the “Islam is oppressive towards women because period blood is impure” argument will never not send me to the floor.
jaan. sit down.
The first thing you need to know is that in Islam, coming into contact with human waste makes you impure— not as in gross, impure as in you must perform Wudu, the ritual of washing your body with clean water, before performing any religious practice. When you have performed Wudu, you are in a state of purity and can pray, touch the Quran, fast, perform Umrah/Hajj, you name it.
Some things nullify your Wudu, making you impure again. You cannot perform any of the aforementioned religious practices until you re-enter a state of purity, by performing Wudu once more. You cannot even enter a masjid until you are pure again.
There are different ways that your state of purity becomes void. Indeed, one such way is that you come into contact with human waste. This includes piss, crap, and of course, period blood, or the shed lining of the uterus.
Do not come at me with “sweating and exhaling carbon dioxide count as producing waste” I will block you. Those are not included for obvious reasons. Sweat, let alone one’s breath, is not considered on the same level of impure as urine or feces. This is common sense.
Period blood does make you impure. Just like how peeing makes you impure, pooping makes you impure. Did you know that even farting will nullify your Wudu? How about sleeping?
(The logic behind the sleeping one is that you may not necessarily have released waste or passed gas in your sleep, but you don’t know for sure, so there is always a chance that you have. It is best to play it safe and assume you are impure after sleeping and perform Wudu again.)
Period blood is the same kind of impurity as pee or poop. It’s natural, but it is still impure. You’re not allowed to perform any religious practice after coming into contact with these until you have made Wudu. It’s that simple. Women are not inherently impure, but urinating and defecating will make anyone impure. Period blood is merely an additional waste product women have to look out for.
The only difference is that when a woman is on her period, for those few consecutive days, she will be in a constant state of impurity. This is because shedding the uterine lining is a constant process that takes multiple days. So even if we perform Wudu, our period will continue to flow until the uterus is done shedding its lining. So for those few days, we simply avoid praying, fasting, touching the Quran, going to the masjid, or any other religious practice.
Yes, this is the major reason. Another reason women cannot perform religious acts is because Allah (SWT) wants to make His religion easy for His followers. He (SWT) knows His creation best, which is why He mandates this time off of prayers and fasting for women. We are often in pain during periods, and in Islam you are not obligated to perform anything that puts a strain on you or can hurt you physically.
There is no obligation on women to compensate for any prayers they miss while on their period. For Ramadan, we are given the option to make up the days of fasting that we miss after Ramadan is over. If I remember correctly, the only deadline is the beginning of the next Ramadan. (I may be incorrect about this, though, so if anyone has a definite answer I would appreciate being educated.) This further illustrates how Allah’s wisdom makes His faith easier on women, because of the unique challenges we face.
Lastly, periods are not a taboo subject in Islam. We are encouraged to pursue science and learn more about ourselves and our world, why would discussing periods be taboo? That is an unfortunate cultural norm that Muslims in many countries have confused with their Islamic beliefs. Discussing periods would be the same as discussing one’s digestive or excretory health. Obviously there are times when it’s not appropriate, but it must not be avoided.
Again, it’s just waste. It’s nothing to be afraid of. Islam does not teach humans, especially women, to be afraid of talking about our bodily functions. Certain countries’ cultures do.
It is absolutely haraam to declare something is haraam or forbidden in Islam when it is not. But Christians in the West don’t get the same flack for not following their religion perfectly that Muslims do.
thanks for attending my lecture! as always, don’t forget to eat your greens! from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
#lightgriffinsect express#islam#muslim#periods#muslim women#being muslim#islamic life#muslim life#women in islam#women’s health#period health#women are not required to even shave our arm or leg hair#that is a western norm that Muslims in some countries have adopted.#human waste is not the only thing that makes you impure btw! there are other factors I didn’t mention bc they weren’t relevant#but vomiting and having sex also make you impure#vomit and semen are impure substances that one must make Wudu after touching#important

Something I wish that more people understood abt hirsutism is how very thick and strong the roots of our hair is. All of the roots on my body hair are comparable to men’s, even when the hair looks thin above the skin, the root is absolutely atrocious and aggressive. So much of my body (arms, back, stomach, nipples, legs, bikini line etc etc) has scars and pigmentation that are years old because of scabbing and rashes and bleeding from removing the hair. Even shaving is painful because cutting the hair makes it so sharp the regrowth literally feels like it’s cutting my skin. I’ve had skin infections that required prescription meds just because of the extent of damage hair removal did to my skin.
And it’s just absurd to me that it’s so crucial to so much of society that women play into this weird charade that we naturally don’t have any body hair and must immediately remove the hair we grow, that they would rather we go through this than just.. not remove the hair.
#anti hair removal#anti shaving#pro body hair#i think about how often i heard the phrase 'beauty is pain' growing up (only ever applied to women of course) and i just.... can't fathom#like surely beauty is the opposite of pain? beauty is happiness beauty is freedom beauty is love beauty is nature?#but here we are

Top Waxing Service in Christchurch: Smooth, Hair-Free Skin with Flawless Beauty
Waxing is an age-old technique of hair removal that has become a vital aspect of beauty procedures all across the world, including right here in Christchurch.
We provide Top Waxing Service in Christchurch at Flawless Beauty that is meant to keep your skin feeling silky smooth for a few weeks after the treatment. If you are getting ready for a particular event or simply desire the sensation of hair-free skin, our extensive waxing treatments have been created to meet the requirements of each and every part of the body.
What is Waxing?
The applying of wax to the skin during the waxing process facilitates the wax’s attachment to the hair. The hair is then quickly taken off its base when the wax is removed. This method provides the client with smooth skin that, depending on their natural hair growth pattern, is hairy for four to six weeks. This technique works well to remove hair from the following body parts:
Eyebrows: With proper eyebrow waxing, you can get brows that comply with your perfect shape.
Face: for example hair on the upper lip or chin, needs to be removed from the face.
Bikini Area: Either you want to clean up the bikini line or select a Brazilian wax that will be more broad you must think about getting your bikini area wax.
Legs: Without the pain of shaving, you can have silky legs with this treatment.
Arms: Our competent arm waxing therapies will help you say goodbye to the hair that grows on your arms.
Back: Waxing your back, which works for both men and women, will help you get a better back.
Abdomen: Waxing treatments for the abdomen will help you ensure that the area around your stomach is without hair.
Knuckles and Feet: Even small areas, such as knuckles and feet, can benefit from our careful waxing methods.
Why Choose Our Top Waxing Service in Christchurch?
Waxing offers multiple advantages over other hair removal techniques. Waxing produces finer, less obvious, softer growth than shaving does. This is so because hair from the hair roots is removed after waxing. The skin is helped to be washed and left looking clean and soft. Since many clients report significantly fewer hair growth during waxing sessions, waxing is a long-term hair reduction technique that is enticing.

Trimmer vs. Razor vs. Creams: Which is Best for Women's Hair Removal?
Experience the ultimate in personal grooming with our 2-in-1 Electric Hair Removal Trimmer. Designed specifically for women, this versatile and efficient trimmer ensures a painless and safe shaving experience, perfect for the entire body. Whether it's your face, legs, armpits, bikini line, or any other curvy area, our trimmer provides a smooth, close shave without the worry of pulling or cutting your skin. Embrace silky smooth skin and boost your confidence with every shave.
Why Choose a Trimmer Over Razors and Creams?
When it comes to hair removal, women have several options: trimmers, razors, and hair removal creams. Let's explore why a trimmer, especially our 2-in-1 Electric Hair Removal Trimmer, stands out as the best choice.
Trimmer vs. Razor
Trimmer:
Gentle and Painless: Unlike razors that can cause cuts, nicks, and razor burns, trimmers are designed to be gentle on the skin. Our trimmer's hypoallergenic blades ensure a smooth and painless shave, making it ideal for sensitive areas.
Versatile Use: Trimmers are perfect for both long and short hairs, providing a close shave without the risk of skin irritation.
Convenience: Electric trimmers are quick and easy to use, offering a hassle-free grooming experience. Our 2-in-1 trimmer features a square foil shaving head for the whole body and a round rotating head for close shaving of short, tiny hairs.
Razor:
Risk of Cuts and Irritation: Razors can often lead to cuts, nicks, and razor burns, especially in sensitive areas. They require careful handling to avoid skin damage.
Frequent Replacement: Razor blades dull quickly and need to be replaced often, which can be inconvenient and costly.
Limited Use: Razors are generally less effective on shorter hairs and require the hair to be of a certain length for an effective shave.
Trimmer vs. Creams
Trimmer:
Quick and Efficient: Trimmers offer an instant solution for hair removal without waiting for chemicals to take effect.
No Chemicals: Unlike hair removal creams, trimmers do not involve any harsh chemicals that can cause skin reactions or allergies.
Reusable: Electric trimmers are a one-time investment, providing long-term use without the need for continuous purchases.
Creams:
Chemical Exposure: Hair removal creams contain chemicals that can sometimes cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, or unpleasant odors.
Waiting Time: Creams require a waiting period for the chemicals to break down the hair, which can be time-consuming.
Messy Application: The application and removal process of creams can be messy and inconvenient.
The Best Choice: 2-in-1 Electric Hair Removal Trimmer
Our 2-in-1 Electric Hair Removal Trimmer is the best choice for women seeking a painless, efficient, and convenient hair removal solution. Here’s why:
Key Features:
2-in-1 Electric Shaver: Equipped with a square foil shaving head for the whole body and a round rotating head for close shaving of short, tiny hairs. Perfect for legs, arms, armpits, bikini lines, and more.
Gentle & Painless: Say goodbye to painful waxing and razor burns. Our specialized electric shaver is designed to provide a seamless and gentle shave, even for dry or sensitive skin, thanks to hypoallergenic blades.
IPX7 Waterproof: Enjoy the convenience of wet or dry shaving. Fully washable and easy to clean, this shaver can be used in the shower and rinsed under running water. The included small brush helps with thorough cleaning of residuals.
Portable & Convenient: Compact and portable, this women's shaver is perfect for use at home or on the go. Enjoy comfortable shaving anytime, anywhere.
Conclusion
When it comes to choosing the best hair removal method for women, our 2-in-1 Electric Hair Removal Trimmer stands out as the superior choice. Offering a gentle, painless, and efficient shaving experience, it surpasses the limitations of razors and creams. Say goodbye to cuts, irritation, and chemical exposure, and embrace the convenience and versatility of our trimmer. Tired of Shaving and Waxing? Find a Permanent Solution with Laser Hair Removal
Unwanted body hair can be embarrassing and difficult to manage. Shaving, waxing, tweezing — the endless cycle of hair removal routines takes precious time out of our busy schedules. What if there was a convenient, long-lasting solution to get rid of unwanted hair? There is — laser hair removal has become an incredibly popular way for both men and women in Indira Nagar, Lucknow and beyond to achieve smooth, hair-free skin.
What Exactly is Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal utilises highly concentrated light energy to target and destroy hair follicles, preventing future hair growth. Treatments use a handheld device to deliver laser energy to the treatment area in short, rapid pulses. The lasers used are designed to specifically target the pigment in hair follicles while avoiding damage to surrounding skin. Most patients require between 3 to 7 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart to achieve the best results.
Benefits of Undergoing Laser Hair Removal
There are many excellent reasons to consider laser hair treatments :
Long-lasting Results: Once the treatment series is completed, most patients enjoy smooth skin for months or even years before touch-up sessions are required. With consistent treatments, laser hair removal can even offer permanent hair reduction.
Improved Skin Texture: Removing unwanted body hair reveals soft, smooth skin without the bumps, irritation and ingrown hairs that can accompany shaving or waxing. Skin feels and looks rejuvenated.
Saves Time: Say goodbye to daily shaving or weekly waxing appointments! Laser hair removal dramatically cuts down on grooming time.
Increased Confidence: Having stubble-free, attractive looking skin can greatly boost self-confidence. Laser hair removal offers the freedom to wear whatever clothing you desire without worrying about unsightly hair.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Lip, chin, cheeks, neck, arms, underarms, fingers, toes, bikini area, legs, back — laser hair removal can successfully treat hair on virtually all body areas for both women and men. For sensitive regions, a topical anesthetic is often applied beforehand to maximize comfort.
Is Laser Hair Removal Safe?
When performed by an experienced, licensed technician using modern FDA-approved equipment, laser hair removal is widely considered a safe, non-invasive treatment. However, it’s important patients understand there are some risks to be aware of:
Discomfort/Pain: Most laser sessions feel similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Topical numbing creams can help minimize any discomfort.
Skin Irritation: Temporary redness and swelling around the treatment area is common and typically resolves within a few hours. Applying aloe vera gel helps soothe the skin.
Pigment Changes: On darker skin tones, treated areas may develop lighter or darker patches that eventually normalize over time. Avoiding sun exposure can help reduce this risk.
By selecting a reputable laser hair removal provider in Indira Nagar and adhering to all pre and post-treatment guidelines, patients can safely achieve smooth, stubble-free skin.
Cost of Laser Hair Removal in Indira Nagar, Lucknow
Laser hair removal costs in Indira Nagar are very reasonable compared to many other metro regions across India. Per session pricing often ranges from Rs. 1500 — Rs. 3500 depending on the size of the area being treated. Many clinics offer discounted packages for treating multiple body zones.

switchblade faith // spencer reid - chapter 1
summary: one month after joining the BAU, Clea is still settling in. between solving murders and getting acclimated to DC, the only comfortable thing in her life is her friendship with Dr. Spencer Reid.
relationship: fem!OC/Spencer Reid
word count: 3.4k
hi all! welcome to my new story.
I've never written a baby Spence fic before, but I'm gonna try my best. I just wanted to get something out of the way before the book starts:
aside from the fact that it's young Spencer, this book isn't placed in a specific season. I might pull cases from different episodes, but the characters will remain the same. I've included Emily and Rossi as characters because I couldn't bear to have a story without either of them (wouldn't want to subject any of you to a Prentiss-less world).
that's pretty much it. I'm glad you're here. if you wanna read my other stories, my masterlist is here.
happy reading :)
"HA!" I slap my hand down on the pile of cards and slide it towards me, organizing them in a neat pile with a smug expression.
"this game is a sham." Spencer sighs, reaching for his book.
"you're just mad you lost." I raise an eyebrow and shuffle the cards again. "you don't wanna play another round?"
"why would I? the only skill this game requires is fast reflexes." he runs hazel eyes down the page with an alarming quickness. I scoff at his disinterest.
"maybe if you trained those reflexes as much as you trained that big genius brain of yours, you'd get a leg up." Morgan teases from his spot next to me. Spencer glances at him with a frown, his cheeks turning a light pink, before looking to me. I throw up my hands.
"he said it, not me." secretly, I smile at the fact that Derek is backing me up.
"I could beat any of you in poker." Reid defends.
"easily. it helps that I don't even know how to play." I slide the cards back into the holder and cross my arms over my chest with a sigh.
"you don't know how to play poker?" he's shocked.
"I told you, I hate card games like that!" I emphasize. things like poker, blackjack, anything that involves multiple players, I usually don't enjoy much. Emily glances up from her case file with a tiny smirk.
"why?"
"I'm a sore loser." I admit, averting my eyes. there's also the risk factor involved, which includes giving up coins or pretzels or peanuts if I lose. I tend to cling tightly to all three. Prentiss lets out a laugh and Spencer flips the page of his book.
"and winner, apparently."
"you're sassy today, aren't you?" I grin at him, pleasantly surprised.
in the month I've been working here, I haven't spoken to Spencer very much. he's been polite and I've gotten to know his intellect quite well, but he doesn't spend a lot of time with us outside of work. when we go out to get drinks, he either declines or heads home before we can even ask, a bag full of books pressed to his side.
I think he just takes a while to get comfortable around new people-- that's what JJ said when I asked why he seemed to be avoiding me. the fact that he played cards with me today felt like a victory in itself, so I'll take what I can get.
Spencer doesn't reply to my dig, only crosses his long, narrow legs and settles into his book.
"we should start briefing before we land." Hotch and Rossi walk over from their spots at the front of the plane to sit on the couch by our table. I nod eagerly and watch as Emily flips open her laptop to FaceTime Penelope about the case.
the first couple cases were more difficult than I expected because I had never worked in the field before joining the BAU, but I'm starting to get used to flying around constantly and examining actual dead bodies. working sex crimes meant I spent most of my time in front of a computer screen or just staying in the office. this is incredibly different-- which I'm starting to find might not to be a bad thing.
"--the virus killed her hard drive and left that on the screen." Penelope explains, referring to the picture of Heather Woodland's computer.
"'for heaven's sake, catch me before I kill more. I cannot control myself'." Morgan reads the message aloud from the case file. the words feel familiar in my mind and I try to remember where I've heard them before.
"that's exactly what William Heirens left behind." Spencer sparks the memory. I sit up straighter.
"the Lipstick Killer?" my fingertips trace over the case details. it's a weird aspect of the murder to emulate, especially because he didn't even leave the message in lipstick. I guess he's not really concerned with that; based on the unsub's previous victims, we have just under 36 hours to find her.
"his first victim was Melissa Kirsh, 26," Reid scratches his nose as he reads, frowning so hard that I start to think he'll form permanent wrinkles. he's got such a baby face, it's almost funny. "stab wounds, strangulation."
"so he stabbed her first, and then strangled her to finish the job?" Morgan repeats.
"what's with using a belt for the second murder?" Emily flips through the papers, confused. Spencer stiffens in his spot as he realizes this is the perfect time to share his freakishly expansive forensic knowledge.
"strangulation with your bare hands actually isn't as easy as you would believe. he probably tried it, found that it took too long, then stabbed her. and blood takes a long time to clean, so he decided a belt would be more efficient."
"he's perfecting his method." I can't tear my eyes away from the photos, despite the roiling sensation they put in my stomach. even with the things I've already seen, I don't think I'll ever get over photographs like this.
"we'll be landing soon and then we're meeting up with the Seattle field office. be ready to split up once we hit the ground." Hotch snaps shut his case file and stands up, breaking off to go sit alone. Rossi takes note of the old card deck that sits on the table.
"poker?" he looks between the four of us.
"nope." Emily chuckles.
"this one doesn't know how to play." Morgan gestures to me, causing Rossi to turn to me.
"were you raised in a barn?" he asks in his usual manner of speaking: blunt sarcasm with a hint of mockery. I frown sarcastically.
"something like that."
"at some point this week, we'll sit down and I'll teach you." he gets up, pats my shoulder, and walks over to join Hotch. I lower my voice once he's far enough away.
"is he actually gonna make me do that?"
"you don't know Rossi." Morgan shakes his head slowly, slides his headphones back on, and sinks into his seat.
"I'll join and bring JJ with me." Emily winks at me reassuringly, noting the tapping of my nail against the surface of the table. Rossi is a legend in the field and I've read all of his books, but didn't want to freak him out by telling him so. it was embarrassing enough when I met him and got tongue-tied while shaking his hand. he's got an elusive energy that intimidates me, and I'd prefer not to showcase that by humiliating myself with poker.
instead of dwelling on thoughts of how I'm going to fail in front of my idol, I open up one of my books and try to pass the time.
...
while I'm writing some notes on one of the many white boards scattered throughout the field office, I realize that I'm one of four other women in the room, including Emily. she's talking to Hotch and another agent at the opposite end of the room; Reid is unpacking his signature book bag and seems deep in thought. Rossi is reading a document. everyone around me seems to be in a hurry to do something, and I begin to feel dumb.
"you okay?" Morgan asks me. I realize that I've been standing with my marker hovering over the board. my fingertips press into my temple before I turn to him.
"yeah, definitely. just thinking." my mind travels to the map we've got pasted up and the red marker lines that Spencer has already created with the geographical profile.
"looks like we're getting the classic Seattle treatment." Derek points outside to the rain pelting the windows, streaming down the glass and distorting the glow of the city outside. it's gloomy today, with a slight chill running through the streets. I nod and turn back to my task, suddenly realizing something.
"he's willing to travel with the body." I mutter to myself. Morgan steps up next to me, crosses his arms across his chest.
"he must drive a vehicle that can conceal one, then." he glances over to Hotch to see what the unit chief has to say, but Spencer speaks up first.
"one in seven point four drivers in Seattle owns an SUV." it's like a flip switches at the mention of a statistic, diverting his attention from something nebulous in his mind to the tangible case. he's a little similar to a robot.
"an Explorer with tinted windows?" Morgan speaks again as he looks over the case photos.
"those rate higher among women." Spencer again.
"sure, but how do we know it's his car?" I wonder.
"what about a Jeep Cherokee?" Hotch chimes in, almost startling me with the deep register of his voice. I pull my bottom lip between my teeth as I think on it.
"Jeeps are more masculine." Reid comes close to me in order to examine the picture I'm holding. he smells like clean laundry and some nice soap scent that I can't place. maybe it's the gel he uses to slick back his hair. no cologne or aftershave. I don't think he'd need to shave, what with his smooth baby face.
Spencer has some special quirks that make him a little more interesting. he usually avoids physical contact with other people-- doesn't shake hands-- but at other times, he doesn't seem to have self-awareness. like right now, where the shoulder of his red sweater is just barely touching mine. I hand him the picture and step away.
"unsubs love to assert their masculinity."
Hotch nods along, encouraging me to share more of what I'm thinking. after swallowing down a lingering nervousness, I tap the push pin marking where the last body was dumped. "he dropped her out-of-state, so he probably has a previous knowledge of law enforcement. maybe he's got a criminal record?"
"good, Williams." Hotch praises me. my fist clenches triumphantly at my side as he turns to the agent who has been watching us intently. "when do we meet with your task force?"
"four." the man replies. I balk at this, my posture shifting. the shortest time constraint I've ever had here has been a full day. it's already one in the afternoon.
"you want an accurate profile by four today?" I glance between Morgan and Spencer, but the latter is rocking back and forth on his heels with his eyes glued to the white board. Morgan doesn't seem put off by it.
"we can do that." Hotch scowls, snapping shut the case file with a finality that tells me we're about to split up. "Dave and Morgan, head to the last dump site. Williams, Reid, I want you to talk to Heather's brother and try to find out what you can about her life. Prentiss and I will stay here in case of new developments."
I nod curtly, grab my jacket, and glance over at Spencer. he runs his hand over his hair, although I can't imagine what there is to smooth down, then walks over to me.
"you ready to go?" I ask, brandishing the file. he and I have only done two interviews together; I spent most of my beginning weeks working with Emily to get a feel for the job. both times with the boy genius have been fine, if not a little awkward.
he nods in answer to my question. "would you mind driving?"
"no license?" I tease to lighten the mood, but he doesn't get the joke. instead, he frowns at me with something of a distracted expression, adjusts his bag.
"no, I don't like driving in the rain."
"oh," I recover quickly and put a friendly smile on my face. "no problem."
"thanks." he walks ahead of me and I cringe at my own behavior. he acts so differently from earlier on the jet that I start to wonder if I did something wrong. maybe he's just in his head or something; I know I would be if I had an IQ that enormous.
when we get to the house of Heather Woodland's brother, a gorgeous golden lab greets us in the entryway. she puts her paws up on my legs and I reach down to scratch behind her ears with a smile on my face.
"Sandy, calm down." her owner grabs her collar gently to calm her. "sorry."
"no, it's fine, I love dogs." I wave it off and step inside. Spencer is eyeing Sandy warily, but she seems just as eager to say hi to him as she was to me. when she lets out a singular, enthusiastic bark, he startles.
"Mr. Woodland," I suppress my laugh by changing the subject. "I'm Special Agent Williams and this is Special Agent Dr. Reid."
we shake hands, my colleague giving his usual wave and polite smile. the interviewee takes in Spencer's appearance. I know what's coming.
"you look too young for medical school." Woodland says to Reid. this has happened a couple times since I joined the team, but Spencer never seems to mind. if anything, he lights up at the opportunity to share the reason for his official title.
"they're PhD's. three of them." he gives a little smile as we walk into the house, me shaking a few stray raindrops from my hair.
"so... are you a genius or something?" Heather's brother leads us past the hallway into the living room, which is unkempt and littered with pictures, catalogs, and toys. he must have kids in school right now. that would also explain the breed of dog.
"I don't believe that intelligence can be accurately quantified."
"he's being modest," I glance over at Spencer. "Dr. Reid can read 20,000 words a minute-- he's definitely a genius."
Woodland stares at Spencer for a second as he tries to fathom the speed at which someone's mind would have to turn in order to process all that information. I still can't imagine it. Spencer's eyes avoid Woodland's shyly. instead, he watches me as I pet Sandy.
soon after, we ask him about Heather's personality and tendencies. her brother is more than willing to give us all the information we need. I'm surprised, however, by my partner's ease at wandering around Woodland's house, flipping through the magazines on top of the TV and reading the spines of books on shelves. he's quite conspicuous about it.
about halfway through my mental list of questions, Sandy keeps jumping up and wagging her til.
"I'm gonna take her to the backyard quick," Woodland tells us. "one second."
he ducks out of the room and I wait until I know he's out of earshot before sidling up beside Reid.
"there's an immediate relationship established between a buyer and a seller," he tells me, holding up a Datsun Z catalog. we know that she was in the market for one. "if I want to coax a young woman into my car..."
"offer her a test drive." I finish his sentence. of course, within ten minutes of sifting through this woman's house, Spencer has figured out the ruse used to lure her. Woodland returns a moment later with a smile, but we tell him that we've gotten the information we need before leaving.
in the car, Spencer theorizes about the unsub's mental condition as I try to navigate traffic in the storm. thunder rumbles overhead, occasionally sending a vibration through the car. my knuckles tighten around the wheel a bit. I also hate driving in the rain. his rambles fills the silence, however, and somewhat soothe my nerves.
"he doesn't have the MO of a paranoid psychotic. dumping the bodies out in the open, with a weapon nearby... that doesn't align."
"he covers their eyes with duct tape multiple times over, though. he knows he's going to kill them, but he doesn't want them to see his face?" my fingertips drum over the wheel nervously.
"what's wrong?" Spencer asks suddenly, glancing at my hands and then at my face. I still my movements at the change in subject.
"huh? nothing. I just don't like driving in the rain, either."
"oh. I'm sorry." he straightens a bit in his seat. the apology surprises me a little, but he seems genuinely sympathetic. I guess I really don't know him that well.
"it's cool."
we fall into an awkward silence and I bite my lip. we should get back to talking about the case. heaven knows Spencer has more facts to spew, more theories to share about this unsub. anything is better than the gap in conversation. I open my mouth to say more about what we learned at the house, except Spencer speaks first.
"so... how are you liking working here?" he asks awkwardly. it takes a second for the question to register with me. he sounds uncomfortable whenever we're alone and that makes me uncomfortable in turn. where everyone else was quick to include me in their jokes and discussions, Reid always sounds like talking to me exhausts him. it's obvious that he's socially awkward. there's no judgement from me; I'm just surprised that he's pushing to talk about non work-related subjects.
"I like it," not really an accurate summation. I don't think a heart-to-heart is exactly the right move when talking to him. "a little stressful, though."
"you worked in sex crimes before, right?" he looks out the window. there isn't much to see except for the rain-blurred skyline. I nod.
"yep."
"that sounds... hard." he shifts in his seat as he tries to come up with more points of conversation. it's kind of endearing, honestly. I throw him a bone.
"so is profiling."
"why'd you switch?" his eyes flit over to mine as he quickly adds, "if you don't mind me asking."
I take a second to come up with an answer. of course, there's the classic response: I've always wanted to help people— which isn't wrong— it's also not the whole answer. all through college and the Academy, I had my head focused on one thing. I could interview killers and get inside their heads, but there's something entirely different that you don't get from pure research. and one person inspired that in me before I had finished high school.
"don't tell him I said this, but I really wanted to work with Rossi." I say in a hushed tone. there's a slight smile on my lips because I haven't told anyone on the team in fear of being teased. I don't think Spencer is likely to gossip with Rossi about me, though.
"really?" now he sounds surprised.
"I've read all his books and I've been to a couple lectures. he doesn't remember me, evidently." the thought is more funny than embarrassing. he spoke at my college a few years back and I recall being on the edge of my seat, trying to come up with the courage to ask the questions that filled my head. I was too shy.
"does he know you're a fan?" Spencer loosens up a bit.
"nope," we pull off the freeway as we near the field office. I stop at a red light and look over. "I didn't want to embarrass myself with the whole 'your work changed my life' spiel."
at this, Spencer lets out a short, nervous giggle. it's a nice sound, that laugh. it makes me smile when he seems to relax in his seat.
"that's exactly what I did." he says. I frown.
"you told him his books changed your life?" I blush as I realize I just inadvertently made fun of him.
"I, um... well, I got excited to talk about his research." he averts his gaze again and his cheeks turn a slight pink. there's a dimple in his cheek, I notice, that keeps tugging upward. this is my first time having a non-forced moment with Spencer alone; a wave of satisfaction washes over me as I realize the potential for another friend here.
"trust me, I get it." I laugh. we pull into the parking ramp for the field office and I find a spot by the door. Spencer hoists that bag into his lap and runs his hand through his hair. when I pull the key out of the ignition, he waits for me to get out of the car before we start walking toward the door.
it's small, but I appreciate that he doesn't run off without me. we don't talk as we walk, our footsteps echoing along the cement walls.
oh my god first chapter holy fuck! it's short, but I don't wanna overwhelm. I'm so excited for this book!

The flight back to the compound did nothing for your upset stomach. Missions never upset your stomach before but this one seemed to get you in all the right spots. And it wasn’t even that bad of a mission, you’ve had worse missions before that have left you almost dead. The jet hit a small air pocket and the small drop had you holding tightly to your chair and hoping nothing came up and out of your mouth.
“You doing good?” Steve asked you. You looked up at him, his blue eyes looked down on you and you could see some concern in them. “You don’t look so good.”
“She trying to hold it all in,” Wanda’s voice came from the other side of the jet. “Horrible timing too. She’s got a date tonight with what’s his name from IT?”
“Mark,” you manage to choke out closing your eye and resting your head back on the headrest behind you.
“You have a date?” Steve sounded surprised. “You didn’t tell me that. You usually tell me just about anything.” Steve was right. You do tell him just about everything. But when Mark asked to take you to dinner the other night, you just couldn’t get up the courage to tell Steve.
“I guess it slipped my mind,” you opened an eye to peek at him. Steve’s forehead was furrowed some and it looked like he didn’t look thrilled about your date. “I also don’t need to tell you every single thing that happens to me.”
“I know that,” Steve’s voice was different. “Make sure your belt is tightened. We should be landing soon.”
When you got back to the compound, Steve made you go get check out for every head injury possible. You tried to fight it but Steve used the “That’s an order or you’re benched” card. So while you were being looked at, you couldn't help stare at the clock as it ticked on by.
Second after second.
Minute after minute.
Hour after hour.
Three hours later, you got the all clear and even the onsite doctor said that it was just an upset stomach. You rushed to your room and quickly showered. You decided to skip on shaving your legs and focused on washing your long thick hair.
When you were done, you quickly brushed your teeth and threw on clothes. Simple jeans and a nice looking blouse. You towel dried your hair and worked painfully to get the knots out. After that, you pulled out black ankle books and threw those on and didn’t even bother with a decent make up look. There wouldn’t be any time for that.
You opened your door and saw Steve standing right there about ready to knock. “Hey,” you moved passed him and he caught your arm. “What?” You pulled your arm back.
“Where do you think you’re going?” He asked slowly looking you over.
“On my date,” you said slowly. “Remember? Mark set up a reservation for six and it’s almost six.”
“I don’t think you should go,” Steve crossed his arms. “Not until you’ve been in the clear for twenty-four hours.”
What has gotten into him? You wondered. Steve never acted like this. “Are you okay?” You shifted on your feed. “You’re not really yourself.”
Steve dropped his arms and put them in his pockets. “I’m fine, unlike you. I know the doctor cleared you, but he could have missed something and I want you to be here, just in case.” You looked at his posture. It was straighter than usual. The way he looked at you with those blue eyes. They didn’t just look at you, they dug hooks into your soul.
You walked up to him and touch his arm. “Steve,” you said. “I’m a big girl. So if anything happens to me, you will be the first one to call. I promise.”
Steve starred into your Y/E/C for a couple of minutes before nodding his head. “Okay, you call me for anything.” You smiled and before you turned around you caught a hint of sadness creep into his eyes. You’d have to ask him about it later and pushed it aside.
TWO HOURS LATER
You stormed out of the restaurant as you pulled out your phone. That date was a mega disaster while running with a bright red flag. You scrolled to Steve’s number as you walked a good two blocks away from the restaurant just to make sure that Mark didn’t follow.
“Y/N,” Steve answered on the first ring. “Everything okay?”
You walked around the corner and spotted a bench. “I need you to come get me,” I sat on the bench.
“What happened?” you heard the change in Steve’s voice. “Are you okay?”
“I’ll tell you when you come get me, but yes, I’m fine-ish. I’m going to send you my location cause I have no idea where the hell I am right now.” You got off the phone and quickly sent your location to Steve.
You sat there on the bench for about twenty minutes. You watched the people walk by and the busyness of life around you. You didn’t want to think about the date that was disaster and no matter how many times Mark tried to text or call, it brought it all back. Even you blocked his number he somehow managed to try again with another number.
Just as you were texting Steve to ask how much longer he was, a slick black car pulled up next to you. The window rolled down and there sat Steve. “Thank God,” you whispered and got up and into the car.
“So, do you want to tell me?” Steve asked glancing at you as he merged back into traffic.
You took a deep breath. “There were a ton of red flags. He was basically one of those alpha male types with small dick energy. Started with a comment about my outfit and the fact I didn’t make time do to make up for him.” You used air quotes around that last part.
“What did he say?” Steve’s voice sounded hard. Probably a good idea that you walked a few blocks away from the restaurant. Mark may be been a dick to you, but you didn’t want Steve to get arrested.
“He saw what I was wearing he said and I quote ‘I made reservations at a restaurant and you chose to where that? it’s not even nice and what, no make up for me. just a really bland look for you.” You saw Steve’s hands tighten on the wheel. His knuckles turned white instantly.
“I think you look beautiful, Y/N,” Steve said keeping his eyes locked on the road. His hands remained tight on the wheel. “Anything else?” The hardness in Steve voice got even harder.
“Well, he did flip out when they said there would be a small wait due to how busy it was tonight,” you continued. “Then as we waited we pointed out all the nicely dressed women who dressed up for their dates or husbands and such. Then when we were finally seated we ordered drinks and he wouldn’t let me order anything alcoholic. So I had a soda and when I ordered the steak he said I needed to be eating a salad. That’s when I snapped and,” You looked down at your hands and let your voice trail off.
“And what?” Steve asked but you didn’t answer right away. “Don’t make me pull this car over to get it out of you.” Steve’s quick glance told you that he would be out for blood.
“He grabbed my wrist so I couldn’t leave,” You finally said. “I just about took the knife on the table stabbed his arm. But with one little threat about not knowing me and how I can make his death look like a suicide he got the point and I stormed out.”
Steve was quite for a few minutes. You wondered what was going through his mind. You anger flash in his eyes and you saw the deep breathes he was taking too. He was trying to calm himself down. “I’m sorry you had a crappy date,” he finally said. He reached a hand and placed it on your knee. You weren’t going to lie to yourself, his hand on your knee, it was comforting and you liked it there.
When the two of you guys got back to the compound, Steve’s hand was still resting on your knee. You made your way to the empty dinning area and grabbed the bottle of tequila and a glass. You poured yourself some. You took a sip when you heard Steve’s familiar footsteps.
“You know, I think I’m going to be done dating or trying to,” You said turning to face him. “It’s hard with a job like ours. I could end up dead with a bullet in my head or a blade in my heart.”
Steve walked up to you and poured himself a glass to and the two of you just leaned on the counter staring into space for a minute before Steve spoke. “I hope you don’t end up with a bullet in your head.”
You smiled and looked at Steve. “You’re supposed to say that cause you’re technically my boss.”
Steve chuckled a little, “What do you look for in a guy?” He asked.
You stood there and just stared at your drink. You knew exactly what you looked for in someone but you always went for the opposite. You knew that if you found that one person who checked off all the boxes and gave you that epic kind of love, it would scare you.
“You can tell me, I’m your best friend,” Steve nudged you and you realized you took too long to answer.
You turned around and poured yourself another glass. “This answer will require a little more juice.” You brought the glass to your lips and took a big gulp letting the tequila burn your throat on the way down. “I look for someone who listens. Someone who I can tell anything and everything too.” You started to list off everything that ran through your head about the perfect significant other. “Someone who is there for me. Someone who looks after my well being. Someone who can make me laugh uncontrollably. Someone who will be my shoulder to cry on.” Stopped to take a breath. “Saying it all out loud sounds like a damn fairy tale. Fuck, finding love can be a real bitch.”
Steve set his drink down and turned to you. He slowly reached out and brush some hair behind your ear. “You know,” he said slowly. “I can fit just about all of those boxes. I don’t know about the uncontrollable laughter though.”
You laughed and then stopped when your realized that the all of what you just said were all the best qualities of Steve Rogers. Steve, the man that had to sit with you on nights like these complaining about men and the dating game, he had been all of those qualities. Everything about Steve’s attitude today made sense now.
You set your drink down and took a step towards Steve. You reached both hands up to touch his face. The stubble on his face tickled your hand but you didn’t care. Steve's hand that lingered on your shoulder, he trailed it up to the base of your head and pulled you closer to him while your pulled him lower towards you.
When your lips finally touched, it was as if your brain was sending electrical shockwaves throughout your body. You felt Steve’s free hand wrap around your waist and pull you tighter to him. He deepened the kiss by opening his mouth just slightly and letting his tongue softly run over your bottom lip. That alone made you moan and wrap your arms around his neck tightly as you let him in.
You pulled back for a breath of air. “We should probably take this to a room,” you said in between breaths. You noted the small smile on Steve’s face as he effortlessly picked you up bridal style.
He carried you all the way to his room. The moment the bedroom door was closed, Steve had you on your feet and back pressed up on the wall. His lips teased yours by brushing so lightly over them. “So after two years, the truth finally comes out.”
Morning After
You felt the warm sun on your face as you rolled over in bed. Thoughts of the night before filled your head and made you smile. You felt the bed shift and soon Steve’s arm was around you pulling you into his chest.
The feeling of his chest against your back made you think about how well your bodies moved with each other last night. You felt his brush back your hair from your neck and give a gentle kiss on your neck. It sent shivers down your back as you remembered how Steve kissed every inch of your body.
You turned to face him. He greeted you with a soft kiss made you sigh. “Morning,” he said pulling back and letting his hand rub down your back. His hand stopped at your hip.
“Morning,” You said back and snuggled your head into his chest. Steve rested his chin on top of your head. Being held like that, felt perfect and right. This wasn’t a man who wanted to fuck you just to fuck you and leave. This was a man who wanted to make love to you because he wanted to and because he loved you. This was a man who took his time with you, who wanted to make you feel just as wanted as he wanted.
“No regrets?” Steve asked. You could hear the smile in his tone.
“None at all,” you kissed his chest.
There was a knock on the door and it opened. Only one person in this entire compound did that. Steve took the blanket and covered up the what skin of yours was showing. The two of you looked up and saw Tony standing in the door way staring at the two of you.
“What’s up, Tony?” Steve asked, his tone as annoyed.
Tony took a few steps into the room and gestured to the both of you. “One, so glad this finally happened. Everyone knows by the way, mister who’s your captain.” You felt the rush of blood flood to your cheeks as you slowly hid under the covers. “Two, I took care of that favor you asked about. The one about the kid in IT. He won’t be messing with anyone anymore.”
“As you fired him right?’ Steve asked.
“Uh, yeah, that’s what I did,” you heard Tony’s retreat to the door. “I hope protection was used cause I don’t need mini Rogers running around my compound.” The door closed and you heard Tony shout down the hall. “Rhodey, you owe me twenty bucks.”
Steve removed the blanket from your face and dipped down and kissed you deeply. “We’re going to need to remember to lock doors.” You pushed Steve back and straddled him. “We don’t need anyone else walking in.”

Chapter 52: Gossip and Glass
You woke up to the pressure behind your ear and felt a soft pillow of skin move across your cheek and to your lips. “I need to go Kitten, but I promise to let you know if I need you to do anything.” Another kiss to your lips before he disappeared. You were alone for a few minutes before you heard the ring of the doorbell. You groaned but got up to answer it.
Passing by all the broken glass and furniture, you wondered who you would have to talk to get it all cleaned up and fixed. Adlez and Olivia-Rose were the first to enter after you opened the door with a remote that you found on the ground. You yawned as you rested against what was the remains of one of your couches.
Adlez froze as she took in the sight of you, “I thought we fixed you last night. What happened?”
As you got up to lead them into your dressing room you saw the lieutenant’s face at the sight of everything. You felt bad for him, knowing he was the one who would have to place all of the purchase orders and other things to make the living space inhabitable once more.
You entered your dressing room and sat down at your vanity allowing Olivia-Rose to work on your hair. “You did fix me, then I became a mess. And we worked it out for the most part.”
“You didn’t have sex with him did you,” asked Adlez pulling out your outfit for the day.
“No,” you said reassuring her.
“Good,” she said firmly. “This morning we will draw you a bath, I believe you need it after last night.” She then left the dressing room.
“But everything worked out, right,” asked Olivia-Rose.
You smiled at her through the reflection in your vanity mirror. “Yes, for the most part, it did. I think we will be fine for now.” This caused her to smile.
Adlez came back into the room and announced that your bath was ready. You and Olivia-Rose followed her into the bathroom. Both just waiting for you to get in. Even though you had been naked in front of them before when they changed you, this was a bit different.
“There is no need to be embarrassed m’lady. We have already seen you naked. And proudly more times than the Supreme Leader, much to his frustration,” claimed Adlez.
This caused a laugh from you, and it broke the uneasiness. You undressed and climbed into the soothing tub. Adlez had filled the water with various fragrant oils.
“Speaking of that, there is something I have to tell you.” Now you had both women’s utmost attention.
“Go on,” said Adlez as she lathered up a fluffy sponge and started working on your legs. Olivia-Rose was tending to your hair.
“After we made up,” you started.
“And made out,” butted in Olivia-Rose which caused a devilish smirk from Adlez.
“He did his usual of taking a shower to relieve himself of his urges. This time he purposefully left the bathroom door open. Allowing me to hear everything,” heat rising to your face at the memory.
“Mmm I bet the sounds were delicious,” said Adlez, the smirk deepening. You heard a hum of agreement from Olivia-Rose.
“But that isn’t the best part. He came out of the bathroom in only his towel,” if it wasn’t for the hot bath making you already red, you would have flushed with color.
“And that isn’t normal,” asked Adlez rather sarcastically. You could hear her in your mind saying that was a typical man behavior.
“No, it isn’t. But he then changed in our room in front of me, giving me a full show.” That part of the memory was playing on a full loop.
Adlez’s eyes came up to meet yours, her eyes full of curiosity. “How full was it?”
You smirked and responded, “Very full, and of course, being the proper lady I am I averted my gaze but the show wasn’t over. He put on his pants, but he remained commando.”
“Mmm he was a commander,” you heard Adlez comment.
“And then he fully adjusted himself for show.”
“And a show it was,” commented Olivia-Rose.
You turned around to meet her eye, rather shocked but pleased she was opening up, even if it was talking about this.
“He then had the gall to walk back to the bed and asked if I liked it.” A shiver ran down your spine at the memory of him being so close like that.
“What did you respond,” asked Adlez, you could tell she was on the edge of her seat.
“That I had no idea what he was talking about.” You were sure she would be proud of your response. Holding your ground.
“Good,” said Adlez, turning back to lather up your arm.
“But then he said ‘Well, I guess next time I will have to just do what I was going to do, and crawl into bed naked. After all, do hands have to stay above clothing if there is none?’ Can you believe that?”
“He’s got some nerve, but we’ll do better. Remind me of this when you change for bed. I have got just the trick,” said Adlez now lathering up the rest of your torso.
It felt odd having them wash you, but in a way, it was rather relaxing. Almost massaging away the pain from yesterday. They finished up cleaning you, shaving you, and prompted you to get out. Then they had you sit back down on the edge of the tub while they oiled and lotioned you up. Once they were finished they dressed you and escorted you back to the dressing room to finish your hair and makeup for the morning.
You all walked into the dining room to order breakfast and coffee. Once again speaking about nothing important in particular. You could see the lieutenant was stressed so you ordered him a cup of tea along with his usual cup of coffee. Before you could finish your breakfast your phone pinged with a message from Kylo, ‘The knights will be guarding you from outside the chambers from now on unless you are alone, then they will be inside with you.’
“Well, so far he is keeping his promise,” you said.
“Praise the Supreme Leader, he can learn,” said Adlez. You looked at her for a moment, questioning her phrases but dropped it as one of her quirks.
The lieutenant seemed a bit thrilled at this piece of information so you decided to ask him about it. “Is this good news lieutenant?”
He nodded rather quickly, “Yes, m’lady. The Knights of Ren are rather unnerving.” You could see him swallow back fear. “And if the Supreme Leader is messaging you things it means he won’t be angry with me if your reaction isn’t good, like when I pass along information.”
“So you're saying you would get in trouble,” you looked at the short brunette man with confusion.
“Yes Ma’am,” you could see that he was rather uncomfortable with the question like he just got in trouble all over again.
“When was this? I’ve never seen him confront you in front of me.” You racked your brain at all of the possibilities. Not finding any time that Kylo confronted the lieutenant in your presence.
“Well ma’am you may not be required to attend his morning training and debriefing sessions, but I am.” This came as a shock to you. The poor lieutenant had to get up at an awful time just to be berated without you present.
“And this is when he criticizes you for something that is in no way your fault,” you were mad now. He has done nothing wrong, but Kylo doesn’t see it that way, like the man child he is.
“Yes, ma’am.” He still had a look of worry on his face.
“Well, that will have to change. You are my assistant and I should be informed of any ‘punishment’ you should receive, and if you deserve it. And you most certainly have not,” you were learning from Adlez rather quickly that you had a backbone and you were going to use it.
“Yes, ma’am,” said the lieutenant as he started to make notes.
“M’lady we will add it to the list of things the Supreme Leader needs to work on,” said Adlez who nodded to the lieutenant.
“Oh, he royally screwed up by assigning you to me.” with that both of you shared a laugh.
“M’lady there isn’t anything on the agenda this morning. And the technicians should be here soon to fix and clean up the mess. You will have a learning lunch with the general to go over proper meal etiquette and your normal lesson is to follow. And dinner with the Supreme Leader as usual,” said the lieutenant.
“What shall we do with the morning then,” you asked.
“I have an idea,” said Adlez with a sly grin. “But you will have to trust me.”
You were scared by what that meant, but also rather excited. You followed her and Olivia-Rose out of your chambers where you were followed by the lieutenant, Trudgen and Kuruk. You were winding the endlessly large halls of the Supremacy to who knows where, but you were excited.

What Makes Me Mad
(i was too lazy to find the original but ... )
so im angry. why? you ask. This. ^ This Right Here Is Why.
So I’m graduating this year and even tho it’s Covid and regulations and all I got a grad jumpsuit for celebration/pictures/whatnot and what-have-you. And it’s a halter top-bareback kinda thing (AND HAS FREAKING POCKETS TOO!!) and basically my armpits are there for the world to see if my arms are not pressed against my sides.
I don’t shave my armpits. I don’t shave my legs. And in our wonderful western society! (sarcasm) people think women should be hairless. I am not. And with my dark coarse hair my body hair is visible.
Now today, I was trying on my jumpsuit and feeling self conscious bc yes I have body hair, I had this faNtAsTiC conversation with my mom.
A Paraphrased and Not Verbatim Summary of the Conversation I Had With My Mom About My Body Hair (Because My Memory Is Very Faulty)
Mom : You need to shave your armpits
Me : Why
Mom : Because you can see your armpit hair
Me : My brother doesn’t shave, Dad doesn’t shave
Mom : They are men, they don’t need to shave, it’s normal. You are a woman
Me : That’s sexist
yep. so im angry. bc ,,, yes i am a woman and yes i have body hair and i am proud of it. even tho i often feel self conscious bc of it.
LET PEOPLE EXIST WITHOUT SHAMING THEM FOR THEIR SELF EXPRESSION AND PRESENTATION!!
long personal story:
yes i have shaved. and i felt extremely self conscious at the beginning of grade 9 when i wore shorts in gym class and you could see my hairy legs. so i shaved. my legs and then armpits. but my razor dulled and then it was useless and i didn’t have another and i didn’t feel comfortable asking my mom to buy me one. so i had to grow out my hair. and ya know what gave me a lil bit of confidence? reading a tumblr post about werewolves having body hair. and so i wore that. i told myself i was a werewolf with body hair and no one could make me feel bad about it. and yes my (undiagnosed) anxiety probably worked really hard against me to make me think that people were talking about me behind my back and making fun of my body hair and whatnot but people can be horrible. i still shaved my armpits when i could, and when i got a razor i did, but by then id gotten used to having body hair and was gaining confidence and spite. EXCEPT i figure skated on a synchro team. and it was a requirement that the women on the team shave their armpit hair. and that hurt. that just felt like a stab in the chest bc,,, i had to. i was made to. and that sucked. (but then Covid came and everything was cancelled and i don’t shave) but i also did Track & Field. and in the summer it was outside. outside is warm so i wore tank tops. and i wasn’t shaving (regularly) so i had armpit hair. and my mom was like You Have To Shave and i was like why and she was like Because Body Hair On Women Is Gross.
u know the only person who’s ever really (repeatedly) commented on my body hair?? my mom. i am very bitter about this. all i want to do is shout in her face WELL IF YOURE NOT CONFIDENT ABOUT YOUR BODY THATS YOUR PROBLEM!! but i don’t. bc im non confrontational and have anxiety. and i need this to be a safe space bc i live with my parents and brother. ugh.
i was just really pissed abt this for so long and needed to rant. (bc she KEEPS MENTIONING IT! FEMININITY AS THE BEHAVIOUR OF SUBORDINATION
The beauty practices that women engage in, and which men find so exciting, are those of political subordinates. The sadomasochistic romance of male dominance, where sex is constructed from male dominance and female subordination, requires that someone should play the girl. The feminist theorist of sexuality and sexual violence, Catharine MacKinnon, argues that the ``genders'' of male dominance, masculinity and femininity need to be constantly recreated to service the sexuality of male dominance; that is, eroticized power difference. This understanding is helpful in explaining the existence and persistence of femininity. The sexuality of male dominance requires ``fems'' and women are trained and pressured into femininity to facilitate men's sexual excitement.
Feminist theorists have shown that what is understood as ``feminine'' behaviour is not simply socially constructed, but politically constructed, as the behaviour of a subordinate social group. Nancy Henley's work on body politics is a classic example of this approach. She shows clearly that the ways in which human beings are trained and expected to use their bodies derive from their place in a power hierarchy…
Not only do employers have larger offices but men will have more space in their homes and the world which is theirs alone. They take up more space with their bodies. Thus men may stretch out on a bus seat or on the sofa. Women are expected to keep their legs and arms tucked into their bodies and fit into the space that is left over. Similarly interviewees may not sprawl when in the subordinate position of applying for a job, but the interviewers may do so. Men, Henley shows, approach women more closely than they would approach other men because women are permitted less personal space around their bodies.
Touch is another area in which the powerful are privileged. The powerful may make physical contact while the subordinates may not. Thus employers may touch office juniors but the reverse behaviour would be presumptuous. Men may, and do, touch women but if women touch men it can be interpreted as a sexual come-on and is a dangerous behaviour. Eye contact is also a way of expressing power. Men may stare at women and women are not supposed to stare in return but to decorously cast down their eyes. But men may not stare at other men without inviting an aggressive, ``who are you staring at'' response. These behaviours are learnt both through direct instruction, such as mothers telling their daughters to keep their knees together, and through social interaction. But it is likely that by adulthood they are seen by those who practise them as ``natural''. The learning process is forgotten. The behaviours of space, touch and eye contact that are required of subordinates are then understood as the ``natural'' behaviours of femininity. It is on the base formed by these behaviours that beauty practices are grafted, and that high heels can seem natural on women but ridiculous on men.
The feminist psychologist Dee Graham has contributed significantly to our understanding of femininity as the behaviour of subordinates with her concept of ``societal Stockholm syndrome''. In Loving to Survive she makes an analogy between femininity and the behaviour of hostages in situations of captivity and threat that has been named Stockholm syndrome. She explains that the idea of Stockholm syndrome comes from a hostage situation in Stockholm in which it became clear that hostages, instead of reacting with rebellion to their oppressors, were likely to bond with them. This bonding, in which hostages can come to identify the interests of their kidnappers as their own, comes from the very real threat to their survival that the kidnappers pose. Graham extends this concept to cover the behaviour of women, femininity, that is a reaction to living in a society of male violence in which they are in danger. Femininity represents societal Stockholm syndrome, ``If one (inescapable) group threatens another group with violence but also ± as a group ± shows the victimized group some kindness, an attachment between the groups will develop. This is what we refer to as Societal (or Cultural) Stockholm Syndrome''.
Graham states unequivocally that, ``masculinity and femininity are code words for male domination and female subordination''. She says that women, like hostages, are afraid, and ``use any available information to alter our behavior in ways that make interactions with men go smoothly''. One of the things they do is change their bodies in order to win men over. She lists the harmful beauty practices that are considered in this book, such as makeup, cosmetic surgery, shaving and waxing body hair, high-heeled shoes and restrictive clothes, as examples.
She says that these practices reflect:
(1) the extent to which women seek to make ourselves acceptable to men,
(2) the extent to which women seek to connect to men, and thus
(3) the extent to which women feel the need for men's affection and approval and
(4) the extent to which women feel unworthy of men's affection and approval just as we are (unchanged).
Graham also argues that, ``femininity is a blueprint for how to get along with one's enemy by trying to win over the enemy''. The term ``femininity'', ``refers to personality traits associated with subordinates and to personality traits of individuals who have taken on behaviors pleasing to dominants'' and ``those behaviors which male culture classifies as `feminine' are behaviors that one would expect to characterize any oppressed group''. These behaviours of the less powerful are necessarily indirect attempts to influence the powerful, ``such as use of intelligence, canniness, intuition, interpersonal skill, charm, sexuality, deception, and avoidance''; that is, those behaviours, except per- haps for intelligence, likely to be identified as essentially feminine.
Graham offers an explanation for why many women believe that their ``femininity'' is biological and inherent and why, ``we believe that we would choose to wear makeup, curl our hair, and wear high heels even if men didn't find women who dressed this way more attractive''. Women believe this, she says, because ``to believe differently'' would require the acknowledgement that our behaviour is controlled by ``external variables''; that is, men's use of force and its threat. Recognizing this would mean that women would have to ``acknowledge our terror''). She says that ``It is scary for women to contemplate no longer being feminine'' and concludes that examining what it is that is scary about giving up femininity may lead to the decision to give it up altogether.
Feminist social constructionists such as Henley and Graham understand the task of feminism to be the destruction and elimination of what have been called ``sex roles'' or ``sexual difference'' and are now more usually called ``gender''.

Shaving
Shaving my chest and stomach may have been a mistake. It felt sooo good to get rid of all that hair and it definitely made me feel good to get another glimpse of a more feminine body, but...well the image says it all. My wife has ingrown hair serum that does seem to help. She also suggesting waxing until I decide what to do long term. I am not sure what to do long term. I have an appointment tomorrow for laser on my back which I can’t reach and is pretty bad too, but it’s expensive and whether it’s really permanent is up in the air. I also contacted an electrolysis place, but that’s even more expensive so near term that’s face only as that’s the most important one. Legs are on their damn own for the time being. Probably just shave as needed, maybe wax down the road. This is a cis-woman problem.
The IPL treatment is hard to tell if it’s doing anything. It’s not hard to do and I already have the device so I will keep going. I burned my flank this morning. Got to keep the skin flat under the light if it gets closer to the glass you are going to get burned. I am hitting my face, but there’s enough gray there that electro will be required either way. Chest and stomach seem more uniformly dark, so maybe it will help. Even a reduction of the amount would be welcome. Hands will need something too, at least my knuckles (I just sound like the prettiest belle at the ball, don’t I)? Arms meh, that may stay. Again, cis-women problems. I will just look as ethnic as I am. My grandmother (who I will definitely resemble) had dark hair and lots of it, so I come by it naturally).
We have a bunch of trips coming up. Our son’s graduation at the end of the month, two mini-vacation trips out of town now that we’re vaccinated and an annual vacation in July. Probably no hormones until after July even if I can get them sooner.
I’ve not told our son. I doubt it will bother him. He has a friend who is a trans woman, sweet kid (well young woman now, like 22), so he will have some knowledge. Not going to land this on him until he is done with school. There’s no need to know and nothing is going to change immediately.
Weight was down to 196 this morning. I am not snacking, no binging in front of the fridge because I’m depressed. I started more exercises. My knee is feeling a little better and the PT added some exercises there so I added on to those. My plan (for the knees) is to take whatever exercises she gives me and just do them forever as part of my daily routine. My track record with leg exercises tells me not to improvise and not to start getting cocky with weight.
When the new boots come, my wife is going to help me with my walk. We’re going to the thrift store this weekend. Originally I thought skirts, but I am thinking unless something really catches my eye, it will be more conservative?, radical? not sure how to frame that. Women’s jackets, blouses and pants, so less traditional women’s clothes and more modern women’s cloths. I really want nice pajamas too, something silky. That feels like a huge safe opportunity to feel pretty every night before I can reasonably present in public. Working from home, I can wear what I want, so I can test pilot working woman wear if I want to all day. That’s a plus.
My Pueraria Mirifica order has been sent to another state. Presumably because there’s a city with the same name there that’s better known. The little frustrations don’t go away, they just don’t become big frustrations.
Can the happiness last? I feel like I am getting set up for some huge cosmic gotcha. Like I am all ready to start hormones and they go, “Oops, you’ve got cancer”. When you’ve wasted a huge part of your life ignoring something that will make you happy, there’s some regret and worry about the future and how much of it you will enjoy.

Types of electric shavers - How To Guide 2020
There are two types of electric razors: aluminum razors and rotary razors. Both are used for different purposes and for a better experience.
Aluminum razor
With 12 oscillating blades, the aluminum blades have rectangular and straight heads. Blades released. This film protects the skin from direct contact with sharp blades. The hair is recorded near this source through this network because it enables a safe, if shaved, shave. The target area should be shaved in horizontal and vertical movements with an aluminum blade.
electric razor
Have a rotary electric shaver. Each head has a rotating circular knife that cuts and grasps the hair that is captured by this razor's outer shield. In the case of a circular motion, a rotating shaver should be used compared to an electric shaver.
How to choose the best electric shaver for women?
Razor blade or rotary razor?
Razors are best for everyday shavers because they are gentle on the skin and do not cause irritation. They are also ideal for beautiful hair and skin. The razor is ideal for hair that grows on surfaces such as legs and arms and in one direction.
Razors are best for people with thick hair and skin. They look good on body shapes and recognize and fold effectively like armpits. If you don't like shaving to make it more suitable for you, rotating razors cut hair better. They are also effective when shaving.
versatility
Some razors are designed for the legs and arms, while others can be used on different parts of the body such as sensitive areas or on the face. It is better to check in which areas of the body the product can be used if you have to do much more than shave your legs.
You have to buy unique razors that can be expensive, and in the end you have multiple razors that take up all the space in your closet.
It is much better to spend a little more and buy a good one for $ 50-80.
On the other hand, you should use elite wax strips for your face instead of a razor to get finer hair growth and better results. Click here for more information on facial wax strips.
Wet or dry?
Dry shavers are usually the cheapest alternative. You can use this razor as soon as your skin dries. Trying to use them while showering or even in the bathroom is dangerous.
The problem with these shavers is that you cannot simply run them under water to clean them. If you want to wash your hair at 14, you need to remove it. The only alternative is to clean the shaver.
Wireless or wired?
Electric shavers for women are a popular choice for those who like to travel. If you don't know if you have a place to shave an outlet, you may have a fantastic option: a cordless shaver.
However, the main problem with using a razor is that you will notice a power failure as soon as the load is exhausted. These razors are generally stronger than razors. If you need a reliable shaving method, you should choose a cordless razor that offers consistent performance.
design
Electric shavers for women should have a feminine charm. they can fit in a female hand; They are slightly smaller and lighter than men's razors. They outlined their bodies with rubberized handles that they can use to hold the body of their razor. The mind is usually a little twisted so you can access a possible shave. This way, you can easily shave in any area of your body.
Noise level
Some razors may be simpler than others because they use moderate vibrations to remove hair from the skin, but all electric razors make a noise. Razors are often a bit quieter than they are because they have a little more energy and vibration that are faster.
Investments
When buying an electric shaver, you can buy a shaver body with a nozzle. Or you can choose a razor with nozzles to personalize it longer. Most shavers contain a cleaning brush and a storage box.
They help you keep your shaver clean when you are not using it. Other models come with shaving buckets so you can cut hair faster than with a razor.
Use your electric shaver optimally
First of all, you need to have the perfect electric razor in your hands. As you may have noticed, there is a wide range of options and variety on the market. Do your research, take a look at our main list and choose.
Then always read the documentation. All razors work differently. Some may require batteries, additional wireless models may have different run times. Until you use it, get to know it.
Once you are familiar with how your appliance works, you are ready to start shaving. We recommend using your shaver in the shower if it is waterproof. In the shower, your hair becomes clean and uncluttered so you can discover what you are doing. In addition, the humidity facilitates the cutting of the blades. Exfoliating the skin ahead. This way, you don't shave through a layer of dead skin cells instead of your hair.
Some recommend using a shaving gel or cream with an electric razor, although not all are necessary. Therefore, check the appropriate steps and follow them. Place the shaver in the regions where you want to remove hair. Each region has to be treated differently. Whether you use it for hair, forearms, legs, or bikini area, gently apply the spirit and generally go vertically down and up to the blade until the hair dries.
Duplicate one part of the body at a time, until you are satisfied with the results. You are now hairless for up to two weeks. Congratulations! Remember that the most important thing is that you have the right machine for your own hair needs. Then, try not to use the razor for your region if this is not recommended for hair.
When buying a model, don't be surprised if the results are long or bad. As long as you get an excellent machine that meets your needs, it should be easy to use. You will understand Remember, if yours is wireless, it is best to make sure it is always ready when it is.
Shaving dry or wet, which is better?
Most of the best electric shavers for women on the market allow both dry and wet use. While shaving seems much more practical and faster, can it be a better option? Generally not. Shaving hardly hurts you, but waxing hurts a lot, especially for beginners. But it can't give you the smooth skin that an epilator gives you.
If you are not allergic to skin products, you can use depilatory creams that remove hair from the roots and do not even hurt. To see some of the best depilatory creams, click here.
Once you have shaved, you are actually tearing your skin apart. When shaving, moisten the skin in front of you. This also causes pores to penetrate your skin and soften, allowing you to glide over them. Dry shaving, on the other hand, is used on dry skin, which is very susceptible to cuts, burns, and razor blades.
The stinging sensation and the sensation that follows are often the result of shaving. This will be the outside of your skin. One way to eliminate these sensations is to hydrate the skin. But if you had carried out the hydration process beforehand, as when preparing for a wet shave, you would not have experienced these sensations.
Razor burns, indentations, and cuts are often the result of shaving. Products such as shaving creams and shaving gels lubricate the skin and minimize the risk of these consequences. To glide over your lubricated skin, prepare the base of your skin for the shaver. However, it does not have this advantage when shaving.
In summary, we always recommend a wet shave over a shave, especially if you have sensitive skin. Your skin is not easily irritated and you have hair, you can really go for time. However, remember that shaving treats thicker and better skin.
If you want to avoid nicks, cuts and razor burns, consider using permanent hair removal lotions. You are safer when it comes to damaging your skin.
Maintain your electric shaver optimally Overheating: Despite innovative technologies from leading manufacturers, overheating remains a problem for electric razors. Excessive use of waste from the skin and the device are just some of the reasons. Turn it off immediately. If you find out

All you need to know about Laser Hair removal
Hair removal is very much part of everyone's life and a very common method in use now is laser hair removal. People removed unwanted hairs from their face, legs, eyebrows, arms and other areas of their body for many reasons. Some of the reasons for indulging in hair removal may be due to religious obligations, while others are societal in nature or for health (hygiene).
Some people are into hair removal, such as Brazilian hair removal, for sexual reasons as well as a completely hairless body makes them feel clean, sexy and feminine. Medically, removing of say, pubic hair reduces the chances of germs, foul odor and of skin irritations. In some traditions and cultures, the removal of pubic hair is a compulsory process.
Hair Removal Products
But generally, excessive hair is a no-no where most women are concerned and that is why they invest in products such as laser hair removal machines, epilators, electric shavers, hair removal creams, tweezers, hair growth inhibitors, chest hair remover, and even electrolysis hair remover. It can be traumatic for people with a hairy problem.
A woman with thick facial hair can feel rather embarrassed when strangers start staring at her. Similarly, those with hairy limbs can be a target for ridicule and can affect their confidence. In fact, society exerts such pressures that unwanted hair psychologically affects eight out of 10 people in respect to one's sense of inferiority and lack of confidence.
Thus, they prefer to endure moments of torture, plucking, waxing, tweezing, threading, sugaring, or shaving to remove unwanted hairs. Then they have to put up with the risk of things like laser hair removal side effects. Their eyes are also trained on hair removal product reviews and on hair removal forums in order to get the latest products, information, and tips.
Female Pubic Hair Removal
Depilation of the nether regions is also a common practice, and a common method is known as Brazilian waxing or Brazilian laser hair removal. A few termed the procedure as vagina hair remover or simply female pubic hair removal. For those unfamiliar with the Brazilian wax, it is a hair removal treatment method to remove growth "down there".
Many people like celebrities, film stars, fashion models and swimsuit models have professional reasons for pubic hair removal. Some others may do it because their partner prefers a clean genital area which looks like a baby's bottom where no hair grows. Most ladies and girls won't dare head out to the beach in summer without going for a Brazilian waxing first, or at least a Brazilian laser hair removal of their bikini line. Do you know that some people also opt for anal hair removal?
Shaving - A Traditional Hair Removal Technique
While new technology, such as the use of Intense Pulse Light Hair Removal machines, has penetrated the hair removal business, treatments may not necessarily be within our financial means - hence many people still adhere to the many traditional hair removal methods available which are lower in cost. Their main target spots are the chin, upper lip, bikini line, arms, back, legs and armpits. Of the traditional methods of hair removal, shaving seems to be the most popular option but it does come with its share of dangers. Although it is perhaps the fastest method of hair removal, there is the danger of getting nicks, cuts, and ingrown hairs. Then there is also the need to shave every few days to maintain the smooth finish.
Permanent Hair Removal Products - Top Is Laser Hair Removal
For those where the money is not a concern, they would generally opt for a laser hair removal procedure as it works and the results last. Treatment using lasers are relatively painless and effective under the care of a specialist, and the result can be said to be permanent.
However, to achieve the state of permanent hair removal, several treatments are required because of the nature of how hairs grow. But laser hair removal prices can be quite prohibitive. The average price of laser hair removal depends on many factors, such as the location of the clinic, the physician's branding methodology, the area of the body concerned, size of the area involved, packages, etc.
That is why some people prefer to buy a laser hair removal machine. For those who opt to do it themselves, they should heed the warning on the product label and follow instructions to the T because they don't have the service of a doctor to supervise them.
Removal of Hair for Men
How about men, do they shave their body like women do or are they confined to shaved heads (bald) and beards? The answer is yes, many of them are into hair removal also.
Most sportsmen, especially bodybuilders, do shave using traditional methods while some opt for more exotic body builder’s hair removal products. These guys are not shy of removing unwanted hairs from their bodies, but mostly for professional reasons. How about the groin area? That too, but many of them use the shaving method to remove pubic hair. However, some clinics do provide male Brazilian or penis hair removal services as well, which shows that there is a demand for it.

Any peterick historical au would be great
Becuase I’m a history geek and love a good obscure au, I used a random number generator to pick a year between 1 AD and 1990 AD to set the scene for this and we got 333 AD. Hope Pete and Patrick enjoy the Roman Empire. (Also this was a really fun way to come up with a plot if you guys like this idea feel free to tell me to do it again).
Bit of context: same-sex relationships were accepted at this time and most people had relationships with both men and women. Pre-marital sex was also fine as long as it wasn’t with a married woman. Also, relationships progressed a lot faster at this point, this was still in the era of dating for a week before being engaged, if that, so yes, I know the timeline seems strange for a modern reader. Just go with it.
Pete looked up to the sound of hoofbeats. The horizon was just barely tinted blue with the first signs that the sun would be rising soon. It was rare that the small town got any visitors so the young poet was taken aback to see a well-dressed man on horseback stop by where he sat at the city fountain.
“Can I help you, sir?” He stood, realizing that this man, respectable as he looked, might not mean to do any good.
The man took a shaky breath, Pete could hear the way his cheap armor shifted with the effort this took before he dismounted. He stood a little shorter than Pete and looked quite a bit weaker at the moment. “I only need a place to stay for the night and possibly food or drink if you have any to spare.”
Pete extended his arm “tell me your name and then I will take you to the inn.” Pete got the sense this man wouldn’t have the means to pay, not that anyone else in this forsaken corner of the world did, but he was sure something could be arranged.
“Patrick.” He took Pete’s arm, holding his horse’s reins with his other hand. It was an unusual name, he also spoke with a foreign accent, Pete made a mental note to ask more about his history in the morning - well, later in the morning. When they got to the entrance to the small inn, which was usually used for housing people while constructions were done at home as opposed to outsiders, Pete took the horse’s reigns to take them to the small stables before rejoining Patrick at the doors “go on. Joseph won’t turn you away. You look like you need rest.” Patrick just nodded in response and walked inside. The door’s closed behind him and Pete was left standing in the dark again, it was a bit lighter than it had been before, though. Sunrise would come soon, Pete still had a poem to finish before the town grew noisy again.
-
It was midday when Pete wandered into the inn and smiled at Joseph, the young innkeeper who could use a long rest and a shave but besides that, was a decent enough person. Joe leaned over the small counter “did you hear? One of the emperor’s own came in half-dead last night.”
Pete just hummed “how is he?”
“Haven’t seen him yet but one of the girls checked to make sure he was still breathing within the last hour. No one knows what happened.”
“Could I check on him?”
Joe gave him a confused look “Peter… why?”
“Just - I saw him last night and he looked bad but also scared. I just want to make sure he’s okay.”
Joe nodded and sighed “alight, but if this goes wrong I’ll have your head. I don’t want another repeat of-”
Pete laughed and was already ducking behind the curtain that separated the lobby from the hallway of rooms before Joe could finish. Finding Patrick’s room wasn’t hard, it was the only one that was still occupied this late in the day. He slipped past the wooden door to see Patrick on the straw bed, his armor and tunics set neatly below the window, as was his sword. Pete had missed that last night but clearly, Joe hadn’t. “Emperor’s own” he’d said, must have been a soldier. Patrick looked up but didn’t move, his head dropping back onto the pillow when he saw who it was “I apologize for my lack of manners. It feels as if I will keel over if I do any more than lay here.”
Pete laughed “I know the feeling. Glad to see you made it through the night. I believe you owe me an explanation, though.” He pulled the chair closer to the bed and sat down “who are you and why are you here?”
Patrick closed his eyes for a moment before answering “my name is Patrick, son of Avitus. My home lays south of Hadriani, laid south of. Well, I suppose you should know that Hadrian’s Wall has fallen, as will the northern front.”
Pete bit the inside of his cheek. Not a Roman soldier then, just a young man protecting his family from the northern Franks when the wall fell. “What became of your family?” He asked, afraid he knew the answer already.
“They’re traveling ahead to Germania. I hoped to travel straight through the nights to catch up with them but it seems… I may have underestimated my injuries.” He tried to sit up a bit and hissed, laying flat again.
“Has the apothecary seen you?” Pete said, pitying this man who couldn’t be much other than himself.
Patrick nodded “this morning while I slept. I thank you and your town for the kindness you’ve shown a stranger. I do not think I ever heard your name.”
“Peter.” He stood up. When you are well enough to walk, have Joe direct you to my shop. I do not want this to be the last time I see you.”
“Oh I doubt I’ll be well enough to go off on my own for quite some time, but I will, as soon as I have the strength to do so.” And then Patrick smiled and Pete felt for a moment that he was back in Rome during his schooling, hiding his face when a group of pretty girls would walk past. He dipped his head before he left. He waited for a moment in the hallway to regain his thoughts. He was definitely looking forward to Patrick’s recovery.
-
It was several days before Pete looked up to see Patrick in the door of his home-based shop. “Ah,” he breathed, standing to walk over and take Patrick’s arm “how is our local celebrity?”
“In quite a good deal of pain, but I wanted to see you.”
There was a moment of silence before Pete offered his chair to Patrick “I’m honored.”
Patrick laughed softly and looked around the room “it seems that I should be the one who is honored. An orator?”
Pete sat down cross-legged in front of Patrick and shrugged “poet more often, but I do what is required.”
“Well then write me something, mister poet.” Patrick took Pete’s hand and smiled “or do you have too many young ladies waiting on your attention for that?”
Pete frowned “what gives you that idea?”
Patrick touched Pete’s jaw gently “don’t take offense, dear, I only mean to flatter.”
Pete scoffed and stood to tidy his work table “well your flattery is far from accurate. And no, before you ask, the women here are not blind nor are they stupid.”
Patrick stood and wrapped the one arm that he could comfortably lift around Pete’s neck “I fear I’ve caused you injury.”
Pete shook his head and rested his forehead against Patrick’s “no, if I have you I have all I need for the moment. Do I have you?”
Patrick smiled and kissed him “yes, dear. What makes you mournful, then?”
Pete leaned back against his table, one arm still wrapped around Patrick’s lower back “that once you are well you will leave again, and then what will I do?”
Patrick pushed Pete’s hair back and looked up at him “I suppose you’ll just have to wait for me to come back.”
Pete looked at him for a second “you’re… your family is in Germania, though. Should you not -”
Patrick cut him off by kissing him again “I will make sure they are settled and provided for and then I will return to you. I told you, I’m yours. I hope you did not take that lightly.”
Pete smiled and wrapped his other arm around Patrick’s waist “then I suppose I can stop paying the apothecary to delay your treatments?”
Patrick laughed and took a step back “I dearly hope you say that in jest, because I feel we could enjoy ourselves so much more if I was not in so much pain.”
Pete took Patrick’s hands to keep him from moving back much more “of course. I would if you asked me to, though.”
“I have no doubt that you would. I’d rather you paid her to hurry it up, though.”
Pete sat down on the chair and Patrick sat on his lap, wincing for a moment before his grimace was replaced by a smile “this whole thing is taking far too long. I am glad I can at least get out of bed now, though. It’s dreadfully boring just watching the shadows on the ceiling all day.”
Pete ran his hands up and down Patrick’s thighs, not really listening to the other man talk anymore “I’m sure it is, dear.”
Patrick huffed out a breath that reminded Pete for a moment of the night he’d first seen Patrick, how broken and weak he’d seemed “where’s your mind gone off to?”
“I’ll just miss you when you’re gone,” Pete admitted.
“You’re missing me when I haven’t even left yet? You’ll miss me twice as long when you do that. Just enjoy me while I’m here.”
“I intend to.”
I didn’t mean for this to be as fluff-filled as it was but I’m tired and have no self-control. Please show this one some love because I’d absolutely love to do a part 2! Just get this post to 50 notes and I’ll make a sequel. Also send me more prompts if you want.
