Urban Tech Jobs Program - Open Info Session Jan 31 @ 2pm!
Hi,
We’re ramping up a new program at the Urban League of Portland called the Urban Tech Jobs Program! The Urban Tech Jobs Program is funded through a Department of Labor grant focused on getting long-term unemployed & underemployed individuals training & jobs in the tech industry. We’re currently recruiting for program participants and will be accepting applications through February 7th.
Support available to Urban Tech Jobs Program participants:
Urban League will provide job readiness & resiliency training as well as one-on-one career coaching
Program participants will have access to needs-based support, funds for technical training and certification, and connections to tech employers
Urban League will provide 100% of payment for program participants during on-the-job training
Following the on-the-job training, the goal is to connect candidates with long-term employment in the tech industry. I would really appreciate it if you’d spread the word to anyone you work with that you think might be eligible / interested in the program!
