E i ragazzi gli dissero che Padre Tracy fumava sigari, e lasciava mozziconi sui banchi, e a volte facevano dei buchi. Era l'anno in cui sua sorella mise gli occhiali con le lenti spesse, e la montatura nera; e la ragazza che abitava dietro l'angolo rise, quando le chiese di andare a vedere Babbo Natale. E i ragazzi gli spiegarono perché i suoi genitori continuavano a baciarsi: suo padre non gli rimboccava mai le coperte, e si infuriava se glielo chiedeva piangendo. Una volta, su un pezzo di carta strappato dal suo taccuino, scrisse una poesia, e la intitolò 'Innocenza: una domanda', perché quello era il quesito che si poneva su di lei, e i versi parlavano di questo. Il suo professore gli diede una A, e gli lanciò uno sguardo strano, serio; e sua madre non la appese alla porta della cucina, perché non gliela fece mai leggere. Era l'anno in cui Padre Tracy morì, e lui dimenticò come finiva il Credo degli Apostoli. Sorprese sua sorella a fare sesso in veranda, sul retro; e sua madre e suo padre non si baciavano mai, e non si parlavano. E la ragazza che abitava dietro l'angolo si truccava troppo, e lui tossiva quando la baciava, ma la baciava lo stesso, perché era la cosa giusta da fare. Alle tre del mattino si infilava nel letto, e suo padre russava rumorosamente. Ecco perché, sul retro di un sacchetto di carta marrone, provò a scrivere un'altra poesia, e la intitolò 'Il nulla assoluto', perché i versi parlavano di questo. You meet each other for the very first time

Harry:

You were a ballerina and Danielle Peazer’s best friend, preparing for your performance. You were on stage, nerves and excitement filled you. As the curtain rose up and revealed you. You did fouettes, grand jetes, pirouettes, and much more. As you posed for the ending, a guy in the very front couldn’t keep his eyes of you. You wanted say hi, but the lights blacked out and you had to run to backstage. You were quite sad that you didn’t say hi and prayed you’d see his face soon. When the whole performance ended, it was a hassle backstage. Many people congratulated the dancers. As you were getting ready for the afterparty, a knock on the door was made.

“Come in!” You chirped as you continued curling your hair. A man with curly hair and green eyes entered. He’s the boy you’ve been eyeing in the performance.

“Hey!” His dimpled smile made you smile.

“Hi!” You replied and stood up. He grabbed you by the waist.

“You were amazing tonight.”

“Why thank you, um?”

“Harry. You?”

“(Y/N).”

“(Y/N), a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.” You can’t help but blush. He nearly went for you lips, until Dani and Liam opened the door.

“(Y/N), afterparty!” You were still in Harry’s grasp but let goed when Dani called out. You both were feeling awkward.

“I see you’ve met Harry, anyway, party!!” Liam carried her away and left, with you and Harry.

“So, (Y/N), ready for the party?” His arm was around yours.

“Why, yes.” You walked out to the party and let’s say, more parties happened, some at clubs and some at beds 😉
