Cat!Chloe WIP for my Disaster Duo AU.

Tagging @generalluxun, @goatlilly, @nionom-art, and @sillysiluriforme because they might like it (and hopefully give me some advice).

Elaboration for AU below:

During Origins the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous’ are accidentally given to Lila and Chloe. Lila becomes Lady Karma and Chloe becomes Clawdia. I call it the Disaster Duo AU (because these two as the heroes of Paris is a disaster!).

Some vague ideas for this AU: 

Imagined this mostly as a comedic AU that may or may not get more serious overtime (similar to Scarlet Lady).

Eventually ends in Chloe redemption. I’m on the fence on whether or not to have Lila redemption too or have her become a villain.

Exact circumstances to Lila and Chloe gaining the Miraculous: Instead of putting the Miraculous in his room Fu puts it in Adrien’s bag and it falls out, leading to Chloe accidentally finding it. So she becomes Clawdia and fights Stoneheart with Ladybug (Marinette). The entire time Clawdia is super condescending to Ladybug and treats her like a sidekick, so Marinette doubly feels unworthy this time and hands them off to her new friend Lila, she seems pretty trustworthy right? (After a while Chloe starts to kinda miss Ladybug, at least she didn’t grandstand like Lady Karma.)

Immediately after Stoneheart Chloe reveals her secret identity to Sabrina (and maybe Jean, or he finds out on his own because Chloe’s bad at hiding it) to have her own Robin/Alfred. (She forces Sabrina to make excuses for her when she runs off to transform.)

The public likes Lady Karma more since she can undo all the damage from akuma attacks and because Lila’s able to put on a charming facade to the public (unlike Chloe).

At first Chloe is super pumped about being a superhero, but it quickly sours once it becomes clear the public adores Lady Karma and only thinks Clawdia is okay.

Lady Karma and Clawdia bicker with each other ALL THE TIME and sometimes try to sabotage the other.

Adrinette is casually happening in the background.

Fu is regretting everything.

At one point Lila is kidnapped by an akuma to lure out Lady Karma since she claimed they were “best friends”. This would result in Clawdia getting her butt whooped and resulting in: A.) Fu handing out another Miraculous to someone or B.) Clawdia coming back for round two and defeating the akuma on her own, gaining the public’s respect. Either way it damages Lady Karma’s reputation and forces Chloe to take this superhero thing a little more seriously.

Watch Netflix Devil May Cry Anime and Had a lot of fun. Had some motivation to draw Dante and Mary/Lady. Made a mistake on one of the fingers, oh well….

Writing tips

🌟 1. Write the book you want to read. Forget what’s trendy or marketable for a second. What’s the story you’d stay up until 3 AM reading? Write that. Your passion will bleed through the pages and connect with readers.

🌟 2. Don’t stress about perfection in the first draft. Your first draft is meant to be messy. It’s a skeleton, not the final product. “Write drunk, edit sober” doesn’t have to be literal, but the spirit of it? Spot on.

🌟 3. Characters > Plot. A thrilling plot is great, but readers stay for the characters. Give them depth, flaws, quirks, and motivations. Bonus tip: think about how your characters would react to situations outside the story—it makes them feel real.

🌟 4. Dialogue is a tool, not a transcript. In real life, we say “uh” and “like” all the time. On paper? Not so much. Make your dialogue snappy, purposeful, and reflective of your character’s personality. Pro tip: read it out loud to catch anything awkward.

🌟 5. Show and tell. You’ve heard the rule: show, don’t tell. But balance is key. Sometimes you need to show the sparkle of a frost-covered window, and sometimes you need to just say, “It was cold.”

🌟 6. Create a vibe. Want your book to feel like a dark fairytale, a sunlit romance, or a gritty thriller? Build that atmosphere with sensory details, imagery, and themes. Think of your story as a moodboard.

🌟 7. Let yourself write “bad” scenes. Not every chapter needs to be Pulitzer-worthy. Let bad writing exist. Sometimes, a rough scene holds the key to something brilliant when you edit.

🌟 8. Take breaks. Stuck? Walk, shower, nap, journal, or daydream. Creativity thrives when your brain has time to breathe. (Yes, scrolling Tumblr counts as a break. No, it doesn’t count as writing.)

🌟 9. Stop comparing yourself to other writers. Everyone’s process is different. Maybe you draft in chaos and revise into beauty, or maybe you’re methodical from start to finish. Both are valid. The only thing that matters? You keep going.

🌟 10. Celebrate the small wins. Wrote 100 words? That’s 100 more than you had yesterday. Finished a chapter? Incredible. Writing is hard, and every step forward is worth celebrating. <3

✨ Bonus Tip: Find your people. Writing can be lonely, but it doesn’t have to be. Share your progress, rant about your characters, and hype each other up.
