Below the lighthouse. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I thought trying to shoot astro so close to the lighthouse would be very challenging. In fact the light didn’t pose much as a problem as I thought considering how close we were to it. I was actually quite dark, which presented its own challenges given the boy and I were rather isolated in this spot and it felt a little spooky lol. When visiting Byron Bay I highly recommend doing the lighthouse walk during your time there. Some colour to contrast yesterday’s post. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You make remember from a previous post I did a trip to @tarongazoo last year and was looking at how to use light and shadows to my advantage. I can’t remember the the exact species of this particular variety of bird (any birders in here?) but I was in the walk through aviary. I remember seeing this bird and being wowed by the colours in its feathers. It was wandering through forest floor, in amongst the shrubs and shadows of the trees above, providing the perfect contrast between light & dark. Every now and then I like to post a bit of “reality” here on Instagram. You’ve seen from my last 3 posts how Uluwatu has become famous for its sunsets. All of the fishes in the sea! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The second shipwreck you can snorkel is the Japanese shipwreck. The origins of this shipwreck is unknown but is believed to have been sunk during WWII.
