I've been going through a Trigun phase again! Watched the original, Badlands Rumble, and I'm starting Stampede. So have a Vash headcannon that is kind of important to me

Ace!Vash. It just feels right to me. It's established that even though he acts like a playboy, he's very self-conscious of his body and his scars. We see him shirtless after he's been bandaged, or when he's by himself in the morning, but it really sticks out to me that his comment when Meryl and Millie saw him like that for the first time was "It's not exactly something I like girls to see." (Ep. 13, 20:35) He also says that he thinks many girls would run away, but I think it goes deeper than that. Being alive for 130+ years really does a number on you. Seeing the mortality of man compared to you, a seemingly immortal being. It becomes glaringly apparent that attachments like love are temporary and only hurt you in the long run. But Vash is brimming with love, it's his very nature. But sex? I think he's seen the worthlessness in it. So he goes about his life, making friends and flirting and kicking ass, but in the end he'll forever be lonely. He'll outlive the people he loves, what's the use in trying?

Ofc there's the moment in Ep. 7 where one of the important people in Inepril City brings a couple of sex workers to Vash's room after he saves the town from the Nebraska family. Vash has had a lot of alcohol that night and plays like he's passed out, but when they leave, he asks himself maybe, could he be regretting it? (This man's ability to sober up will never cease to amaze me tbh but that isn't the point here) I choose to interpret this statement as part of this hc to mean that yeah, he's chosen this way of life, but he's still tempted sometimes.

I'm sure I could find more instances but this is what came off the top of my head :)) I love this man with my whole heart but he's old and tries to stay optimistic but even he breaks sometimes :))

Now a side tangent! Is there even a guarantee that Vash and Knives have genitalia? Like, they're apart of an alien race. We have no idea how they reproduce. Vash calls the creatures inside the PLANTS friends, and they look like merpeople. How did Vash and Knives end up being so humanoid?? Just a thought :)))

Anyway I could ramble on my thoughts forever so I'll stop now :)))

Wowie! It's a goofy lil introduction post!

Hi!

You can call me Goji. I'm a big fan of many varying prehistoric creatures, though my knowledge and passion on them also varies depending on what groups we're talking about (something even I myself have yet to pinpoint!). I also love The Owl House and Amphibia, and ship Marcanne, Lumity, and Huntlow a bunch. I also have a casual interest in Godzilla-related media. Sometimes I make art, but they're not the best compared to everyone else here. I don't mind much though!

I'm also making an AU, Nature and Magic! It's...less well-written than most, I'll give it that. However, it's essentially a crossover between Amphibia and The Owl House with some dinosaurs and co. involved! There's also Ghidorah, Godzilla, and Mothra as neutrally aligned gods who sort of mess with the universe a bit, hence causing some areas of the plot and the presence of prehistoric critters.

I'm pansexual, although I have a bias towards feminine-leaning people, and I'm also nonbinary!

Possibly neurodivergent? I'm not diagnosed with anything yet, but I'm certainly not "normal" for lack of a better term, and my social ineptness is staggeringly noticeable.

My favorite dinosaur is Spinosaurus, specifically its more recent and accurate renditions. Dromaeosaurs and troodontids as a whole are a VERY close second.

The rabbit stares at him, lips pursed into a thin line.  The images in their skull replay, again and again, like a natural memory : Sonic hurting them.  Sonic trying to kill them, getting so close.  Why — or what happened before their battle — is fuzzy or nonexistent, makes their head hurt to even try to remember.  Infinite says not to bother.  THIS PERSON TRIED TO KILL THEM, BUT SO DID...

She grasps her arm, feeling at one of the new bruises under her fur.  BUT SO DID INFINITE.  At the very least, he was more than willing to let her die in Null Space.  Null Space, that still haunts her dreams, that she shouldn’t have entered, that she doesn’t understand why she did.  To save the hedgehog who would have killed her?  WHO DIDN’T, WHEN THEY WERE IN THAT HELL TOGETHER?  a thought, barely - formed, i’m not letting infinite take more of my friends.  but when has he ever taken any?  Infinite saved her!  She owes everything to Infinite, who left her to die in Null Space, who made it clear when she returned that he was LESS THAN PLEASED WITH HER PERFORMANCE.

Her hand tightens at the bruise, in the shape of a hand much larger than hers.  Maybe Sonic tried to kill her, but — but Infinite isn’t treating her like an ally he seeks to protect and even with the truth of that staring her in the face her head still pounds, screams, tries to split as though questioning him IS AGAINST THE RULES.  She doesn’t trust Sonic, but he — but he acts like he knows her, knows something she doesn’t.  THERE’S SO MUCH SHE DOESN’T KNOW.

They know Infinite saved them.  They know Infinite left bruises on them for failing, they know it hurts to think of that as wrong.  They know Infinite would have left them to die in Null Space.  THEY KNOW THEY’RE AFRAID OF HIM.  They know that —— something is wrong ——— even if they can’t think of what without their skull splitting in two.  It hurts so much as entertain it, a dull throbbing in the chest where the ruby shard is, and a sharp, screaming pain in their head.  They push past, endure.

The boy who tried to kill you...at least that’s better than the ally that’s trying, too.

"You will learn to respect me as your father. Even if I have to force it." He got up from his chair now. A tsk His anger showed in how tightly he clutched the knife now.

His hand clutched their hair, forcing them to stay still at least there.

"You know, John was the one that taught me how to carve. I haven't had to do this in so long, I didn't think I'd have to do this against my own child... It's a shame that John's assessment that you are of Wrath... Your very embodiment is Pride, not Wrath child. But it will be rectified, since you wear Pride so much."

His boot forced the Deputy away from the wall and kept them from moving backwards at least. The knife descended. The point resting just enough for the Deputy to know it was there.

"We will carve Pride into your back. This is your real core. And we shall let it bleed and pour out onto the ground. I won't be rude and cut your shirt off. We'll just cut through it."

The knife dived in now, to an acceptable depth for him and started carving.

This was clearly nothing like what John had done when he carved in Wrath.

This was done with anger. Frustration. And it was crude, with little experience in carving.

But clearly he was proud of himself when it was over.

He stepped back for a moment, wiping the blade off on the shirt where it wasn't bloodied.

And then casually placed the blade down on the table behind his chair and sat down in it. Staring at the Deputy.

"Apologise, child."

The deputy tried to bite again when slapped. Lips curled back in a terrible snarl that was quite unbecoming for someone with their otherwise soft features. When he moved his hand to far away, they actually lunged forward to try again.

But the cuffs prevented them from getting much closer to his now withdrawn hand.

“I’m not yer goddamn child!” Hadassah hissed through clenched teeth.

They weren’t anyone’s child anymore. As far as they knew, everyone in their family might as well be dead. If not from the initial explosion, then from radiation poisoning. Same for their team and their cousin. Their family. Everyone. Gone.

A twinge of their heartstrings as that thought crossed their mind again.

Their gaze shifted to the knife. Now they backed up until their back was against the wall. Knees brought up as much as possible to try and cover the WRATH that was carved into them by John.

Hadassah proceeded to spit at Joseph’s shoes. Perhaps that would be enough of a ‘no’ for his threat.

i was just talking to maisie about this but have we thought about the potential of mr reca removing unpleasant memories from your mind? not things from your past, because those things have made you who you are and who he fell in love with, but events that occur after you are his. i feel like that’s a fairly obvious notion given his abilities but aaaaaaah i just !!!!! think he would have such a hard time keeping his hands to himself and not tampering with your mind when you come to him exceptionally upset about something that happened.

he doesn’t expect it to affect him nearly as much or as hard as it does, but seeing his precious baby so unbelievably distraught over something (and what that something actually is—the severity of it—doesn’t fucking matter. what matters is that his little girl is upset and he must fix it) has a sudden, intense need clawing at his chest; an urgent desire that has sprouted talons and sharp, gnashing teeth and before he can even comprehend what he’s fucking doing, he’s soothing you by devouring that memory, burning it to ash, making sure it can never hurt you again.
