a/n: thank you requesting minhee!! 🥺��️🥺♥️ i hope u like this one <3

y/n had been pacing around in the living room for a whole five minutes, seeming distracted. her bestfriend, yeonjun who's initially casually sprawled on the couch finally sat up and called her out,

"y/n you're distracting me, can you sit down and tell me whats wrong?" he tapped the seat beside him. there's a slight hint of annoyance in his tone.

she took the seat beside him and kept quiet for a moment, but he could tell she was nervous by the way her legs bounced up and down.

"okay fine, promise me you wont laugh," she warned, furrowing her eyebrows.

"no promises, but i'll try," he teased, chuckling. his fingers went to smoothen her eyebrows, as if in reflex. he had always find y/n's reactions adorable, but he wont tell her that. knowing y/n, she'd get so cocky about it.

y/n pushed his chest lightly, as she glared at him, as if to say 'im serious'.

"so, i have a date this Sunday," she squeaked nervously, playing with her fingers in the process.

the smile on yeonjun's face faltered immediately. it's not like y/n's his, but oh hell, he genuinely doesnt feel so happy about it. who would like it when their crush told them they're going on a date with someone other than them, right? he tried not to sound so upset, so he asked,

"that's great, right?"

"yea, but..." she trailed off, seeming like she couldnt finish her sentence.

"but what?" yeonjun took her hands in his, hoping to ease her nerves.

"i've never kissed anyone before." she said in one breath, all while avoiding his gaze.

"let's practice, then," he may be uttering the three words so calmly, but his heart? he felt like it would jump out of his chest anytime.

"c-come again?" y/n stuttered.

"you said you've never kissed anyone before, you dont want your date to know that, do you?" he explained.

"i guess? but are you sure you're okay with uh.. kissing me? wouldnt it be weird?" she sounded unsure.

"nothing's gonna be weird if we dont make it weird, y/n," he convinced, his thumb stroking the back of her hand in assurance.

"well, if you say so," y/n eyed him expectantly, not really knowing where to start.

"come here,"

yeonjun guided her face closer to his gently, taking his time to finally meet her lips. yeonjun started moving his lips slowly, as if any sudden moves could break her. y/n was a bit taken aback at first, the feeling was foreign to her, but it was nice, and warm, and not to mention the butterflies in her stomach? it was not like anything she had ever felt before.

y/n's hands which were initially awkwardly placed on yeonjun's laps were finally given attention by him, as he pulled them towards the back of his neck. his hands then made their way to y/n's cheeks, caressing them delicately.

after a while, they broke away, yeonjun's hands were still on y/n's cheeks, foreheads meeting.

"are you sure you've never kissed anyone before, y/n?" he smirked, looking deeply into her eyes.

"of course! was it that good?" she said cockily, but her cheeks still burned.

"actually yes," he said.

it was silent for a bit, just the sound of their breathings heard.

"y/n, listen. would it be rude if i ask you not to go to the date?" yeonjun finally broke the silence, after contemplating for a minute.

"to be honest, i dont actually have a date to even start with," y/n laughed.

"w-what?" yeonjun widened his eyes in realization.

did she just- lie to me?!?!

"yep," she got up from the seat and skipped away to her room.

"but i dont think i'll ever need one when my own bestfriend who i like, likes me back," she lastly said, snickering before closing the door, leaving yeonjun to process what just happened.
