Hello, everyone!

Happy 2025 to all of you that, like me, commemorated a new year recently!

So, first of all, sorry for not uploading anything in December. I had some more scares from my computer and until I discovered that the power unit is just finicky and don't like powering too many 3'5" HDD and prefer the slim ones usually used in notebooks, I was at my wits end (that's what you get for changing motherboard and sticking more HDDs at the same time back before all the problems started without stopping to think if it's safe. I'm half convinced that half of my troubles stemmed from this. ANYWAY).

I ended up deciding to focus only on writing WOMG during my end of the year travels and so on, specially because usually I end up with not that stable of a connection when I travel. The twist is that I changed my travel pen-drive from my old and very trusty one to a newer but bigger one but I was unlucky and bought a very low-quality one that ended up with trouble and I lost everything in it (It was still in the store guarantee and once I returned I went there and returned and got a new one from a more trusty brand). Meaning, my Big Plans of Writing A Lot for WOMG were shot. And the online backup was outdated (I use more offline backups), and my brain is too chronological for me to write out of order ç_ç So, I could only really write again once back home.

On the bright side, I was so damn annoyed at it that I decided "fuck it, I'm uploading the first part of the chapter 2 to Itch once I return". So YEAH! I'm just making sure there aren't any game-breaking bugs in this part, fixing some of the code responsible for showing your stats and so on, and probably February I'll be updating it. If all goes well, writing for the second part will also progress well this following month.

Let's start off our normal posts with a

GHIDORAH DESIGN

I wanted to make the Ghidorah in my lore unique from other designs. I drew inspiration from the Monsterverse (as is obvious) and Keizer Ghidorah, while also mixing in deer (antlers), bat (womgs), and some aspects from Alatreon from Monster Hunter (chest spikes).

Instead of making him just a big dragon, or a gross alien hydra, I needed a mix of the two; an unnatural beastly kaiju (and he's big btw: in my lore he's around 570 feet in height with an approximate 800 foot wingspan). Some aspects that helped him be so unnatural and unique:

Four (in one head's case, three) purely white eyes shadowed by the ridges on its brows

Armor shaped and placed in ways no Earth-baring animal would have them

Curved thin spikes

A mouth structure that, again, no terrestrial animal would ever be caught dead having

A purple tint to the fleshy parts of his body

Feeding tendrils (which you can see in the right head's mouth)

Foldable ears

And, my personal favorite, the almost featureless legs. They look more like fleshy tubes with claws than actual feetsies.

Each head also has a name and personality. The middle one (named Morunan) is prideful and stoic. The left one (the sparky one named Krichi) is unhinged and crazy. And the right one (the scarred one named Durakna) is also crazy, but pissy about it.

The best part is, in my lore, he isn't really a legend, or explained in a prophecy or a terraformer. He just appears to fuck up Earth's shit. The three-headed equivalent of "I just don't like your vibe".

Just to warn that the Devlog will probably come out tomorrow or Sunday.

It was going to come out today, after I got up to some more writing in it, but my 1TB HDD is acting up and I'm doing a bunch of checkups and backups on it, so no writing and such. It's the one with the most recent files for Walking on My Grave

Thoughts with me so I'll manage to fix it up. I have WOMG backups, including recent ones and of everything else, but still there are some recent files I would lose if the HDD gives up. I don't think it will, I can access it fine, but it's slow and some folders and archives are lagging and there were some errors when I tried to exclude some things I don't need anymore. Probably I'll just end up having to backup the most recent files and formatting it, but it still put a stop on my plans.
