The Spring Break, Break Down

No, this post isn’t about having a breakdown during spring break. This post is supposed to be about what I did over spring break. 

It was interesting to see when spring break for students at other universities began. Our spring break began the week of March 4th, while some campuses began a week later. And while some students were jetting off to Miami, Cancun or other warm or fun places; or participating in alternative spring break activities, your blogger used her spring break to do numbers two and four on this list of Things to do During Spring Break. 

Since spring break fell within my birthday month I did manage to do a little of number eight on the list as well. I went home for the weekend and hung out with friends. I don’t want to share too much, but let me just say I always have to prepare my mind for the return trip back to school after a weekend of fun at home. After a bit of fun, it was back to working. (College is expensive and students can always use a boost in the wallet department.)

I also got to attend the 2018 Mid-Atlantic South Regional Conference dance gala concert on campus at the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Center for the Performing Arts. (Say that three times fast).There were several performances that stood out to me. The Dreams, James, and the Their Glaciers (a bit eerie, though) performances were solid. In the James performance they performed to Frank Ocean’s ‘Swim Good’ and Mali Music’s ‘Deep Blood Red’. The dancers were in timely unison and their movement fluid.They received a good audience response as well. Both songs were powerful and I enjoyed seeing them paired with the dance performance. It inspired me to add them both to my music playlist.

I got a 92 on my exam today that I spent lots of time studying for and didn’t even feel very confident about. I knew I would do okay maybe like b- which I’ve been shooting for A’s all semester and haven’t been getting them. I have no idea what I did different to achieve the higher grade this time which is a little frustrating... but I’ll take it!!
