I don’t think I ever mentioned, but making gifs and whump lists helps a lot with my anxiety (plus I really love doing them), and at a particular bad day an ideia came to life: WhumpTrope wiki! I know that probably something like this might already exist (something like the amazing Whumpapedia Wiki, but it would be more organized by tropes, with plot descriptions of the whump moments), but like I said, working on stuff like this really helps me.
And maybe it’s one of those things that never actually leave the excel sheet, maybe not. I just wanted to share it, in case someone finds it interesting (I’m having lots of fun hashaha)
Here are some of the tropes I have so far:
I can take it all! - A self-sacrifing whumpee is not made just from jumping in front of a bullet or staying behind to press the kaboon button. Sure, we love those. But what about the whumpee accepting the pain and hurt for the sake of others? "Take me instead" is a subtrope of this. Or the one who put themselves in danger, without friends knowing, so these don't have to? So many possible scenarios, so much lack of self-preservation!
I’m not poisoned, you’re poisoned -  Whumpee doesn't reveal or doesn't admit that they were poisoned (or suffering with its effects), and keeps moving foward. Maybe the situation even asks for that, but they can't fake forever. Subtrope for "poisons and drugs"
You broke my heart -  Whumpee is betrayed by someone close, someone important, and it hurts. Emotionally, physically, through flashbacks, it doesn't matter. It hurts.
On the run - Ah, don't you love the feeling of the whumpee running for their life? The fear, worry, angst, and all the possible wounds the road can bring? It doesn't matter if it's for a single episode or a whole season, run, whumpee, run!
Pleading - "Just stay awake", "Talk to me", "Please don't leave me", "Just keep breathing/hang on". If someone is pleading, another is badly hurt. It could end with the character's death, or they might just recover after this (hopefully to get whumped later again)
What a blast! - Explosions on fiction rarely kills. Instead, we are  given a whumpee with a concussion, temporary blindness, trapped in rumbles, or the least whumpy of it all: some scratches and a sooty face. Fortunately there's many other possibilities and subtropes to all whumpy tastes.
Till I bled - The character is so worried, so afraid, of the fate of loved ones, that keeps punching a wall, digging, or any other variant, till their hands are covered in blood. Burned hands also work. Or maybe they do it just to feel the pain. Could be related to "bloody hands" or "self-harm"
Just a drop - The emotion is there, and it's the perfect moment to let it all out. But all we can see is a single tear, coming down beautifully through the whumpee's face. They are putting a brave facade? It's a tear of sorrow or frustration? We'd just wish they would openly cry already
Helping hand - When a loved one (who can very well be another whumpee) is hanging by a thread, at a cliff, bridge, building,... and the character desperaly tries to hold, to save them. They could be exhausted,  they could be hurt, they could manage or not to save the loved one. Oh, the angst!
Sadness and sorrow - Just imagine: the whumpee alone somewhere, maybe too sad or ashamed to face anyone, maybe he doesn't have anyone to go to (or feels like it doesn't) and is really lonely. You can almost hear the sad soundtrack.
Supernatural conexion - Whumpee has a supernatural/magical conexion with something or someone, which causes them pain. Could be related to "mind control"
