Yesterday some1 called and was like “ur new boba caused an allergic reaction in my boyfriend Bc no one told us it had honey in it :\. We’ve been coming here for years”

& I was just like.......... “I’m sorry for your boyfriend and I hope he’s okay, but the marinade that has the honey in it is the exact same that we always have used. The boba itself does not have honey in it.”

She was like “idk why then but you should still let people know it has honey in it”

& I was just . “Okay.”

#speculation nation #literally honey allergies are not common afaik #i cant just tell every single person there’s honey as a precaution #if ppl ask about how it’s sweetened yea i tell them it sits in honey!#but you should ask those kinds of things if ur allergic to it #..... 🤔🤔 ya kno we did run out of the usual longan honey we use for boba. and we instead were using the normal honey we use for drinks #..... maybe thats why. hmm.#would someone be allergic to like clover honey but not longan honey????? thats rly weird #theyve got a bit different of a taste but i wouldnt think theyd be That different chemically....#(also just so y’all know apprently the guy was fine. just not happy about the allergic reaction)
