Rather we should thank God that such men lived." - General George S Patton Jr. This is General Patton's dog - Willie -  in one of the original Jeeps during WWII.  Willie had quite the life.  Prior to General Patton, he lost his first owner (a RAF pilot) in a bombing raid.  General Patton wrote in his diary - "My bull pup took to me like a duck to water. He is 15 months old, pure white except for a little lemin on his tail, which to a cursory glance would seem to indicate that he had not used toilet paper"  Apparently Willie often 'passed gas' and was afraid of artillery fire and loud sounds of battle.  He loved his owner. Take a moment and remember the reason for the holiday. "Thank God that such men lived."
