(same anon that asked about watching the rest of season 11) I actually think Daryl in the commonwealth will be a really interesting dynamic. If you remember back in Acheron, part two I think?? He sees a mural depicting social classes. It's clear that the commonwealth treats it's higher class citizens better than lower class, all because of what they did prior to the apocalypse. Since the beginning, Daryl has dealt with escaping prejudices due to his upbringing + lack of employment prior to the end of the world.
I respectfully disagree that they'll drag out the reaper arc further than maybe the middle of 11B, or the end of it *at most*. There's too many plots going on to devote all the limited run time to a group that's not even popular. I think we're going to see Daryl display his character growth as he's faced with a classist society which he previously would've felt shunned from. I can't wait to see how secure he's become with himself since that episode in season 4 with Beth (remember he stole the cash and later talked about living in a shitty house?)
Sorry this is super long, I just have a lot of thoughts about how Daryl's character will keep evolving. I'm not a fan of Leah but I also don't think he stopped loving his family whilst he was away in mourning. I've loved seeing how analytical he's become and it absolutely will help him and everyone else once they're in the Commonwealth and need to be all stealthy- just like how he was while pretending to be a Reaper!
No, yes, I agree that it'd be interesting to see him deal with Commontwealth, it's just that I have a soft heart when it comes to Daryl and I think he's going to have a hard team dealing with all this classist thing, character growth or not, I don't think it'll be easy for him and commonwealth people are going to be dicks to him for sure.
I'm sure that I'm going to have a hard time watching him there because I'm stupid and suffer as if he were real.
Everyone dislikes the Reapers plot besides the writers hahaha so I don't know what will they do.
No, I don't think he stopped loving his family, it's not that what I mean, but what he's admitted is that he regrets that he didn't stay with Leah, and when she asked where he belonged, it took him a bit that he belonged with her, not with his family. She was (and I guess I can't blame if he's in love even if they don't care to show him) now his top priority, and she'd still be, hadn't they end in different sides of a conflict involving his family. And if she's the love of his life, then yeah, sure she'd be his top priority over everyone else, and me, writing cringy, corny romance novels, should get it better than anyone, but still, it makes me feel uneasy, especially that he still thinks like that. I guess I'm selfish.
