Here's another concept for Broken Horizon - a dragon pilot saddle! Ft. Alex as the model (and Riptide as the pilot, even if you can't see his face)

Modern saddles were jointly developed by dragons and humans post-war to make dragon riding safer and flying more precise, as regular reins and voice commands quickly became obsolete.

In these saddles the control sticks on the pilot's seat transmit inputs to the steering modules, which are then interpreted into nerve impulses for the dragon to follow. However they are not hard commands, and the dragon can still choose to ignore the impulses for any reason. This means that the dragon and the pilot must have an incredibly strong trust bond for the best performance.

got distracted by the second question. look at my little guys:

these are some of the current (working) designs!! from left to right it's sheikah, zora, hylian, goron, and gerudo! these aren't necessarily the average builds/designs for each race but they're the most important character from each race lol. sword of fate takes place really early-on in the timeline, so the culture and separation of races is still kind of loose especially among the humanoid races. the current generation of zora is basically the first generation to call themselves zora and attempt to establish a government or hold any authority alongside the other races of hyrule, and because they're kind of a young race i imagine they're less fishy and more invertebrate-like in this stage, hence my jellyfish princess! (her dad is a giant squid lol.) the sheikah are descendants of the original surface humans, whereas the hylians and gerudo are two seperate sects that both originally came from skyloft. the hylians built a few villages which each have their own distinct vibe while the gerudo took a more nomadic approach and roam the desert in small independently governed groups. The gorons are the most well-established race at this point, having been on the surface a lot longer than basically everyone else, and so they have a much stronger culture and shared identity than a lot of the other races that are still kind of getting their footing.

I went to my ten year high school reunion yesterday and had a really nice time overall. Im much more outgoing now than I was then so I ended up talking to a lot of people, most of whom I didn't know at all in school. And what struck me most I think is how not a single person I talked to was where they thought they'd be in their life. No one had the job they thought they'd have, many people dropped out of college, and while there were a couple married people there were far more who were single and struggling to get back into dating, or who had gone through recent breakups.

I went into the event pretty self-assured. I don't have the job I thought I'd have but I live with good people, and have a partner who makes me happy. But I was still a little worried that everyone else would be more "together" than me, but I think when it came down to it we were all just messy 20-somethings getting wine drunk in the back yard of a pub . Overall very positive experience for me
