fingers cling to the shawl around her shoulders, the hand pulling it tighter around her shoulders as a breeze passed. her other hand was behind her, resting on the doorknob of the door she already unlocked, ready to push it open whenever THE moment passed. wisps of hair blew away from her ear and with no free hands, claudia couldn't tuck it back. she tilts her head to meet his gaze, peering up at him from underneath dark eyelashes. " well ... thank you. for tonight. it was fun. " she's waiting.

“Y-Yeah. Lots of fun.” So much fun, in fact, that Vincent didn’t actually want the night to be over. Did it have to be? Was this her way of saying she was done with him and didn’t want to see him right now? Or was it just that she was worn out and ready to go to bed? It’s cool enough that the warm covers must be inviting--moreso than a doorstep with an awkward date. Though, it hadn’t been a poor date at all: like he’d said, he’d had lots of fun, and it seemed like she had too. “Thank you, honestly. I...can’t remember the last time I felt this relaxed around someone else.” Hard to, with a star god whispering madness in your ear. 

And yet...there was something missing. Something cliche and storybook, but Vincent couldn’t deny that he’d been thinking about it. He’d been dreaming about it since before they went out tonight--what those soft, glossy lips taste like, what they feel like on his. Maybe...she’s waiting for that goodnight kiss, too. 

Vincent leaned in, taking his time. He wasn’t the most experienced kisser, but he knew what to do. A hand took her cheek, thumb brushing along the smooth skin and warming it as his other hand took her hip. His lips met hers slowly, patiently, in a long, adoring kiss. Something felt strange though--a surge of fire and life under his skin. Was this what was called ‘fireworks’? He broke the kiss slowly, watching to see if she’d retreat from another. “Though,” he started to say, his better judgement howling in protest, “the night...doesn’t have to be over, does it?”
