Uhh, I Hit the GYM today but it wasn't easy! 🥴🥶 Do you also experience a lack of motivation sometimes? You might think - just laziness, OR overtraining, overreaching. We all deal with some degree of unmotivation sometimes. BUT to make sure your FAT LOSS regimen continuously progresses, you have to keep up the activity on a regular basis. So what can you do to Improve your motivation? Dopamin, a “messenger” neurotransmitter -drives you, keeps you motivated and energetic. Oftentimes WE - “GYM goers” tend to abuse Dopamin, thinking the more is better. We use caffeine, pre workouts,music, a fun workout routine, seeking a good environment and friends there, eating healthy protein rich foods, and some use supplements to increase Dopamine level. Besides the specific supplement for Dopamine, I do all these otherwise healthy habits, but how am I so unmotivated for days then? Too LOw or High Dopamine equally causing problems: 1, Research shows the minimal light exposure after 10 pm can disturb dopamine secretion. Inadequate sleep drastically affects our dopamine level! Too LOW -> Lack of motivation 2, Professor Huberman Neuroscientist shares: Too much pleasure (secretion of dopamine) -> Cause a drop of Dopamine Baseline. Which is pretty much the same experience and effect as an addict's experience after using certain substances. Long story short, we should manage our pleasures. (video games,pre workouts- pretty much anything that you enjoy !..) Triggers your Dopamine and afterwards drops to under the BASELINE. How Much? Weight Loss & TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) A lot of people are missing out on the TDEE. It is a problem because you are creating a calorie deficit with your hard work. Including your hard training and Diet- Then on a “lazy day” you CAN come out from the calorie deficit accidentally. 😅Happens easily with anybody - especially if you are in a slight deficit… ⚠️The biggest problem is -most likely you do not even recognise it. 💡So try to keep an average, steady activity level every day to secure your long term Fat Loss success! I had the same issue, until now… In my training and working days I burn 1000 “active” calories. But when I am working from home I barely burn 2-300 Active Energy. That is a HUGE difference! So I got this little indoor bike here -you see in the pictures, 😇Help me to keep an average activity during “Office workdays” 💁‍♀️It is a lot of ways for you to BUILT IN your daily schedule a little bit of Activity (aside of exercising) Like: Take a nice walk with your loved ones, Or help with the house chores, You can walk your puppy (if you have one), Weekend Shopping day, Go out hiking or biking trips with friends … Endless opportunities.
