I guess it just feels like I'm stuck in a cage made entirely by my own thoughts. that sounds so dramatic but it does feel like that.

like, it's not just that I'm scared of things so everything is kind of hard. it's that there's many, many things I would like to do or at least try, but I can't make myself do them. not 'oh this is a bit difficult so I'm afraid to try', no, it's not. an option. there's no path from 'want to do this' to 'I'm doing this'. I can't convince myself to do it. there's no tricks or anything. my brain, the useless thing that I need to do literally everything, doesn't allow it.

gosh though. this event has been SO cute in general! I understand why andrew believed neil was a hallucination because what do you mean neil told him "you spend all this time watching our backs, who's watching yours? don't say you are because you and I both know you take shit care of yourself" and "if it means losing you then no" when they weren't even dating yet???

can you imagine how it felt hearing this for andrew, who has always been the one protecting people and has been called a monster countless times for being so unforgiving and ruthless when it comes to protecting his family?

andrew has never had anyone in his corner, he spent his entire life feeling completely and utterly alone. he is fine if his brother and his cousin hate him as long as they are safe. HE is the one who protects people not the other way around. and suddenly there is this menace of a boy, fiery temper and piercing blue eyes, who not only doesn't treat andrew like a monster but goes to great length to keep him safe, even if it means getting himself hurt.

the only person who has come close to understanding andrew is renee but she doesn't fully understand him, you know? and then this runaway boy comes into his life and can somehow basically read his mind and soul and tells him shit like "I think it's better this way, with you as the last line of defense. you let us run ourselves into the ground and clean up behind us. you play the game like you play life. that's why you're so good at it." and andrew is supposed to believe that this guy is real?

it's no wonder why andrew's mind can't process neil's existence honestly, he embodies everything andrew never had but always longed for : someone to lean on, someone who believes and respects him, someone who actually listens and understands him, someone who loves him unconditionally

Okay Canadians, it's our turn to vote and we've got to try not to mess it up like certain other countries.

Election day is THIS MONDAY (APRIL 28TH).

If you are a Canadian citizen and at least 18, you can vote.

If you didn't advance vote / mail vote, then you must go on Monday. Check out [elections dot ca], all you need is your postal code and it will tell you where your voting station is and the hours. Lines were long in some places on day 1 of advance voting, but that's extremely rare. You should be in and out in 15 minutes tops normally.

You do not need to check registration or anything. You are probably registered if you have filed taxes and checked the box for election registration, but even if you have moved since then, it is fine. If you are not on their physical list already on Monday, they will add you in like 1 minute with your ID. It's easy. Trust me, for some reason I am perpetually not registered despite always checking the tax form box, so I go through it every election. It takes 60 seconds and they don't judge you.

You need to bring: your government photo ID OR 2 pieces of pseudo ID like a utility bill and your student ID where at least one has your address. If you have none of the above, but you have a friend who lives in the same polling station area, you can literally bring them and they are allowed to vouch for you and you just sign a declaration page that you are not doing voter fraud.

Have to work? You are legally required to have 3 consecutive hours to vote. If your shift somehow doesn't have 3 consecutive hours off during the time your polling station is open, your job must give you the extra time off with pay to make it 3 consecutive hours. It's on the elections canada page under the FAQ if you don't believe me.

Also I'm not saying your hockey team will lose in the playoffs if you don't vote, but I'm not not saying that either.

Dude I need claws SO bad. Except I need prosthetics to be really sturdy, so I can actually like. Use them for shit. Like I wanna be able to wear them to help me climb or claw at stuff or whatever I need them for. But people only make like plastic or foam or resin claws. It's not STRONG enough. I need like. IRON claws. STEEL claws. Claws I can climb trees and rock faces with. Claws that could kill a man if I wanted them to. sctir is such a good story if you're obsessed with worldbuilding Implications because yoojin is also Constantly thinking about that stuff. He's just a (previously) regular guy who has to live in this weird urban portal fantasy world so he cares about stuff like tax brackets and zoning laws and fair contract-writing and alternative uses of everyone's crazy supernatural powers. I can't count the number of times I started thinking "wait, couldn't you-" only to have it answered the next sentence. When his internal monologue mentioned dungeon resets being used for public waste disposal i practically cheered
