The Allure of Cushion Cut Diamonds, Heart Shaped Diamond Rings, and Women’s Engagement Rings
Engagement rings symbolize love and commitment, and choosing the perfect one can be a daunting task. With a plethora of options available, the process can feel overwhelming. Among the myriad of choices, cushion cut diamonds, heart shaped diamond rings, and classic women’s engagement rings stand out for their timeless appeal and unique characteristics. Let's explore these stunning options in detail to help you find the perfect symbol of your eternal love.
The Timeless Charm of Cushion Cut Diamonds
Cushion cut diamonds have been a favorite choice for centuries. Known for their vintage charm and distinctive appearance, these diamonds offer a unique blend of traditional elegance and modern sophistication.
What is a Cushion Cut Diamond?
A cushion cut diamond, often referred to as a pillow cut, is characterized by its rounded corners and larger facets. This cut combines a square shape with rounded edges, resembling a cushion, hence the name. The cushion cut has a classic, romantic look that is perfect for those who appreciate vintage-inspired jewelry.
The Brilliance and Fire of Cushion Cut Diamonds
One of the most appealing features of cushion cut diamonds is their exceptional brilliance and fire. The larger facets allow for more light to be dispersed, creating a stunning play of colors. This cut maximizes the diamond's sparkle, making it an eye-catching centerpiece for any engagement ring.
Versatility in Setting Styles
Cushion cut diamonds are incredibly versatile and can be set in various styles to suit individual tastes. Whether you prefer a halo setting that amplifies the diamond's size and sparkle, a solitaire setting that highlights its elegance, or a vintage-inspired setting that enhances its timeless charm, cushion cut diamonds can be customized to create a ring that is uniquely yours.
The Romantic Appeal of Heart Shaped Diamond Rings
Heart shaped diamond rings are the epitome of romance. This unique cut is a powerful symbol of love and affection, making it an ideal choice for engagement rings.
The Distinctive Shape
A heart shaped diamond is exactly what it sounds like: a diamond cut in the shape of a heart. This cut is intricate and requires a high level of craftsmanship to ensure that the shape is perfectly symmetrical. The heart shape is instantly recognizable and serves as a poignant reminder of the love and commitment shared between partners.
Choosing the Perfect Heart Shaped Diamond
When selecting a heart shaped diamond, there are several factors to consider to ensure you get the best quality stone. Look for a diamond with a length-to-width ratio that suits your preference; a ratio of 1:1 is considered ideal for a perfectly symmetrical heart. Additionally, the quality of the cut is crucial, as it affects the diamond’s brilliance and overall appearance. Ensure the diamond has excellent symmetry and a well-defined shape.
Ideal Settings for Heart Shaped Diamonds
Heart shaped diamonds can be set in various ways to enhance their beauty. A solitaire setting is a popular choice, as it allows the unique shape of the diamond to take center stage. A bezel setting provides added security and a modern look, while a halo setting can amplify the diamond's size and brilliance. No matter the setting, a heart shaped diamond ring is sure to capture the essence of your love story.
Exploring Women’s Engagement Rings: Styles and Trends
Womens engagement rings come in an array of styles, each with its own unique charm. From classic designs to modern trends, there is something to suit every taste and preference.
Classic Solitaire Engagement Rings
Solitaire engagement rings are timeless and elegant. Featuring a single diamond set on a simple band, this design emphasizes the beauty of the diamond itself. Solitaires are versatile and can be paired with any wedding band, making them a popular choice for those who appreciate classic beauty.
Vintage-Inspired Engagement Rings
For those who love a touch of nostalgia, vintage-inspired engagement rings are a perfect choice. These rings often feature intricate detailing, such as milgrain edges, filigree work, and antique settings. Vintage rings evoke a sense of timeless romance and are ideal for brides who want a unique and nostalgic piece.
Halo Engagement Rings
Halo engagement rings have gained immense popularity in recent years. This style features a central diamond surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds, enhancing the overall sparkle and appearance of the ring. The halo setting can make the center diamond appear larger and adds extra brilliance, making it a dazzling choice for those who want a ring that truly stands out.
Three-Stone Engagement Rings
Three-stone engagement rings are rich in symbolism and beauty. Typically featuring a larger center diamond flanked by two smaller diamonds, this design represents the past, present, and future of the couple's relationship. Three-stone rings offer a blend of elegance and meaning, making them a sentimental and stylish choice.
Customizing Your Engagement Ring
One of the best ways to ensure your engagement ring is unique is to customize it. Many jewelers offer bespoke services that allow you to design a ring that perfectly matches your vision.
Choosing the Right Metal
The metal of the band is an essential aspect of the ring’s overall appearance. Popular choices include platinum, white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold. Each metal has its own unique characteristics and can influence the look and feel of the ring. Platinum and white gold are known for their modern, sleek appearance, while yellow and rose gold offer a warm, classic look.
Personalizing the Design
Adding personal touches to the design can make your ring even more special. Consider incorporating meaningful elements such as birthstones, engravings, or unique design features that reflect your love story. Customizing your ring ensures it is a true reflection of your style and relationship.
Conclusion
Choosing the perfect engagement ring is a deeply personal and significant decision. Whether you are drawn to the timeless elegance of cushion cut diamonds, the romantic allure of heart shaped diamond rings, or the variety of styles in women’s engagement rings, there is a perfect ring out there for every bride-to-be. By understanding the unique characteristics and styles available, you can find a ring that not only symbolizes your commitment but also celebrates your unique love story.

Taylor’s game day fashion expands on her signature style with some “Chief” M.O.’s to soften her presence (as much as one can when you are Taylor Swift, main character of the universe). To achieve this, Taylor established go-to style strategies: Vintage (a +1 to sustainable options), women/locally-owned (to lift up small designers w/ her spotlight), + sentimental accessories (to reinforce her game day presence - to support killa!).
For this VW plaid ensemble (a brand I associate w TTPD) I tried to understand her possible intention. I assess Chiefs outfits as a “genre” of fashion separate from the music as these outings aren’t about her art. So!
Since 2009, the NFL has partnered with the American Cancer Society through their “Crucial Catch” program to promote prevention and early detection of cancer. To support the initiative, Crucial Catch merch was designed “in the spirit of the various cancer ribbon colours” to feature a “multi-colored striping pattern” aka … plaid! In weeks 4-6 of the season, each team was assigned their own “Crucial Catch” game to promote the program and have it “come to life visually on the field” (Source: NFL Operations). The Chiefs’ “Catch” day was this day! Players were encouraged to wear gear or clothing that expanded on the plaid design. Fashion is a powerful communication tool and if Taylor, as part of the “Chiefs Kingdom” family, was joining in by donning plaid from a recently favoured designer then kudos for the 2 birds 1 stone!
As for the ‘fit, a matching set is iconic to Taylor’s style vernacular. She popularized it for 1989! I am personally partial to a slimmed-down shoe and given that Taylor changed into a shorter platform post-game, I suspect these boots were not the most comfy. Hair up was also, imo, the right call to let the bustier shape of her top shine.
If you’ve been following along with Taylor’s fashion, you’ll likely recognize a few of these jewelry pieces as repeats (the bracelets and necklace) or as iconic symbols of a fashion house Taylor has worn a lot recently (the Vivienne Westwood ‘Orb’ earrings).
As a fashion refresher, the symbol seen on Taylor’s earrings and bag is the Vivienne Westwood ‘orb’ logo. After much squinting, I think it’s this embellished pair though will of course update if proven otherwise! The logo is iconic to VW house codes. It was designed to be a take on the Sovereign orb of the British Royal Family and a cheeky reference to Vivienne’s self-described title of “queen” of fashion. But I can certainly see the similarities made to UFOs (especially given the repeat use of the MTV VMA boots seen here that Taylor first wore a UFO abduction tapestry dress by Monse) and wanting to be “down bad” for an Egg.
Taylor opted for some new, glittering accessories at today’s Chiefs game - peel and stick glitter freckle patches.
From polling TSSers themselves, I gathered that these freckle stickers were a bit polarizing. While they are not for me personally, I can admit that I can lean into the pomp and the fun and the adrenaline rush that a woo girl must feel when in her natural habitat screaming about something exciting. And how else to accessorize that excitement but sparkles on your face? Context matters!
Now if she were to try and style these with a polished / elegant street style ‘fit, I’d be a bit more brow raised.

The Cullen women's first engagement rings.
Esme's is simple, elegant and romantic. It's an art deco platinum ring with a round cut diamond centered between heart detailing.
Rosalie's, of course, is the largest and most extravagant. Like Esme's it is an art deco platinum ring. The center diamond is European cut and is set in sweeping geometric shapes.
Alice's is the simplest but no less eyes catching. It's a mid-century white gold ring. The small round cut diamond is in an illusion setting, making it appear bigger than it is. The band is accented by two baguette diamonds and two smaller round cut diamonds.

Poll 9.22
Hello everyone, giving y'all the choice between two different works I have been working on:
Snippets are as of yet, unedited.
Requests:
1. How about a miguel o hara md x nurse reader 😭
Hi! Can you do a Miguel x f!reader fic where they're dating? It's expensive to live in Nueva York and the reader overworks herself at a thankless job with a pervy boss but she can't find work anywhere else. She doesn't tell Miguel about her bosses advances because she doesn't want him to worry about her but the signs are getting harder to hide.
2. Still, I offer you this: Sheriff Miguel.
He's someone all the women have their eyes on, and he'd have his eyes on them, too, if he were younger. But he has a baby girl to worry about, a runaway wife to forget, and a town to keep an eye on, especially when a woman from the big city pays the little down a visit.
He meets her when he loses Gabriella in the market's crowd, only to find her tugging on a fine dress belonging to a fine woman.
1.) “You’ve been staring at this same lecture for two hours.” He offers the cool mug that you abandoned in the kitchen, dragging your feet to the couch and zoning out to the lecture he quickly clicks off. The remote clicks as he sets it aside.
“That’s how you study,” you murmured, despite the fact that the PowerPoint on your lap was unmarred. A highlighter queen, you loved to sully the pages with vibrant pens and highlighters til they looked more like poppy birthday invitations than school notes. His desk was chock-full of the heart-shaped sticky notes that you slapped on his lunch every night like clockwork. He kept every last one.
“Not how you study,” Miguel throws his arm over your shoulders, forcing you to tip against his side. You fell into the warmth that was his body, your PowerPoint clattering onto the floor. You don’t bother to pick it up, rubbing the heel of your palm into your swollen eyes. You were crying.
“I’m just tired, Miggy. Patients die on the floor every day.”
“Happens when you work hospice,” Miguel remarks. “There’s an opening in step down.”
“Ya sé. I tried.” You turn your face into his naked chest, your soft fingers curling along his dark skin. “No one else will work with me for school. Especially not with clinicals coming up. I just… need to make it a year.”
“Listen to me and quit,” Miguel suggests. “I can take care--”
“We’ve talked about this. I don’t want Stone’s blood money. The drugs he makes—”
Damn, as if his degree meant a whole lot of nothing. Miguel turns his hand over yours, grazing his thumb over the chunky diamond set in your newly acquired engagement ring. It isn’t as if he has a great relationship with the fucker, but… if it meant alleviating the stress that you wore everywhere, he’d make something of it.
“—addictive.”
“Let me take care of you.”
“I said no."
2.) “Yes, mami, Sheriff O’Hara. Do you know old Sheriff O’Hara?” You sure can talk pretty. He clears his throat, pulling on the sloppy tie that feels a whole lot hotter all of a sudden. Or maybe it’s been that long since he’s been with a girl. It isn’t like he can particularly go to the saloon and pick any one of those girls that followed him around up. He might have a night sitter for Gabriella but-- the town wouldn’t continually elect a loose man. Miguel’s eyes catch the flickering gold of a bumblebee locket on your chest, tracing its wings' curve. “‘Course she does, she’s mine. I lost her up in the crowd flow.” “Where is your wife? You can’t tell me you’re the kinda man that does it all, can you?” Where is your wife? The question tormented him. He could do it all. Managing the sloppy, slow thieves and putting down the occasional drunken brawl. At the end of the night, he came home to his empty home and saw his little girl. Miguel’s gaze danced along the puffy clouds in the sky. The fluffy clouds drift the same as usual, the same old slow draw, unknowledgeable about the change in his life. He suppresses the distant call of longing fluttering in his chest. “Ain’t got a wife. She ran off on me with some wolf. Usually, I got a sitter for my girl but, she came down with a fever.” “A wolf?” you repeat after him, “Why, you mean a gentleman?” “If you wanna call him that. He was an outlaw.” “I’m mighty sorry, Sheriff.”

Bowmanville Clarington Jane Doe
December 31, 2023
In a field in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, a man harvesting dogwood plants would make a gruesome discovery on October 26, 2006. The man came across the skull, femur and scattered skeletal remains of a woman who had no clothes or hair.
The field was in the area of Clarington, close to the Darlington Nuclear Plant. The unidentified woman had teeth in good condition, and she also had expertly set nose fracture, determining that a some point she may have had a nasal surgery or even a rhinoplasty.
The cause of death could not be determined as the condition of the remains, but it is speculated that this woman was mostly a homicide victim.
The Jane Doe was estimated to be between the ages of 18-30. She may have been there for 2-10 years before discovery (1996-2004), and possibly as long as 25 years (1981). In full, investigators believe she could have died between 1976-2006.
Some believe the potential murder may have happened in that location.
The scene was heavily searched by DRP Forensic Identification Unit, the Ontario Provincial Police and a forensic anthropologist. The search wrapped up on November 29, 2006, with a piece of red ribbon, a small heart shaped object, a penny from 1980, and a women's OMNI digital watch with a large red face and stainless steel straps made for a small wrist.
The watch was made by the Omni Watch Company in the early 1980's and was sold at Consumers Distributing from 1981-1983.
Description of what the woman may look like and a description of the items found were released in 2009, but no leads came forward.
On October 27, 2010, investigators went back to the site 4 years after the original discovery of the body. The water table in Bowmanville had decreased in that time, as the area had a couple dry years recently.
The usually wet and muddy area was dry enough for a better search. More items were found in this search, and they searched over 20 acres.
One of the items found in this second search was a 9.5 size woman's ring, that was hold and had a red garnet stone and two one-point diamonds on either side. Inside the band, the word "Burns" was stamped.
This ring had been made by A&A Manufacturing in Toronto, sold at Burns Jewlers, a family business located in Oshawa. The business operated from 1923-1994, and wasn't far from the Darlington Nuclear Plant.
The ring was frequently worn in life, and investigator's believe this is the most significant piece of evidence that may eventually lead to the Jane Doe's identity.
A man's hooded short sleeved shirt with red, yellow and blue stripes was also found. The shirt was from Tip Top Tailor, labelled "Blue Rodeo" and sold from 1995-1996. In 2019, it was also noted that remnants of grey track pants were also found.
A DNA profile of the woman was created but no dental records or matches have come about. Detectives believe it is likely the woman was never reported as missing.
In June 2013, the Durham Regional Police got a forensic artist named Diana Trepkov to make a sketch of the woman found based on her skull. Because she had no hair upon discovery, her hair type is unknown but she had protruding upper and lower teeth.
The woman had visible white fillings on her front teeth, small silver fillings on some of her back teeth. Her upper teeth protruded more than her lower teeth, and the skull was missing two teeth when it was found.
On September 14, 1963, a 13 year old girl named Noreen Greenley was abducted in Bowmanville. Her case remains unsolved and I will cover it next, but she is not the Bowmanville Clarington Jane Doe.
If anyone has any information they can contact the Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Trish Una x OC Post
Trish x Abella Wedding Heacanons 👰👩❤️💋👩👰
Here’s a link to my JJBA Masterlist I write a lot of character x reader. I also have Trish x Abella under the Trish x OC category if you’re interested in their story. My OC is a self insert OC so she’s me. I like creating OC content for fun. I enjoy talking about OCs so feel free to tell me about your own OCs if you like.
Trish would be the one to propose with how confident she is. They get married within three years of their committed relationship to each other. Trish truly understood Abella was her soul mate after knowing her for seven years. It was when Abella dedicated a fashion line of clothing to her beloved Trish she knew Abella was her bride to be. The popstar proposed to Abella after a garden date. While they looked over the flowers she got on her knee popping the question to Abella. The ring she offered Abella is a rose gold band with a huge pink heart shaped diamond center outlined in diamonds. Trish would have a ring with similar colors but a big diamond with the band covered in small diamonds. She spent a month figuring out how she wanted to propose and what rings she would want for them.
Trish would be twenty-one by this point and Abella would be twenty-five. They marry in 2008 around spring time.
The two desire a pink rose theme so they’ll book somewhere private with a ballroom and huge pink rose garden. The garden will be where they marry in front of the rose covered gazebo.
Trish would’ve loved Bruno Bucciarati to walk her down the isle but after his passing she grew close friends to her companions she met when she was fifteen. She asks none other than Giorno Giovanna to would walk her down the isle. The don was pleasantly surprised and accepted. He felt honored and was a friend of Abella’s as well, he was happy upon hearing the news of the girl’s marriage.
For Abella her treasure hunting uncle would walk her down the isle as she has no other father figure in her life. Her father died in a tragic accident after she moved away from New York when she was fourteen. Her uncle was someone who inspired her to become a treasure hunter after she established her fashion boutique in France with her best friend, Crisella.
The entire wedding would have a garden theme and the two young women would spend much time together planning. They knew what they desired so no wedding planner was necessary. Their friends in Passione would help them plan. Giorno offered to help cover costs for much of their wedding much to the girl’s surprise. They would thank him countless times and squeeze him into hugs. Much to the surprise of their blonde friend. He isn’t used to hugs but accepted them. He would help them with the flowers too since his stand has no trouble growing them.
There would be no expense too high for Trish’s outfit. She went shopping for a short white bridal dress with all her friends. They would help her pick her outfit for the wedding. It would be Giorno, Mista, Fugo, Polnareff, and many of her friends from her popstar life.
The day before the wedding she gets a manicure with hot pink tips fading to pink. She hires her hairstylist and makeup artist who normally take care of her looks before she goes on stage to perform. They’re eager to help her achieve her look for the wedding. Her hair is styled about the same but styled to be more elegant. Her hair is a bit longer reaching to her shoulders. For makeup she has pink lips with sparkly rose gold eyeshadows and long black flirty lashes. She’ll wear a pair of rosegold pearl earrings to finish off her look.
Her attire consists of a short white bridal dress with puffy off the shoulder sleeves. For her shoes they’re white lace heals with thin white bows at the heal. She’ll wear short white lace gloves and a small head accessory with a small veil shielding her face.
Abella being the fashion designer she is takes it upon herself to design her wedding dress. She’ll spend months sewing together the lace and gown together. Her strapless ball gown will be the wedding dress of her dreams. The gown itself is elegant with a floor length, giving enough room to show off her heals as she walks. She’ll buy a long cathedral wedding veil with lace and white bridal heals with white thin ribbons tied into bows around her ankles. She’ll decide to wear a black tailcoat vest with enough room to show off the front of her dress, making for a heart shaped look at the chest. The black tailcoat will be short with two small buttons in the front. Her wrists will have black suit cuffs and gold teal colored rose cuff links. She’ll wear rose gold hanging earrings with teardrop teal jewels to match the cuff links.
The day of the wedding Bella’s staff and friends will help her get ready at the boutique. Abella owns her own boutique with her business partner and bestie Crisella, so it’s big enough to accommodate all her friends. Since it’s self owned she closed for the day so all her staff could go to her wedding. They help her into her gown and give her a makeover. They like to call it a bridal makeover.
All her friends are good at makeup and hair. Abella has long dark locks of curls that require a lot to maintain. Her curls are waist length. Three of her friends begin to style it since she has so much hair to work with. One friend focuses on her eye makeup going for nude brown colors and shimmering inner corners to bring out Bella’s big brown eyes. Her long lashes are attached with an elegant look to them. Her lip gloss is a natural pink much like her manicured nails one of her staff members took upon themselves to do. Her manicure looked similar to a French tip.
After all is said and done Abella has curls dropping beside her face to shape her face. A big strand of her hair was wrapped around her head while the rest of her curls fell behind her shoulders. Her hairs falls down her back and waist. After she is done getting ready her friends begin to cry and take pictures of her inside her boutique. They all get ready for the wedding since they’re bridesmaids.
Finally at the huge rose garden Bella is walked down the isle first and her uncle has a smile upon his face as he’s walking her down the isle. His gold tooth among the rest of his white teeth shining eagerly as he smiles. His normal black eye patch is switched out with one having a pink rose stitched to his eyepatch. He wears a black suit with the front showing off some of his chest. The leather boots and ponytail finish off his look. He towers over the small bride at 5’11. Her long wedding viel is two tiered so the front covers her torso and face. The gown is big covering the area she walks by.
Her uncle gives her such a proud and loving smile before he kisses her head whispering an, “I love you” and she returns the loving words to her emotional uncle. Her veil is so long Mista and his stands take it upon themselves to fix it prompting Abella to thank them with a kiss to the foreheads. They all give her a thumbs up as they take their seats. Number five is crying and surprisingly the others don’t pick on him for it.
Abella tried keeping it together since she felt so overwhelmingly happy. Her loved ones in the crowd crying as well. Trish’s side is filled with mafioso, her manager, fellow celebrities, famous fashion designers or models she’s met, etc. They’re not emotional like Abella’s side but they do smile upon seeing Trish.
Soon it’s Trish’s turn to walk down the isle. Giorno is beside her wearing a pink suit with golden ladybug button accessories. The undershirt is black with the vest matching his jacket. His outfit is complete with a red tie and white gloves. His hair is down with a pink rose sticking by his ear. He is smiling but his smile doesn’t compare to Trish’s.
The pink haired bride is smiling like never before. It’s such a gaze she only makes while she’s singing on stage. Such a smile will make for a lovely picture as in the near future it will be used on the cover of a magazine when it’s revealed she had married. She kisses Giornos cheek before he gives Abella a kind smile which she returns with a thankful teary eyed expression. He’s happy for his dear friends and thinks it’s nice to witness their beautiful display of love with this marriage. More so when he hears their vows to each other later. He takes a seat between Fugo and Polnareff. His consigliere crying rivers of tears for poor Fugo to deal with. Who wipes off his purple suit with a tired sigh. Polnareff always cries at weddings.
Trish is greeted to Abella who is crying tears of joy. She tells Trish how beautiful she looks. Trish returns the compliment as she lifts her brides veil, gently placing it behind her head. Abella’s teary eyes are filled with love but she’s wiping off her tears. Afterwards the two say their vows and “I do’s” with tears running down their faces. Abella shyly kisses her bride and their picture is taken by their photographer.
They run down the isle together holding hands and looking at each other with love. Abella’s side is cheering while Trish’s side applauds. They’ll be taking pictures at the gazebo with all their friends and family.
Everyone makes it to the ballroom to dance. The brides are greeted by all their loved ones. Their bridesmaids crying and giving the two a big group hug.
Giorno takes it upon himself to steal the first dance by inviting Trish with a gentlemanly bow. She accepts while Abella giggles. Not long after her uncle asks her to dance with him. The two brides end up dancing with everyone.
Abella and Trish attack their dessert table since they’ve been eating so healthy to look good for the wedding. The giant wedding cake had their favorite flavors. Red velvet and extra dark chocolate for Trish who devoured two pieces. Carrot cake for Abella who also had strawberry shortcake from the dessert table. The two had plenty of guests especially Trish since she’s a celebrity. They took plenty of pictures with the wedding cake since it was so incredibly over priced.
At the end of the night they toss their bouquets who ended up being Fugo and Abella’s maid of honor, Crisella. Fugo was pleasantly surprised he caught it. He caught Trish’s bouquet. He was walking by to serve himself strawberry shortcake. Bella’s best friend was screaming as she cheered catching her bouquet.
The blushing brides end up at an expensive hotel Trish booked. For their honeymoon they traveled to Cancun to enjoy three days together. Trish would get many calls from her manager upon the news of her marriage being known as many wanted to contact her about it once she’s back from her honeymoon.

Fame and Art and Life and Love
a parallels post starring Dance Fever by Florence + the Machine and Midnights by Taylor Swift
***florence lyrics will be italicized // taylor lyrics will be bolded***
we argue in the kitchen about whether to have children, about the world ending and the scale of my ambition, and how much is art really worth? the very thing you're best at is the thing that hurts the most. but you need your rotten heart, your dazzling pain like diamond rings, you need to go to war to find material to sing. // all they keep asking me is if i'm gonna be your bride. the only kinda girl they see is a one-night or a wife. // he wanted it comfortable, i wanted that pain. he wanted a bride, i was making my own name, chasing that fame, he stayed the same. all of me changed like midnight. // fuckin' politics and gender roles and you're not sure and i don't know
i need my golden crown of sorrow, my bloody sword to swing, my empty halls to echo with grand self-mythology // sometimes i feel like everybody is a sexy baby and i'm a monster on the hill. too big to hang out, slowly lurching toward your favorite city, pierced through the heart but never killed // everybody agrees, everybody agreesssssssssss
but a woman is a changeling, always shifting shape, just when you think you've got it figured out something new begins to take // all of me changed like midnight // you see all the wisest women had to do it this way, cause we were born to be the pawns in every lover's game
and i was never as good as i always thought i was, but i knew how to dress it up, i was never satisfied, it never let me go, just dragged me by my hair and get back on with the show // do you hear my covert narcissism i disguise as altruism like some kind of congressman? // i'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror, it must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero.
sometimes i wonder if i should be medicated? if i would feel better just lightly sedated? // i said, "okay, but let's discuss this at the hospital" // when my depression works the graveyard shift all of the people i've ghosted stand there in the room // is it okay? is it you? or have they come to take me away?
i'm always running from something, i push it back but it keeps on coming, and being clever never got me very far // something different bloomed, writing in my room. i play my songs in the parking lot. i'll run away // i called a taxi to take me there // everything you lose is a step you take
something's comin', so out of breath, i just kept spinning and i danced myself to death // the pressure and the panic you push your body through // i should not be left to my own devices they come with vices and prices i end up in crisis // i hosted parties and starved my body
i came for the pleasure but i stayed (yes i stayed) for the pain // he wanted it comfortable, i wanted that pain
i thought that i was here with you, but it was always just an empty room, cause it's always the same // remember lookin' at this room? we loved it cause of the light. now i just sit in the dark and wonder if it's time
if they ever let me out, i'm gonna really let it out. i listen to music from 2006 and feel kind of sick. but, oh god, you're gonna get it, you'll be sorry that you messed with me // karma's on your scent like a bounty hunter, karma's gonna track you down, step by step from town to town
and in my darkest fantasies i am the picture of passivity, waiting for you side of stage, suppressing all my private rage // you should find another guiding light, but i shine so bright
i met the devil, you know he gave me a choice, golden heart or a golden voice // it's me, hi, i'm the problem, it's me // it must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero // she's laughing up at us from hell
am i your dream girl? you think of me in bed, but you could never hold me, you like me better in your head // baby boy, i think i've been too good of a girl. did all the extra credit then got graded on a curve
watch me shimmer // best believe i'm still bejeweled
i am nobody's moral center // you wouldn't take my word for it if you knew who was talkin' // and the voices that implore, "you should be doing more," to you i can admit that i'm just too soft for all of it
all the things that i ran from i now bring as close to me as i can // this is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. the floors we pace and the demons we face.
and if i run fast enough could i break apart? as empires crumble and cathedrals flatten in my heart // god rest my soul, i miss who i used to be, the tomb won't close, stained-glass windows in my mind
and every song i wrote became an escape rope tied around my neck to pull me up to heaven // these desperate prayers of a cursed man spilling out to you for free
i couldn't help it, yes i let it get in, the helpless optimism of spring. worn out and tired and my heart near retired and the world bent double from weeping. and yet the birds begin to sing // uh oh, i'm falling in love. oh no, i'm falling in love. oh, i'm falling in love. i thought the plane was going down, how'd you turn it right around?
i was always able to write my way out, the song always made sense to me, now i find that when i look down every page is empty // dear reader, burn all the files, desert all your past lives and if you don't recognize yourself that means you did it right
and have i learned restraint? am i quiet enough for you yet? // ladies always rise above, ladies know what people want, someone sweet and kind and fun. the lady's simply had enough.
but if i was free to love you, you wouldn't want me would you? unavailability is the only thing that turns you on // i've blown apart my life for you, bodies hit the floor for you, break me, shake me, devastate me, come here baby // and if i was a child, did it matter if you got to wash your hands? // and the god's honest truth is that the pain was heaven // you're a crisis of my faith, would've, would've, should've, if i'd only played it safe
sometimes you get the girl, sometimes you get the song // but the call, it always comes, the songs like children begging to be born, and oh i guess i got my wish // i guess sometimes we all get just what we wanted // i guess sometimes we all get some kind of haunted // on the way home i wrote a poem
if i make it to the mornin' i should'a come with a warnin'. and if i make it to the stage i'll show you what it means to be saved. oh you know i'm still afraid. i'm still crazy and i'm still scared. but if i make it to the stage i'll show you what it means to be spared! // it only feels this raw right now, lost in the labyrinth of my mind // the jokes weren't funny, i took the money, my friends from home don't know what to say. i looked around in a blood-soaked gown and i saw something they can't take away // you should find another guiding light, guiding light, but i shine so bright
and when it came it was stranger than i had ever imagined, no cracking open of heaven, but quiet and still // they said the end is comin', everyone's up to somethin', i find myself runnin' home to your sweet nothings
so tell me where to put my love, do i wait for time to do what it does? i don't know where to put my love // no one wanted to play with me as a little kid, so i've been scheming like a criminal ever since to make them love me and make it seem effortless, this is the first time i've felt the need to confess. and i swear, i'm only cryptic and machiavellian cause i care // i wake up screaming from dreaming one day i'll watch as you're leaving cause you got tired of my scheming for the last time
i don't love you, i just love the bomb. i let it burn, but it just had to be done. and i'm in ruins, but is it what i wanted, all along? // every single thing i touch becomes sick with sadness, cause it's all over now, it's all out to sea
my montage of lost things, my shiny trinkets of grief // i find the artifacts, cried over a hat, cursed the space that i needed. i trace the evidence, make it make some sense why the wound is still bleeding?
#taylor swift#florence + the machine#parallels#midnights#dance fever#yes this has been rattling around in my brain for months just never quite this crystallized#there's also a lot of other parallels (stuff taylor has said on stage is mostly what i'm thinking of)#but i limited this specifically to the albums and the midnights prologue

Moussa Rosaire Rousseau
ルソー・ロザエール
b. 8 September in Bordeaux, France
Parents: Moussa Rousseau (d.) and Agnès Konate Rousseau (d.)
Siblings: None
Physical Attributes:
Height: 1,54m (5ft1in)
Weight: 52kg (114lb)
Type 4c hair, naturally black but often dyed brown or red, occasionally with colorful portions or extensions. Always kept in either knotless braids or cornrows. Lower half of his hair is kept shaved tight, so the braids are only on top but kept long.
He has sharp, slightly angled eyes that are blue. Nose is fairly broad by round, lips are full, and face is a soft heart-shape. His skin is a deep hickory shade. He is a meticulous user of moisturizers and cremes and lotions and potions, so he has a perfect complexion and soft skin. His facial hair, and body hair for that matter, has all been permanent removed. Eyebrows are meticulously kept but are on the slight side to begin with.
Style and Appearance:
Light cosmetics are common: mascara and eyeliner every day; lip tint and eyeshadow when he needs to look nice; full foundation and all when he needs to look stunning. (Or if he's feeling particularly 'beautiful' on any given day, whatever!)
Generally, he styles himself with more feminine-feeling clothing however it is typically made custom for him or is a customized designer good. Most of it would be a men's style or cut, but with traditionally feminine fabrics, colors and accoutrements. He loves gold jewelry, especially with diamonds or coordinating gemstones. He has a single piercing in his nose and multiple on each ear. Typically, ear jewelry is worn asymmetrically, with a long or large earring on the right and a coordinating piece or a mate for the large earring on the left. He always has at least one necklace on, whether it be a simple chain or a statement piece. Bracelets are more uncommon, and he might wear one fashion ring or he might wear multiple.
Personality:
He's a spoiled brat, especially in his youth. As an adult he's full of himself and quite prideful. He's got charisma and a mind for running his business empire. Demanding, focused; he's a classic type A personality on the brink of burnout. To compensate, he's addicted to social media where he has a decent following. (He's 'famous' for being rich; he is not an entertainer of any sort, and his business ventures aren't particularly interesting to the younger generation.)
He's surrounded by acquaintances and a strong social and professional network, but he has little time or want for a long-term romantic partner. He does, however, keep Grindr installed on his phone for when he doesn't have a new flavor-of-the-month plaything, whether it be somebody from a club, a social media influencer, or the like. As he enters his thirties, he's getting a bit tired of this game, but it's all he knows.
By adulthood he is completely fluent in English and French and has passable Japanese. He has few creative abilities or skills though he appreciates the arts. To supports those like him but without the resources, and as a slight to his late father, he is a lifelong donor to a major LGBT organization that offers counselling, education and other resources for LGBT youth. He attended private and group sessions and classes lead by the same organization, behind his father's back, when he was finding his own place in the world.
He is attracted to men of all varieties with zero interest in women (bordering on an aversion to the gender, save for Fabienne).
Brief Background:
Born into exceptional wealth, Rosaire is the only child of a multi-millionaire businessman. His family owns one Africa and Europe's largest logistics companies and during his youth things start getting global. His mother died with he was just shy of five years old and his father was definitely not the type to be a parent. He was raised by his nanny alongside her own daughter, Fabienne, whom he views as a sister.
When he is twelve years old his father and his business partner decide to begin investing heavily in the Asian market, starting with buying out a large courier company in Japan. He uproots his son and they move to Osaka which is an extreme culture shock to the boy. His only saving graces are that his nanny and Fabienne come with, and his school is an international academy that is comprised mostly of the children of other elites from all around the world.
Few of his fellow classmates find him to be particularly friend-worthy but they include him anyway. They're all much bigger fans of Fabienne. The two of them, however, do face an interesting combination of racism and genuine curiosity from the locals when they are out and about with the nanny and chauffeur. Rosaire is relieved of the bullying for his particularly petite stature; he can handle trying to sternly educate about racism if it means he doesn't have to suffer another short joke.
The supposedly brief stay in Japan turns into years and years. Rosaire goes to university at an elite school nearby. During his first year his father dies, and he suddenly has immense freedom. He loses control of his life due to excessive partying, whatever all you can imagine that entails, until he is brought back to reality by his best friend from senior high school and Fabienne. Once he finishes his education, he is officially given control of his family's company and he grows it like never before.
Fun Facts:
Favorite Color: Purple
Favorite Flower: Wild Flowers
Favorite Mental Breakdown Activity: Eating greasy fast food and watching reality TV
Secret Skill or Passion: Collecting Mercedes-Benz vehicles and philately (don't you DARE call it stamp collecting)
Biggest Pet Peeves: Calling him by his legal given name and short jokes

A Guide to Buying a Diamond Necklace
Buying a diamond necklace for women is a meaningful investment, whether for an engagement, an anniversary, or just to add a beautiful piece to your jewelry collection. With so many choices available in the market, it's important to consider factors like the diamond's quality, design, setting, and budget.
Understanding the 4 Cs—cut, color, clarity, and carat weight can help you choose wisely. You'll also want to pick a necklace style that suits the person's taste and style, like a simple solitaire, a pendant, or a bold statement piece. This blog will help you make a smart and memorable choice.
Things to Keep in Mind While Buying a Diamond Necklace
Every girl wishes to buy a diamond for herself. Some wish to have a diamond heart necklace while some prefer diamond cross pendants. You can even go for diamond rings and bracelets which also add an elegant touch to your personality. The classy feel of a diamond cannot be compared to any other metal.
Let us now go further and learn some tips to keep in mind while buying a diamond necklace for yourself.
Make a Budget
Initially, whenever you plan to buy a diamond necklace for yourself, you need to make sure that you are clear with your budget. Diamond necklaces are quite expensive, so you need to be clear with your finances. Knowing how much you will be able to afford will help you make a clear decision.
Certification and Authentication
Another important thing to consider before buying a diamond necklace is its authenticity. Always ask for a certification after you have bought the necklace. This gives you a surety that the diamond necklace you’ve bought is genuine. This certification verifies the quality of the diamond, ensuring that the attributes—cut, color, clarity, and carat weight, match the seller’s description.
Understanding the Four Cs
You can’t just go to the store and directly buy a diamond necklace. There are some factors that you need to consider to make sure that it is authentic. You need to understand the 4Cs: cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. These are the main factors that affect a diamond's quality and price.
Choosing the Right Diamond Necklace Style
When buying a diamond necklace, the next step is choosing a style that matches the wearer’s taste and the occasion. Here are some popular options:
Solitaire Necklace
This necklace features a single diamond as the main focus, usually hanging from a simple chain. It's a classic and simple design that highlights the beauty of the diamond. It gives an elegant look to your personality.
Pendant Necklace
A pendant necklace has a small charm or design that hangs from the chain. Pendants come in many styles, like hearts, circles, or more creative shapes like butterflies or stars. They can feature one larger diamond or several smaller ones. Couples usually prefer heart-shaped diamond necklaces to showcase their love for each other.
Choker and Collar Necklaces
Choker necklaces sit comfortably around the neck and offer a bold, trendy look. These can have a single row of diamonds or a more detailed design. Collar necklaces are similar but rest more comfortably around the neck.
Statement Necklaces
These are large, eye-catching necklaces with diamonds in different shapes and sizes, often with unique patterns or clusters of stones. Statement necklaces are perfect for special occasions like weddings, where you want to stand out and make a strong impression.
Choosing the Right Metal
The metal that you choose in the setting of your diamond necklace plays an important role in its overall appearance. Some of the popular options are:
White Gold
White gold is a popular choice for diamond necklaces due to its modern look. It complements the brilliance of diamonds and has a timeless appeal.
Yellow Gold
Yellow gold offers a warm, traditional look that complements diamonds with a slight yellow tint. It's an excellent choice for those who prefer a classic or vintage style.
Rose Gold
Rose gold has become increasingly popular for its romantic and unique touch. It pairs beautifully with diamonds adding a soft and feminine touch to the jewelry.
Platinum
Platinum is a rare and durable metal often chosen for high-end diamond jewelry. It has a silvery-white appearance that complements diamonds well. Its strength ensures that your diamonds are securely set.
Conclusion
In conclusion, buying a diamond necklace is a meaningful decision. By learning about the 4 Cs, picking the right style, and thinking about the metal and budget, you can choose a necklace that suits your taste and the occasion. If you pay proper attention, a diamond necklace can become a cherished and timeless piece.

Why Should You Invest in a Women Pendant Chain Necklace in Rose Gold Color and How to Find the Perfect Rose Gold Pendant Design?
The Timeless Appeal of a Women Pendant Chain Necklace in Rose Gold Color
Women pendant chain necklace rose gold color is a sensitive yet impressive piece of jewellery that has won over trendsetters around the world. With its mixture of copper & gold, rose gold emits a fragile pink color that sums refinement & comfort. Due to its alluring magnetism, the color has been popular & is now the go-to choice for individuals who desire something refined without being too garish. Due to its flexibility, it may be worn formally as well as casually, day or night, & is consequently an essential piece for women of all ages. A rose gold pendant chain necklace is a vintage supplement to any jewellery collection, either you are searching for something for yourself or a beloved.
Examining the Range of Designs for Rose Gold Pendants
The necklace's overall appeal is greatly influenced by the rose gold pendant design. Rose gold's distinctive color suits a variety of personal preferences and works well for both simple and elaborate designs. For those who appreciate subtle elegance, simple, elegant pendants with a heart-shaped design or a single diamond give eternal appeal. On the other hand, more elaborate patterns with geometric shapes, floral themes, or vintage-inspired patterns offer a stronger style ideal for big events. Rose gold accentuates fine details, giving even ornate designs a sense of balance and refinement that lets women show off their individuality and sense of taste.
Why Purchasing a Rose Gold Pendant Set Is Beneficial
An opportunity to create a sleek and unified style is presented by a rose gold pendant set. These sets are perfect for women who like a coordinated look because they usually come with matching bracelets or earrings. The parts of a rose gold pendant set can be worn separately for various occasions or combined for a cohesive look, making it a convenient and adaptable choice. A rose gold pendant set adds style and functionality to formal occasions like weddings and celebrations or can be given as a heartfelt present for a particular occasion. Rose gold is the ideal present for showing love and gratitude because of its delicate, romantic tone.
Rose gold jewelry's sentimental value and symbolic meaning
Beyond only being aesthetically pleasing, a rose gold pendant chain necklace for ladies has additional appeal. Rose gold is a popular choice for engagement rings, anniversary presents, and other sentimental jewellery items since it has long been connected to love, passion, and femininity. It is an especially sentimental and intimate present because of its delicate blush, which can arouse feelings of warmth and affection. Furthermore, rose gold gains endurance from the copper and gold combination, guaranteeing that the jewellery item will endure for many years. Because it lasts longer than other metals and requires less maintenance, rose gold is preferred by many ladies.
Is a Necklace with a Rose Gold Pendant Chain a Good Investment?
It's crucial to consider this investment as more than just a buy, even though the rose gold pendant chain necklace's price may change depending on a number of variables. Fine rose gold jewellery is a wise financial investment because it holds its value over time. The cost of a rose gold pendant is frequently justified by the quality and materials used, particularly when buying from respectable jewellers. Rose gold jewelry's durability and classic appeal make it a worthwhile investment, yet factors including gold purity, design complexity, and whether the piece is part of a designer collection can affect the price.
Locating a Personalized Rose Gold Pendant Design That Expresses Your Personality
There are countless ways to show uniqueness and personality with a rose gold pendant design for individuals looking for a signature piece. There is a rose gold pendant for everyone, regardless of your preference for intricate designs influenced by history or nature or simple, geometric shapes. The pinkish tone of rose gold is accentuated by the stunning contrasts it creates with a variety of gemstones, including sapphires, pearls, and diamonds. Knowing your own style and how you want to wear the item—whether as a statement piece for special events or as an everyday accessory—will help you choose the best design.
Rose gold's adaptability when combined with other jewellery
The ease with which a rose gold pendant set can be combined with different pieces of jewellery is another important feature. Because of its adaptability, rose gold may blend nicely with other metals like platinum, silver, or yellow gold without looking out of place. For women who enjoy mixing and matching their accessories, this makes it perfect. A rose gold pendant set can provide a new, contemporary addition to the collection of people who already own items made of other metals. Rose gold offers versatility and sophistication that few other metals can match, whether it is worn alone for a sleek, elegant look or layered with other jewellery.
Demand and Market Trends Impacting the Cost of Rose Gold Pendant Chain Necklaces
