my favorite thing about comics specifically is how much it checks your ego if you think you know how to draw characters. like i’m pretty sure people who don’t do comics assume the hard part would be how *many* drawings are involved in making a comic, and sure that’s part of it, but i think the real challenge is having to accept you’re not as good at drawing characters as you think you are. being able to depict a convincing character, a dynamic pose, or even an expressive face out of context as opposed to within a narrative is such a different skill set in ways i don’t think a lot of people realize

Cassidy finally gets some of what's coming to her part: 1.

This is based on a scene from chapter 5 of my novel! The Good Luck Duo were bullying Oscar again, and Corvid rushed in to stop them, pinning them both to the floor. Mark's supposed to be there too if I was being accurate, but I haven't drawn him in a while and I didn't want to try here when I was already struggling with a new perspective I've never done before. AKA, worm's eye view

I'm proud of how it came out though! It turned out better than I expected. I should try playing with perspective more often

Few thoughts for this day.. orginally I was gonna make a sequel to my first circus drawing I did for perspective day 1... but i was like "now what I finally join the trend..?' so I did Here the pander to the anime fans. Also I am MUCH better at bird's eye view since I have studied it more so we went slight worms view.... not that you could much since the lighting makes it hard... but!
