Was tagged by my good friend @sunset-a-story; Y'all can call me Scribe!
Rules: use this picrew to make yourself and answer the questions.
(As it turns out Picrew does not like beards very much and I had a lot of trouble making anything that looked like me. Here's an older version of my avatar instead.)
three fun facts about me:
I have a small collection of medieval weaponry, with my favorite easily being the Halberd I have hanging in my room.
I am, officially, a Lord of Sealand.
I have been relatively consistently playing TTRPGs for about a decade now, and I am currently beta testing one created by my players and myself.
favorite season: Easily Winter, it's the only time of the year that doesn't try and melt me.
continent where i live: North America
how i spend my time: Professionally I am a psychologist, and might be going back to grad school to become a counselor. Unprofessionally I am a writer. I mainly write short stories based in a shared world called Lexical Earth (which also happens to be the setting of the TTRPG system being made); but I've been known to write the occasional fiction about a story that inspires me, or a game that I can't get my head out of.
are you published? Technically; I accidentally got one of my shorts published as part of some high school journal a long while ago.
introvert/extrovert: I'm a fairly charismatic introvert. Or maybe manic would be a better word? Either way, I need my alone time.
favorite meal: Fried Rice, can't get enough of that shit.
No pressure tagging: @yamiunicorn @captain-kraken

A small Introduction.
Tumblr media
Hello there! I'm Cervus (he/they preferred), a pansexual writer who's from Brazil and has a big soft spot for romances.
I've been a writer for around 6 years now, but only in these past few months have I truly began to flesh my works out and write proper & consistent stories. I'd even dare say that's when I actually gained counsciousness! :'^)
However, I've never shared any of my works to anyone but my closest friends. There's many, many things I know I have to improve on, and I'm actively attempting to better myself at writing them.
Some of my favorite things to write about are historical pieces and detective stories. Though, there's also the dearest, occasional, fun little short stories between my characters that I write here and there. I also like dragons (and other mythological creatures) a very surprising amount. ^-^
I have quite a few works in the making, most of them being historical-inspired, angst-filled stories... I can't get enough of them-- guilty as charged!
Things that typically make me happy to see while reading are:
historical-themed stories.
dragons. quite obviously. '^^
girlbosses. though I do also like some soft characters here and there!
malewives & himbos.
Seeing characters be completely head over heels for their partners-- it's so sweet!
evil or morally ambiguous characters.
flower symbolism.
polyamorous relationships.
fantasy creatures-- but mainly centaurs, werewolves, and vampires.
lgbt+ characters, especially bi/pan folks.
romances.
latine culture representation.
a tiny little bit of soul-crushing, heart-wrenching drama.
I hope to have a fun time & meet lots of new people here! My social skills are a bit rusty, but I pride myself in being able to hold a conversation well, haha!!
Please shoot me a message if you want to talk. I'm always open to meeting new people and making new friends. I promise I won't bite! ^-^
p.s.: I'm nowhere near serious as I may let on, I swear.

Hi! Please feel free to ignore this, but I absolutely adore your blog, and I was wondering if you had any advise on how to start a writeblr. I've wanted to start my own for a while, but I don't know how to start or what to post.
Again, feel free to ignore this message! ♡
Hello, anon, thanks for the ask. The very straightforward answer is to start. But here are some steps that can hopefully ease you into the process:
You
Choose and customize your tumblr theme. Think about the aesthetic you're drawn to.
Make an introduction post. These are incredible for making yourself 'public' for the first time, and for finding other writeblrs. Typically, you write a little about yourself, your goals, your favorite genres / tropes, and then move onto potential WIPs (if applicable). Use the tag #writeblrintro to browse for examples.
Ideally, you already have an idea or some sort of work in progress you can talk about. If you do, make an intro post for your wip, including: genre, POV, status, synopsis, tropes / themes. Make a collage using images that summarize key elements of your wip. Use the tag #wipintro to browse for examples.
Reblog quotes, images, etc. that fit your blog's aesthetic or your wip's. Create a tagging system to categorize your posts/reblogs. Common tags include #writing, #writeblr, #writeblr community.
Don't shy away from posting your progress. Be present!
Community
Follow and interact with other writeblrs. Find wips that interest you and ask to be added to the tag list.
Join @welcometowriteblr or participate in their events (you do not have to be a member).
Participate in @flashfictionfridayofficial every friday (they give great prompts).
Participate in and initiate tag games where you tag other writeblrs to answer questions about their writing.

Writeblr Introduction!
Hi everybody! I’ve been lurking on Writeblr for ages but, since I just finished school, I finally have time and the spoons to make my writeblr introduction! I’ve already reblogged a lot of reference, advice, resources, and inspiration posts on this blog, both for my own use and for anyone with similar interests, but now I’m going to post my own writing as well.
I’m a queer, poc writer and artist working out of North America. My writing style tends toward weird fiction and fantasy, which means that I read and write a lot of horror, fantasy, urban fantasy, and speculative pieces. I’m most comfortable with short fictions (the shorter the better!) but am dipping my toes into long-form fiction with several novel projects. I also recently fell in love with writing screenplays, so that may rear its head sporadically here as well. I also run a short poetry insta (@un.tethered.dreams) and have plans for several blogging projects as well (updates to come)!
Beyond creative fiction, I am also fascinated with the craft of writing, what it takes, why some things work and some don’t, etc. I spent some years going to uni for neuroscience in a different life so science, particularly biology, is an ongoing interest. I also draw traditional art and am learning digital art, so you might see some of that on this blog as well. (Can you tell that I have a problem with overcommitment yet?)
My current projects/priorities include:
The Walls Have Ears and Thorns (Working Title)
Genre: Fantasy
Length: Novel (series?)
Stage: Worldbuilding/First Draft
Set in the world of Chinese Wuxia novels with themes and elements from both Chinese history and Western high fantasy, The Walls Have Ears and Thorns follows Yinning (隐宁), our asexual and non-binary protagonist, as they struggle to reconcile past sins, political intrigue, and the possibility that, despite everything, they are deserving of love.
Tags: walls have ears and thorns, wip wheat
Translation/retellings of Chinese history/myth/folklore (taking suggestions for a better title)
Genre: non-fiction
Length: undetermined, one-shots
Stage: planning/testing
Translations and retellings of stories from ancient Chinese history. These will come out of both Chinese history/reference books and from my own childhood. I'm currently gauging interest in the project and planning how it will work with Patreon and/or Ko fi (because I am currently unemployed and want to build toward self-employment in the creative field). More info here. First sample retelling here. Second retelling here. More details to come.
Tags: chinese history, retellings, translation project (proper project tag to come with new title)
Herbiary Tarot
Genre: fantasy, reference
Length: Book + card deck
Stage: research
Almost done my research of tarot cards and their interpretations based on the decks I have and reference books. The vision for the final project will be a series of linked drabbles related to each card that lead the reader on an exploration of an imagined realm masquerading as the mundane, rather like how bestiaries look to us now. I’m still undecided whether the drabbles will segue into a plotted story told in snapshots. Next step is deciding whether the deck will be high fantasy or urban fantasy.
Tags: herbiary tarot wip, herbalism tarot wip, herbal tarot wip, tarot wip
Trouble (Working Title)
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Length: Novel (series?)
Stage: Worldbuilding/First Draft
When her aunt Cynthia disappears, leaving only a mysterious voice-mail message, Selena must abandon her life as a university student and bookstore clerk and embrace her heritage as one of the Morriganna, ancient prophets of war and doom, in order to stay alive and save her family. Her first task: decide if she can trust the young man who walked into her bookstore, the latest heir and black sheep to a family of Morriganna hunters.
Tags: wip trouble
Daily Flash Fiction
Genre: flash fiction, micro fiction
Length: self-contained
Starting next week, I’ll be committing to writing six pieces of flash fiction a week (one per day plus a rest day). The goal is to get into the rhythm of writing regularly. I’ll be posting these works on my blog and cross-posting here as well. For inspiration, I’ll be working my way through Wikipedia’s list of phobias.

Good morning all you amazing readers and writers and anything in between!
I have made my first Writeblr introduction!
I am very new to it all. I am even new to tumblr. I have been trying to farmiliarize myself with the app and get to know a little bit about it. I actually kind of like it, well at least starting to, now.
I have been writing for a bit, but I had stopped for about 5 years or so, for reasons I won't get in to. I have come accustomed to the app and how it works and figured it is about time to introduce myself.
My name is Kristin R. Summers. I am female and I am currently 20 years old with my birthday coming up fast in about 30 days. I feel I am a beginning writer though I have dabbled in writing for a few years before the five year break. I got Tumblr, because my friend forced me too XD :) Nah, I am kidding, she told me about it more than once and how she got her story stuff on there and thought it may be a good idea for me to do the same. Its a writers playground social media app and so now I exist here.
I like to read, but I don't do it much due to something wrong with me :) When I read to myself I tend to not comprehend things well. I struggled with it through school, but I still love to read and figure the more I do it, maybe I will get better at it someday. I love reading dramas, light romances that aren't too graphic, supernatural stuff, horror, thrillers, and sci-fi. I'll try and read anything, but sometimes it catches my eye and sometimes it doesn't.
I like to write. If that wasn't obvious. Haha, but I do. I love writing horror stories mostly, supernatural stories. Given I haven't wrote anything in a while, lately thats the only thing I have wrote, but given a chance, I can see myself writing a light romance drama story or even something sci-fi, but almost always my stories are made up and complete fiction.
My preferred writing POV is first person. It always has been. I have wrote in third person, but it never comes out the way I want it to. First person is easier for me and more personal. I always try to stick with first person in the present tense.
Things I am most likely to post about:
I will have a WIP Intro posted in just a bit following this Writeblr Intro.
I have two more I want to do as well, and mostly anything I write here on out will have WIP intros on this app
I will mostly likely post updates for my stories either on Mondays and Fridays or Saturday and Wednesday, I may only do it once a week, it is undecided. (How particular of me)
I also want to start a daily writer's quote thing, because I like writers quotes and the impact they make on some people and it is a big help to learn the app more and get my personal thoughts out there.
I am gradually learning more being on this app everyday. I am falling more and more in love with it. I want to learn and get exsperience and get ideas and such from this app, and so far it has been an amazing find.
Thank you to all the wonderful people who took their time to read this post, it means so much to me. Hope you enjoyed my writeblr intro!

♡ Writeblr intro ♡
Hello!
I may be a new to writeblr but am by no means a new writer. I’ve been writing since I can remember, and it’s one of my dreams to be published :)
fun fact : I used to hate writing poetry because I couldn’t rhyme to save my life...still can’t rhyme, but LOVE writing poetry now! I know poetry doesn’t need to rhyme but it took myself a long time to convince myself of that!
Now I spend most of my days online thinking of new ideas for poems, short fiction, and novels.
I have three WIPs right now. One is a poetry book called Spilled Milk, the other is a short story collection called A Promise to Make is a Promise to Break, and the third and final one is a novel I am working on called Airplane Mode.
I love surrealistic stories and poems. I’m a fan of psychological thrillers and contemporary fiction. I enjoy the nitty gritty that most people are to uncomfortable to actually talk about, not because it is stuff that I support but rather I want people to get an inside look of from a different perspective. I want people to be perplexed and disgusted all at the same time. Think, Lolita.
I identify as nonbinary using the pronouns they/them, I am 18 and bisexual. I have a boyfriend whom is the light of my life (and fire of my loins.) I’ve been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder since I was fourteen years old and it has been a fucked up journey, one that I’m not even half way done with yet. It’s a hard illness but I truly believe it has made me as great of a writer as I am now. I want people to see the truly dark sides of mental illness, not the overly glamorized ones. I want them to see the abuse of others, the guilt tripping, the unintentional manipulation, all of the things that make people angry - and all of the things that are all apart of mental health, The ones that aren’t glamorized or talked about nearly enough.
If you want to see some cool, twisted, messed up writing give me a follow and reblog! I want some mutuals :) if you want some more writing friends also hit that follow button!

Writeblr Intro
Hey y'all!
So I've been using this account for about a year now, mostly to post or reblog writing things, but I've never made an official introduction...
So here we are! My name is Annie *waves*, but I write under the pen name Elle Winters. Currently I'm tackling several projects. My main wip is a historical fiction spy thriller set in Berlin during WWII, and on the side I've been working on a YA fantasy and a few short stories. I hope to compile said short stories into a collection, eventually... but we'll see how it goes ;)
Since these are still works in progress, I'll just refer to them by initials instead of their titles.
RNF is my spy thriller. My main characters are Hannah Rössner, Kurt Lehmann, and Nina Spiegel (and they all drive me insane). I'm about halfway through and looking to finish it up (hopefully) by the end of the year! Here's my synopsis:
--
In 1939, all she wanted to do was escape Berlin with her family. But when the rise of Nazism cuts all remaining ties with the safety of the world outside, Hannah Rössner finds herself seeking out the most unlikely allies: a wealthy—if eccentric—baroness and her government-employed nephew.
Armed with little more than sheet music and spite, Hannah’s goal transforms into something far more desperate, far more dangerous. A goal that will drive her to risk anything and everything.
Survive.
--
If you ever see me complaining about my wip, it’s 157% likely that it’s because I wish Hannah were real so I could punch her in the face. (I swear, I have no control over this story at all. She is the captain now)
I’ve tagged a few writeblrs I follow for help and inspiration, and also because they’re just flipping amazing. Thanks to @heywriters, @the960writers, @bookishdiplodocus, @brynwrites, @she-who-fights-and-writes, @writing-prompt-s, @thatwritergirlsblog, @bucketsiler/ @theliteraryarchitect, @the-modern-typewriter, @michaelbjorkwrites, @neil-gaiman, @chocolategate, and the hundreds (if not thousands) of other writeblrs out there. You all are incredible and such a source of inspiration as I’m starting out on this writing adventure :)
Anyway! I'd love to get more involved in the writeblr community, so if you're a writeblr let me know and I'll follow your page!
May the odds be ever in your favor, fellow writers!

Hello, writeblr!
My name is Isabella, and I'm a new writer. I've had this tumblr account for a while, but haven't done anything with it until very recently. I've been looking around the writeblr community, and there are so many great writers, great people, and so much positivity! I decided that, seeing as I'm a writer, it sould be fitting for me to find my own place here.
Currently I have one work in progress, titled "The New Year" which is a working title I'm not very sure of. The New Year is a YA Romance/Coming of Age sort of story, with two main characters/love interests, Cecora and Rubelin. It is in the barest of first drafts, meaning I've planned most of it out but have only truly written two pages of actual story. But it will get there :p.
Asides from my WIP I drabble in poetry and will respond to any writing prompts you throw at me.
anyways, here's some facts about me:
I am fourteen, pansexual, and use she/her pronouns
I'm a hufflepuff although I've always wanted to be a ravenclaw, and a pices
I want to be really active in the writeblr community, so feel free to leave me asks recomending a good WIP or account to check out (even if it's your own!)
I mostly read romance, ya, and adventure, but am honestly open to reading/writing anything that interests or inspires me
Some Writeblrs that inspire me are @holotones @melwrotethat and @yikescomma
That's all I've got for now! See you around hopefully!

Howdy! New writeblr presenting!
Heeey, my name is Bella. I’m a 21-year-old writer from Brazil, and I’m new to the writeblr community, and I’d love to follow and interact with more people!
I’ll post (mostly reblog though) writing advice, writing memes and information about my work in progress!
My favorite genre to write and read is YA, with a focus on fantasy, urban fantasy and science fiction. My current WIP is a four-year-old toddler called “Doorways”, an urban fantasy set in the city of Monte Royal in Canada, where sprite ex-detective Kale Boas needs to discover who has been making people dissapear (including his girlfriend, Juniper Graham). He is joined in his adventure by half-werewolf nurse Toriel and Calisto, the math european wizard.
I love to critique work and to get to know other people’s experience with their writing. Also memes. Gimme all your memes.
So interact with this post so I can follow you! Thanks <3

Writeblr intro
Hi, I’m Sapphire Clawe, this is my pen name. (“Hello, Sapphire Clawe.” And for the fact that as I typed that I thought of Finding Nemo, I’ll just go. *drops mic* Wait, we’re still going with this? Okay.) I work on fantasy and superhero works, which coincide quite well; and I also dabble in fanfics and joke posts. I also do theories and headcanons if you care. As for my WIP, I do share the link to beta readers, and my prologue is on my blog. But I plan to fully publish it instead of just posting bits and pieces to my blog. Thank you and good day.

Writeblr Intro
Hi there,
My name is Sam (he/him) and I'm 31 years old. I used to float around Tumblr as one-man-drinking-games, but that blog is gone now. So here I am.
I've been working on my WIP for way too long and it'll be way too long before I'm done with it. But It'll be nice to be here and interact with other writers for support and inspiration.
I love fantasy in as many forms as I can consume it. There is a magic in reading and writing that I cannot find anywhere else, and so magic is where my heart is set.
I used to write prose and poetry, so I guess I'll be doing some more of that also.
In the time since I started my main WIP. I welcomed two children into the world, and quit drinking forever along the way. My progress is slow for those reasons. But please reach out to me, ask me questions about my world because I love it so much and I cannot leave this story untold.
Until then,
Hollowpointpen

Mentions
Hi so I’ve noticed a couple of times I’ve been mentioned, it’s not come up on my notifications. Just researched this and apparently mentions from very new blogs are blocked by tumblr as spam, which is really annoying if you’ve just made a writeblr and want me to boost!
So if you’re mentioning me in a post while your blog is very new, please just send me a message as well and I’ll get on and reblog!
