They brought their own rhinestoned sparkly ladder the TASTE, the EXCELLENCE
It's called the Exo-atmospheric Starbird
WADE NO that's BULLYING
Wade just superplexed Stardust off the top of a really tall ladder and got a "holy shit" chant
Randy beat Seth, Seth cashed in and is now the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Tumblr media
Our guy looks good!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stardust vs Damien, Cody's ex and enemy
Tumblr media
He's getting booed, the audience loves Damien Mizdow
Tumblr media
He's like, pleading for them to stop the Cody chants 🥺
Tumblr media
He just screamed "what's my name!?"
youtube
Tumblr media
Randy's still got beef
Tumblr media
He's such a shit head most of the time but he's also got the most beautiful puppy dog eyes
It's perhaps his greatest weapon
I just know sometimes he looks at Cody like that and Cody's "I'm not in love" walls just CRUMBLE
And it doesn't happen often but sometimes he gets kinda quiet and sincere (as sincere as Seth can get lol) but it's just like, whew, an unstoppable combination, Cody can deny it all he wants but in those moments he's powerless
AND with the fluffy curls???? Geez

I seriously can’t stop thinking about Roman’s return at Summerslam, and it’s not just because I’m a huge Reigns fan and a huge fan of the Samoan dynasty.
This man grew up with a father whose job was a professional wrestler in the biggest wrestling federation in the world. Anyone who knows anything about that industry knows it’s one hell of a feat to be able to maintain a family in tandem with working for the WW(F).
This man was a talented football player. He worked hard to get somewhere in that field. He had a good woman by his side, a good career, a tight family. He was heading straight to the top. The NFL. And then found out about the leukaemia. Back to square one.
This man got released from two football contracts after his diagnosis, headed home and worked in a furniture installation warehouse with his cousins for 2 years.
This man’s father saw it in him. Just as it was in his older brother. One push, into the deep end, and he was training tirelessly to make it in the WWE. To garner the same respect his old man had, the same respect his cousins had, the same respect given to the Samoan wrestling dynasty.
This man smashes it in FCW, smashes it in NXT, smashes a Survivor Series debut at the age of 27.
This man has a long-time girlfriend, a 6/7 year old daughter, his cousins are working in the same company, he’s getting there, he’s working it. And then the beloved faction—The Shield—implodes.
This man is then shoved down everyone’s throats. This is the guy. The new face. The new Cena.
This man loses autonomy as a wrestler. Loses his creative freedom.
This man wins the 2015 Royal Rumble, only to be booed to no end, despite him supposedly being a baby face. A good guy. No guys, this is who you should be cheering for! See how we are pushing him? This should have been the biggest night of his life, but it was marred by a crowd so hateful towards his character, that he’d rather not remember it!
This man is now married. Is the official face of WWE, whose fan base doesn’t want him. They want him gone. They chant their disdain. Every. Single. Time.
This man continues to be given poor promos, poorly written scripts, is made to say lines that make him into a mockery. But he does it. He plays the game. He knows how this goes. It doesn’t take away the fact he is still one of the most gifted wrestlers of the modern era. But the fans don’t see that. They don’t want to.
This man has his championship opportunity taken from him at Wrestlemania. Fuck.
This man, for the next few years, continues to be pushed and pushed and pushed. Fights with his whole soul. He needs that respect. He deserves that respect. His nose is shattered, his face is split open by a former UFC champion.
This man, still billed as the face of WWE, is now to do what nobody expects of him. Defeat the phenom. The Undertaker. Potentially the most beloved character in the history of pro wrestling. More booing. Nobody believes he deserves it. Just more negativity.
And then, the same exact year, this man’s big brother passes away. But what does he do? He keeps it pushing. He will endure these challenges in order to earn that respect he so desperately needs.
This man continues to be booed and mocked and undermined, under appreciated. Until late 2018.
This man announces that his real name is Joe and he’s been living with leukaemia for 11 years. And it’s back.
For the first time, the WWE universe realise this is a real man. And the absence of said man highlights just how important he is.
This man, in February 2019, announces he’s in remission. Gets a taste of the humanity in the WWE universe. But now he’s floating about. He doesn’t know who he is. He’s pushed as a face, but knows he’s destined for something different, something that will command that respect.
In 2020, this man takes a break. Reinvents himself a bit. Taps into who he is, his culture, his family, his traditions.
And then at Summerslam 2020, The Big Dog returns. And there’s something different about him.
The Big Dog is now The Tribal Chief. The Head of the Table.
And you will Acknowledge Him.
For the next few years, this man raises the bar, lifts up his cousins, has the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker, Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Triple H, praising him. The greats can see it. That respect is so close, he can almost taste it.
By April 2024, this man has had one of the longest title reigns in WWE history. Over 1,300 days as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. He’s been pinned less than a handful of times within 4 years. He carried the company through COVID. He’s become the real face of the company whilst being himself, controlling his destiny, his promos, his image.
Yet… he’s still overlooked by the crowd. An undeserving champion some would say.
So you know what? Let’s give this to the man everyone loves. Another prodigy of a legendary family. Cody Rhodes.
Roman’s absence between Wrestlemania 40 and Summerslam 2024 proved just how loved he is. The fans thought they wanted one thing, they thought they wanted Cody. But once Roman Reigns is taken out of the equation… damn, this shit is kinda boring.
The “we want Roman” chants start. The world starts to crave his presence. They need him to come back. To have that genius moment of cinema. The way he commands a room without saying a single word.
During this man’s absence, the wrestling world mourns the loss of Sika Anoa’i. Roman Reigns’ father.
Married, 5 kids, a wife of 10 years, a career like no other, living with leukaemia, constantly working on himself… and now, the man who pushed him, the man who saw something in him, has passed on to the other side.
When those drums rang out in Cleveland on August 3rd 2024, everybody knew how big of a moment this was. Historical. Monumental. And as the Original Tribal Chief turns that corner, showing himself to the WWE universe for the first time since April… he got it.
The respect.
This man is more than a wrestler. He’s a warrior. The pop, the reaction, for his return at Summerslam… it’s never been more deserving. 14 years of trial and error, pain, loss, lack of identity, all paid off.
Because now, we all know. Everyone knows.
They acknowledged him.
Finally.
I’m so proud of him.

@ AEW GIRLIES (gn) who are interested in NJPW lore
with All In coming up, I need fans that only know Kota as Kennys insane boyfriend and Jay as the silly Bullet Club bastard to know about their history with each other (and Kenny/Hangman) which spans 5 years at this point, even more if you count in Jays time as a trainee in njpw (2015/16), so he like.. watched and learned from them all – anyways lets go with the rambling recap
Starting with Jays first title win and how it came to that: early 2018, Kenny was in the midst of a power struggle in Bullet Club, his relationship with Cody was getting more strenuous by the day and the non Elite BC members were getting tired of their BS.
Kenny, trying to legitimise his position as a leader, thought recruiting new promising talent to his side would help, so he offered a young Switchblade Jay White “the opportunity of a lifetime”.
Tumblr media
Jay accepted, only to attack him right after, and with that nothing could stop the threads holding Kennys BC together from rapidly unravelling.
Kenny would lose his US Heavyweight Championship to White soon after, and in the aftermath of the match even more. Hangman, finally taking a step out of his friend's shadow, got all up in Jays space, snatched the belt and obviously implied a challenge, but Kenny wouldnt have any of that. He pushed Adam aside and gave Jay his price back. (to the surprise of the crowd who expected Kenny to be more bitter apparently lol)
Tumblr media
Enter Cody. Opportunistic and sinister as he was at the time he immediately stoked the flames, snapping at Kenny why he wouldnt let Hangman have that moment.
They seem to talk it out but whoops, Cody attacks Kenny after all, Adam helping him.
Tumblr media
They are about to lay him out as Ibushi runs to Kennys aid, finally giving us the reunion people have been waiting for years.
Tumblr media
In the following months a lot happens, Adam gets his match with Jay (and is read to filth by him - it’s essential to watch that promo, here) but doesnt succeed, the Golden Lovers and Young Bucks have an emotional feud, Cody continues being a menace with Hangman at his side, Kenny finally wins the IWGP Heavyweight belt, the Golden Elite was formed, Cody is a sad lil bitch now, they were all kinda friends again, oh and Bullet Club split fr*.
[*On one side you had Kenny and his friends, on the other BC originals Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga plus his younger brothers and technically their dad? Things were kinda messy but thats technically the BC that stayed in Japan and made Jay White their leader. The last real appearance of the Elite as BC was at the inaugural All In, their indie PPV.]
Alright end of 2018/beginning of 2019 - Kenny loses his IWGP belt at Wrestle Kingdom (njpws wrestlemania) and quietly leaves NJPW with the Bucks, Cody and Hangman, starting AEW (things behind the scenes didnt work out as expected and nooj didn’t wanna cooperate with them at first)
So yeah. Ibushi. He was all alone again, but in the summer of 2019 finally manages what he was so close to in the previous year: winning the G1 tournament.
Tumblr media
He faced Jay White in the finals, who at that point firmly held Kennys position as Bullet Club leader and is the top gaijin of the company.
Tumblr media
Both him and Ibushi were together with Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito the top of NJPW. And all four would be involved in the main events of the following Wrestle Kingdom. Jay and Okada as titleholders, Naito and Ibushi as challengers.
Tumblr media
Well neither Jay or Kota came out victorious on the first WK night, but the following day, in a match for third place, Jay defeated Ibushi, making the latter the biggest loser of the event,,
Covid caused quite a mess in the following months - their next singles meeting wouldn't be till late 2020, during that years G1, where Jay gets another win over the Golden Star
Tumblr media
but is unable to reach the finals, in contrast to Ibushi, who wins the whole tournament for a second time.
Tumblr media
Jay doesn't wait and immediately brings up Kotas loss to him, demanding a match for the WK contract he's just won.
Tumblr media
Alright bada bing bada boom Ibushi-
Tumblr media
LOSES??
Yeah to the shock of everyone Jay actually managed to put himself in the main event for the following WK, thinking he'll face double champ Naito to dethrone him .. but Naito still wanted to face the G1 winner so Kota got his title shot regardless lol
so yeah we got Ibushi vs Naito on night one, and whoever wins that on day two against Jay
Tumblr media
In complete contrast to the previous WK Ibushi would not only be victorious on the first night, but also finally beat Jay for good, becoming the undisputed double champ, and God. (their words not mine)
Tumblr media
Which absolutely broke White, giving us a glimpse at whats really going on in the "Switchblade". He's so obsessed with success, finally wanting HIS moment, his era, and despite everything he's sacrificed it doesn't seem to happen..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(pls watch the whole promo, its an insane performance)
He'd show up for one last "contractually obligated" match, battered and bruised, taking the pin in a multiman tag match between Bullet Club and Chaos, before leaving everyone in the dark for month about whats next for him.
Tumblr media
He'd stick with NJPW for two more years, returning even more unhinged than he already was.
Kota would go on with his reign as double champ, till NJPW unified the titles to create the IWGP World Championship (a highly unpopular move with the fans), which he's the inaugural champion for.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jay would try his best in the New Japan Cup in hopes of getting another shot at Ibushi, but fall short in the quarterfinals - new focus new goal, he goes for the NEVER Openweight title, and becomes the first ever NJPW "Quadruple Crown" champ, having already held the IWGP US, Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship at that point.
Tumblr media
Ibushi, now with the IWGP World Championship, has his first proper defense with the new singles belt .. and loses to 2021 NJ Cup winner Will Ospreay, cutting his reign shorter than anyone expected.
Tumblr media
His bad luck doesnt end there tho, despite making it to the G1 finals for the fourth time in a row, he breaks his arm in said match and is unable to continue. He'll not appear in a NJPW ring again. Mistreatment by staff which caused serious trouble in his private life has him decide against re-signing with the company.
Jay in the meantime would shake things up overseas, defending his NEVER title, debut in IMPACT, be on weird terms with the Elite, lose the NEVER title, debut in AEW, oh and not return to Japan. For a full year, missing out on key events, which had even his BC mates start asking questions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After some rearranging within the club (kicking out old and recruiting new members) he’d finally return to Japan in the summer of 2022, swiftly dethroning IWGP World champ Okada, Jays last title reign in NJPW (youve might seen his first defence, at Forbidden door against Hangman, Cole and Okada).
Tumblr media
He’d hold the title till early 2023 and in good old switchblade fashion be this 👌 close to realising his errors, only to blame everyone else and lose his mind over it, getting involved in a “loser leaves Japan” match against Hikuleo (who had turned his back on Jay) and afterwards, cause that somehow wasnt enough, a “loser leaves NJPW” match against Eddie Kingston. And thats how we got Jay White in AEW, mf is in exile and acts like nothing ever happened lmao
Ibushi, whos last match had been in October 2021, would finally return to the ring in March 2023, at Josh Barnetts 9th Bloodsport event, and make his AEW debut at Blood and Guts, reuniting with Kenny, the Bucks and Hangman as the Golden Elite :)
So yeah both Kota and Jay had quite different paths (that crossed a lot) towards AEW, and as someone who's been watching them for so long now I'm absolutely giddy to see them face one another again - if youd have told me a year ago that I'd get to see Kota and Jay in the same ring again, cause of KENNY of all things, I'd have imploded on the spot (positive)

Facts about Imani Cove:
Imani started wrestling when she was 15 years old and trained under Booker T when she turned 16.
Imani is a HUGE fan favorite in WWE. Think of good crowd responses and big pops compared to Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and Rhea Ripley. She's also very well respected by WWE Executives backstage.
Imani graduated from Prairie View A&M University with her Bachelor's in Music and a minor in Theater. If she hadn't gone into wrestling, she originally wanted to pursue a Broadway career.
When Imani was 8 and her sister was still a newborn, her parents divorced and she went to live with her mother and her new husband in Georgia. Her mother would lose custody of both girls to her father when Imani was 10. The last time she saw her mom was when she was 12. She doesn't like to talk about her mother or that time she and her sister lived with her.
Before signing with the WWE, Imani was the certified it girl on the indie circuit from 2007-2015, kicking ass and racking up championships left and right, as well shattering the expectations of fans and critics alike.
Imani, though a social butterfly, tends to keep her private life extremely secretive, especially in regards to her childhood.
She's wrestled in promotions such as ROH, Reality of Wrestling, DDT-Pro Wrestling, NJPW, PWG, & Shimmer.
Imani holds a Guinness Book of World Records for most title defenses while holding the NXT Women’s Championship.
At the request of Booker T, Imani auditioned for the fifth season of Tough Enough in 2010, but sadly didn't make the cut.
Imani's entrance music is heavily influenced by a combination of 90s/00s hip hop and 2000s grunge, think the Linkin Park/Jay-Z collab.
In late 2014 she became a free agent and was almost immediately approached by WWE. The initial goal was to sign her and get her into an immediate feud with Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair, but Imani had been under a 90 day no compete clause at the time.
She finally signed with WWE in spring of 2015 and would make her first TV appearance on NXT TV in August. She would later confront Bayley during TakeOver London which would kick off their 5 month feud. Imani would win the NXT Women's Championship at TakeOver: Dallas.
Imani Cove still holds the record for longest title reign with the NXT Women's Championship at 522 days. She would lose her title to her friend and former tag team partner Ember Moon at TakeOver: WarGames in 2017. This would also be her last match in NXT before debuting on the main roster the RAW after WrestleMania 34 to begin a three-way feud between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss.
She would win her first RAW Women's Title at that year's Money in the Bank before getting cashed in on by Alexa to begin their feud. She would win the title back at Summerslam that year and would hold the title for 161 days before dropping it to Ronda Rousey at 2019 Royal Rumble.
During COVID, she held the Smackdown Women's Championship for the first time in her career for a total of 371 days, winning it against her tag team partner Bayley. She held the record for the longest reigning Smackdown Women's Champion until Rhea Ripley.
She has an amazing relationship with her sister and half-brothers and is very close to her stepmom Renee.
Imani is a huge fan of horror movies and musicals. Very weird combo I know, but she likes what she likes. Her favorites are Bram Stoker's Dracula and Little Shop of Horrors.
She's also a BIG ASS NERD. She loves Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Star Wars, and is currently obsessed with a show called The Legend of Vox Machina. She's played several campaigns of D&D with Xavier Woods.
As a teen Imani participated in dance, music, & theater arts. She also played volleyball, and competed in track & field.
She appeared in the first ever Women's Royal Rumble at entry number 4, lasting 35:46 before being eliminated by Asuka.
Her most favorite feuds have been with Ember Moon, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley.
In 2019, Imani made a surprise appearance as the mystery 4th member of Team Ripley at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.
At WrestleMania 38, Imani paid tribute to her Houston roots. She had a full escort of candy-painted slabs led by legendary Houston rapper Paul Wall.
The first thing she did with her first big WWE paycheck, aside from paying off her remaining student loans, was pay for her sibling's college and move her dad and stepmother to Orlando to be close to her.
Imani grew up in an affluent musical family. Her grandmother started as a jazz singer in New Orleans before becoming a background vocalist for artists like Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder. Her grandfather played trombone for Stevie Wonder (that's how they met).
Just two months after winning her second Smackdown Women's title at WrestleMania 38, Imani was in a terrifying car accident while at home in Orlando. She had to be pried from the car with the jaws of life and life lighted. Luckily, she had only suffered a fractured jaw, leg, and left arm, but still she was forced to relinquish her championship.
Imani would make an emotional return nine months later after her car accident and begin a feud with Bayley/Damage Ctrl before being drafted to RAW.
Right now Imani has 16 tattoos. She plans to get more in the future.
Thanks to her grandparents, Imani is a classically trained pianist and can also play the guitar.
Imani has two dogs and a cat: an orange male named Cheddar, a pitbull male named Brucey, and a Golden Retriever female named Cashew. Cashew was a birthday gift from Damian when she was a puppy.
Imani's signature fragrance is a perfume she had created at a local apothecary shop in New Orleans. It's a blend of vanilla, black orchid, and amber.
Her dream WrestleMania entrance would have Megan Thee Stallion performing her theme.
A few of Imani's major wrestling influences are Rey Mysterio, Chyna, Lita, Batista, Trish Status, Jaqueline, Eddie Guerrero, & Shawn Michaels.
She is very close friends with Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Becky Lynch, Zelina Vega, Ember Moon, Finn Balor, Samantha Irvin, Mia Yim, Cathy Kelly, & Jade Cargill.
She and Damian Priest have known each other the longest, since 2012 after first meeting at an ROH house show. They've been friends ever since and even lived together at one point.
Imani is fluent in both Spanish and French. She knows a good amount of Japanese though.
She has an intense sweet tooth. Her favorite candies are peach and watermelon rings and will go ham on a fudge brownie.
Two of her favorite matches in WWE so far have been a triple threat match between herself and Ember Moon for the NXT Women's Title at TakeOver: WarGames and main eventing WrestleMania 37 with Bianca Belair.
~~~~~~
*Notes:
this is an AU in which Asuka doesn't go to NXT but rather straight to the main roster.
Imani Cove mainly takes a good chunk of Sasha Banks' achievements and title runs but with slight changes.
Ronda Rousey does not win the RAW Women's title at Money in the Bank 2018 but instead Imani does. The only reason she loses to Ronda at the 2019 Royal Royal is due to Vince McMahon not believing Imani would be a big enough draw alongside Becky & Charlotte at WrestleMania 35.
Imani takes the place of Mia Yim as a surprise partner in the 2019 NXT Women's WarGames match, not Candace LeRae.
Imani Cove teams with Bayley to become the inaugural Women's Tag Titles, not Sasha Banks.
Imani Cove main events WrestleMania 37 with Bianca Belair, not Sasha Banks.
Thoughts of the state of the union address?
I thought President Biden was great and I hope we get that version of Biden on the campaign trail.
But I think that State of the Union was a perfect illustration of how Donald Trump has so blatantly shattered any sense of decorum in American politics. When Rep. Joe Wilson interrupted President Obama during Obama's health care speech to a Joint Session of Congress in 2009, it was absolutely shocking. Even Wilson's fellow Republicans criticized him for it at the time. But now it's just expected that the President is going to be heckled -- not by protesters in the gallery, but by elected members of Congress. And it's become acceptable. I mean, Marjorie Taylor Greene showed up to the SOTU dressed like Q-Anon Willy Wonka, and made the entire thing into a spectacle. It's gross. And there's a direct connection between that type of behavior and Trump's rise in politics.
If this was 2006, Joe Biden -- a traditionalist who revered the institution of the Senate -- would not have gleefully set traps throughout a speech just so he could smack down Republican hecklers. But that's not the country we live in anymore, so he has to do that. We had Biden basically tricking the MAGA Republicans into openly displaying their extremism on numerous occasions, and cutting promos like he's The Rock taunting Cody Rhodes about WrestleMania. Nobody is even pretending to be interested in bipartisanship, and I'm sorry but nothing gets done in this country without some bipartisan collaboration, so it's really unfortunate that we've fallen this far this quickly. If there was a graph demonstrating the nation's descent into total shitshow, the line would dramatically nosedive beginning in 2015 and there's no question about the reason why.
The Hounds Of Justice : The Story of The Shield
June 2, 2014 will always be a day that I will never forget as a wrestling fan. This is one thing that I will never get over as a fan. My heart was shattered into a million pieces when an event that I never thought would happen. I am talking about the break up of The Shield. I am sure that we all remember where we were the night it happened.
The Shield was a popular faction in WWE consisting of Dean Ambrose ( now Jon Moxley in AEW ) , Roman Reigns , and Seth Rollins. The three Superstars made their main roster debut on November 18, 2012 at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View. Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose were originally supposed to be bodyguards for CM Punk, however , that changed and all three of them became huge main event names. They became dominant during six man tag team matches , having an undefeated streak on WWE Programming from December 2012- May 2013 , when they scored the biggest win of their careers , at Wrestlemania 29. Reigns and Rollins went on the win the Tag Team Championships while Ambrose went on to win the United States Championship at Extreme Rules the same year. Ambrose made history when he held the US Championship for a year in May 2014. Soon, The Hounds of Justice would face trouble.
In June of 2014 ,The Shield had a feud with Evolution, a faction consisting of Triple H , Randy Orton , Ric Flair , and Batista. On the June 2 , 2014 episode of Monday Night RAW , Triple H escorted Randy Orton to ring for a match and cut a promo on The Shield. Triple H stated that there was always a ‘ Plan B ’ for himself and Randy Orton , with Batista quitting WWE the same night to focus on his acting career. Thus, Rollins betrayed Reigns and Ambrose by hitting both of them with a style chair and aligning with Orton and Triple H , becoming the newest member of Evolution and The Authority. Reigns and Ambrose would be a tag team until June 16, 2014. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins would feud until 2015. During Payback, the Hounds of Justice would have a small reunion when they Powerbombed Randy Orton through the announce table. In 2016 , the three would have a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship, in which , Ambrose, who was the champion , would retain. The same year, they would be on opposing sides on Survivor Series with Reigns and Rollins representing Team RAW while Ambrose represented Team Smackdown Live. Thus, this lead to another small reunion.
The Shield reunited one more time in 2019 for a match against Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Baron Corbin at the Fastline Pay Per View. This would be the last time Reigns , Rollins , and Ambrose would share a ring together as Ambrose’s contract with WWE was ending. Dean Ambrose left WWE the same year and made his debut at All Elite Wrestling ( AEW ) as Jon Moxley and become a member of The Blackpool Combat Club. He has won the AEW World Championship three times. Seth Rollins would go on to have the Monday Night Messiah gimmick and win the Inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2023 . He is a five time WWE Champion. Roman Reigns went on to become The Tribal Chief and have a record setting Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign of 1,316 days before being defeated by Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania 40. Nevertheless, Reigns also got his revenge on Rollins the same night by hitting him in the back with a chair. Seth Rollins stated that the next time fans will see The Shield reunite will be at their WWE Hall of Fame Induction.
My Final Thoughts:
The Shield will forever be a legendary faction in WWE and in Professional Wrestling. They were what made WWE Programming during that time period. Knowing that they also had successful solo careers makes me feel like they will always be remembered individually as well. I’ll confess that I was a major Roman Reigns girl. I hope that fans can remember them for what they did as a group and individually. When they broke up , I was raging. What about you? How did you feel when The Shield broke up? Who was your favorite member?
Love You All,
- Kay
Wrestling conspiracy theory:After watching the Wrestlemania 40 documentary, I FIRMLY believe without a hint of doing it for the bit, that Cody Rhodes, Triple H, Paul Heyman, and Roman Reigns all saw Brian Gewirtz plan to have the Rock beat Roman in the main event and then vacate the title and name himself the people's champ and said "Fuck that we'll make him do business."
Crucial to this I believe no one involved had the ability to tell the Rock no, or could afford to offend the Rock outright.
In Roman's case in particular I do not believe he carried that title for three years through Leukemia that evidently made him want to stay in bed some days and wanted to end it on a sour note.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out he doesn't want to work with Rock period, after all Rock didn't do business when Roman needed it and was getting booed as a babyface, he did it when Reigns was the hottest thing on the planet and Rock had egg on his face from the Hawaii debacle and Black Adam failing, and the hit piece on Red Notice came out.
So I think Roman, who had a front row seat to how out of touch the Rock was when Rock was shocked and angry to get booed at the Royal Rumble in 2015, Triple H who saw how the fans hijacked WM 30, 31, 32, 35 etc and knew the fans would play their part, Cody who had an obvious vested interest gave Rock bad info.
"Sure man, he'll just win this rumble match so we don't damage his character, the fans will love seeing you back, you're the Rock" knowing damn well the Cody movement would happen the same as it did for Daniel Bryan.
Since I believe the Rock is only back to help his public image, this would effectively force the Rock's hand and then they all played innocent like "Hey, we all know what those internet fans are like right cuz?"
PART 1
Seth Rollins and Kynlee Lockwood were on top of the world circa 2015, champions, the faces of the company. The world heavyweight champion and the divas champion were untouchable with The Authority in their corner, until Seth’s knee gave out. Kynlee made her leave from the company during this time, no longer feeling she got the respect she deserves but what happens when Seth returns to fight Hunter and the odds need to be evened?
(some events in this will not be timeline accurate)
Being a part of The Authority was never easy so after Seth tore his right ACL, MCL and medical meniscus lets just say things were never the same. Kynlee valued the time she had previously spent by the World Heavyweight Champion’s side, dominating the men's and women's respective divisions so when he was no longer around the champ had lost motivation... she was being scheduled in matches against the likes of Eva Marie and Alicia Fox most of them not lasting longer then 5 minutes, this ultimately left her to take an indefinite leave of absence from the company.
------------------------------------------------------------
MONDAY NIGHT RAW - February 15th 2016
(103 days since Seth’s injury)
Walking down to the ring to the beat of her entrance theme accompanied by an overwhelming light display with the Diva’s title clasped around her waist, a microphone in her hand and a void expression on her face Kynlee only had one thing on her mind... Change.
“Cut my music!”
Whispers and low mumbles of confusion emit from the crowd, normally if the Divas champ was in the ring The Authority would be hot on her heels so to say this was unusual is an understatement.
“I know a lot of you will be confused as to why I'm here and normally I would be standing here boasting about my position with this title belt around my waist but tonight's different. You see for the last couple of months things haven't been right, I no longer feel valued in this company for the talent I hold and the revenue I bring to this business so it is in my best interest to cut my losses and leave before I can be buried like many other women in this roster and the wrestling world. We are not valued for the amount of work we put in to this job because most of us don't get more than five minutes of air time.”
“I was naïve enough to believe in joining The Authority I would be able to showcase my talent and help others on the roster during our matches together,  but it took my best friend’s knee caving in to realise even though I'm at the highest point I can be in my career things don't always improve they can get worse. Seth... just know that me leaving isn't me abandoning you, when you return you will continue to defy odds and win back the title you never lost and I will be there cheering you on every step of the way, you will continue your story but unfortunately for me... mine ends here.”
“I lay down my title in hope that one day the women's division is respected and valued just as much as the men’s because we deserve it, The WWE has a platform to showcase the talent of women and changes need to be made for the benefit of the amazing ladies behind that curtain and the business”
Dropping the mic to the floor and placing the pink and silver butterfly belt in the middle of the ring, Kynlee begins her ascend back up the ramp, never once turning back but her strong façade falters for the first time that night.
EXTREME RULES 2016 - Newark, New Jersey
Its been three months since the departure of Kynlee Lockwood and change has  definitely been made since then. The Authority had disbanded in April. The Diva’s title has since been retired and a triple-threat match had been held at WrestleMania 32 to crown Charlotte as the inaugural WWE Women’s Champion. Roman Reigns had defeated Triple H to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
One thing hadn't changed and that was the return of Seth Rollins.
Seth’s POV
“Hey, how are you?”
The sweet southern twang travelled through my private trailer as Kynlee stepped through the door.
“I’m good, just got cleared for tonight still got some swelling but nothing on the joint so. Mentally I'm still preparing I mean there's only the cage match, the women’s and then main event”
Kynlee’s hand reached out to hold mine and I felt at ease with the subtle touch, she brought me a kind of comfort that cannot be found anywhere else but with her, within her arms and under the soft gaze of her eyes. I didn't know the extent of this warm feeling that had protected me in the months of my rehab. Could it be love? True unconditional love?  I had no doubt that without her I wouldn't have the opportunity to return to my passion as quick as I did, she was my motivation.
Kynlee’s POV
 “Why don’t you come back with me, We could do it all again I mean no one’s done it as good as we did, as good as you.”
Staring into his deep brown eyes I could tell he wanted it, he was pleading for it. I wanted it too. I really did but not yet.
Seth and I had grown closer during his rehab process, closer then friends but that was a secret always hidden behind doors (mainly gym and hospital ones), to admit I'm scared is an understatement, I'm scared about what if Seth’s not ready? what if I go back but Seth gets injured? what if Seth excels like I know he will but I'm forgotten because I left?
“Seth I'm not sure. I mean you left because you had to you had to take care of your physical health and preserve you mental health. I left because I got upset. I left for a selfish reason. I was an embarrassment to the company when I left they wouldn't want me back”
Tears well up in my eyes as I feel a rough hand brush against my cheek the soft aroma of Seth’s cologne welcomes me into a sense of tranquillity. It was the subtle things that help ground me and Seth knew that, a look of reassurance, the linking of our hands or the warmth of him embrace.
Turning to the monitor on the wall it shows Charlotte and Natalya in the heat of their match both desperately scrambling to lock in submissions to pick up the win.
“You see that title, the title those two talented women are putting a hell of a show on for? You made that change, it was your speech and dedication that got the word Diva banned and that stupid butterfly belt retired. You gave the women their power back, so why not go claim yours? Baby go show that roster who does it best who's got the longest historic reign for a women's belt.”
----
EXTREME RULES - MAIN EVENT
“OMG ITS-  ITS SETH ROLLINS!”
“ITS SETH ROLLINS, A PEDIGREE!”
“SETH ROLLINS IS BACK!, SETH ROLLINS IS HERE A PEDIGREE TO THE CHAMPION”
“Seth Rollins a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and remember he never lost the title he was forced to vacate it due to injury last year”
As the show closes the last scene is Seth Rollins with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in his grasp with his former shield brother Roman Reigns at his feet.
After returning backstage and receiving a large amount of praise and complements Seth could only think of one thing and that was the women he had grown to love who sat waiting proudly in his trailer, he showed the world he could come back and concur and that's what he going to help her do.
She had Redesigned the women’s image in the WWE ,
helped Rebuild a broken Seth Rollins,
and now she needs to Reclaim her title and division.
I’m reading Becky Lynch’s book and, while I was expecting lots of cute 4HW stories mostly with Charlotte, but I was surprised at how many there were with Mercedes.
- When Becky started NXT and was lost in the shuffle (the famous Irish jig gimmick) Mercedes took her under her wing and they became close.
- She also regularly helped Becky do her makeup, a tradition that continued onto the main roster.
- She went to the ER with Becky after Nia punched her.
- Her and Bayley looked after Becky after she got injured in 2015.
- The WrestleMania 32 match was originally supposed to be a 1v1 Mercedes vs Charlotte, but Brie Bella encouraged Becky to ask V*nce to be included in the match because they all debuted together, and Mercedes supported her.
Team BAE, you will always be iconic.
Wow, this is genuinely so awesomeeeeee. Especially knowing she helped her doing her makeup, that is just so heartwarming. I love them so much.
I’m gonna stat to read it as soon as I can!
