Chrom has never heard of Deathgoyles before. Gargoyles either really but at least he understands their function for drainage and decoration. The idea of them running (or flying as it were) around freely was kind of scary he wasn't going to lie.

Not that he didn't think he could take them! Nothing like that. But he was anxious about them hurting others. And he really didn't like the look of them. Not just for the danger but for the sense of...wrongness. Was that the right word? He didn't know and didn't much care to think about it further.

His companion was apparently knowledgeable about these things. He hadn't said much yet but Chrom was glad to have an expert (if experts on these things existed) around. Was he an expert or did he just say he'd fought them? Doesn't matter. Helpful anyway.

The folk they're helping with this task want these animals for some reason or another but don't want them hurt. That's good probably. Chrom doesn't want to hurt them.

okay this is a bit confusing and something i've been dealing with for basically the entirety of this year so bare with me for the length of this reply lmao — basically, i own a car parking space that goes with my flat. i do not own a car, so it used to be empty every day and random people would keep their cars in it for days at a time, it was annoying, my family couldnt park when they visited, nor could i let friends park there if they came to my town. i put SO many notes on so many cars telling them to move until i eventually got contacted about someone renting it off of me — amazing, free money and no more parking issues WRONG people kept fucking parking there when he left so he couldn't park anywhere whenever he showed up for work, so i installed a bollard into the ground to stop people and it did,,,,until last week when i came home and it was ripped out of the fucking ground and bent in half. lmao. so i contacted the management company that look after my building and she basically told me fuck all information about what happened, that someone from the opposite flat did it, and that was it. and she blamed me for having the 'wrong type of bollard' even tho NO ONE told me i had to get a specific one, anyway, i finally get in contact with the person who i was told did it, turns out their friend fucking did it and just ran off without even telling him (no clue if thats true tbh) and so i havent heard from anyone for a week about who did it and just went off of what mangement said (they blamed his wife multiple times btw and got the car wrong so they're useless af too). THIS guy is now blaming me for the bollard and basically saying it wasnt intentional, and ignored the fact i asked him to reimburse me the money because shit is expensive in this economy and none of this is my fucking fault, so basically i hate drivers lmao

also remember, nung bawat post ko nalang dito noon how miserable my life is at work before, halos araw araw ko isumpa yung trabaho ko nun lalo na yung bisor ko nun na napaka impakta haha. sabi ko nun gusto ko lang naman ng work na may fixed schedule at weekends na off, look at me now. huhu

naalala ko may post din si faye last time na parang connected dito, na kapag daw may sinabi kang gusto mo mangyari, uudyokin ka talaga ng universe na kumilos para makuha mo yun. naalala ko rin yung post ni nikko noon sa fb about sa law of attraction, though may humor na kasama, yung point niya e kailangan talaga samaan parin ng actions. hindi yung parang mag wiwish ka lang sa genie na ibigay sayo yung gusto mo ng parang magic. haha. nag sisimula talaga mag manifest yung bagay na gusto mo pag sinamahan mo ng kilos.

Self reflection of past 10 days

- I did research about IFOM and i will redo again after a while so 1st goal done.

- I studied ECG and understand more now but still in need of practice; 2nd goal done.

- I didn't revise abg at all; 3rd goal incomplete.

I wasted 2 days from the 10 days plan. Also, i need to try to focus without wasting so much time on house chores; i work so hard that i have no more energy left.

The new plan is:

- Finish research which is going to be veerry difficult to do.

- Revise ECG and Practice.

- Study DM mangement lines.

- Revise Abg and how to ttt.

- Read about DKA managment.

- Write IELTS essays and revise writing lecture notes.

first oc. my friends have heard ALLL about this guy but my proudest oc is nova.

anyways the setting for nova is basically. it's many, many millenia into the future. aliens have been discovered (sick and rad). capitalism still exists (not sick or rad).

anyways the No Space Unexplored corporation, or just N.S.U, developed the NOVA project, which consisted of sending several intelligent humanoid droids (called Navigators) onto various habited planets by themselves, mostly to figure out whether they were profitable. whoops! some of the Navigators happen to be a bit buggy, and a few behavioural errors are noticed early on during some of the droids' first few days after landing on different planets. hopefully nothing happens because of that!

Flashforward a few weeks and the N.S.U becomes involved in a big old legal case that ultimately shuts them down. oh boy well what happens to their property and various pioneering space related projects? instead of being regular about the whole deal, the company just. destroys any old property. cuts off all contact with various rovers and projects because they're petty about it. the Navigator droids are shut down and presumed destroyed by any alien environments or animals.

oops. welll except for one. Navigator #4 sure did get cut off from any contact with Earth, but guess who lived, bitch? she did. built different.

and yeah Nova gets pronouns now (she/it). anyways Navigator #4 gets her name from the company project. she doesn't have a very good imagination or as much creativity as the average human because she runs on literal numbers, but she is pretty good at surviving on planet #5098 like she was designed to. although it does happen to have a varied ecosystem and several very large predator animals. but it's okay! it's living life pretty well and has settled into its (possibly permanent) residence on this planet. so thumbs up!!

get it? anyways he's pathetic. he basically lives in a cartoon world. the cops hate him because he keeps trespassing as part of his work and also interrupting. he has horrible time mangement and does not sleep enough. forgets to take off his hat and tie before collapsing into bed.

now mike says he's a private investigator, but really he doubles as a sort of bodyguard for people who pay. and triples as "the guy who works part time at the grocer's, but only on the third weekend of every month".

he loves music but hates singing himself. humming is great, but he was born into a family of performers and always feels like his own singing isn't worth the effort or embarassment. hes my favourite and one of my oldest characters :]

third oc! zero. or xeyr real name, which is 0000. uses xhe/xher and xey/xem.

they're a bit messed up! but it's good for xem because they are incredibly nihilistic. xhe is always, constantly, 24/7 aware of xher audience and the fact that xhe is being judged for xher actions. which can make a person both paranoid and aggressive when criticized.

this isn't to say that zero's actions are always 10/10 ethical, of course. xey work on a submarine researching the deep ocean and mainly help to identify/categorize species. one win for the science community! and as a side gig, xey are employed by some pretty shady people to conduct some pretty shady experiments. normal things :]

So I've already kind of covered this before with the influencer post, as management has a lot of the same role as an influencer and most of the same Quirks would be useful, but I can still cover Quirks that would help.

-Hindsight: With business and management, there are bound to be things that go wrong. Knowing what or who exactly caused the issue and how to fix it will be imperative to keeping your agency running and avoiding the same pitfalls that were keeping you down before.

-Tailor Made: If you want anyone to listen to you, you're going to need to look your best for meetings and events. Now you can turn your old pajamas into the highest-quality tux around. And hey, you can always be ready to show off your hero's new clothing line.

-Focus Finder: I mean, if the name of the game is to bring attention to yourself or your hero, there are few other options that are better for it. And if you or your hero happen to mess something up, it can certainly help them sink back into the background to get them ready for their big comeback.

-Good Eating: Any good manager would make sure that their hero is at the top of their game. Part of that is making sure that they are taking care of their body. So cook up something that will keep them going after a tough day and help them train themselves to be the best hero possible.

-Mood Ping: Managing will need to cover the emotional needs of others as well, like your hero, your staff, and any investors you may deal with. Knowing what exactly someone is feeling about a person or subject is bound to save a lot of headaches later and help the user get the best deals.

-Matchmaker: In the business world, connections and cohesion are everything. So something that makes sure that you are working with the best people possible and ensuring that you match up people for the right tasks will be great for making sure that everything and everyone runs smoothly.

-Polymath: As the manager of a hero, you're going to need to be wearing a lot of hats. Everything from a legal advisor to a social media manager to a corporate leader and much more. So anything that can help you pick up on new skills and trends you need to know about would be an amazing boon to have.

-Phone In: As someone in business, you're bound to be on the phone more often than not. While this is basically just having a phone, it's especially great since the user can tap into someone's phone to make them answer you. And it doesn't matter if they are busy, they will take your call, and they will take it now.

-Fix Up: So heroes can cause a lot of damage. Damage which can raise your hero insurance premiums. Rather than let that little issue drain your agency, why not just fix it yourself and make the problem go away with our power, making everyone happy? Plus, it's bound to save money on equipment and costume repairs.

-Hypothesize: Let's be real, you are going to have to juggle a lot of names, faces, and events to make sure you know who's who and what's exactly happening in the hero world. Having what amounts to a day planner and black book in your head that is working to help you see connections and patterns is going to be life-saving.

Question! I have a friend who graduated with an envi sci degree in May and just finished her first summer of seasonal field work! Now she's looking for more jobs for the fall/winter, do you have any advice on how to find jobs? Sorry if this is invasive (pun intended)

Oh man, the dreaded shoulder seasons! I struggled a lot with them as well and I think most people who run in my circles do as well. Or just as a whole. But the super cool upside is that now with one season, their foot in the door, a lot more people will be willing to give them a chance now that they've had seasonal work.

I personally live off of a bunch of job boards and I have them compiled and kinda sorted here: https://ghostpyre.tumblr.com/jobs . I don't know the direction your friend is heading into, but these are mostly geared towards research or land mangement.

My personal advice is be more flexible and willing to try new, weird jobs (if seasonally.) If continuing into seasonal work, the winter and shoulder seasons are great chances to round out some skills or even take a break from the world as a whole. I tended to do seasonal lab jobs at universities or short term research help but most of my friends used it to do seasonal work internationally or do tourism/extreme sport work.

If they're looking into permanent positions, I'd highly suggest using Texas A&M job board or USAJobs (if based in the United States), they both offer a range of jobs and tend to be on the higher paying, more opportunities, and a solid start to a career. And in all honesty, when I've applied to both seasonal and my now permanent position, I've applied up 200+ jobs per season. It can be brutal in the winter looking for jobs but they do exist.
