having been introduced to Taylor Swift at the Met Gala and they joked about baking cookies together! They both attended the Met Gala in May 2011, just four months before the Rodarte Fashion Show/Vogue Interview day! So it's pretty weird that Taylor would say the exact same thing, unprompted, when she saw a photo of Karlie Kloss at a fashion designer's studio on the exact same day she sat front row for a fashion show Karlie walked in!!
I imagine that Taylor and Karlie fell into something new and beautiful and sweet by accident. The Rodarte Show was on a Tuesday, maybe they met up for coffee the next day on Wednesday, September 14th in NYC? Who's to say!
All that said, I think Begin Again is about Karlie. It was written sometime between February and October 2011, which would've been a really, really fast turnaround for it to be about Dianna. Between the music video and the lyrical connections, it's very Kaylor coded. Starlight also could plausibly be about Karlie because they attended the Met together in 2010 and 2011, and their 2011 dresses were sparkly and tbh Karlie looked hot AF.
But, let's also remember that Taylor is on tour and just got herself out of two on-again-off-again, fairly toxic relationships, and as she said herself in Begin Again that the last 8 months she's been heartbroken and scared to get hurt from love (earliest would've been June 2010-February 2011 and latest would've been February-October 2011). Plus she's not even 22 years old, so she's not necessarily good at being in relationships yet. She's in a messy place, and she falls in love like a ton of bricks.
I think that this delicate, precious new thing with Karlie didn't work out (not for malice or hurting each other, just life) and over the winter they were distant but were still in contact.
2012
On January 17, 2012 we get tweets from BOTH Karlie and Dianna about the *iconic* Vogue article. This makes me think:
1. Karlie is still interested in exploring this new relationship with Taylor
2. Dianna and Taylor have kept in touch and have a lil something something going on, a little curiosity they might want to explore
3. Taylor likes public attention, and she likes feeling wanted, and she's got two hot ass women who want her. Do you blame the girl for being messy!?!
Dianna and Taylor attend the same pre-Oscars party on February 24th, 2012, and this is where I think Swiftgron starts to take off. Dianna is all happy and heart eyes online for the next three weeks until the Speak Now Tour ends. They're spotted together frequently in March and April. The Shirley MacLaine birthday party thing happens April 25th, Dianna's circus birthday party is April 28th, and I would bet anything they started hooking up sometime these first two months. I think Holy Ground was written about Dianna's birthday party, with the note on the door with the joke we made, and that was the first day.
Taylor writes Everything Has Changed and Run on May 15th, 2012, with Ed Sheeran, and records both EHC and The Last Time on May 28th, 2012. Everything Has Changed seems Swiftgron (thanks Gaylor twt for helping me figure out that the freckles are IN Dianna's green eyes bc girl bye I was full of questions). The Last Time is almost certainly about Liz.
But Run is very Kaylor coded! The pale blue eyes, use of darling, the laugh like a child (Begin Again), locket, picture frame...
On May 31st, 2012, Dianna is bearding hard with Henry Joost to distract from her appearance with GLAAD. I have a working hypothesis that Taylor Swift hates beards and is not a fan of having to use them or be with people who have them. I just don't think it works for her with how insanely famous she is, the guys are hyperscrutinized and she's honestly not very good at being a convincing heterosexual woman. I think there's some conflict between Taylor and Dianna because of the beard.
By June 10th, 2012, Taylor has written 22, WANEGBT, and IKYWT. I am inclined to believe that WANEGBT is about Emily or Liz. Same thing with IKYWT. 22 is about her besties and living life and being carefree and embracing all of the beauty and pain of falling in and out of love and everything that is your early 20s.
We get the whole Hyannis Port x Kennedys summer week of pap walks featuring Swiftgron all over the place! But it seems like they probably break up later in July. This was a hot and cold relationship for real.
WANEGBT is released on 8/13 and Dianna tweets at Taylor (like never ever?). On September 29, 2012 Dianna and Naya Rivera are on a cheeky, lil sexy vacation in Paris. Taylor goes to Paris that same weekend to film Begin Again at the Love Lock bridge (Karlie is also in Paris but there's no evidence to show that they saw each other at all).
However, I wouldn't put it past Taylor and Karlie to have seen each other while Swiftgron was cold. Perhaps in September 2012 right around when she filmed Begin Again?
October 17, 2012 Taylor writes This Love in LA according to her diary entries. So I think This Love is about the Swiftgron reconciliation for whatever happened this summer. Things are good for a bit, they go to the Ripple of Hope gala together on December 3rd, 2012. They're pictured together on December 6th, 2012 and Dianna's all cryptic online about her secret love.
Quick Aside: Karlie and Josh have been "officially together" ever since June 2012, but they were first seen together in November 2012 when they both attended the VS Fashion Show. I'm under the impression that these gay celebrities in their early twenties only needed a beard when they were in another relationship they were distracting away from. They didn't need a beard, they could just say they were focused on friends and their career (aka 1989 era). So who was Karlie dating in mid 2012 that needed to be covered up with plausible deniability? This would've been in the works for a bit before they launched it in November 2012.
Also, super interesting that Karlie also met Taylor for the "first time" at the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, hmm? Anywayssss.
2013
I think everything Swiftgron blew up on February 14th, 2013 with the 'I Do' episode of Glee where Dianna Agron and Naya Rivera hook up on screen. Taylor made a whole big deal about this episode containing one of her songs and encouraged her fans to watch, but her song wasn't in the show (tweet was later deleted). But picture this: Happy Valentine's Day, watch your girlfriend hook up with the girl she told you not to worry about!! And then learn that they actually did hookup when y'all were on a break, like two weeks before y'all got back together!! Oooh boy!! I'm pretty sure this was what inspired Babe (in the music video Taylor was the mistress, but IRL Taylor was the main character who got cheated on instead of the mistress!!).
Dianna is a mess on Twitter after that and there might have been about two months of back & forth, maybe some breakup sex, but I think Swiftgron died dead by the time the article about them secretly dating dropped on April 16th, 2013.
The Red tour started on March 18th, 2013 and I can't imagine that made things any easier for Swiftgron. Meanwhile... I think Karlie and Taylor re-reconnected in this time period.
The 1989 Muses
2013
Taylor wrote 1989 while on tour for Red (except for This Love, according to the diary entry it was written on 10/17/2012). I think the breakup songs are about Dianna and the love songs (excluding This Love) are allllll Karlie.
If Taylor and Karlie did reconnect in Fall 2012, then Spring 2013 would be a long six months later...
Taylor and Karlie "meet for the first time" (which we have so much proof that it's not but like, okay, fine) on November 13, 2013 at the Victoria's Secret Fashion show. We know this isn't their first meeting or flirtationship, but it certainly is their first public outing to test what people say about their friendship.
Then, I'd wager Taylor plays "cat & mouse for a month or two or three" until they officially are girlfriends on March 6, 2014. Yay!!!
Songs About Dianna:
Red: Holy Ground, Everything Has Changed, Come Back...Be Here, Better Man, Babe
1989: Clean, Wonderland, All You Had To Do Was Stay, I Wish You Would
Songs About Karlie:
Red: State of Grace, Treacherous, Stay, Stay, Stay, Starlight, Begin Again, Message in a Bottle, Run, The Very First Night
1989: Welcome to New York, Blank Space, Style, OOTW, Wildest Dreams, How You Get the Girl, I Know Places, You Are in Love, New Romantics

Clegan Olympics AU - Beacon
Beacon the therapy dog! USA Gymnastics Goodest Boy! From this ask
Takes place at U.S. Olympic Trials in June.
Find the rest of the Olympics AU here
Author's note: Since the Olympics are like a real thing now, I have a feeling I might start writing some extra little things for this AU outside of the "main timeline" I've developed. Like this. Or that massage gun scene. People wanted Beacon, so Beacon you will get. Iâm also giving Beacon a bigger role on the competition floor itself because itâs more fun that way.
I'll have to figure out a better way to put things like this into a masterpost.
Photo from goldendogbeacon on Instagram
---
Donât fuck it up. Donât fuck it up. Donât fuck it up.Â
Donât donât donât donât donâtÂ
Donât fuck this up John.Â
Breathe. Focus. Focus focus focusÂ
Hold yourself together. Donât think so much. Stop thinking so much.Â
Itâs just a normal meet. Nothing weird. Not at all. Youâre fine. Your leg will be fine. You wouldnât be here if it wasnât fine.Â
Under-rotate the landings if you have to and youâll be fine. Wear the brace even though it bruises the shit out of your shin. Small price to pay.Â
It doesnât hurt youâre being stupid you only have three events left youâre halfway done youâre doing fine itâs going to be okay stop thinking so damn much.Â
Donât.Â
Fuck.
Up.Â
Donât-
Buckyâs internal monologue is interrupted by something wet pressing against his arm. He glances down to see a moist black nose sniffing at him, nuzzling at his hand. Again.Â
Beacon. USA gymnastics certified good boy, their emotional support golden retriever who the entire team has fallen in love with. Heâs been making the rounds in between rotations, cheering up athletes and lightening the atmosphere of one of the most stressful days of the season: the fight for a ticket to Paris. The gymnasts play with the golden every chance they can get. Itâs only rotation 3 and already Curt has had to be half dragged to the apparatuses because he doesnât want to stop playing with the dog.Â
âThis is clearly more important,â he told their coach, who could do nothing but roll his eyes and gently shove Curt on to his next event.Â
Everyone can benefit from a therapy dog hanging out at the meet. But the dog in question seems to think Bucky, in particular, needs all the emotional support in the world.Â
Bucky huffs out a breath and feels his mouth attempt to lift into a shaky smile that falls immediately. He reaches a hand out to scratch Beacon on the head. Heâs sitting on the floor in the center of the stadium at Target Center, his left leg stretched out in front of him, awaiting the start of rotation 4. He canât decide if heâs actually starting to feel pain in his knee, or if itâs his mind playing tricks on him. Heâs been paranoid all day.Â
Itâs the U.S. gymnastics trials, a meet that Bucky didnât even think heâd be at six months ago. Itâs June, and he didnât even start tumbling on floor again until April. Didnât stick his first landing until just two months ago, and even then, most of the time it was onto a mat rather than onto the spring floor itself. The doctors warned him not to come back too soon. They told him he may never compete internationally again. They begged him not to do floor, at the very least, because of the pressure it puts on the lower body.
But heâs never been one to back down from what he believes he needs to do, no matter how sick to his stomach it makes him feel. So he didnât listen, and now he canât help but wonder if they were right.
He didnât decide to compete at Championships, much less Trials, until the eleventh hour when he could no longer stand the idea of missing out on the mere chance of competing in Paris just because he was scared.Â
Scared.Â
Ridiculous.Â
Scared is not something John Egan has ever felt about gymnastics. Fearless, they used to call him.Â
He supposes they still do, whoever they are. The commentators. His teammates. The whole country, if heâs feeling egoistic. They donât see the spiraling abyss that is his mind. All they see is the U.S. gymnastics poster boy who was counted out three months ago due to a catastrophic injury but crawled his way back up from the ashes with a blind determination to get back on top.Â
They can call him fearless if they want to. But sitting here, in the middle of the stadium, surrounded by other team USA hopefuls, he doesnât feel fearless at all. Heâs survived floor, pommel horse, and rings. He should be feeling more confident by now. He should be calming down the further into this competition he gets. But he finds the opposite to be true. His heart keeps beating too fast and he canât make it stop. Heâs twitchy. Heâs nervous. Heâs tense.Â
He hates it.Â
Maybe thatâs why Beacon the therapy dog keeps seeking him out in a gym full of other athletes who must be feeling nervous, too. Something about dogs being able to sense how youâre feeling, right? Maybe Johnâs anxiety is just that much more obvious.Â
Great. He went from being cocky, carefree, confident John Egan, USA gymnastics champion to being⊠well, an anxious mess of a comeback story who canât afford to let the world see how badly he wants to disappear at this moment. All they see is the smiles he gives the camera, the high scores he puts up on his events, and the way he walks around this stadium with his head held high like he already knows heâs back on top.Â
The dog, on the other hand, sees the way his heart is pounding too loud, the way his fingers twitch in his lap, the way he keeps trying to rub the tension out of his bad leg.Â
Bucky finds it funny that a dog can see right through him when no one else can. And yet, it works. As he pets the dog, he feels his heart calm down. The tension eases just the littlest bit out of his shoulders. Beacon nudges his hand again and lays down, crawling half into Buckyâs lap.Â
âYouâre a good boy,â Bucky says. He takes another deep breath.Â
âIs he bothering you?â Beaconâs owner asks, even though they know full well that Bucky must be freaking out a little if Beacon keeps returning to him. The dog always knows who needs him.Â
Bucky laughs shakily and shakes his head. âNo. No, not at all.â He runs his hand over Beaconâs soft hair, looking into the dogâs innocent brown eyes, which look right back at him. âActually, would it be okay if he stayed with me for a little bit?â
Beaconâs owner smiles at him and tells him of course thatâs okay. And so, leash in hand, Bucky finds himself with his own personal therapy dog for a little while. Every time he starts to feel nervous again, the dog knows. He starts licking Buckyâs hand or cuddling against him or booping him with his nose. And it always makes Bucky smile and take a deep breath.Â
âYouâre monopolizing the dog,â Curt tells him when he finishes on still rings and returns to Buckyâs side.Â
âHeâs mine now,â Bucky declares. Beacon nuzzles against his leg as if to prove the point. âHeâs my new bestie.â
Curt gasps dramatically as he reaches for his water bottle, pressing a hand over his heart. âIâve been replaced!â
âHeâs a hell of a lot cuter than you,â Bucky teases. The dog smiles when Bucky smiles, like making Bucky smile is a great achievement. Like heâs saying yes! Be happy! Good job!
Curt reaches down to pat the dog on the side. âWell weâre moving to vault, so youâre gonna have to give him up to the rest of us.â
Buckyâs vault goes off without a hitch, other than his brace slamming uncomfortably against his leg with every step as he sprints down the track. Itâs not the event that nearly ruined his life, but it puts his bad knee through more grief than any other event except maybe floor exercise. He nearly collapses after he sticks the landing out of pure relief, the adrenaline still coursing through his body and making his heart pound even as his leg feels like jell-o. He shakes himself out, wills the feeling to return to his leg, and slowly, carefully, hops down off the vault podium.Â
Before he can even sit down, Beacon is at his side, tail wagging excitedly as he smiles up at Bucky. âHey best friend,â Bucky chuckles. He eases himself down into a chair as one of his coaches kneels in front of him to help him get the brace off and set to work massaging his knee. The dog stays loyally at his side through the whole ordeal, his head resting on top of Buckyâs thigh.Â
âGot yourself a friend,â the coach says.Â
Bucky smiles, his breathing starting to return to normal. âSure do.â
â
After parallel bars, Curt and Croz pat him on the back and remind him that heâs almost done for the day. Heâs so close. Just one more rotation. Just high bar to go.Â
Just high bar.Â
Bucky feels like heâs moving in slow motion, slogging his way through reality with far too much effort as he smiles at his friends and walks back towards the chair he left his bag on. He only has one event left today. Just one. But itâs the one that almost ended his career.Â
Itâs the event that heâs been afraid of ever since. The one that he spent months retraining himself to do, just trying not to bail out of his release moves because of the fear he couldnât control. The one that made him scream in frustration and think about throwing in the towel because if he couldn't get past the damn mental block what was the point? As recently as the day before US Championships, he was still freaking out halfway through and letting himself tumble off the bar because his chest would seize up and his leg would throb and the world spinning around him would make him so dizzy he thought he might vomit.Â
It was a freak accident. Theoretically, he knows that. Itâs not something thatâs likely to ever happen to him again. But he is not in the business of luck at this point. Luck is an altar at which heâs never worshiped, and he sure as hell isnât going to now. Heâs forcing himself to accept the fact that shit could go south, and he has no control. All he can do is try his damned best to push himself through and do what heâs trained his entire life to do.Â
Itâs just another meet. Donât think about it too much.Â
He didnât start competing again until early May. At that point, he wasnât even doing every event. Hell, he wasnât even doing dismounts. On high bar, parallel bars, and still rings, heâd simply do his routine and then ease himself off the apparatus. Everyone in attendance, every athlete and every judge, would cheer so loudly for him anyways just because he was there. Just because he was doing it at all.Â
But that wonât fly here. Not if he wants trials to count. Not if he wants that ticket to Paris.Â
And he told himself yesterday that the win was being here. It didnât matter what happened. He got himself here, and that was what mattered. But itâs not enough anymore. Not now that heâs in this stadium, pushing himself through this competition with a dizzying mix of anxiety and pure, ferocious determination coursing through him. He wonât have won until heâs on a podium at the 2024 Olympics with a medal around his neck.Â
âYouâre so close, Bucky,â Curt is saying as he walks away from parallel bars. âWeâre almost done. We can do this.â
But itâs not his friends that break through the muffled underwater way heâs experiencing the world around him. Itâs a happy-go-lucky golden retriever.Â
Beacon breaks away from a group of other gymnasts when he sees Bucky walking towards him, and the other guys canât even be disappointed about it when they see the way Bucky collapses onto the ground and wraps his arms around the dog. Beacon licks his cheek and nuzzles at his ear, and Bucky hides his face against the soft fur, willing himself not to lose it. His chest feels tight. His leg is aching. Itâs not in his head, itâs real. And heâs trying not to let a dull but taunting pain, which historically he wouldâve pushed through no problem, pull him out of Olympic contention.Â
But the dog wonât leave his side. He knows what his job is, and he tries his best to take all the fear away in the time they have before Bucky starts the final rotation.Â
Stay calm, Bucky tells himself as he pats the dog on the head one more time before heading over to high bar.Â
Stop thinking so much, he tells himself as he adjusts his grips over his fingers and around his wrist.Â
Donât fuck it up, he tells himself as he rubs chalk over his hands.Â
And then his coach is lifting him to the bar and he doesnât have time to think anymore. Just do it. You can do it. You have to do it.Â
âYou got this!â Curt his yelling. âYouâre good! You got it!â
So Bucky takes a deep breath and pulls himself up, sends himself into his first giant, then his first release move. His second. His third.Â
He doesnât think. He lets himself fly through the air, lets his body do what it knows it has to do, and when he lands, he canât keep the grin off of his face as he yells out in triumph.Â
Itâs only his second time doing a full dismount off high bar in a competition since his accident. His second. And he stuck it. He did it. He fucking did it.Â
Now he just has to do it all again tomorrow.Â
As he hops off the high bar podium, overwhelmed with relief, Curt and Croz flank him on either side, cheering him on as he closes out day one of trials well in the lead. As he walks away from the last apparatus, though, his eyes find a happy golden retriever, staring right back at him. Beacon pulls against his ownerâs leash, and the owner lets go with a laugh, letting the dog charge at Bucky.Â
Bucky grins and drops to his good knee just in time for Beacon to barrel into his chest. Bucky scratches the dog all over, laughing as Beacon licks his face and wriggles around in his arms.Â
âYou gonna be my good luck charm?â Bucky asks. âYou gonna help me get to Paris?â The dog licks his nose in reply. âGood. Iâm gonna need you to help me through this.â
When asked what it took to get to the 2024 Olympics, Bucky will talk about the excruciating recovery process, the training, the frustrating days spent in the gym, the never ending support of his teammates and coaches. Heâll talk about everything it took to get to Trials alone. But then he will also always give credit to Beacon, USA certified good boy, because he honestly believes he wouldnât have made it through Trials without him.Â

Writing Of Fearless Timeline
DISCLAIMER: None is this is my opinion unless stated otherwise. Some dates might be wrong, I was not in the fandom when Fearless was released, I joined shortly after Fearless Platinum dropped. If you saw the rollout of the release, I'd love to hear your story!
Please credit me if you use this timeline!
Early 2005: Taylor has a writing session with the Warren Brothers. They write That's When.
[BMI Article from May 2005] âShe has written songs with a list of renowned writers including Troy Verges, Brett Beavers, and the Warren Brothers.â
[Alexa Skill for Taylor's Version] âThat's When is a song that I wrote with the Warren Brothers and it was really fun writing with them because they're just hilarious people in general and I remember it was a classic Nashville songwriting session: you sit around a room, you go to a publishing office, you sit around in a room, everybody's got guitars and we just kind of came up with this song about space and independence and what happens when two people love each other but one of them just needs to take a breather and think about it and what would happen if rather than saying "No, if you're not sure, then leave and I don't want to talk to you ever again", what would happen if the partner was like "Do what you need to do, I'm here and I'm sure that I want to be with you, so if you need to take some space then do it", and we're just kind of playing around with that idea and we came up with this song.â
It's also possible that That's When was written later (but before September 2005) and they wrote Long Time Going and Welcome Distraction first.
February 12, 2005: Taylor writes with Scooter Carusoe for the first time, but it's unclear if they wrote You All Over Me, or Thirteen Blocks or Pretty Words. Either way, You All Over Me was written in early 2005. Scooter produced the demo, which leaked in 2017.
Scott's email to Taylor's manager, Dan Dymtrow (thanks @backup-baby-backup for sending this to me!):
[Alexa Skill for Taylor's Version] âThe song You All Over Me is one that I wrote with a writer who goes by the name Scooter Carusoe, his name is Travis Hill. This was one of the songs that I remember us painstakingly going over the lyrics and trying to come up with all these different symbolic imagery references to how it could feel after you have your heart broken, just to feel like you've been ruined by the whole thing and I think that's one of the hardest things about heartbreak, this feeling like it's damaged you and now you carry that damage with you.â
Late 2005: Taylor writes Don't You with Tommy Lee James.
[Alexa Skill for Taylor's Version] âDon't You is a song that I wrote with Tommy Lee James, who's a fantastic writer. We wrote it about the idea of seeing someone that you used to have a thing for and seeing them out in public for the first time after you've heard that they've moved on and that you know your life is your life is kind of in shambles and they have moved on and they're really happy and it's almost like even them being nice to you hurts you because you're in such a state of pain and you haven't moved on yet, so that was a really fun song to write because that's just a well spring of emotion to draw from.â
[Tommy Lee James] âThe crazy thing about this song is that I remember writing with Taylor that day, and I remember her just being really sharp and smart. I knew I was writing a good song. And then normally, back then Iâd probably just do like a worktape or whatever, and I would throw it into my Garage Band on my computer just to save it and label it. But for some reason, I never labeled it correctly. And then, all of a sudden, Taylor comes out with âTim McGrawâ, and all of a sudden sheâs a star. My publisher at the time, sheâs going, âWhere is that song you wrote with Taylor!?â And I was likeâŠ'I cannot find it.'â
There are three demos of Don't You. Taylor only sings in a piano worktape, while other people sing on the other two. The IC owns these three demos since 2019. They bought them from Music Row. They described the worktape as: âA melancholic piano demo with haunting vocals, that have a sadness and longing to them, this was likely recorded in 2005, and was probably considered for the first album. Taylor runs into her ex and feels pain, because it brings back so many hard feelings and sad emotions, she feels that she still loves him and wonders why he doesnât feel the same way, she will try her best to go along to go on with her life.â
Somewhere in 2005: Taylor releases a digital EP called âMajorly Indie Demosâ. The tracklisting is unclear but the demos of Sweet Tea & God's Graces and We Were Happy were there.
There are two demos of We Were Happy, one acoustic worktape and one studio demo. Both of them have leaked.
One thing that I want to point out is that Majorly Indie was Arturo Buenahora's website. Buenahora is the executive who signed Taylor to music publisher Sony/ATV and introduced her to many songwriters, including Scooter Carusoe and Deric Ruttan. Buenahora left Sony/ATV and founded his own publishing house called Ole Majorly Indie, which then changed its name to Anthem Entertainment. This is Liz Rose's music publisher.
September 2006: Taylor writes Come In With The Rain.
Description of the Come In With the Rain Acoustic Demo: 4 min 03 sec. Simply Taylor and her acoustic guitar in this early demo recording. Passionate guitar playing during the breaks between vocal parts when Taylor stops singing. [Not Leaked]
She'll later release an early mix of the song on MySpace also in September. Posting the song on MySpace got her to surpass 1 million followers.
October 12, 2006: [From a Lover Journal] Taylor doodles Come In With The Rain on her diary.
November 2, 2006: Taylor writes Sparks Fly. This song was considered for Fearless before being cut.
December 1, 2006: [Interview with CMT] Taylor talks about the Debut rejects that will later become some of the Fearless Vault Songs in 2021.
âI've been very selfish about my songs. I had this dream of this project [Debut Album] coming out for so many years now that I just stockpiled. I'm so happy that I did because now we have a second album full of songs and a third album full of songs, and I don't have to lift a finger.â
December 2006: [From a Lover Journal] Taylor writes White Horse.
Original Lyrics from Taylor's Journal
Another handwritten version from the Grammy's Museum (partial photo)
[People Magazine] "[White Horse] was written with frequent collaborator Liz Rose in a 30-minute spurt while sitting in the hallway of a Nashville recording studio-Swift scribbled the lyrics into her ever-present journal. "I write stuff so fast that it comes out really messy!" she says. The writing session was "like therapy," and helped her reach the conclusion that ends the song. "Someday I'll find somebody who makes me feel like a princess," she says of the sentiment. "This isn't my last fairy tale."
[Liz Rose] She was in the studio doing some vocal changes. She just called me and said, "Hey, I have an idea, will you come into the studio so we can write this?"
Description of the White Horse Studio Demo: 3 min 36 sec. A perfect acoustic studio version. Taylor sounds so young here, it makes us think this song was written prior to the first album.
December 28, 2006: Performance at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. Unknown setlist except for Nashville and Our Song. Sam Armstrong was there and will comment in 2018 that Taylor performed a song about him there. It's unclear whether it was White Horse or Nashville (which is not about him, by the way).
Early 2007: Taylor writes The Other Side Of The Door.
Description of The Other Side of the Door Studio Demo: â4 minutes and 01 seconds: Starts with a catchy drum loop similar to the studio version of "Permanent Marker" and has less instrumentation. Very country with electric guitars coming in sooner.â She sounds SO young in the demo, it's basically the same baby voice she has in the Christmas songs. [Leaked]
April 2007: Taylor writes You're Not Sorry, possibily about Sam Armstrong.
[Interview from October 2008] âI wrote it about maybe a year and half ago about this guy that kept apologizing and kept doing the same thing over and over again and after a while you just have stand up to that person and say, âYouâre not sorry. At all... bye.ââ
âI wrote a few more songs [other than Should've Said No] on this upcoming record about him just because, you know, I wasnât done being mad about it. I know he's on the edge of his seat waiting.
âIt is about this guy who turned out to not be who I thought I was. He came across as Prince Charming. Well, it turned out Prince Charming had a lot of secrets that he didnât tell me about. And one by one, I would figure them out. I would find out who he really was. I wrote this when I was at the breaking point of, âYou know what? Donât even think that you can keep on hurting me.â It was to a point where I had to walk away.â
Gossip Speculation: The other songs for Sam are: White Horse, You're Not Sorry, Come In With The Rain and The Other Side Of The Door.
May 15, 2007: During an interview with Unrated Magazine conducted while she was getting ready for the ACMs Awards, Taylor says she has written more or less 75 songs, including Fearless.
[Unrated Magazine Interview] âI've got, like, 75 written, and we just have to whittle it down to whatever number of songs we want to put on the album, and start recording. I wrote this song that I'm really excited about called "Fearless." It's about the best first date that I haven't been on yet. I just try and put myself in the position of "this is really happening,' and what would happen on the coolest first date. So I haven't ever written a song about, you know, that feeling before. I've written songs, but I haven't recorded them or put them on an album, and so I think that would be a cool. It's about angry, not sad . The whole thing - I think it's really going to be cool for people to see that sort of song coming out of me. I would tell you about every single song on the album right now, I just can't wait for you to hear it.â
âShe conceived the song while touring as opening act to promote her eponymous debut album: "This is a song about the fearlessness of falling in love. No matter how many break up songs you write, no matter how many times you get hurt, you will always fall in love again. When I wrote âFearless,â I wasnât dating anyone. I wasnât even in the beginning stages of dating anybody. I really was all by myself out on tour and I got this idea for a song about the best first date. I think sometimes when youâre writing love songs, you donât write them about what youâre going through at the moment, you write about what you wish you had. So, this song is about the best first date I haven't had yet.â
[Hillary Lindsay to MusicRow.com] âI had a writing date with Taylor, and she came to my home. She came in like a fireball. She was young, but she knew exactly what she wanted. She had been working on the song with Liz, but wanted to finish it with me.â
May 30, 2007: First recorded performance of Sparks Fly in Oroville, CA.. Steve from the Inner Circle/Dark Blue Tennessee.com films it and posts it online.
July 10, 2007: [From MySpace] âSo lately, Iâve been in the studio on my days off recording a CHRISTMAS album! Haha. Not kidding. Itâs a Target exclusive thing, and Iâm really excited about it! There are two songs on it that I wrote. More on it later!â
According to its copyright file, Christmases When You Were Mine was written in 2007, but it's totally possible that it was written around Christmas '06. In my opinion, since Nathan Chapman is credited as writer, it was likely written in the studio just for the EP.
Christmas Must Be Something More was written in 2003. The Acoustic Demo from 2003 has never leaked and its existence only surfaced in 2018 thanks to Bob Orrall.
July 19, 2007: Taylor and Brad Paisley stop at the Jamboree In The Hills in Morristown, Ohio, where she sings Permanent Marker, and Fearless, along other songs from Debut.
March 2007: Taylor has written more or less 75 songs, including Fearless.
I've written songs, but I haven't recorded them or put them on an album, and so I think that would be a cool.â
âShe conceived the song while touring as opening act to promote her eponymous debut album: "This is a song about the fearlessness of falling in love. No matter how many break up songs you write, no matter how many times you get hurt, you will always fall in love again. When I wrote âFearless,â I wasnât dating anyone.
August 2007: Taylor writes The Best Day while on tour with Brad Paisley.
âI wrote this song on the road and didnât tell my mom about it. I decided that I was going to keep it a secret and give it to her as a surprise for Christmas. I wrote it in the summer and then recorded it secretly with the band in the studio. After it was done, I synched the song up to all these home videos of her, and my family. She didnât even realize it was me singing until halfway through the song! She didnât have any idea that I could possibly write and record a song without her knowing about it. When she finally got it, she just started bawling her eyes out.â
September 22, 2007: Taylor posts on MySpace: âI'm just counting down to December, when we start recording the next album. There's so much that I'm excited about.â
August/September 2007 (not confirmed): Tell Me Why and Acting Like A Boy, both co-written with Liz Rose, are registered together in her Music Publishing catalogue (Sony/ATV). Acting Like A Boy is the 66th song and Tell Me Why the 67th. Shortly after, a song called Too Beautiful, solo written, is copyrighted.
The singer told The Associated Press that this was inspired by her frustration at a boy that she liked acting up. She explained: "I walked into Liz's house, and I said, 'I can't believe what's going on right now, I've gotta tell you about this.' I told her all about it. She goes, 'If you could say everything you were thinking to him right now, what would you start with?'" Swift began venting: "I would say to him, 'I'm sick and tired of your attitude, I feel like I don't even know you' ... and I just started rambling, and she was writing down everything that I was saying, and so, we turned it into a song."
âIâd been talking to a guy Iâve never âofficiallyâ dated. Sometimes itâs the hardest thing when you have all these dreams of dating them, and youâre getting close, but it doesnât work out. He would say things that would make me go, âDid you just say that?â It bothered me so much because he would say one thing and do another, do one thing and say another. Because he didnât know what he wanted, he would just play all these mind games. So I went over to write with Liz and was just ranting and raving about how this guy is such a flake and such a jerk sometimes, and so cool other times. I was like, âLiz, I donât know whatâs up with this guy!â So I just started playing the beginning, âI took a chance, I took a shot. And you might think Iâm bulletproof, but Iâm not.ââ
Description of the Tell Me Why Acoustic Demo: 3 minutes and 7 seconds long. An extremely rare worktape demo from the Fearless album sessions. With studio production stripped away, we are left with Taylor singing along to an acoustic guitar using vocals that are softer and carry more emotional weight. The lyrics are different in some places, which makes for fascinating comparisons.
Description of Acting Like A Boy (worktape): Taylor starts this demo in a unique way by stating the song title. The boy Taylor has been dating has been sending her mixed signals. He has been playing a little game, acting like he doesn't care, and picking fights with her. Taylor is not going to put up with this forever. She is going to slip through his hands soon and he won't find her anymore. This song has a very pretty chorus melody.
October 10, 2007: Taylor premieres Fifteen.
[From the Inner Circle] âFirst performance of Fifteen at the All For the Hall New York. Quality unknown. We do not currently have a copy of this and are not sure if it was recorded. Tickets cost $1,000 each to attend and Taylor was a surprise guest.â
âI wrote this around the story line of my best friend from high school, Abigail. I started everything with the line âAbigail gave everything she had to a boy who changed his mindâ and wrote everything else from that point, almost backwards. I just decided I really wanted to tell that story about our first year of high school because I felt in my freshman year, I grew up more than any year in my life so far.â
October 14, 2007: Sounds of the Season: The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection is released in a limited edition through Target. It will be later reissued in 2009 with a slightly different cover.
October 17, 2007: During an interview with Country Weekly, Taylor says: "I have 30 songs that I want to put on it, which is a little bit difficult because I can only put on 12. I'm real excited for people to hear the new stuff."
November 7, 2007: After months of putting it off, Taylor finishes Change after winning the CMA Horizon award. This will be the last time in which her fiddler Emily Poe would perfom with Taylor.
âThatâs when I finished it, because I knew I couldnât finish it until something like that happened. It was absolutely the most amazing night of my life, getting to see the emotion of all the people who worked so hard for me.â
âAt one point, I began to understand that it would be harder for me on a smaller record label to get to the places and accomplish the things that artists were accomplishing on bigger record labels. I realized that I wouldnât get favors pulled for me because there werenât any other artists on the label to pull favors from. It was going to be an uphill climb and all that I had to encourage me was the hope that someday things would change. That things would be different. After so many times of just saying that to myself over and over, I finally wrote it down in a song.â
November 30, 2007: Taylor meets up with Colbie Caillat and they write Breathe, for her former fiddle player, Emily Poe.
âShe was doing a show in Nashville and I just happened to be in town, so we got together and wrote a killer song. Itâs really cool, and I canât wait for you to hear it. Sheâs gonna record back up vocals on it for my new album. (Theyâll be really loud back up vocals, because she has an incredibly awesome voice and I want it to be turned wayyyy up).â
[Alexa Skill for Taylor's Version] âBreathe is a song about having to let go of someone in your life who you care about and you don't want to hurt but you've outgrown the friendship or the relationship and I wrote this one I wrote the idea for it and Colbie Caillat was in town playing a show and I brought her this idea and she really liked it and we wrote it together, we sat there and wrote the song right before her show, I mean it was the afternoon she was about to play that night. She's singing backup vocals on it that are just so haunting and I'm so lucky because she agreed to do the same backup vocals on my version of Breathe, so it absolutely would not have been the same without her.â
âItâs a song about having to say goodbye to somebody, but it never blames anybody. Sometimes thatâs the most difficult part. When itâs nobodyâs fault. I was a huge fan of Colbieâs record. When it came out, I fell in love with the way that she makes music. I contacted her management right away and I asked if I could write with her and, sure enough, Colbie had a date coming up in Nashville where she was going to be playing a show and she had the day off. I think she sounds beautiful on it. Iâm so excited to have her voice on my album.â
December 5, 2007: [From MySpace] âSpeaking of my next album, today was my first day in the studio âpre-planningâ for recording it!! My producer, Nathan, and I basically spent all day listening to songs and picking which ones to record first.â
âWhen Taylor sat down in December 2007 to start planning her sophomore album, she knew she had a tough act to follow â her self-titled debut had just been certified double platinum. âPressure is one of my favorite things in the world,â Taylor told the Tennessean. âWhen I heard before my second album, âIs she going to experience a sophomore slump?â it made me more motivated to make sure that didnât happen. âIs she going to keep this fan base?â âIs this thing going to run off the tracks?â Those things motivate me. My gut instinct has worked so far, and Iâm not going to mess with that.ââ
December 10, 2007: Taylor is in the studio to record Change and Breathe. Taylor Swift goes double platinum. Our Song reaches No. 1. It's her first song to do so.
December 13, 2007: Taylor turns 18. Footage from her birthday party will be later turned in the Beautiful Eyes music video.
[From MySpace] âI had an amazing time at my party. I wore a hot pink dress. Pictures soon! The party was a blast.. My favorite thing about it was this photo booth. All of us were taking pictures in there the whole night. We had tarot card readers and palm readers and all kinds of fun stuff to do. Iâve never really had a big birthday party before, so it was amazing to get that chance! My record label surprised me with this HUGE pink truck!! Theyâre so sweet to me, and Iâve always wanted a truck.â
Around this time, an alternate version of Christmases When You Were Mine is released thorough Entertainment Weekly.
December 23, 2007: [From MySpace] âWeâve got six songs recorded already, and they sound amazing. Iâve been in the studio with Nathan (my producer. Same guy who produced my first record! But this time weâre co-producing) all month and itâs been so much fun.â
December 27, 2007: The Mirror tracklisting is released through a photoshoot with People Magazine:
Permanent Marker
Tell Me Why
I'd Lie
Fearless
Dark Blue Tennessee
Sparks Fly
The One Thing.
Lyrics to I'm Looking Out For You are also photographed. This song is speculated to be about Gracie Johnson, a friend of Taylor's who was battling cancer. Gracie can be heard at the beginning of the Beautiful Eyes Video and seen in the first picture in the Love Story (Taylor's Version) Lyric Video. She passed away in October 2019.
âBye Bye Baby [previously known as The One Thing] is a song that I wrote with Liz Rose and it was just one of those ones that it would always get stuck in my head, just the idea that you're facing disappointment when it comes to somebody that you really cared about, and kind of that grand letdown that happens when you're growing up and you're learning to trust people and trying to learn about love and everything and kind of realizing that you have to let go.â
Somewhere in 2007: Taylor writes The Way I Loved You with John Rich and SuperStar with Liz Rose.
[About The Way I Loved You] âI got this idea for a song about being in a relationship with a nice guy who is punctual and opens up the door for you and brings you flowers... but you feel nothing. The whole time youâre with him, youâre thinking about the guy who was complicated and messy and frustrating. So I brought that idea, the title and where I thought the song should go to John. He was able to relate to it because he is that complicated, frustrating messy guy in his relationships. We came at the song from different angles. It was just so cool to get in a room and write with him because he really is an incredible writer.â
John Rich is a Republican and spoke against Taylor in 2018 after Marsha Blackburn won, so this is probably all we'll ever know about their writing session.
There are two demos of Superstar, and on the worktape Taylor reveals that the superstar was born in Arkansas. Fans speculated that it's a reference to Joe Nichols, a famous country singer.
January 2008: Taylor records three more songs for Fearless.
[Taylor to Mix Online] The recording process on this album was spread out over the last year. We started recording last winter, and we did about three songs. About a month later, we did three more.Â
This is a theory but I think that 3 out of the 6 songs mentioned in December were Breathe, Change (we have footage) and The Best Day (Taylor gave this song to Andrea as a Christmas gift). The other 3 were/are unreleased and that's why Taylor had to lower the number from 6 to 3 during the album press. They might've been The One Thing (now Bye Bye Baby), Permanent Marker and Sparks Fly, but that's just a personal theory. For the January songs, on January 17th, Taylor is interviewed by Blender Magazine, and the interviewer mentions listening to Change and Fifteen (and The Best Days Of Your Lives, the Kelly Picker co-write). The other two might've been Fearless and Tell Me Why.
January 28, 2008: Matt Jenkins opens for Taylor at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. They write a song together called This One's Different. It was probably intended for Jenkins' debut album (which was never released) but I'll inlcude it anyway.
[Description of the song from the Inner Circle] The singer reflects back on how there can be really bad days and nights where it seems like everything goes wrong. But things can change for the better in a single moment when we meet the perfect person. The story in this song culminates in a romantic proposal and wedding. This song is unique because Taylor only sings background vocals and the story is told from the boy's perspective.
Video of Taylor and Matt explaining how she contacted him.
February 28, 2008: Love and Theft open Taylor's concert in Spartanburg, SC. This is likely the period when Taylor and Stephen Barker Liles met and Taylor wrote Hey Stephen.
âWe were recording at John and Martina McBrideâs studio [aka Blackbird Studios in Nashville] and he was like, âMy kids are dying to meet you. Do you think that you could say hi to them?â I said, âSure, have them come and hang out while weâre recording.â So his daughters and their friends from school â there were about ten of them there â they all came into the studio when we were recording âHey Stephenâ and they loved it. They were singing along with it by the end of it." The children ended up snapping their fingers on the song.â
March 2008: According to Nathan Chapman, Love Story was recorded in March. On March 8th, Taylor posts on MySpace: "The second album is coming along quite nicely. :-)", possibly referencing the latest recording session for Fearless.
[From Everyday is a Fairytale by Liv Spencer] âTaylor wrote this song lying on her bedroom floor in a mere 20 minutes and recorded a rough cut of the track in 15 minutes of studio time the next day.â
[Nathan Chapman to ProAudio] âThe vocal was a tracking vocal â that's the vocal she cut live with the band," Chapman reveals. "The band was just acoustic guitar, bass and drums; everything else was overdubbed.â
Nathan is likely talking about these two demos: Love Story (4 min 8 sec / Acoustic in a Studio) Taylor went into the studio to record this demo shortly after writing it and you can hear Nathan (the producer) speaking during the recording; Love Story Justin Niebank Master Mix (3 min 58 sec / Studio) - As the music starts playing, Taylor clears her throat in preparation for singing. This album demo is more like a raw unmixed studio version. Sometimes Taylor's vocal is simply one take with no enhancements. At other times, harmonies are mixed in loudly or there are multiple Taylor vocals all singing together.
[Taylor on Rolling Stone, January 25, 2010] âLove Story wasnât technically the last one, but it was very, very last minute.â
âThis is a song I wrote when I was dating a guy who wasn't exactly the popular choice. His situation was a little complicated, but I didn't care. I started this song with the line "This love is difficult, but it's real." When I wrote the ending to this song, I felt like it was the ending every girl wants to go with her love story. Itâs the ending that I want. You want a guy who doesnât care what anyone thinks, what anyone says. He just says, âMarry me, Juliet, I love you, and thatâs all I really know.â Itâs sort of told in a character kind of thing, where itâs Romeo and Juliet, and itâs not me saying that Iâm getting married or anything...but I think itâs fun to write about it.â
March 2008: Just days after writing Love Story, Taylor has a writing session with Craig Wiseman. She brings Love Story with her, asking if he wanted to finish it with her, but he refused. They end up writing another unknown song.
March 28, 2008: [Rollling Stone Interview] âIâve recorded six songs, including one that I wrote with Colbie Caillat, that sheâs going to throw some harmonies on, which I canât even wait to hear. And Iâm going in to record six more this week and then we have another session scheduled for summertime. Weâre really trying to just cut a bunch of stuff and put whatever is best on the album.â
May 10, 2008: Banjo Ben Clark, the banjo player who has been touring with Taylor since 2006, reveals that he had recently played some banjo on new Taylor songs. Through an email exchange with him, I was able to confirm that he played on a Fearless song of which the production was changed and the banjo track discarded. Mr. Clark was not able to confirm which song this was.
Early June 2008: Taylor records Crazier and White Horse.
âI actually wasnât going to put [White Horse] on the album. I was going to wait for the third album because I really felt like we had the âsadnessâ represented on this record. Then my agency out in LA set up a meeting with executive producers Betsy Beers and Shonda Rhimes at Greyâs Anatomy because thatâs my favorite show. It would just be a dream come true to have a song on it. So, I played them âWhite Horse.â It was just me and my guitar and they freaked out. They loved it. They said, âWeâll get back to you as soon as possible.â For a while, we didnât know if we were going to put it on the record because if it wasnât going to be on the show, then we werenât going to put it on the album. Then they called and said they were very interested in the song. We recorded it right away, sent it off to them, and they put it in!â
âWhite Horse is about what, in my opinion, is the most heart-breaking part of a break-up â that moment when you realize that all the dreams you had, all those visions you had of being with this person, all that disappears. Everything after that moment is moving on.. But that initial moment of "Wow, it's over" is what I wrote White Horse about.â
(About Crazier) [Billboard Interview, March 2008] âThere are songs that I wrote when I was 13 that I think are perfect to bring out now. I didnât get a chance to put âem on the record the first time around. Thereâs so much stuff that Iâm gonna to pull from the back drawer and then thereâs some stuff that I will write today and cut tomorrow.â
âI wrote the song âCrazierâ when I was thirteen, and so this song is really a reflection of what I thought love was supposed to be. And, you know, sometimes you write a love song about what you hope will find you, and what you hope youâll find someday, not about what youâre actually going through. I wrote the song in hopes that possibly it would be in the movie, but I never thought that it would be such a big, prominent song. Itâs absolutely one of the most exciting things. The song is playing when the main characters in the movie, Miley and Billy Ray, are both falling in love, with that song as a background. Itâs really cool to have that kind of a part in the movie.â
[Co-writer Robert Ellis Orrall on Crazier] âDisney called her up and said, 'We need a fiddle waltz song for Hannah Montana the Movie, we would love for you to sing it. She had one, so she sent it to them.â
Speculation:
I'm pretty confident that the songs written at 13 which she considered to release were Crazier and R-E-V-E-N-G-E.
I'm not entirely sure it was June, but Crazier, White Horse and Beautiful Eyes were mastered together, so I'm gonna assume that they were done in the period between her cameo in Hannah Montana and the release of the Beautiful Eyes EP. Grey's Anatomy was in post-production in that period, so that checks out.
June 9, 2008: Taylor shoots her cameo in Hannah Montana.
July 15, 2008: Beautiful Eyes is released.
[From MySpace] âIâm only letting my record company make a small amount of these - the last thing I want any of you to think is that we are putting out too many releases. Iâm not going to be doing a bunch of promotion for it, because I donât want there to be confusion about whether itâs the second album or not.â
Beautiful Eyes was written by April 20, 2004 and recorded on August 9, 2004 and it was produced by Orrall. The song released is actually the exact same demo, not even remixed, just mastered. [Source: Bob Orrall's Instagram]
I Heart? was written in early 2004 and the demo recorded in June 2004. The released version, available for download if you bought her Debut album the first week at Best Buy, was recorded on November 3, 2005 (instrumentals) and on November 4, 2005 (vocals). Both versions are produced by Bob Orrall.
FAQ: What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
July 2008 - A Sunday: Taylor and Liz Rose write You Belong With Me.
âI came into the writing session with Liz Rose and said: âIâve got this idea. I had overheard a friend of mine talking to his girlfriend and he was completely on the defensive saying, âNo, baby...I had to get off the phone really quickly...I tried to call you right back...Of course I love you. More than anything! Baby, Iâm so sorry.â She was just yelling at him! I felt so bad for him at that moment. So I came up with the first line âYouâre on the phone with your girlfriend, sheâs upset, going off about something that you said,â and I ran that into the story line that Iâm in love with him and he should be with me instead of her. It just became this whole picture. It was really fun for us to write the line, âShe wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts.ââ
[Liz Rose Interview] âTaylor said, âIâm finishing the record on Monday. Letâs write an uptempo song.â We wrote âYou Belong With Meâ in one or two hours. Itâs amazing to go back to the work tape and listen to it, because you wouldnât believe the nuances that show up in the album version, too. When sheâs writing something, sheâs already producing in her head. She hears it all.â
[Liz Rose - BMI Conference] With "You Belong With Me" she called me on a Friday I think, and said, "Hey, I'm finishing the record and I need another song. Can you write on Sunday?" [...] When I hear the worktape I hear the production, the stop and the clap, she was hearing all that when we were writing it. And then she called and said, "We cut it, it's amazing!" And I was like, "We just wrote it? That's cool, ok!"
Description of the worktape: You Belong With Me (3 min 7 sec / Acoustic)- Provides an incredible window into the songwriting process which went into this future hit song. Taylor clears her voice and then unleashes her acoustic guitar as she sings along with great feeling. There are some unique lyrics on this demo including an entirely different bridge. Simply stunning.
July 2008 - A Monday: During the summer sessions mention on Rolling Stone, Taylor records You Belong With Me and other 4 songs.
[Nathan Chapman Interview] We moved a little quick sometimes - most of You Belong With Me took two hours and a half. We started at 10AM and we were done by 12:30. I said, "Hey, let's go to lunch", but on the way back, one of the guys from the label said, "Hey, it's not cool to take that much time for one song". So we did four songs that afternoon. And then her management called and said, "You really wore her out today, can you go easier on her tomorrow?"
July 29, 2008: First live perfomance of Untouchable from the Live from Clear Channel Stripped 2008.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Live from Clear Channel Stripped 2008 is the album which was released without Taylor's approval in April 2020. Before the "official" Big Machine release, these songs were on the Target YouTube channel. YouTube channel EAS Music Official waited until Taylor regained possessions of Fearless before uploading a 4K remastered version of Love Story from this live. Both videos are ethical-sourced.
July 31, 2008: Taylor shoots the Fearless photoshoot. (I got this date from an insider)
August 5 and 6, 2008: Shooting of the Love Story music video at the Cumberland University and Castle Gwynn in Arrington, Tennessee.
August 8, 2008: Change is released. Brian Mansfield, a journalist who has followed Taylor since the beginning of her career, reveals some song titles:
Swift, 18, hasn't finalized the new disc's track list, but other likely songs include Hey Stephen, You're Not Sorry, Fifteen, You Belong With Me, Change, Tell Me Why, The Best Day and Breathe, written and sung with Colbie Caillat.
August 15, 2008: Week of the Jonas Brothers 3D Movie shooting where Taylor performs Should've Said No; Should've Said No reaches No. 1; Fearless is announced for November.
August 30, 2008: [From MySpace] âSo now is the time for planning. In 73 days, November 11th will be here and so will the release date of my new album. And so right now Iâm in the middle of writing my âthank youâ section and thinking about track listing order (wondering âWhat song should go first..? Or last? How do you get the perfect flow of an album? What IS the "flowâ of an album? Hmmm..â). And Iâm also thinking about the secret codes to put into the lyrics. [...] This next record is on my mind 24/7, all the time. It never stops. Iâm always either listening to a new mix of a song or scanning through pictures to make sure weâve chosen the right ones, or wondering which songs you guys are going to like the best. Iâm just so obsessed with it right now, all the planning. And sometimes I just have to sit back and remind myself that 73 days is not going to be here any sooner if I obsess. Itâs still going to be 73 days away.â
Somewhere between July and August 2008: Taylor writes Jump Then Fall and Today Was A Fairytale.
[About Jump The Fall] Itâs probably the happiest, bounciest, most fun song to drive down the street listening to. It's one of my favorites on the Platinum Edition. It's just really fun and happy and takes me back to a good place.
September 1, 2008: The first Fearless tracklist is released. Originally, Change was the first song The Way I Loved You wasn't included. Forever & Always was also missing, as Taylor hadn't written it yet.
01 - Change 02 - Fearless 03 - Fifteen 04 - Love Story 05 - Hey Stephen 06 - White Horse 07 - You Belong With Me 08 - Breathe 09 - Tell Me Why 10 - You're Not Sorry 11 - The Best Day
September 12, 2008: The lead single Love Story is released.
[From MySpace] âA lot of people have been asking me what inspired this song.. I think the line that sums up what that song is about is âThis love is difficult, but itâs real.â It just means that sometimes you have to fight for love, but sometimes itâs worth fighting for. Like with Romeo and Juliet. Except without the death. :) To me, the song isnât really about living in a castle and having met your true love at a royal ball. Itâs simpler than that. Itâs about love being worth it. The hard times, the things that keep you apart, the times when you question it.. I would really like to think that the right love is worth the energy we put into it. So thatâs what this song is about. Love and Romeo, and how we fight for those things that we canât be without. In 1789 or in 2008. Whether youâre 16 or 60.â
Taylor will call the guy who inspired Love Story âa creepâ in a 2011 interview.
September 16, 2008: The second Fearless tracklist is released.
01. Fearless 02. Fifteen 03. Love Story 04. Forever & Always 05. Hey Stephen 06. White Horse 07. You Belong With Me 08. Breathe 09. You're Not Sorry 10. Tell Me Why 11. That's The Way I Loved You 12. The Best Day 13. Change
September 18, 2008: The Jonas Brothers are filming their music video Lovebug. Joe meets Camilla Belle there.
September 22 or 23, 2008: While in the studio, Taylor writes and records Forever & Always, a last-addiction to Fearless.
[From MySpace] [...] And I recorded a new song the other day for Fearless. I think itâs fun to put yourself under crazy pressure to finish a song by a certain deadline. Thatâs what I did with this last song. And that makes 13 songs on the new album. 13âŠ.. I think thatâs a good number of songs to end up withâŠ.<3
âForever & Always is about when I was in a relationship with someone and I was just watching him slowly slip away. I didn't know why, because I wasn't doing anything different. I didn't do anything wrong. He was just fading. Itâs about the confusion and frustration of wondering why? What changed? When did it change? What did I do wrong? In this case, the guy I wrote it about ended up breaking up with me for another girl. Guess I know why he was fading.â
[Taylor to Mix Online] The recording process on this album was spread out over the last year. We started recording last winter, and we did about three songs. About a month later, we did three more. Two weeks before the album had to be turned in and mastered, after all the other songs were finished, I wrote a new song and also decided that I wanted to put another song [The Way I Loved You] that we already recorded onto the album, making 13 tracks instead of 11. I went to the label and said, âIs there any way we could get an emergency recording session? I need to record this new song.â And [laughs] my record label president took a deep breath and said, âYes, I guess you can do that.â
September 26, 2008: White Horse is premeried on Grey's Anatomy.
September 30, 2008: [From MySpace] âSo this week, weâre in âfinal approval modeâ for the album. You know, all the emails that say in the subject lines âFearless album booklet: FINAL APPROVALâ or âCD design: FINAL APPROVALâ. So Iâm doing a lot of approving. And then they send it to the magical CD maker people and they make all the CDs just in time for November 11. Actually, itâs called the distribution branch, but I prefer âthe magical CD maker peopleâ.â
Somewhere during the last two weeks of September: Drama Queen, co-written with Martin Johnson is written and recorded. It will be mastered along the rest of the Fearless songs and another re-recording of R-E-V-E-N-G-E (not the one leaked). Since the song was mastered, it's considered an outtake and not a demo.
Fun fact: Along with I'd Lie, Drama Queen and R-E-V-E-N-G-E are the only three unreleased songs to have been mastered.
IMPORTANT PERSONAL NOTE: I know that a lot of people think that Drama Queen is exclusively a Speak Now cut, but this is not my opinion, but what the master engineer (Hank Williams) and Big Machine officially declared. Feel free to not believe them though. It's totally possible it was considered for Fearless Platinum or for Speak Now (and I believe it was) but cut in favour of Better Than Revenge, but it doesn't change the fact that it's also a Fearless cut. If you really have proof that Big Machine falsified documents, call them out, don't waste time coming after me, I just copy-past stuff. They're already considered liars anyway.
October 2, 2008: An interview with Rolling Stone is published, where she says: âI just wrote songs about what I like to write about, which is boys,â she says. Working again with producer Nathan Chapman, Swift spent nearly eight months in Nashville studios recording 50-plus new songs, from which she picked Fearlessâ 13 tracks.â It's unclear whether whether 50 songs were actually fully recorded or if they were just considered.
October 14, 2008: Through Countdown to Fearless, an exclusive campaign by the iTunes Store, Fearless is released as a promotional single.
October 28, 2008: You're Not Sorry is released as a promotional single through ITunes. The physical copies are also completed.
[From MySpace] Just letting everyone know that my new song âYouâre Not Sorryâ comes out on iTunes tonight at midnight, so check it out! I stopped by the label today and held the actual CD in my hands⊠Itâs finished. Itâs ready to go. TWO WEEKS! Let me know what you think of the new song!
November 4, 2008: You Belong With Me is released as a promotional single through ITunes.
November 11, 2008: Fearless is finally released.
March 19, 2009 (not confirmed): [From MySpace] âI've been in the studio all day (I know, I know.. We JUST put out a new album. I think I have a problem, I cannot stop writing songs.)â. The song is possibly Mr. Perfectly Fine.
[Alexa Skill for Taylor's Version] âMr Perfectly Fine was definitely an early indicator of me sort of creeping towards a pop sensibility. I've always listened to every type of music and even though Fearless is a country album, there were always these pop melodies creeping in. But I really love this song and, I love the bridge, I think the lyrics are just wonderfully scathing and full of the teen angst that you would hope to hear on an album that I wrote when I was 17 or 18 or you know on that cusp.â
April 23, 2009: The Fearless Tour starts in Evansville, Indiana.
October 26, 2009: Fearless Platinum Edition is released.
The six new songs on the Fearless [Platinum Edition] are songs that I either recorded and wrote really recently, wrote maybe a year ago and almost put on Fearless but decided not to for one reason or another, or a songs that I wrote when I was 14/15 and re-recorded recently. It's a good mixture of songs from different time periods throughout my life. When I make an album, I always have a general theme for it. And when I hear songs, or go back and listen to old ones, there are some that I know fit in with the theme.

"why don't you get settled on the couch, and i'll bring you whatever you need." ( yunhwa to seongmin! )
seongmin had always been a very independent person, the type to do everything himself instead of relying on others. it was a habit he developed as a kid and, to this day, he still didnât know how to handle people doing things for him â even if it was something as minor as this. they had been friends for awhile now and he shouldnât find this to be strange or unacceptable in any way â yet he seongmin still tried to get up, despite having twisted his ankle at practice earlier that day. but, as he was trying to tell himself that it wasnât that bad, he thought it was perfectly fine for him to walk around, even if putting weight on his leg wrong made him wince lightly with the pain.
ignoring the feeling and instead just putting less pressure onto that one ankle, he tried to follow yunhwa into the kitchen with an unusual slow pace â but determined nonetheless. â no no, itâs okay. i can help~ â he hummed, smile on his lips. â what kind of food did you get today? i can bring it out to the room and you can bring the drinks? â

perreault!sister x will smith! â ËïœĄâàšà§Ë
-> will + daisy playlist and moodboard ! â ËïœĄâàšà§Ë
-> AU TIMELINE:
the au takes place during willâs second year at bc and daisyâs first
she met will when she was 15 and he was 16
she didnât like will at first because he thought everyone liked him âwhy donât you like me? everyone likes me.â âmaybe because you think everyone likes you.â âapparently you donât.â âwow, and he has a brain! maybe i need to rethink this not liking you thing, huh?
he pesters her so much about the not liking thing that she starts to actually like the guy -> they hang out without gabe a couple of times and she starts to realize why people like him
they date in secret when will is in his first year at bc and daisy is in michigan finishing up her final year of high school - it was easier to hide their relationship when they werenât together 24/7
but gabe and everyone else found out about their relationship the next year when daisy joined them at bc
-> DAISY PERREAULT:
her brother is gabe perreault !
sheâs a year younger than will & gabe
her birthday is november 28th - sheâs a sagittarius !
sheâs 18, will is 19 (itâs set in the future since heâs starting college this year & i wanted to write about them both being in college together)
she currently attends boston college
sheâs majoring in biochemistry !!
sheâs very bubbly & happy, very fearless coded
her favorite color is yellow
she loves picnics + crafts
sheâs small -> a foot shorter than will (makes for better hugs)
she canât drive so she makes will drive her everywhere, but she always has the aux and itâs always taylor
she sings randomly a lotÂ
people thinks sheâs some sort of airhead, but sheâs so freaking smartÂ
she does ballet
she is willâs baby. no argument
will calls her âbabyâ, âpretty girlâ, & âmy girlâ
-> WILL SMITH:
his best friend is gabe perreault
heâs a year older than daisy
his birthday is march 17 - heâs a spicy pisces !
heâs currently a center for the boston college hockey team + he was the 4th overall pick in the nhl draft â heâs going to be a shark after his second year at bc (him and daisy havenât talked about their future yet, but they both know that they want each other in it)
heâs not super into pda and acts all tough in front of his friends, but when heâs with daisy, all of his guards are down and heâs a big pile of mush for her
he goes to every single one of her ballet recitals â heâs her #1 supporter !
daisy calls him âbabyâ, âsweet boyâ, and âsmittyâ but only when sheâs making fun of him
-> INSTA EDITS:
soft launch w/ will + daisy !
-> IMAGINES:
speak now
i can see you

frequently asked questions
GENERAL
what is a cruel summer with you/camp byler?
a cruel summer with you is an ongoing multi-chapter fic by @wiseatom/@astrobei/@andiwriteordie that serves as the mainline story in our stranger things au that we fondly refer to as camp byler. it is essentially taking the characters of stranger things, taking them out of the 80s, and plopping them down into a modern day summer camp - camp whiteman! mike and will are friends but also not, due to their very loaded history together.
why is it called camp whiteman?/any comment on the camp name
thea (wiseatom) went to a summer camp as a child called camp wightman. when creating this au, we used it as a placeholder (spelled whiteman) and then it just stuck because itâs funny and ridiculous. it is an ongoing joke between the three of us and the characters!Â
what cabins are the three of you in? how do i find out mine?
thea is in yellow, suni is in green, andi is in blue! you can find the cabin sorting quiz here :)Â
how long is this fic going to be? is it finished? how often will it update?
we are projecting 400k-500k words for the mainline fic once itâs completed. we cannot adhere to a strict posting schedule due the obligations we have in our personal lives, but we will always be transparent about when we think an update is going up!
are you going to abandon this fic and not finish it?
no! thea and suni are very committed to seeing through the rest of the mainline fic. we may have to delay chapters, but we will finish it!
where is andi?
andi has stepped back from acswy moving forward. you can read our update here.
who is writing what chapter? what pov is the fic in?
everything will alternate back and forth between mike and willâs pov, and this is how our chapter setup is laid out: CH01 / will pov / thea CH02 / mike pov / suni CH03 / will pov / andi CH04 / mike pov / thea CH05 / will pov / suni CH06 / mike pov / andi CH07 / will pov / suni CH08 / mike pov / andi CH09 / will pov / thea CH10 / mike pov / suni CH11 / will pov / suni CH12 / mike pov / thea CH13 / will pov / suni CH14 / mike pov / thea CH15 / will pov / thea
STORY SPECIFIC
are we going to learn about the fearless lore/is this going to happen/etc.?
we canât answer questions like these because of spoilers, but please trust the process, have patience, and know that we wouldnât have mentioned something big if it wasnât going to be addressed or resolved!
where's that post where you spoiled each chapter with an emoji?
here!
who is derek? is he going to appear in acswy?
derek is willâs ex-boyfriend, who he dated from december 2020 through june/july of 2021. he is not going to appear in acswy except for by name, but will be featured in a companion fic detailing their break up! he's ~10 months older than will and one grade ahead of him.
how many companion fics do you have planned? when will they be posted?
we currently have several planned, but the ones that are most plot relevant to acswy are the discord era fic, the fearless lore (expanded) fic, and the will/derek break up fic. we will post them at some point in tandem with acswy going up, and will have more after acswy is finished, too!Â
when does you know that i caught it take place?
refer to the timeline :)Â
does justin have a crush on will? is justin evil? is justin going to interfere with byler?
yes, no, no. any justin slander will be deleted â„ïž
#acswy faq#we tend to get a lot of the same questions so here's another live doc that we can update in case any others become frequent!#also making a post of it becauuuuse i'm about to make a new pinned post teehee

You were quite upset when you couldnât buy tickets to Taylor Swiftâs Eraâs tour. You had your boyfriend, Theodore, wait for the tickets during his work at the ministry whilst you were at home on a day off. However, neither of you managed to get any tickets.
Pansy didnât get any tickets either, so she planned on throwing an eraâs party instead at her familyâs summer house. The theme, ofcourse, is to dress as an era.
âIâve nearly finished my outfit!â You squeal. Theo slides his office chair to peep in your office.
On the tailorâs dummy was a blurple body suit inspired by Taylorâs Midnights Costume. The sparkles brings you so much joy but not as much as Theoâs coupling outfit.
âThat looks gorgeous, sweetheart.â He eyes the outfit up and down.
âAnd youâre going to look fantastic next to me in your chair t-shirt!â You grin at him.
The doorbell rings and you jump in excitement.
âThat must be my matching dress shirt and boots!~â You sing as you sprint to the front door.
Meanwhile, Theodore walks to the garage to place something in the boot of the car. He smiles to himself and sends a text to Pansy.
Theo: âMake sure to text her that your party changed venue to the one near the stadium so she doesnât suspect us driving near there.â
Pansy: âDuh! I got you dude! I canât wait for you two to get back from the concert!!!!â
Theo: âThanks. I hope it goes well.â
âBabe! The beads are here we gotta make some more bracelets! Pansy said sheâs invited a lot of people!â He hears you shouting from the kitchen.
âIâll be there in a minute.â

The day of the party is the same day as the concert. Pansy told you she set it up that way since she knew a lot of Swifties that were in the same position as the both of you. You were even more thrilled when she mentioned she managed to book a venue near the stadium so that you can hear Queen Swift herself through the echoes of the speakers of the concert.
You stayed up all night to make bracelets and finish off your body suit. It was all worth it. Theo suggest that you can always nap on the way to the event and thatâs what you did. He brought you a pillow and placed your to-go make up bag in the glove compartment so you can touch up beforehand.
When you arrived he gentle wakes you.
âDarling, weâre here. I couldnât find a parking space near the venue but I luckily found one in the stadium.â He lies but you are still prying your eyes open to realise.
Whilst you applied some make up to correct smudges, Theo goes to the boot of the car and places items in his jacket pocket. He walks to your car door and opens it.
âReady my sweet?â He offers you a hand that you gladly take. He starts leading you towards one of the entrances of the stadium.
âWhere are you going? Isnât the venue the other way?â You ask, puzzled. Still you allow him to walk you closer and closer to entrance.
âMaybe we can go in and buy some merch before we go to the party?â His hand is firm in yours ensuring you donât detour back to the opposite direction.
âBabe it doesnât work like that.â
âOh well then good thing I have these.â He takes out two V.I.P. lanyards.
You are speechless as he puts one of them on you. When reality hit you, you jump up and hug him.
âI canât believe you did this for me!â You sniffle.
âHey hey! Save your tears for Miss Swift.â

Nothing could beat this feeling.
You are standing in front of the stage. Your Theo had bought you both front standing tickets. It is all like a fever dream. You exchange your bracelets with other fans and they appreciate your couples costume so much that some even asked to take photos with you.
And to add even more delight, Theo brought a muggle polaroid camera to capture your experience.
The countdown clock hits 5 seconds and the lights dim.
đ” Itâs been a long time coming đ”
You, along with thousands of fans scream at the top of your lungs. Theo smiles and captures a photo. Jumping and singing throughout the concert. Slow dancing with Theo during ballads.
Theo swears the twinkle in your eyes is shining brighter than anything on the stage. Even brighter when the first notes of your couple song plays.
đ” We were both young when I first saw you đ”
You had met in first year of Hogwarts on the boats leading up to the castle. He saved you from falling off it when you thought you saw a mermaid tail swimming near the surface.
đ” You were Romeo & you were throwing pebbles đ”
Literally happened in fourth year. Theo on his broom throwing rocks at your bedroom door during summer holidays when he was missing you. Your family werenât very happy with the broken window but did find it very sweet. Young love.
đ” Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone đ”
You both focus on each other than the crowds and the performance. Bodies swaying together, Theo twirling you, and kisses during music breaks in the song.
đ” And my daddy said stay away from Juliet đ”
Flashbacks to when your family disapproved of Theo when his father was sent to Azkaban. But you both fought for your love and here you were now.
đ”This love is difficult but itâs so real đ”
Your family eventually embraced him when they saw how he protected you throughout the second wizarding war. Not a scar was on you. He made sure of it.
đ” Is this in my head I donât know what to think đ”
Theo kneels down and pulled out a ring and mouthed the words to you.
âYes yes yes!â You cry out as he places the ring on your finger.
He picks you up and swirls you. You were wrong earlier. This is the best youâve felt in your life.
