The consistent underperformance of India in women's cricket is both kinda funny, but also incredibly annoying.

Funny because the BCCI is the most powerful and probably financially strongest of the cricket governing bodies.

But annoying because they don't fund the women's team near enough to make the into an actually consistently competitive team.

I know that the Black Caps aren't representative of stuff in the wider context, but if tiny New Zealand can turn an underappreciated men's national sports team into something that can compete for the biggest prizes then India sure as hell could turn their women's team into more of a force than they are now.
